Same! I’ve had to let go of other paid subs bc the content was at least 50% or more podcasts/video. I’m here to READ. And I exclusively “read” fiction etc (for pleasure) via audiobook and thus reserve my listening time to that because when I’m doing other things like housework or tedious work activities I listen to a book, not some outrageous podcast. I want to be entertained not educated or angered or disgusted and depressed by how shitty our government is. I prefer to read all bad news and be entertained by my listening habits. There are a few exceptions but honestly not very many. And I generally don’t make it more than 30 minutes. Some of my favorite substacks actually write excellent summaries of the most important podcasts! I’m looking at you SIMULATIONCOMMANDER!
