While strong ideology on either side almost inherently contains elements of fantasy: We can defund the police and nothing will happen! The Russian dictator stands for ‘Merica’s values!
No... the "radicals" are correct on Ukraine i.e. Tucker Carlson, Rand Paul, etc... Being anti-war does not make you a strong ideological fanatic.
Had Trump followed through on withdrawing from NATO, this war would not have happened, and the NYT is somehow using this war to critique his foreign policy? What "reality" is this?!
The Neo-cons and Obama Admin are largely to blame for this War:
Still hear that creep asking for money from "we the people" during his re-election 2020 campaign on Tucker and Hannity. Such a deep end swamp creature for sure!
I remember him whining about his opponent have way more campaign funds and begging for money as well as Trumps endorsement... I also remember him saying after the January 6th Capital tour that he was completely done with Trump...
Trump's foreign policy was such a disaster that we were involved in no new foreign wars, created the Abram Accords which got the Arabs and Israelis onto the same page, kept Putin out of Ukraine, and got the Saudis to open the spigots when Trump requested.
Thank God Trump is gone! Things are so much better now with the "adults" in charge.
Or my money back. I certainly learned my lesson. I will Never donate to a swamp creature again. Of course, there is a VERY easy solution to most of DC's problems- TERM LIMITS, Term Limits, Term Limits!
I don’t recall Tucker promoting Lindsey Graham. I did a search utilizing both names and 2020’s election year news. Several headlines came up with Tucker criticizing Lindsey, the worst was the affair over Woodward’s book and Trump. While I suspect that Tucker has his own biases, I do not recall that he had a bias in favor of Lindsey. He has been sharply critical of him on his war mongering stance recently.
Never said anything about Tucker relating to Graham or how Tucker felt about Graham. Just remember the lil twirp senator on Tuckers show show asking the audience for $$$ at every chance he could so he could continue his RINO way's
I don’t recall such appearances on Tucker’s show. I do on Hannity. I try to watch Tucker every night as I see him as more objective in his reporting. My recall is that he did not have Lindsay on in 2020.
Every chance I get I remind people that he was crying for money on Hannity's show and then once elected, he turned on conservatives. His comments about Jan 6th are insane. He wanted the Capitol Police to shoot the protesters.
I voted for Obama because of McCains little “bomb Iran, bomb bomb Iran” song...... not that it mattered because Obama liked bombs and communism in office and was terrible, but he didn’t actively try to start WW III................
Obama is largely responsible for today’s conflict. In 2004, while still Senator, he secured funding for the biolabs in Ukraine. It was Obama’s government that installed Zelensky.
As a former SC resident with many friends in SC - they would be thrilled to get rid of Lindsey - but there has not been a willingness by the SC GOP to primary him - for fear that the result would be a Democrat getting that seat.
Large portions of SC are reliably conservative and will vote that way - but at a state level, it is possible for a Democrat to win... unfortunately.
Scare?...we knew who they are and who they are beholden too. The swamp is gonna swamp. We the people who pay these servants fleeced again. Kind of feels like Dr. Strange locked in a time redundancy with Dormammu.
I saw that today. I just started to laugh. Eliminating the time change is the least of our worries at the moment and doesn't make up for a damn thing (no matter how much I'm for it and how long it has been in coming nor how silly it was to begin with). It's like giving someone a Twinkie when you've just burnt down their house and expecting gratitude.
Russia surprised me. I expected they would defend Donbas, luring Ukrainian army units into cauldrons like at Debaltsevo in 2014-15. I really didn't think they would invade in force. That was wrong as were all the wars US has engaged in over the last 70 years, but apparently their military thought the alternative was untenable and convinced Putin to invade in force. I refuse to condemn the Russians. They are clearly doing all they can to avoid civilian casualties. No "shock and awe," and I do blame US military/foreign policy of the last 30 years including Trump in a relatively minor way.
I'm sorry to hit down like this - but anyone who thinks Nader has a brain. OMG. The Left is simply those who worship the State. The State, of course - is full of the worst Humanity has to offer. Make sense? No. Does that matter to the Left? Fraid not.
UN says the number of civilian casualties is +/- 500. Compare that to the same UN's figure for civilian deaths in Iraq: +/- 800,000. So Evil Vlad has +/- 799,500 to go before he matches the evil of Bush and Obama. Based on the body count I would take Mother Russia over Mother Mom and Apple Pie any day. Somebody tell Joy Reid
If you believe UN you have to believes that COVID started in the wet market in Wuhan and all problems in the world are because of Israel. How the hell UN knows what is going on there? No one has seen them here.
You are little bit behind the curve. Over 75 years behind. You should have mentioned Israel's Gaza campaign with precision guided bombs. That is what is called avoiding civilian casualties, not what your favorite dicktator is doing.
I wouldn't have done the 9-11 false flag in the first place. Burning jet fuel does not appreciably weaken structural steel, and there are a whole lot of other unexplained anomalies. There would have been nothing for the dancing Israelis to record.
End all foreign immigration. Secure the borders. Ban Islam. Ban any and all commerce with Islamic countries. Deport all visa holders, illegals, and green card holders. Revoke birthright citizenship. Severely restrict foreign travel and track all foreign nationals.
Yes, I think the increased shelling accelerated their plans. Plus they may have had intel Ukraine was going to strike in force imminently. One source indicated they beat the Ukies by 24 hours. Zelensky's speech talking about nukes helped to seal things. Russia is not a dictatorship. The majority of the military and Duma was with him on this, and his approval ratings among Russians is up 10%. Only the core of the empire has condemned Russia. The rest of the world incl SA and Africa abstained. People are tired of the bullying. The dollar may collapse.
Wishful thinking in the NYT headline Alex cites "Trump-era foreign policy fading". What a joke. The right take is "Trump-era foreign policy massively rising". People ARE_NOT_STUPID, they know the difference between peace and prosperity and war and financial collapse. Nice try AGAIN Alex, no I don't think the Grey Lady want you back no matter how much water you carry for them.
