We're here and ready to help in anyway we can. I feel like it's such a small contribution. Alex you are the one sticking your neck out. But we all stand with you. TRUTH first and last. Freedom first and last.

Well said, Janna!

Hats off to Alex here. If they're coming at him from all sides, he's doing everything right. But that just shows what they're willing to do to shut everyone down and accept this tyranny as the new normal. And sadly that narrative has already been accepted by far too many people. Freedom can be lost in a millisecond. We've seen this show replay throughout history over and over again. Live free or die.

Jeff,

As a long time Amazon Prime member, practicing physician, University Professor, board certified microbiologist and healthcare executive I am just letting you know that Alex Berenson’s books are all eminently defensible and often more correct than much of what is peddled as “truth” these days with regard to COVID.

Science and knowledge are driven by informed debate. Alex is top of that list.

Elizabeth Warren does not have the credentials, the knowledge, or the gravitas to opine on these matters. To her it is just politics. I assume as a thinking human interested in the truth (you would have to be true for someone who starts out disseminating books) that you will not only ignore her insistence that you “cancel” Berenson because he does not agree with the (only partially correct) popular narrative, but that you will stand up and tell her what you think of the repression of thought that she espouses.

Thanks from a loyal customer.

My email:

I read more and more accounts of book burnings (Ray Bradbury must be turning over in his grave) and groups forcing libraries not to carry books they deem dangerous or offensive. No doubt you see this phenomenon far more clearly than I do. It's frightening from my perch, I can't imagine what it must be like from where you sit.

Of course, that comes with the assumption that you share my perspective that books and the ideas contained therein should always be free to circulate. I'm hoping this assumption is true.

The most recent specific case I've become aware of is Senator Elizabeth Warren demanding you ban books on covid by Alex Berenson. He is meticulous in citing the sources for the facts contained in these books. These sources are always straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak - the government, FDA, CDC, etc.

It's not fair or right to characterize his works as "misinformation". Rather it's high quality information that some people, for reasons of their own, don't like.

Senator Warren would actually do well to read Mr. Berenson's booklets (I'd bet a lot of money that she hasn't) so she actually understood what it is she's so intent on pressuring you to ban.

At any rate, I am writing to you at this account to ask that you not give in to Senator Warren's demands. Give in on this first demand and a great many more will be sure to follow.

Respectfully,

Mr Bezos

One of the bedrock values of our country, as demonstrated in the first amendment to the US Constitution, is the right to free speech. With unrestrained free speech, reason and objectivity always prevail. The US Supreme Court has defended this principle for centuries. Censorship is a scourge on this country and may be the single biggest threat to the American right to self government.

You certainly know that censorship has been the lynchpin to authoritarian government around the world in many countries throughout history. No one should forget Mao, Stalin, Lenin, Hitler, Castro, Pol Pot and other dictators that killed millions under their rule.

Now we hear that a US Senator has demanded Amazon to stop selling certain books that document factual scientific information based on public sources and research. Many Americans call on you and your team to ignore these demands for censorship and defacto book burning.

Just say no.

Stephen

I stopped all political contributions after the fraud election in November. Also stopped buying books published on the regular by the usual suspects in the political commentator arena. Happy to use some of that money to purchase your work. History will look kindly upon you.

I used to work at Amazon. Bezos does read most emails to the jeff@ email address. He delegates them down to various teams and sometimes answers directly. The new CEO likely does too.
