There was a great article published by John Hopkins that showed, based on CDC data, there were virtually no excess deaths in 2020 in the U.S. compared to the prior five year average. It also showed other typical causes of death simply dropped off the map. There was such an outcry by the pro-Covid contingent that John Hopkins was shamed into removing it.
A cousin of mine was deathly ill of what was guessed to be flu with a high fever and double pneumonia hospitalized in November of 2019. My beloved and I the weirdest long lasting cold neither of us had ever experienced the first week in December of 2019.
I actually had the same thing, at the same time. However,

A business partner/friend has a HUGE (275 acres) piece of property waaaay out in rural Mississippi and he was thinking of selling it because he doesn't go there as often as he thought he would (to hunt, fish, etc). Some docs do!!! We go to an integrative health practice in the backyard of Wake Forrest med school. Insanely successful. There are dozens around NC. The practice has its own pharmacy and has been prescribing ivermectin throughout. They don’t advertise online for Covid services or treat non-patients for Covid and there is at least a 4- month wait for new patients. Others are treating Covid only patients. The FLCCC has a list of the ones willing to accept Covid only patients. At most independent practices they do not accept Medicare/ Medicaid and are out of network for most insurance. That’s what sets them apart. If they accepted government insurance they’d be like everywhere else. It’s a get what you pay for.
Whatever search engine you use, look for “integrative health practice” or “pro-life physician” near me.they are there. Help them grow.

I have been asking this a while now. I have seen zero studies that prove this. Of course, a lot of unvaccinated are also smart enough not to go to hospital, so my family is not in their stats of people who got it very mildly.
There are enormous numbers of people I know of who clearly got Covid, but who never officially tested or got treatment anywhere. So they will never be included in "official numbers" anywhere. I'd say this situation is widespread. They just have no idea.
If you've read RFK's book, I found it interesting that he used this very tactic with the HIV vaccine that was introduced, if I remember correctly, not too long before the initial pandemic stories were coming out of China. I think it was in clinical trials, and, the announcement put out by Fauci was that while the vax did not prevent acquiring or transmitting HIV, it did prevent death and severe illness. Sound familiar?

I haven't seen anything that backs up that data. I think that would be almost impossible to quantify...those vaccinated say their symptoms were minimal due to the vaccine but how do they know what their symptoms would have been without it? I work with two people who got covid at the same time (they work closely together). One is vaccinated and the other not. They both are healthy, same age, but the unvaccinated one has a heart condition. Both had virtually the same symptoms and duration of my illness. After recovery, the vaccinated person developed shingles.
I never heard about shingles until after they came out with the shingles shot. All my late mother ever talked about was her health issues, and the health issues of her friends, friends of friends, neighbors, random strangers at the grocery store...if it was as rampant as the medical cartel wants us to believe, I would have heard about it from her.
My husband got the shots (original dose... two shots) In April/May 2021. A month ago he got his first shingles vaccine. Was in bed for a full day feeling like crap. Felt like crap the next day too. He said he never had a reaction like that before to any vaccine.

From what I've read and heard (e.g. interviews of doctors, nurses, and researchers), the main causes of death by C19 vaccines so far are (1) clot-related (heart attacks, clots in lungs, strokes) and (2) non-clot-related cardiac (myocarditis, cardiac arrest during vigorous exercise). Also there's a striking incidence of aggressive growth of unusual cancers, and aggressive growth of cancers that have been in remission or that have previously been slow-growing; but I haven't read or heard any data on deaths from these cancers.
I'm just an ignorant layman, but it sure sounds like what would happen if one used a poorly-tested new technology (mRNA) that programs the cells of one's body to produce an alien protein (spike) which the immune system is "supposed" to mount a defense against. It doesn't take an intellectual giant to make the connection, perhaps correct, that many things might go wrong in that optimistic scenario: the body ends up attacking its own cells (heart and circulatory) or the immune system is thrown out of whack, perhaps leading to cancers and auto-immune issues.

We take our young kids to the Caribbean almost every year, and never once on a cruise. I Avoid them like the plague. The industry can’t control norovirus, which is far more terrifying than Covid for my family (and we can now compare - I’ll take the Rona over a stomach bug any day). I’m 39. Viking can do whatever they want - this only confirms if I ever get over my phobia of cruises, I’ll still never take one (at least not with any company othering the unvaccinated at any point in the pandemic - which includes all the cruise lines I know of existing).