A little shocked that absolutely no one in the morning coffee group was at all concerned about the petrol dollar no longer THE standard for oil trade !! That could be devastating for us,our whole country... and no concern at all... I live in a community whose population is above the average educational level and... no concern about what this means....Whew, figure that one out !
Probably because they have lived in a country of the coddled and entitled for along time. Have never truly been thru such things. Just a guess, but I see it around me all the time. It's as if they simply have never felt pain before...not like what the dollar collapse would do. The globalists want the dollar to collapse for the re-set.
Maurice Strong was an insluential Canadian globalist who died in 2015. He was quoted in 1992 saying, "What if a small group of world leaders were to conclude that the principal risk to the Earth comes from the actions of the rich countries? And if the world is to survive, those rich countries would have to sign an agreement reducing their impact on the environment. Will they do it? The group's conclusion is 'no'. The rich countries won't do it. They won't change. So, in order to save the planet, the group decides: Isn't the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn't it our responsibility to bring that about?"
We are certainly partly to blame for this "war", but there is much more to it. Look to global factions and all the related details. I do think Trump, MIGHT, have been able to stave this off, but this is much deeper that simply "ruffled feathers" (and yes, "ruffled feathers" is a considerable minimization).
everyone is in an uproar about what Putin does, but our damn govt. just ROBS us with money printing and taxes, KILLS us by withholding drugs or only allowing the accepted treatment which kills us and "creates" conflicts in other countries until the leader they want removed is taken out (too bad for all the casualties among the citizens). Cheats, Lies, Censors and on and on I could go. We are no better than Putin just because we do it all under the cloak of something else while he does it all in the open for the world to see.
We have no business being involved in this conflict as far as the safety of United States citizens. Which means only one thing, follow the money trail. All these chicken hawks calling for assasinations and war must have financial interests at stake. Because the solution seems pretty simple, promise Russia Ukraine will never join NATO, and let these two countries figure out there border issues. I am proudly 100% against this entire charade.
FYI: Ukraine will never join NATO. This subject is closed. Russia shall never re-assemble its evil empire and shall never threaten the world again. That is what needs to be solved.
yeah, how on earth does the US have any clout when Biden/HUNTER fleeced the Ukrainians for their personal enrichment? Hunter and DAD enriched themselves and DAD the "big guy" eliminated the official who was investigating them while under the Obama Admin?? DumbAss Biden bragged on cam that he would withold billions of aid until Ukraine ousted the officiall and he'd sit there until it happened. I believe this is why Putin doesn't give a shit about the USA and he knows how corrupt FJB is. Same thing with China and all of our corrupt leaders who have their tentacles into China including FJB and Pelosi and Hubby. Any agency or officials involved in this should be prosecuted and jailed under any circumstances. Reverse Marshall law against the corrupt elected officials. They know that they are corrupt and that is why they erected fences around the capital after Jan 6th...they knew they were complicit in the faux attack and feared retaliation.
President Trump questioned the role of NATO when members don't pay their dues and members look to Russia for energy. He was severely critical of Frau Merkel in Germany. He did not promise to withdraw from NATO.
It's a bad thing for Estonia, Finland, Romania, Poland, etc.
For all we say of the Western empire, it doesn't dominate the daily lives and political agencies of small border countries to the same extent that Russia would like to. It still does, too much, but not to the same extent. Poland can still outlaw abortion if the people want that.
While some Neo-cons played into this, it's largely been a Democrat Party controlled effort to irritate Russia and using their woke philosophy and the NATO threat as a stick to poke the bear with that has resulted in what we have today. Didn't take the Obama Administration long with the due diligence of Joe Biden himself to screw things up in Ukraine, which is simply another check mark on the list of ill fated consequences of a Biden involvement. Hey, even the "Worm" in which you give a link to chronicles DNC membership involvement in Ukraine and refuses to go into detail only giving names of GOP interference such as McCain, McConnell and Bolton. The inept Obama Administration whose meddling in foreign affairs lead to massive bloodshed across northern Africa into the middle east in a rapid and tragic series of events surely set up the events we're seeing today in Ukraine.
Zelensky did his countrymen absolutely NO favor at all by voicing his support for nuclear weapons in Ukraine. I wonder how we in America would feel if Mexico and Cuba suddenly conducted nuclear tests and declared themselves full members of that elite club!
I'm surely NO Vladimir Putin apologist but when these events that have transpired since 2014 are taken into advantage and the rise to power of a comedian who has ZERO experience worthy of even dusting the office of the Ukrainian presidency, Russian involvement in Ukraine seems to be more clear and understandable and by that I do NOT mean righteous at all, just understandably clearer. Whenever my ears got wind of the nuclear comments made by Zelensky it made me wonder if Putin was just going to let that pass w/o actions.
People with peaceful intentions should have been at the fore of talks to ensure Ukrainian peace all along but seems like US foreign policy interests reigned supreme along with a couple of smaller EU interests. But strangely now we have Putin's approval rating UP 10%? And Zelensky support had dwindled to a mere 25% prior to the invasion and a whopping 62% of his own countrymen did not want him to continue as President? Seemed like Ukraine had it's own "Brandon/FJB" issue going on!
But whatever transpires we need to sit this one out.
You have to up-vote your own comments? And, no, I prefer neither of your favorites. Reading my offering above should have made it clear to even the most casual observer!
Thanks for prompting me to read the Worm's post. Of course, none of it was new to me. All true and amply documented. The only thing I would add is that Yanukovych "lost support from his allies" and fled largely as a result of the sniper killings on the Maidan. These were blamed on Yanukovych at the time, but since then significant evidence of a right-wing false flag attack has emerged, including the remote testimony of Georgian gunmen and airline documents showing they flew to Ukraine in that time frame. George Friedman, the Founder and CEO of Stratfor, the 'Shadow CIA' firm said, "It really was the most blatant coup in history." There's little in the public domain to indicate CIA involvement, which is probably why the Worm omitted it, but given Deep State involvement with so many other coups over the years, it it certainly to be suspected.
Not only in Ukraine. Poor Bidet took bribes from Russia too. That is why Ukraine is not getting the Migs, but getting something less than that. Really tough situation for Joe.
