I live in Ontario. The data published for Jan. 3rd shows 11,351 new cases and they published it like this:
Among the latest cases, 9,040 of the individuals are fully vaccinated, 1,647 are unvaccinated, 445 are partially vaccinated and 219 have an unknown vaccination status.

That says that 14.5% of the cases were in the unvaccinated and remember that many unvaccinated are mandated to get tested in order to work. So how many asymptomatic cases are there in the vaccinated that don't have to get tested, but would test positive?
I would venture to say that 14.5% of the cases are in the unvaccinated is probably artificially high.
Even with this striking data right in front of them they still insist that this is a pandemic of the unvaccinated. I guess they figure that they can lie their way out of this.
These stats are a " look here" not "here". They are a diversion. The vaccine damage is what is creating this hospitalization trend. Two of my patients family members is what I see right now. Arguing over/Parsing defns or what they are including is a rogues game. Give it up people!!!! ALL of this is done, whether in Ontario or Michigan ,to HIDE THE VAXX DAMAGED people.
Fellow Ontario resident. Also remember the definition of "unvaccinated": "people did not have any vaccine dose, or where symptoms started between 0 and less than 14 days after receiving the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine." So, someone is also considered unvaccinated during the first two weeks after receiving their first dose.
No, you read that wrong. There are three groups: Unvaccinated = less than 14 days from first dose; partially vaccinated is 14 days or more after first dose, but before second dose; vaccinated is two doses ... for now. I'm sure they will change that to requiring a booster. QR codes go into effect on January 10th.
But the same data set says 50% of icu patients are unvaxxed whereas they are about 20% of the population. Is that showing efficacy from severe disease how would you explain that playing devil's advocate?

That's a very valid point.
No, they break that down as "partially vaccinated"
Definition from the Ontario govt's hospitalization page:
"Partially vaccinated cases
Number of cases where symptoms started:
14 days or more after receiving the first dose of a 2-dose vaccine series,
or
between 0 and less than 14 days after receiving the second dose of a 2-dose vaccine series."