There needs to be a chronicle of the lies, at least the major ones, that "trusted" (?) public figures made during the pandemic. The Biden quote would be a case in point. A prime enemy, as the Weiss example notes, is revisionism (not sure correct term): updating one's beliefs or claims as the situation changes. In the Biden case, his claim might be excused by the fact (?) that Pharma never claimed their "vaxxes" would be sterilizing (which may be true.) But even in that case, our leader lied, and presumably did so knowingly, or at least his aides knew so. Many such blunders with Dr. Facui are also easily found.

My mom (fully vaxed) and bro (unvaxed) both had covid recently. Both had mild symptoms. My unvaxed self was in close quarters with both of them and never got sick. It's a cold folks.
It went through my pure blood home the last two weeks. We took some tests, all negative. Then friends told us they don’t work if you test “too soon.” The kids got headaches - one got a fever. The 7 year old recovered in 12 hours. The 10 year old in 30 hours. My husband got a fever, headache, muscle aches, fatigue starting Wednesday night. Thursday morning test, when he felt the worst, negative. Feeling better but tired last night (Friday) we decided to do another test based on the don’t test until your over it feedback. Sure enough that thing turned instantly and boldly positive - no need to wait 10 minutes (even though we dad).

The government of Nova Scotia does not recognize a positive test in my case, I'm unvaxxed, its complicated, but whatever the excuse is it does not matter. Ours were antigen this time, not PCR. I have no clue - but 4 people we talked with had the same thing (tested negative until day 2 or 3). It was literally the last hours of any symptoms he had at all. He was kinda knocked on his bum Thursday when it was negative. So weird.
NonPCR this go-round (can’t find one). Those places that fleece you popped up in our town. For $149 he got a rapid combo flu/ Covid test (which was 2 separate tests).
We had to pay the same place late December so we could board our plane for a Caribbean trip (CVS we scheduled in advance was returning results in 4-5 days so useless).
For the travel test they barely touched us with the swab. For this one they shoved both swans WAY up there for on my husband - the full 4 circles/ 15 seconds each nostrils each time. You give the reason for the test when you schedule. (And I will never test when symptomatic at a 3rd party - that looked painful!!!!).
Even for PCRs we are unvaccinated so they set ours at like 40 cycles.
Anywho - they did the test really correctly and it was still negative. I have no clue why. We talked to 4 other friends who all had the same experience. 🤷♀️

My Vitamin D level is 82, I take Quercitin, zinc, K2, the works. Still, I got Omicron around New Year's Day and I'm still dealing with lingering symptoms. Yes it was a cold but it was the absolute worst cold I've ever had in my life. I even popped Ivermectin doses as soon as I got symptoms.
I have a friend who had COVID and wasn't very sick but later got Influenza A and was very sick for a month. Couldn't get out of bed for days with the flu.
Talked to a friend yesterday and asked how vacation was. She said it sucked I was sock for two weeks. After two years of working with the public, she never caught covid, didn't get the shot. Super healthy. Christmas Eve she has a group of friends over and one of them is not feeling well but says "I took a test and I'm negative I just think it's the effects of the booster." Of course she's pissed and says yeah you probably have freaking covid and you brought it into my house. 3 days later, sure enough, she's sick.