What the article claims isn’t true. The far left is calling on Biden to declare a “climate emergency” and use the defense production act to direct US manufactures to make “green” products. It also calls for a ban on all drilling and fracking in federal lands. All by executive demands because “climate.”
Biden has signaled he’s open to it.
The center is losing ground because it’s mostly spineless.
On the contrary, everything the Worm wrote is true. Evidence is all public domain. The only thing he left out was the neo-Nazi false flag sniper attack on the Maidan that caused Yanukovych to lose support of allies and flee. Of course the rest of what you wrote is true (regarding energy). Much of the center is indeed spineless, simply going along to get along, but they are driven by globalist interests that entertain the contradictory goals of wanting both to control the imperial center and to destroy it.
The news article claims this is empowering the center. As you said, the center is spineless. They have little power because they refuse to take or use the huge amount of power available to them. We are a center to center right country. We have insane politicians. And bipartisan war mongers. And the extreme directing the policies - the extreme left or the bi-partisan extreme war mongers at the moment.
I agree with the rest. The US journalist killed last week at the Ukrainian checkpoint was also killed by the Ukrainians who filmed his warm dying body for propoganda. Same at the 2014 snipers killing their own for a coup.
war is centrist. that's the reality. hence, the bipartisan support. "put peace before profit"? is that what zelensky said, this morning? lol! tell that to the u.s arms complex. they want a share of the plunder before the dollar collapses. (watching big pharma made them jealous.)
How did your war prayers work out? "Dear God, can I have a just brutal war? (You know, like Iraq, and Libya, and Syria?) We have to protect the Constitution. For some reason, it's in corrupt Ukraine with our (literal Nazi) pals and the biolabs we denied were there but now admit are there. Thanks!"
Remember: God helps those who help themselves. Since your prayer wasn't answered, get off your butt, head to Ukraine and grab a rifle (for God and Country). 🤡
I respectfully disagree. Spaceworms says: "Putin tolerated such expansions for decades, and while it was not without complaints and retaliatory acts of his own, he clearly is not a madman intent on re-establishing the Soviet Union."
Putin has assassinated several people around the world. He also decided Crimea was Russia's. Now he has decided that Ukraine needs to be back where it belongs. He blew up an apartment complex in Russia to blame the Chechnians so he could invade Chechnya. Is that the work of a madman or not?
Russia is only the 11th biggest economy in the world. To put this in perspective, California is number 6. Seems like Russia doesn't have he status that it may have once had.
Horse Puckey. Biden and the anti-oil folks in America are to blame for this. If we were energy independent right this minute. Oil would be $55.00 a barrel, and gas would be back at $259.99..... The neo cons, whoever the hell that is, nor Obama is to blame for this. Biden can't make a cogent decision. He is a retarded person now. He was a crooked democrat for his whole life, now he is just a retarded human being. Time to change your poopy pants Joe. I am sorry, that was uncalled for. My apologies for his cleanup nurse Dr. Jill.
One can be anti war, and yet, understand Putin’s positions. Surrounded on all sides, a 2014 Obama drive color Revolution that displaced an elected pro Russia President with a pro west stooge.
Look, the US and EU broke their commitments and assurances to both sides multiple times since the end of WW2. I assume you understand that, if not, happy to explain. Putin may have been going to go in anyway, but the US and EU (and especially the current US administration) needed a new “shiny thing” to divert attention from the hellhole of a country they have created in the past 12 months. The underpinnings of the mess were already there, of course. They have simply and purposefully (IMO) capitalized on every bad situation and made them worse. Aided by the equally corrupt Republican UniParty.
Don’t you find it at least mildly suspect that the entire govt, media establishments, Big Tech, etc pivoted from Covid to a border war 5000 miles away as being the greatest threat to our nation, all within 48 hours.
For the US this is a contrived crisis, that has been made far worse by targeting the people of Russia with sanctions from which there will be no return. USD hegemony is done. That may ultimately be good for the world. But horrible for this country. Nobody really has a clue what is coming. But end of USD means poverty for 10s of millions more in this country.
Agree with everything, except the end of the USD resulting in mass poverty. People do have an alternative - DeFi. And those who make the transition, will not only survive, but thrive.
Thx. But on the defi, I’m not convinced. Conceptually ok. But adoption in minuscule. Regulation is guaranteed. There are far too many options for the avg person to sort through, much less understand. I’m 67. I’ve been stacking Au and Ag for a while. Are you including metals in a broad definition of defi? I own some Ethereum and have used it to transact business with merchants in other countries. So I have a general working knowledge. But enough knowledge or confidence to move a large amount of cash to crypto. No. I also don’t know a single person my age who understands it, much less owns any. I just don’t see mass adoption in the kind of timeframe needed to thwart the coming regulation and massive devaluation of the dollar. And if it is going to happen, where to start. Options are massive, hundreds of coins have already failed. Many more will. And the opinions of what to buy, what platform is safe, centralized, decentralized, soft wallet, hard wallet run the gamut. I’m not disagreeing on the concept. But trying to turn a strategy to get out of the banking system as much as possible into a solid logistical plan is a nightmare for smart folks. For most people an impossible task.
I get your skepticism and apprehension. In my opinion, the solution is simply getting educated. There are a ton of ‘crypto for dummies’ type videos on YouTube, as well as plenty of websites that provide info & teachings. One great thing about DeFi is it is impossible to regulate, like Bitcoin & Ethereum. I believe the more people who make the effort to learn about it and (literally) buy into it, the freer we’ll be from the corrupt & controlling banking system.
Had Trump chosen to correctly use the law, Constitution, EO13848, and the moral authority granted by 80 million votes to fight the coup, we would not be in this mess. In the end, he walked away from a winnable fight. Clearly Bidan’s puppeteers got us into the mess. But Trump set the stage. As he did with Covid. Both decisions are inexplicable.
Actually, they are fairly easily explained. Trump knew what he was getting into, he just didn't know EVERYTHING he was getting into.
