There is something seriously defective in the liberal personality that makes them incapable of solving difficult problems... and thus the problems just compound. I live in an 80% liberal college town on the leftcoast and the roads are a mess, the budget is a mess, there is not enough housing, crime is increasing, programs are being cut, the downtown is falling in disrepair, there are crazy homeless people everywhere. Yet the City Council debates for a full meeting having to allow 100s of concerned citizens to speak on the agenda item to condemn Russia and Putin in their invasion of Ukraine. And to change the decal on the police cars from a "menacing eagle" to something like flowers or a bicycle. Really, that is what is important in their twisted little heads.
We've farmed out so much of our manufacturing and service industries that we no longer know how to do anything for ourselves. This has been coming for a long, long time. Wait until everything is done by robots and computers and the only folks who know how to "fix" or adjust them live in a certain country on the other side of the globe. Biden and his administration (and the RINOS) are simply icing the cake now and it isn't even real icing nor is it real cake.
As an airline pilot, this is unfortunately going to get a lot worse. We simply don’t have enough pilots. It’s going to reach crisis levels pretty soon. There are many reasons for this. During the height of Covid, almost all airlines gave buyouts to senior pilots to save jobs, we are just entering a period of unprecedented pilot retirements, the military doesn’t have the same number of pilots they once did, civilian flight training is prohibitively expensive. In the past, starting pilot pay was welfare wages and many changed careers or just stayed away. It takes many years to properly train a pilot. Then it takes many more years for these pilots to gain experience to qualify for airline jobs. This problem is getting worse by the day. I would guess that by the end of the year, the pipeline will be close to dried up. The regionals will get hit the hardest. Then the JetBlue’s, Spirits and other low cost carriers.
All of the above. I don't trust anyone anymore. Not my doctor, not the supply chains, not my employer, not the economy, not my friends. I bought bags of dry goods, a rifle, and ten acres of remote land. I sold all of my stocks at the top and put it all in crypto. I'm going to start a garden and a business to reduce my dependency on these corrupt companies and politicians. Inflation is not transitory, and it's not accidental. Just like viruses, inflation can be an unconventional weapon against the citizenry. I urge everyone to try to be as self sufficient as possible. Learn to hunt, grow food, fix things, and get strong now, train like you're going to war. The people around us are going to need help when the next shoe drops.
Maybe they will give you some carbon credits for helping prevent the ocean from rising a hundredth of a fucking inch over the next 200years. Maybe John Kerry will wave from his private jet as he flies by.

I have two pilots in the family that fly for different airlines. Here is the scoop from them. First, during the pandemic there was a serious need to decrease headcount. They did this by encouraging early retirement and voluntary furloughs/reduced pay to stay home (my relative didn’t work for over a year by choice. Second, pilots who don’t fly need training to get back in the pit, but there are also shortages of trainers and trainers need to train (months behind)… Third, Oddly enough, even with inflation and high ticket cost there’s a huge increase in demand for travel since Covid restrictions have lifted. Hence, massive issues for most of the airlines. Add in any Covid related terminations and you have a massive problem with air travel right now. Hope this helps.

Some folks are stupid and/or they'll do whatever the state tells them. But, not everyone is like this. Most have figured out that those who publicly staked out positions re masks, vaccines, natural immunity and social distancing, were dead wrong. My 14 year old son was supposed to fly back from Puerto Rico last Friday midnight- flight was cancelled 2 hours before, couldn’t get another flight until Sunday late afternoon & it was cancelled less than 30 minutes before take off. They were told staff had “exceeded flying hours”. He finally made it home Thursday at 1:30am after having to fly home first class because that was only ticket left. First flight was “Spirit”, second “Frontier”, final “Delta”. This is vaccine mandates for sure!
What gets me is how everyone does not see all of this as 100% intentional as of April 8, 2022. What is it gonna take to wake enough people up to know this?