The chart is just cases. Cases are a function of tests. We've accelerated testing, so cases are expected. How many are serious? How many are getting, or even need, early treatment? We should ignore case numbers. Irrelevant.
If we had a test for stupid, and ran tests on big swaths of the population, we'd certainly see a big spike in stupid. But nothing would change.
True David, but they've been using this "cases up" thing on us for years now. It's fun to see it turned on them, and my sheep friends never did understand what I was yelling about when I told them back in March 2020 that cases were up cuz we're testing more (An aside: with my friends it's willful ignorance, but I can't figure out to what end, they used to be fairly bad ass)
It’s not just increased testing though. The positivity rate is through the roof despite the increases in testing. Until this outbreak anything over 10% positivity was considered uncontrolled spread. This outbreak everywhere seeing a rise in cases from Omicron has sustained a positivity rate over 30% for a minimum of a week.
This variant is infecting more people.
The vaccines don’t seem to matter. It spread faster than any previous wave in barely vaccinated South Africa. Same thing in highly vaccinated Israel - though Israel has seen positivity rates around 50% with gross confirmed per capita positives t the highest level seen anywhere at any point in this whole mess. They ousted Australia which won that claim the week before.
The vaccines might increase spread to some extent, but the spread is fast everywhere and they don’t seem to be having any effect on case severity…..
I would argue "hell no," and do in greater detail elsewhere. We already have testimony above, about several new type (?) tests that apparently do not work very well at what these tests are supposed to do -- diagnose an illness.
The illness is diagnosed by symptoms. The test is for infection. The tests do a pretty good job of that. Some false positives and false negatives, but they're a good gauge of prevalence. If the test says negative and you're sick, it might be wrong. If it says you're positive and you're not sick, the test doesn't matter.
Fear makes even badasses irrational. Ignorance feeds fear. The solution is imparting knowledge to overcome their fear. Keep working on them. They'll figure it out.
So, how do we explain more deaths under Biden with a vaccine than under Trump without a vaccine? It doesn’t make sense that there were less deaths when no one was vaxxed. And it wasn’t because mitigation was stronger as many people in free states were living normal lives by summer of 2020 and the rioters were out en masse that summer as well.
Many factors. Statistics indicate some immune suppression in the vaxed. I haven't seen reasons why, but they'll figure it out. Deaths are likely affected by the insane prohibitions of early treatment, which has accelerated in 2021. And the virus has mutated. Best not to jump to conclusions based on simple stats. They're often misleading, inherently or purposely.
You bring up reasonable questions, and I think it's important to analyze evidence correctly. But given that we began vaccinating people in late December 2020 and really upped the numbers by the spring of 2021, shouldn't 2021 have been better if these shots actually had worked? Nobody would ever have thought things would be worse. It's a very embarrassing fact for Fauci and "the smart boys."
There's little doubt the shots don't work, and little doubt they're dangerous. Also little doubt it doesn't matter for most, who have completely adequate immune strength for this routine virus. For the few with weak immune systems, it's not so routine, but it's clear that competent early treatment would have saved most of them. If justice still works, tony and his disciples -- and "the science" -- will be properly punished. Embarrassment is not enough for millions of unnecessary deaths and global suffering. When sanity is restored, the entire medical industry will be thoroughly reformed.
Hope is not a good tactic. Prayer might help, but the Lord helps those who help themselves. Sanity will return when we force it to return. Lots of lawsuits are helping expedite solutions. Find good cases that need donations, and help them out. Veto proof majorities in congress are quite possible in November. Support rational candidates. Local candidates, too. Most supporters of the current hysteria aren't evil, just stupid. Become more outspoken. Teach them why they're wrong. If we only hope and pray, the oppression will continue, and probably escalate. Direct action will be required to save America.
Ignoring gross case numbers, yes, but we can’t ignore positivity rates - which are just as elevated as case counts.
Remember when 10% positivity represented “uncontrolled spread”? With Omicron everywhere it’s broken out the positivity rate has been elevated above 30% for at least a week despite the increase in gross numbers.
The one stat that has moved from likely to fact is this thing is infecting more people, at a faster rate, now than at any previous point in the pandemic.
The one consistent is the prohibition on early treatment has cost lives. If your at risk your best chance of surviving wasn’t the vaccine - it was and is access to early treatment.