He knew the swamp, but he didn't know the depth of the swamp. Think back on it. Not many of us did. I KNEW the acronym agencies were up to some really nasty shit, but sometimes you think the nasty shit is like a gutter when It's actually multiple wells with connecting subterranean tunnels.
Idk whether there was enough fraud to overturn the election (I am aware of some undeniable instances though), but I can tell you, even if he succeeded in doing this the riots would have turned to genuine civil war and the Marshall Law which would be needed to contain them is a dangerous path in and of itself.
Yeah. I think that is about correct. I might give him a bit more credit than you do in that regard, but I’ll bet over a brew (water for me) we could work that out. I always try and find amusement in bad situations. My line about Trump is that he got super famous on TV with two words “You’re fired.” But he never seemed to be able to say those words in the WH when they were most needed. Had he done so (Fauci, Birx , Redfield, Cippilone, etc) he would likely still be POTUS. And at least, rather than virtue signaling about a centuries old border conflict, we might be making progress on our own sovereignty on the southern border.
His desire to be liked and praised always overruled everything else. Cannot have been an easy thing for him to accept how wrong he was about most of his friends, associates and the left. Same as with all the COVID antics and people accepting how they have been duped.....rare for it to happen
Some dissidents on the scamdemic (possibly RFK Jr?) did talk to him and he seemed to listen, but then went the "safe" route. He did hire Scott Atlas, but apparently didn't listen to him. He should have fired Rick Bright for insubordination after Bright sabotaged the EUA for HCQ by limiting it to those already hospitalized.
This is typical idiot comparison. Trump era foreign policy likely would have resulted in NO INVASION in the first place! I am so sick of this “conservatives are pro Putin” BS! Just because Tucker Carlson raises questions and takes the perspextive of what he thinks is best for AMERICA regarding entanglements and addresses corruption in Ukraine while not wanting other peoples kids to go over and get killed doesn’t mean he thinks that vodka chugging thug in Moscow is not a war criminal committing an illegal invasion!
Yeah those prescient policies where he told the Germans not to get oil from Russia with the Nordstream 2 pipeline, to pay more money into NATO and to rebuild their army and defenses- oh whooops, that all turned out to be true.
"We can defund the police and nothing will happen!" Yes lots of major mainstream leftists have said this and more, such as defunding the police will improve things and "make our communities safer", etc. Some are even still saying it.
"The Russian dictator stands for ‘Merica’s values!" I have never heard anyone say anything close to this. Did I miss something?
Please go back to Covid. So much is happening right now and we need your insight on it. The vaccine side effects appear to be hitting the fan, but we need you to breakdown the numbers.
Alex, who is saying Putin stands for American values? Or, if this is a caricature of certain people on the right, who are you caricaturing? Everybody on the right I've heard seems to be bending over backward to say that Putin is a horrible dictator in the same way they bent over backward (or maybe forward) to say that the vaccine is safe and effective while fighting against mandates. (The number of disclaimers one has to put in front of one's argument tells you a lot about the state of free speech and debate in this country. It's one of the reasons I was careful to delete the shield of a disclaimer I put in front of this comment.)
IMO, you are also correct. The "center" (hate using the terms right, left, and center) is just a slower erosion of the Constitution of the United States of America.
I don't care how someone labels themselves or others. Our Constitution, I believe, is what every nation would do well to adopt and strictly adhere to.
Anything else is simply NOT constitutional.
The only problem we have in the US is those that swear oaths of office to uphold and protect the Constitution (think Supreme Court Justices, et al) but have NO intention to do so.
All this shit for things that could be resolved by proper application of our Constitution.
Lockdown? NO. That violates the constitution.
Mandates? NO, that violates the constitution.
The list goes on...and on...
I truly don't think it is possible to create a more perfect founding document.
Yet it has been allowed to be trampled, time and time again, even more so now.
It is more of an up/down rather than left/right thing although it is shamefully weird how little the left believes in the civil liberties they used to rely on when they were the minority report
Seems to me Trump-era foreign policy actually kept us out of conflicts. This is the NYT trying to down play the influence of people like Tucker Carlson as too many are starting to consider other explanations about the timing of this conflict and the ready-made narrative ("You must support Ukraine!"). I feel like we just went through a parallel experience recently.....hmmmm....can't quite put my finger on it.
You'd have to be an idiot to think defunding police is going to help the situation. Or sending five foot tall 100 pound women social workers to deal with three hundred pound men having nervous breakdowns
While the left generally supported defund the police and BLM for the past two years, not a single conservative voice I know of suggested that Putin stands for America’s values.
We have a serious lack of people DISCUSSING what the hell is going on in Ukraine, just as we had a serious lack of discussion about covid--with all the nuances and variables.
Worse: the few who are DISCUSSING these matters are suddenly "treasonous."
And while we're on the subject, Zelensky is NOT Churchill.
I don't know why we can't just be grownups and accept criticisms of Ukraine (like they're no angels) while attempting to help them. (At the very least we have to make good on our promise to stick by them if they gave up their nukes.) The way to fascism is paved with absolutism and purity tests.
"Strong ideology" prevented Russian-Bad-Man from doing what he's doing, before now (see Crimea & the Obama-Biden Administration)
Ukraine is a corrupt money-laundering machine for American politicians, filled with actual neo-Nazis (see the Azov Battalion)
Ukraine has been the United States' play-thing for years (see 2014 coup & Victoria Nuland).
We are arming neo-Nazis under the guise of "doing the right thing," after 4 years of Trump supporters being called White Supremacist Nazis (see any Trump rally)
Because Donbas wanted no part of Victoria Nuland's 2014 coup, the subsequent shelling with US weaponry has murdered 14,000 Ukrainians. (looking at you Zelensky)
Facts suck, sometimes, but that doesn't mean they're wrong and thinking that Ukraine is a corrupt joke of a country, doesn't mean one thinks Valdimir Putin is the Second Coming.
What an utterly stupid comparison. There are several examples of liberal leaders calling for defunding the police and actually doing it, as well as calling them all racists. There are ZERO examples of conservative leaders advocating for Putin or the invasion of Ukraine. Saying we are sick of never ending wars around the world while our own country clearly falls apart is the very definition of patriotism.
I guess you can take the boy out of the NYT but you can’t take the NYT out of the boy.
Maybe, but 99% of the time the "neither Right nor Left" flavor of article has a moderate Leftist position as the Left and a looneybin straw man as the Right.
Seriously. Which prominent representative on the right is saying "Putin stands for 'Merica's values?" Alex should be better than this. He just can't help himself.
I'd like some more of that "Trump-era foreign policy" thank you very much. Now we have Russia making war, China rattling the Taiwan saber, N. Korea firing missiles and nothing good in the middle East.
The Government and media are working overtime to generate public enthusiasm for war in Ukraine. We are all seen as pawns by the American and globalist elite. And Ukrainians find themselves as pawns on the most dangerous part of the global chessboard. That's why Ukrainian Lives Matter but Afghan and Uyghur Lives Don't:
Exactly. All these people cheering on Ukranian "normies" to suddenly take up arms and face trained Russian soldiers. It's demented. They don't care about everyday Ukranians just trying to live a life. They certainly don't care about the victims of the financial neutron bomb dropped on everyday Russians punished for having the misfortune of living under a thug (and we in the West shouldn't delude ourselves - the Canadian PM dispensed his own version of a financial neutron bomb on those he found troublesome). And finally, they certainly don't care about all the young (mostly men) who will have to put boots on the ground at the behest of a demented, craven political cabal.
No, the Russian dictator does not stand for America's values. But, neither does America these days. At least not the clowns running this popsicle stand.
It's not so much what Vladimir Putin stands for that has some people rooting for him, so much as what he stands against. I.e. the Globalist American Empire, World Economic Forum, LGBT+, Chinese Social Credit System, "you will own nothing and like it" future that the Davos boys and girls have in store for us.
I don't want Putin's Russia for my future. But I equally don't want Klaus Schwab's vision for my future. So, if Vlad can throw a monkey wrench in Klaus's plans, more power to him. Just so long as it leaves us unaligned folks free to live life as we see fit to the best of our abilities.
What? The left wanted to defund the police. You think the right thinks Putin stands for America's values? Hope I'm not following that. And yes, as this guy below says, being anti-war does NOT make you a Russian asset, in case you are implying so.
That's crazy. :) If we hadn't already had the hubris (of man) to create nuclear weapons, gain of function research, transhumanism, late term abortion, GMO crops, pesticides (and THESE are the people we trust on our health and "climate change"), we could go in there and kick Putin's ass. Of course, if we had kept Nord Stream shut down and OUR pipeline going, this likely wouldn't have happened at all. But these people lke Alex want American planes to directly shoot down Russian planes? Whole thing is a nightmare, created by Democrats and globalist idiots.
If Trump were in office, Putin would never have tried this. Trump would have kept NATO from further encroachments. NATO’s encroachments effectively goaded and provoked Putin to defend his country.
You want war:if it was on your doorstep? No. Anyone promoting war is benefitting from it. Send their families to war. Recruit the rich. See how much war happens
Seriously? Exactly what is it about a US president promoting an "America first" foreign policy, demanding that other nations contribute to NATO what they had originally promised, and pointing out that Ukraine is rife with corruption and the ruling party being prone to jailing opposing political voices that would be considered "fantasy"?
Wouldn't that be like calling out the "hysteria" of the "unvaxed" wallowing in a "fantasy" of adverse vaccine reactions?
This is Obama's work ...he is the evil one.... How do you think he can afford a mansion on Martha's Vineyard and another in Hawaii...he has been corrupted for a long time...He hid behind the color of his skin...Shame on him
Anyone that knows anything - meaning those that don’t watch the main stream news - knows this has nothing to do with the lies being spread. This Ukraine debacle has all kinds of dirty spread across it and through it at the expense of a lot of innocent people. Kind of reminds me of this pandemic I heard happened recently but I never saw it so I don’t know if it was real or not.
Wow man, really didn't expect you to become such a joiner on the Dept. of Pandemia's New Pandemic, The Putin Pandemic, but here we are. Your "The Russian dictator stands for ‘Merica’s values!" jab falls so flat, has anyone really said anything like that? The rhetoric from your side of the issue is far more similar to your joke than the straw man you're lampooning. They're sharing Zelensky versions of the 2008 Obama Hope poster, the idea that Ukraine is a sacred, innocent vessel of democracy etc. I'm not seeing any of the skeptics on give Putin that treatment. This is the conflict western leaders want, to help hasten our green future. Both Russian and Ukrainian governments suck and are riddled with corruption, and so is ours. As long as we continue to empower the most evil and murderous regime in the world (China), whose scope of evils dwarfs the ever-withering capacities of Russia, as billions are held hostage by a completely illegitimate criminal organization...I will continue to regard this so-called righteous war as a farce. But your subject "Reality has a centrist bias" has finally clued me in on where you're going wrong. If you stick to that epistemology...that the aggregate impulses of the group will ultimately lead you in the right direction...then for all of the things you have been dead right about, you will be ill-prepared for what is coming, when the lights are put out for all of the west in the name of "sustainability".
We are not following a centrist policy. We are following a stupid policy that will lead to more death and more money and power for these in charge. The best would be to push for peace. A neutral Ukraine and talks on territories. Stop the death.
Sending more arms so that young untrained Ukrainians can kill and be killed is not moral.
As George Carlin once said, “‘Bipartisan’ usually means that a larger-than-usual deception is being carried out.”
What's the deception? The economy is crumbling both parties want to "spend" more debt backed US dollars and the Fed has no clue how to navigate high inflation ,soaring debt and global pressures to transform the world's reserve currency.
It's CYA time for the swamp! Let's see where this goes after we learn about what the Russian sanctions expose. There's gonna be hell to pay for the globalist elites when their corrupt affairs are exposed. The chickens are about to come home to roost...