I use supplements, common sense, scientifically proven internal use essential oils, and diet and exercise. At 58, it all is working quite well. Me too. It’s a fine line. I consider the medical system only for emergencies - appendicitis, stitches, broken bones. Their ‘preventive care model’ lost me a long time ago during my first pregnancy. Coming from Europe I was shocked at the treatment of pregnancy as a dangerous terror about to unfold. There were no midwives or birth tubs in hospitals (not all is great back home but that’s standard!!!). I was disgusted by the paternalistic treatment by obgyns and peds. Yes - but vaccination rates don’t matter. Largely unvaccinated South Africa and India’s death rates plummeted v Delta as did FL, UK, Sweden (when adjusted for outbreak rate). It is odd though - NY seems to have a more elevated death rate than other places with Omicron. Yes, it's pretty clear the vax is irrelevant for most. A few were probably saved with weakened immune system, and vax gave them enough head start that their immune system could finish the job. Healthy people can handle this infection without vax. Seriously comorbid don't have enough immune strength to even respond to the vax.
You can easily look at the charts yourself. Just google covid stats. You can look worldwide and in the US. Yesterday, the US had about 3700 Covid deaths. This compares to a daily high of about 4400 back in Jan of 2021. The running 7 day average right now is lower though at closer to 2500. The death rates are clearly lower given the number of infections. The Omicron strain clearly seems to be less deadly and that seems to be true for both vaccinated and unvaccinated people. The daily deaths are still quite a high number though. It isn't as if 3700 deaths in one day is nothing.

Exactly! I don't agree with many of Alex's basic politics, but I respect him and his integrity as an investigative journalist and he has earned my respect with regard to what he writes on Covid. I believed there was a deadly virus loose in the first part of 2020. I changed my mind on June 1, 2020. Why? On June 1 I copied all the death statistics off the Johns Hopkins site, did a state by state comparison of death rates correlated to Democrat or Republican majority government. I found that the Dem states had a death rate THREE TIMES that of the Republican states. (And let me say that it would have been worse if I had dropped out the obvious RINO states.) Conclusion? This is not a viral plague. This is a politically driven "pandemic".

There was a great article published by John Hopkins that showed, based on CDC data, there were virtually no excess deaths in 2020 in the U.S. compared to the prior five year average. A business partner/friend has a HUGE (275 acres) piece of property waaaay out in rural Mississippi and he was thinking of selling it because he doesn't go there as often as he thought he would (to hunt, fish, etc). The practice has its own pharmacy and has been prescribing ivermectin throughout. They don’t advertise online for Covid services or treat non-patients for Covid and there is at least a 4- month wait for new patients. Others are treating Covid only patients. The FLCCC has a list of the ones willing to accept Covid only patients. At most independent practices they do not accept Medicare/ Medicaid and are out of network for most insurance. That’s what sets them apart. If they accepted government insurance they’d be like everywhere else. It’s a get what you pay for.
Whatever search engine you use, look for “integrative health practice” or “pro-life physician” near me.they are there. Help them grow.

I have been asking this a while now. I have seen zero studies that prove this. Of course, a lot of unvaccinated are also smart enough not to go to hospital, so my family is not in their stats of people who got it very mildly.
There are enormous numbers of people I know of who clearly got Covid, but who never officially tested or got treatment anywhere. So they will never be included in "official numbers" anywhere. I'd say this situation is widespread. They just have no idea.
I haven't seen anyone point to a study that proves this. I think fauci et al just made it up and people parrot it.
If you've read RFK's book, I found it interesting that he used this very tactic with the HIV vaccine that was introduced, if I remember correctly, not too long before the initial pandemic stories were coming out of China. I think it was in clinical trials, and, the announcement put out by Fauci was that while the vax did not prevent acquiring or transmitting HIV, it did prevent death and severe illness. Sound familiar?

I think that would be almost impossible to quantify...those vaccinated say their symptoms were minimal due to the vaccine but how do they know what their symptoms would have been without it? I work with two people who got covid at the same time (they work closely together). One is vaccinated and the other not. They both are healthy, same age, but the unvaccinated one has a heart condition. Both had virtually the same symptoms and duration of my illness. After recovery, the vaccinated person developed shingles.

My husband got the shots (original dose... two shots) In April/May 2021. A month ago he got his first shingles vaccine. Was in bed for a full day feeling like crap. Felt like crap the next day too. He said he never had a reaction like that before to any vaccine.

It happened to a friend of my children..a healthy, sporty male, keeled over and died of a heart attack at a local cafe during a family dinner....on Christmas Eve. :-( He got the booster shot three days before. He was only 24, three months younger than my son. Tragic. Nothing about the cause in the MS papers..only crickets, and a very sad obituary!

Excess deaths seem to occur within a year of "vaccination" and then taper off. Perhaps that is about the length of time that the immune system requires to clean out the insults to the system and the period of time required for those most susceptible to the immune system insult to die from it.
We need more data over time to know if there is a taper, in the unboosted of course. I await those results, as I am hopeful for some of the elderly in my family that they survive that milestone. The $64K question is whether the effects of the vax are reversible for neurological damage.
I wouldn't think the normal or even marginally efficacious "brain health" supplements would be in order here given that the damage is different from age-related brain issues.

You could check the websites of Our World in Data; WHO; and Worldometer for all-cause mortality statistics; but I don't know how "granular" these sources get.
From what I've read and heard (e.g. interviews of doctors, nurses, and researchers), the main causes of death by C19 vaccines so far are (1) clot-related (heart attacks, clots in lungs, strokes) and (2) non-clot-related cardiac (myocarditis, cardiac arrest during vigorous exercise). Also there's a striking incidence of aggressive growth of unusual cancers, and aggressive growth of cancers that have been in remission or that have previously been slow-growing; but I haven't read or heard any data on deaths from these cancers.
I'm just an ignorant layman, but it sure sounds like what would happen if one used a poorly-tested new technology (mRNA) that programs the cells of one's body to produce an alien protein (spike) which the immune system is "supposed" to mount a defense against. It doesn't take an intellectual giant to make the connection, perhaps correct, that many things might go wrong in that optimistic scenario: the body ends up attacking its own cells (heart and circulatory) or the immune system is thrown out of whack, perhaps leading to cancers and auto-immune issues.

Was just listening to the CEO of Viking Cruise lines on Fox interview. From one side of his mouth he says he knows the injected spread the virus as easy as the non injected and then says from other side of mouth that all his passengers need to have been injected and tested prior to disembarking on a Viking cruise. We take our young kids to the Caribbean almost every year, and never once on a cruise. I Avoid them like the plague. The industry can’t control norovirus, which is far more terrifying than Covid for my family (and we can now compare - I’ll take the Rona over a stomach bug any day). I’m 39. Viking can do whatever they want - this only confirms if I ever get over my phobia of cruises, I’ll still never take one (at least not with any company othering the unvaccinated at any point in the pandemic - which includes all the cruise lines I know of existing).

There needs to be a chronicle of the lies, at least the major ones, that "trusted" (?) public figures made during the pandemic. The Biden quote would be a case in point. A prime enemy, as the Weiss example notes, is revisionism (not sure correct term): updating one's beliefs or claims as the situation changes. In the Biden case, his claim might be excused by the fact (?) that Pharma never claimed their "vaxxes" would be sterilizing (which may be true.) But even in that case, our leader lied, and presumably did so knowingly, or at least his aides knew so. Many such blunders with Dr. Facui are also easily found.

My mom (fully vaxed) and bro (unvaxed) both had covid recently. Both had mild symptoms. My unvaxed self was in close quarters with both of them and never got sick. It's a cold folks.
It went through my pure blood home the last two weeks. We took some tests, all negative. Then friends told us they don’t work if you test “too soon.” The kids got headaches - one got a fever. The 7 year old recovered in 12 hours. The 10 year old in 30 hours. My husband got a fever, headache, muscle aches, fatigue starting Wednesday night. Thursday morning test, when he felt the worst, negative. Feeling better but tired last night (Friday) we decided to do another test based on the don’t test until your over it feedback. Sure enough that thing turned instantly and boldly positive - no need to wait 10 minutes (even though we dad).

Maybe I should have got tested.. but why bother.. the only thing it will bring me is moar problems. The government of Nova Scotia does not recognize a positive test in my case, I'm unvaxxed, its complicated, but whatever the excuse is it does not matter. Ours were antigen this time, not PCR. I have no clue - but 4 people we talked with had the same thing (tested negative until day 2 or 3). It was literally the last hours of any symptoms he had at all. He was kinda knocked on his bum Thursday when it was negative. So weird.