1) Please explain how Putin's actions relative to Ukraine's desire to be part of the NATO "Military" Alliance and willingness to house ballistic weapons on its soil aimed at Russia are any different from what the US claimed about Cuba, Grenada, or Nicaragua before launching military operations against those countries.
2) Has the US been lying every time it has preached to the world that people have a natural right to political self-determination, and if not, why aren't the Russians living in Eastern Ukraine entitled to this same natural right ?
Seems to me that some Americans, actually a lot of them, can't stand the idea that Putin rightfully is using American ideals to justify his actions in Ukraine. But wasn't that the purpose of fighting the Cold War, to convince the Soviet/Russian leaders of the superiority of democracy over communism ? If anything, those Americans castigating Putin today should be congratulating him for seeing the light of goodness, while focusing their angst against their own government that has acted more like totalitarian dictators than the former totalitarian dictators !
Disappointing commentary from someone intelligent enough to know better. The javelin missiles being used to destroy russian tanks are the result of trump-era policy. The blankets being used to cover their dead are the leftovers of the Obama-Biden foreign policy. Putin funding his army with western european gas profits are the result of Biden foreign policy. Questioning whether it is in our national interest to engage Russia in a war over a corrupt country is not cheering Putin or attributing "Merica values" to him.
Alex, you keep getting less and less “hearts” in your posts. What a shame. For you Christianity is a Fantasy. You should remain in the Covid arena (without baseless criticizing ivermectin).
...while the Ministry of Truth (er, I mean New York Times) continues its shift to the radical/extremist left. FFS, how do people keep buying their blatant bullsh!t?
They want it permanent because nearly all of they are worthless humans that have never owned a business or contributed. Since they are parasites and ignorant they enjoy the control. The closer to death they are like Pelosi, Cocaine Mitch etc they cling to power and control. And because they are elite they are so much smarter than us meet peons. All were good for is paying taxes so they can give themselves raises and benefits.
No... the "radicals" are correct on Ukraine i.e. Tucker Carlson, Rand Paul, etc... Being anti-war does not make you a strong ideological fanatic.
Had Trump followed through on withdrawing from NATO, this war would not have happened, and the NYT is somehow using this war to critique his foreign policy? What "reality" is this?!
The Neo-cons and Obama Admin are largely to blame for this War:
https://spaceworms.substack.com/p/the-us-is-culpable-in-todays-ukraine?s=w
It should scare people when the majority of senators agree on one issue so strongly...
The sooner Lindsey Graham is gone the better ,He like McCain, Never saw a WAR they didn't like!
</sarc>
Yup, his allegiances lie with wherever the money comes from.
I agree with all assessments. Graham is rushing through all the confirmations of FJB Judiciary as Minority Chairman.
Yes we needed his vote against the democrats. I sent him a check. The first vote he sided with them. I emailed his office
told them he's a hustler, fraudster and a swindler. I wanted my money back.
I got a email back saying they couldn't respond unless I was from his district.
But that didn’t stop them from cashing your check.....🤔
An expensive lesson to learn, I'd say.
I did the SAME thing! Except, I called his office. Here's a shocker, I never got a call back.
Couldn't agree more!
McCains's last decision before death was satanic! Cannot believe how ppl revere such a cowardly self-serving act. Trump was right...he was a coward.
Could not agree more! While taking Americas finest health care, he voted against it for us little people. He’s a POS.
True BetsyR
mccain must be looking & smiling
John McLame never saw a grass hut he didn't want to bomb. He might very well be the absolute worst senator in American History. OOPS, forgot Hidabeast
piece of shit....self serving his whole career
Well don't tell, "MY Dad, MeAgain McCain" that! The sun rises and sets on Daddy. Vomit.
Both owned by Soros. Organized opposition. Part of his shadow government. McCain threw the election as per Soros' order.
Amen! I live in SC and can't wait to vote him out.
Seriously...get rid of that corrupted wimpy RINO!
Every chance I get I remind people that he was crying for money on Hannity's show and then once elected, he turned on conservatives. His comments about Jan 6th are insane. He wanted the Capitol Police to shoot the protesters.
Pure swamp scum
I voted for Obama because of McCains little “bomb Iran, bomb bomb Iran” song...... not that it mattered because Obama liked bombs and communism in office and was terrible, but he didn’t actively try to start WW III................
The coup in 2014 in Ukraine was under his watch and what is happening today is the result.
Yup MH
Obama is largely responsible for today’s conflict. In 2004, while still Senator, he secured funding for the biolabs in Ukraine. It was Obama’s government that installed Zelensky.
They are ALL globalists and traitors of our country.
Send Auntie Lindsey to the front with a AK-74. Show everybody how tough he really is...
Lindsey Graham will side with whichever issues or persons have the wind to their backs at the time.
Industrial Military Complex has deep pockets in the Senate.
And particularly so with this bunch in the Senate right now
Note George Carlin's definition of "bipartisan". It means that "a larger than usual deception is taking place".
Damn I miss Carlin :)
Miss that guy so much. One of the few who courageously spoke truth to power (which is why he had to die of "cancer").
It’s very telling isn’t it? Never met a war they didn’t like … absolutely disgusting.
Scare?...we knew who they are and who they are beholden too. The swamp is gonna swamp. We the people who pay these servants fleeced again. Kind of feels like Dr. Strange locked in a time redundancy with Dormammu.
Except making DST permanent. But the house won't agree and or Biden will veto and then they won't over ride.
Me too. But humanity is run by the stupid. Humanism is Stupid
https://narrowpath.substack.com/p/humanism-is-stupid?r=171xjv&s=w&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&utm_source=direct
and especially so if it leads to nuclear war!
I can't hit the like button enough.
But do they really, though? Or is this more BS pro-war propaganda from the "paper of record?"
Exactly. Acknowledging the reality that some things serve America's interests and some things don't doesn't make you a Putin supporter.
Fraid not.
"They are clearly doing all they can to avoid civilian casualties." You have to love mother Russia to state something like that.
To be fair, it's only been a month. Whereas Iraq was years. But yes, I get your point. And most likely this war won't drag on for years.