NonPCR this go-round (can’t find one). Those places that fleece you popped up in our town. For $149 he got a rapid combo flu/ Covid test (which was 2 separate tests).
We had to pay the same place late December so we could board our plane for a Caribbean trip (CVS we scheduled in advance was returning results in 4-5 days so useless).
For the travel test they barely touched us with the swab. For this one they shoved both swans WAY up there for on my husband - the full 4 circles/ 15 seconds each nostrils each time. You give the reason for the test when you schedule. (And I will never test when symptomatic at a 3rd party - that looked painful!!!!).
Even for PCRs we are unvaccinated so they set ours at like 40 cycles.
Anywho - they did the test really correctly and it was still negative. I have no clue why. We talked to 4 other friends who all had the same experience. 🤷♀️

My Vitamin D level is 82, I take Quercitin, zinc, K2, the works. Still, I got Omicron around New Year's Day and I'm still dealing with lingering symptoms. Yes it was a cold but it was the absolute worst cold I've ever had in my life. I even popped Ivermectin doses as soon as I got symptoms.

Talked to a friend yesterday and asked how vacation was. She said it sucked I was sock for two weeks. After two years of working with the public, she never caught covid, didn't get the shot. The chart is just cases. Cases are a function of tests. We've accelerated testing, so cases are expected. How many are serious? How many are getting, or even need, early treatment? We should ignore case numbers. Irrelevant.
If we had a test for stupid, and ran tests on big swaths of the population, we'd certainly see a big spike in stupid. But nothing would change.

It’s not just increased testing though. The positivity rate is through the roof despite the increases in testing. Until this outbreak anything over 10% positivity was considered uncontrolled spread. This outbreak everywhere seeing a rise in cases from Omicron has sustained a positivity rate over 30% for a minimum of a week.
This variant is infecting more people.
The vaccines don’t seem to matter. It spread faster than any previous wave in barely vaccinated South Africa. Same thing in highly vaccinated Israel - though Israel has seen positivity rates around 50% with gross confirmed per capita positives t the highest level seen anywhere at any point in this whole mess. They ousted Australia which won that claim the week before.
The vaccines might increase spread to some extent, but the spread is fast everywhere and they don’t seem to be having any effect on case severity…..

Not perfectly, but fairly reliable. One test is unreliable, but a million tests is probably reliable plus or minus a few percent.

I would argue "hell no," and do in greater detail elsewhere. We already have testimony above, about several new type (?) tests that apparently do not work very well at what these tests are supposed to do -- diagnose an illness.
The illness is diagnosed by symptoms. The test is for infection. The tests do a pretty good job of that. Some false positives and false negatives, but they're a good gauge of prevalence. If the test says negative and you're sick, it might be wrong. If it says you're positive and you're not sick, the test doesn't matter.
I took test at first symptoms, negative. Then after 2 days positive.
Same with my husband. He finally tested positive the evening of day two when he was pretty much over it. 😂

So, how do we explain more deaths under Biden with a vaccine than under Trump without a vaccine? It doesn’t make sense that there were less deaths when no one was vaxxed. And it wasn’t because mitigation was stronger as many people in free states were living normal lives by summer of 2020 and the rioters were out en masse that summer as well.
Many factors. Statistics indicate some immune suppression in the vaxed. I haven't seen reasons why, but they'll figure it out. Deaths are likely affected by the insane prohibitions of early treatment, which has accelerated in 2021. And the virus has mutated. Best not to jump to conclusions based on simple stats. They're often misleading, inherently or purposely.

When sanity is restored, the entire medical industry will be thoroughly reformed.

Hope is not a good tactic. Prayer might help, but the Lord helps those who help themselves. Sanity will return when we force it to return. Lots of lawsuits are helping expedite solutions. Find good cases that need donations, and help them out. Veto proof majorities in congress are quite possible in November. Support rational candidates. Local candidates, too. Remember when 10% positivity represented “uncontrolled spread”? With Omicron everywhere it’s broken out the positivity rate has been elevated above 30% for at least a week despite the increase in gross numbers.
The one stat that has moved from likely to fact is this thing is infecting more people, at a faster rate, now than at any previous point in the pandemic.
The one consistent is the prohibition on early treatment has cost lives. If your at risk your best chance of surviving wasn’t the vaccine - it was and is access to early treatment.
Your best chance of survival is healthy immune system. Early treatment is more 8mportant for the rest. Maybe some will learn from this episode.