You are little bit behind the curve. Over 75 years behind. You should have mentioned Israel's Gaza campaign with precision guided bombs. That is what is called avoiding civilian casualties, not what your favorite dicktator is doing.
What would you have suggested with Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan after 9/11, if you think that war was dumb. What would you have done differently?
I wouldn't have done the 9-11 false flag in the first place. Burning jet fuel does not appreciably weaken structural steel, and there are a whole lot of other unexplained anomalies. There would have been nothing for the dancing Israelis to record.
OK crazy guy
End all foreign immigration. Secure the borders. Ban Islam. Ban any and all commerce with Islamic countries. Deport all visa holders, illegals, and green card holders. Revoke birthright citizenship. Severely restrict foreign travel and track all foreign nationals.
Ban Islam. Where would one do that exactly?
Throughout the USA. No mosques, no Korans. Arrest and intern anyone who refuses to denounce Mohammed.
So you’re a first amendment absolutist then. Or were you thinking constitutional amendment?
Pretty sure Jamie was asking about Al Qaeda in Afghanistan, not about Muslims in the US.
First, you'd have to believe Al Qaeda was responsible for 9/11, rather than it being an inside job.
You’ve earned your 100 grams of vodka for today, comrade!
I love how this is the go-to rebuttal. You people have given up on creating rational arguments.
“OK RUSSIAN BOT!”
As you consume, watch this video: https://www.reddit.com/r/Putinswarcrimes/comments/tf04la/russian_occupiers_shot_dead_a_civilian_near_kyiv/
I hope it does! Saudis now taking Chinese currency and that's huge. The petrol dollar...
The globalists want the dollar to collapse for the re-set.
all a part of the great 2030 agenda
Oh yes they do, they certainly do !
Russia is not a dictatorship. It is dicktatorship.
Since I can basically survive from my garden and livestock, I hope our dollar tanks. It's probably the only saving Grace America has.
Can't say I disagree. Perhaps the only way for the coddled and entitled American to wake the F up!
I wish for that, too. But BigBanking will never let that happen.
Yes. Most Americans are in denial about what has just happened. It's a lot more sudden than I expected. Also, Europe needs Russian gas.
that IS the intention
From what I can tell, you can’t tell left from right.
Motivation was PUSSR.
Go into Donbass ? You mean their own country ... The city is KYIV and you are a moron.
no russia is Muscovites ... again change subject much
We are certainly partly to blame for this "war", but there is much more to it. Look to global factions and all the related details. I do think Trump, MIGHT, have been able to stave this off, but this is much deeper that simply "ruffled feathers" (and yes, "ruffled feathers" is a considerable minimization).
Yes true. I should say "partially to blame". Putin is no saint, but US interventionism is a horrible cancer.
everyone is in an uproar about what Putin does, but our damn govt. just ROBS us with money printing and taxes, KILLS us by withholding drugs or only allowing the accepted treatment which kills us and "creates" conflicts in other countries until the leader they want removed is taken out (too bad for all the casualties among the citizens). Cheats, Lies, Censors and on and on I could go. We are no better than Putin just because we do it all under the cloak of something else while he does it all in the open for the world to see.
Bingo!
Biden's took money from Moscow too. That is why no Migs for Ukraine.
President Trump questioned the role of NATO when members don't pay their dues and members look to Russia for energy. He was severely critical of Frau Merkel in Germany. He did not promise to withdraw from NATO.
Stop making things up.
Perhaps it was not a promise, but it was an idea he floated and an attitude he presented, which is what I was remembering:
https://www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-nato-withdrawal_n_5c3d8cb4e4b01c93e00d1e2d
He rightly criticized it as “obsolete”, which the HuffPost makes out to be a bad thing.
And Ukraine and NATO. at bottom, NWO war
History shows that comedians and actors make the best presidents. Remember Ronald Reagan?
Or, perhaps you prefer Joe Biden and Obama?
You have to up-vote your own comments? And, no, I prefer neither of your favorites. Reading my offering above should have made it clear to even the most casual observer!
Unfortunately I can not downvote your stupid comments. So...
The "coup" would be impossible without support of the majority of Ukrainians. Better call it impeachment.
But we can't because we (ehem, Biden et al) have too many economic interests in Ukraine.
This is now Orwell's "1984" reality.
war is centrist. that's the reality. hence, the bipartisan support. "put peace before profit"? is that what zelensky said, this morning? lol! tell that to the u.s arms complex. they want a share of the plunder before the dollar collapses. (watching big pharma made them jealous.)
Just Wars are fought by just people.
Truth ain't on a political spectrum.
There are very few Just Wars, but when they come, they must be fought.
I am praying for war myself. A Just and brutal one. And one side losing it all.
And btw, since innocents have been hurt by war criminals (there already is a one sided illegal war), you can toss out the Geneva convetion
Most wars are not just. But you think none are? Where Poles evil to not defend yourself when Nazis invaded.
NWO, NATO, UN, USA, Ukraine don't consult me.. I'd have said, years ago, downsize.
You don't sound very intelligent.
Your mind is a comic book of childish good and evil.
Like US Army does?
Paraguay could take down CRT trained, woke, transgendered, purged of all purebloods who refused DEATHVAX commie army masquerading as American soldiers
Do you believe everything you read in Western corporate media?
Horse Puckey. Biden and the anti-oil folks in America are to blame for this. If we were energy independent right this minute. Oil would be $55.00 a barrel, and gas would be back at $259.99..... The neo cons, whoever the hell that is, nor Obama is to blame for this. Biden can't make a cogent decision. He is a retarded person now. He was a crooked democrat for his whole life, now he is just a retarded human being. Time to change your poopy pants Joe. I am sorry, that was uncalled for. My apologies for his cleanup nurse Dr. Jill.
Obey The Pug!
Let's be consistent. Anti-war is not explaining away Putin's aggression.
US contrived crisis and Putin implemented it flawlessly. Something wrong with your logic.
Counsel welcome.
Thanks for the good comment. I will take your counsel and spend some time in investigation mode!
Critiquing harmful US foreign policy is not “explaining away Putin’s aggression”
Does Putin deserve any criticism too?
You should start by looking at your own govt's atrocities.
Cuban missile crisis
Is this referring to the 2020 election fraud?
Idk whether there was enough fraud to overturn the election (I am aware of some undeniable instances though), but I can tell you, even if he succeeded in doing this the riots would have turned to genuine civil war and the Marshall Law which would be needed to contain them is a dangerous path in and of itself.
Martial, i.e., military law, not Marshall
Consider his appointments. Trump is for empire and the 1%; he just wants it controlled from DC and Wall Street, not Brussels and the City.
THANK YOU!
Putin is a choirboy compared to Joe Biden, and the operation in Ukraine is more justified than any American war in fifty years.
Do you think Biden even remembers who invaded who unless his caregivers constantly remind him!
Perfect
Our invasions were illegal because there was no declaration of war as required by the Constitution, the supreme law of the land.
is that the same as legally stealing, murdering, destroying??
I guess the NYT means that "Trump-era foreign policy" that kept us out of new wars for four years--and kept Putin from invading Ukraine.
Yeah those prescient policies where he told the Germans not to get oil from Russia with the Nordstream 2 pipeline, to pay more money into NATO and to rebuild their army and defenses- oh whooops, that all turned out to be true.
Don't forget the 210 Javelin missiles from Trump that are now critical to Ukraine's defense
The military industrial complex is bipartisan
Which really means, there are no real "parties." That's just fodder for the dumb working folks.
Thank God for US military industrial complex! At least they don't steal as much as Russian military industrial complex.
Come on guys! They lied about the vaccines, but they are telling the truth now.
Another tiresome false equivalency.
Yeah, he comes out with some real garbage at times.
You missed that Russia is the last best hope for freedom anywhere, but it can be hard to see that from within the empire of lies.
You want to try Russia's freedom? Visit gulag, sport.
Try the Capitol jail, first.
Gulag and Capitol jail. I see where you coming from.
Please go back to Covid. So much is happening right now and we need your insight on it. The vaccine side effects appear to be hitting the fan, but we need you to breakdown the numbers.
All my vaxxed and boosted coworkers are sick and coughing all over everyone at work.
Right. If I wanted American war propaganda I wouldn’t need to come to substack to find it.
yep.

Well, I can say Putin’s a great guy, waging a totally justified war, but I’m not on tv.
YES! Great comment.
Reality has a reality bias. The gutless choice is the anti-liberty side and the center just takes you to a loss of liberty slower.
Allowed by us!
It seems like Trump-era foreign policy kept us out of conflicts because Trump-era foreign policy actually did keep us out of conflicts
You'd have to be an idiot to think defunding police is going to help the situation. Or sending five foot tall 100 pound women social workers to deal with three hundred pound men having nervous breakdowns
Or a diabolical commie wanting to destroy America
Send in the blue haired land whales. At least they may have a fighting chance.
While the left generally supported defund the police and BLM for the past two years, not a single conservative voice I know of suggested that Putin stands for America’s values.
I'm a libertarian and don't like putin. But I like the democrats even less.
Why do I keep reading these moronic posts?
Agreed
I don't know why we can't just be grownups and accept criticisms of Ukraine (like they're no angels) while attempting to help them. (At the very least we have to make good on our promise to stick by them if they gave up their nukes.) The way to fascism is paved with absolutism and purity tests.
Our government is not about helping Ukrainians or anybody else (Edit: except billionaires). Zelensky is just now figuring that one out.
I love that title. Reality has a centrist bias. Only it’s wrong.
Reality is Godly Righteous. All Will eventually bow to this reality.
Centrists got us slavery and perpetuated abortion.
We paid in blood for first, and the death count for 2nd will be unimaginable.
Look for truth. And pray for a true Pope

You cited the NYT. So it proves the opposite.
The Government and media are working overtime to generate public enthusiasm for war in Ukraine. We are all seen as pawns by the American and globalist elite. And Ukrainians find themselves as pawns on the most dangerous part of the global chessboard. That's why Ukrainian Lives Matter but Afghan and Uyghur Lives Don't:
https://jeffcuttler.substack.com/p/ukrainian-lives-matter?s=w
Well said.
It is demented.
I ain't a pawn
I’m sure your not, John. But I’m also sure that our government sees us as all as pawns.
Agreed, Jeff.... and thank you
Not a lot of pawns on Substack. I was just looking at your newsletter. Thank you for resisting, seriously.
You're too kind.
I pray Rosary across from Vatican II false churches. I can't step on desecrated ground.(well, I'd also be arrested). I pray for true Pope
That is precisely what he thinks.
In his eyes, one cannot be against paying for a proxy war in corrupt Ukraine and also think Putin is a bad hombre.
NATO’s encroachments effectively goaded and provoked Putin to defend his country.
don't care about your opinion on ukraine
Huh? If the centrist Covid "reality" had any merit, none of us would even be here...
And the center is infallible? Why are you citing NY Times?
I will dwell on that... I don't have enough info
This is not our war.....I'm NOT sending my boys to fight for Ukraine!!!! SECURE our freaking border!!!
Give an example of anyone who said Putin stands do 'merica's values. Your claim is dripping with disdain for a fictitious underclass.
It's a fake comparison. Allegedly mainstream politicians were in on refund the police.
Focus on the real world, Berenson!
Trump policies are still great ... and Ukraine still has the most white supremacy and neo-fascist government around
Funny how what you call the "center" I call the puppets of the military industrial complex.
Berenson checking which way the wind is blowing again amidst his readership.
Pay-back is such a bitch...
“We can ignore reality, but we cannot ignore the consequences of ignoring reality.” - Ayn Rand
Alex, you keep getting less and less “hearts” in your posts. What a shame. For you Christianity is a Fantasy. You should remain in the Covid arena (without baseless criticizing ivermectin).
3rd Secret of Fatima
While they keep us complaining no one is watching the hen house.
...while the Ministry of Truth (er, I mean New York Times) continues its shift to the radical/extremist left.
WELL said. Clear eyed and honest. Thank you very much.
Thank you.