I use supplements, common sense, scientifically proven internal use essential oils, and diet and exercise. At 58, it all is working quite well. Me too. It’s a fine line. I consider the medical system only for emergencies - appendicitis, stitches, broken bones. Their ‘preventive care model’ lost me a long time ago during my first pregnancy. Coming from Europe I was shocked at the treatment of pregnancy as a dangerous terror about to unfold. There were no midwives or birth tubs in hospitals (not all is great back home but that’s standard!!!). I was disgusted by the paternalistic treatment by obgyns and peds. The sentiment goes don’t worry your pretty little head, don’t read doctor google and now do all the tests you don’t need and take tons of rx meds you don’t need!!!
I had the opportunity to being able to compare treatment guidelines from two countries and got into reading papers in 2008. Much of what’s wrong with maternity care is true for children and adults alike. The Cochrane collab is a good source.

It is odd though - NY seems to have a more elevated death rate than other places with Omicron. In Florida, roughly 25% more (all causes) deaths in 2021 than in 2019, about 8% more than 2020. We are a Red state and people move here, but not 25% in two years. We can argue about causes, but dead people don't argue. 😎

Yes, it's pretty clear the vax is irrelevant for most. A few were probably saved with weakened immune system, and vax gave them enough head start that their immune system could finish the job. You can easily look at the charts yourself. Just google covid stats. You can look worldwide and in the US. Yesterday, the US had about 3700 Covid deaths. This compares to a daily high of about 4400 back in Jan of 2021. The running 7 day average right now is lower though at closer to 2500. The death rates are clearly lower given the number of infections. The Omicron strain clearly seems to be less deadly and that seems to be true for both vaccinated and unvaccinated people. The daily deaths are still quite a high number though. It isn't as if 3700 deaths in one day is nothing.
Never underestimate how UN healthy America is to begin with and that was before the last two years. Just walk around a local grocery store and you will see the realties. Not to mention how medicated America is compared to rest of the world. Its pretty crazy how many medications people take daily in America. Is it any wonder why so many immune systems are susceptible to just about everything these days?

All current and former NYT reporters suffer from an affliction of ego. Alex has a much better brain for business and why he left. He gets his subscribers pay, and while he doesn’t now to demands or cow-tow for subscriptions, he has enough respect to pay attention to his subscribers and respond. It makes him a better journalist and many like me more willing to speak up when annoyed, but not hit cancel.
Bari doesn’t do that. Whenever she opens her mouth about Covid her ratio, from the people paying her, is about as bad as Chelsea Clinton calling others grifters on Twitter. She’s always peddling nonsense, along with Nellie. I saw dozens of comments specifically refuting why her attempt at the “refute Alex” box wasn’t even relevant. I will gladly pay someone who disagrees with me and can say why and makes mistakes. I refuse to pay an arrogant, childless, 36 year old “journalist” who is either lazy journalism, or overtly pushing that which she knows to be false on behalf of the propagandist. Either way, I’m not paying for it anymore.
Exactly! I don't agree with many of Alex's basic politics, but I respect him and his integrity as an investigative journalist and he has earned my respect with regard to what he writes on Covid. I can ignore the areas where we disagree politically, but I trust his journalistic instincts in most cases. Bari turned out to be a disappointing lightweight.
I think it’s just the difference in approach too. Alex acknowledges his subscribers exist and drive his Substack earnings. He’s got a long term perspective, so he’s not going cave or anything he disagrees with, but he acknowledges his audience is paying him and that sets higher expectations.
If Alex wants to write about mud pies, and we all say we don’t want to read about mud pies, Alex will either add extra content in addition to mud pies, or not write so much about mud pies.
If Bari wants to write about mud pies being healthy, and we say “not the ones full of fresh cow dung, please stop writing about mud pies because we don’t care about mud pies - but if you are still going to, stop including fresh cow 💩 because that’s a good way to get people really sick” Bari would continue writing about the importance of including fresh cow 💩 in your “super healthy” mud pies…….. I’m not paying for that.

Well, this is clearly the fault of the people who didn't get the vaccine! If only everyone had gotten instantaneously vaccinated then the virus wouldn't have had anywhere to mutate. Oh, except for all the animals but we could just kill all the animals. In Hong Kong, they found 11 hamsters who tested positive for Covid so now they are literally killing ALL the pet hamsters.
