I'm in the same boat as your son, doing well in school and had my religious exemption declined a few weeks ago. I will be calling a lawyer. Any advice for me? Thanks!

Document everything, every word you say, every word said to you. Don't give up. As I said it took months to get a lawyer to return our calls. We read a news story about a lawyer who was challenging a local vax mandate. We contacted that lawyer and he gave us the name of the lawyer who finally helped us. And you are probably already doing this, but pray, a lot.

IтАЩm one credit from graduating. I see your point though. I could work for a year and take the class later

That's a great idea. If you could volunteer in your chosen profession, you'd gain experience. That would also give you a real-world idea if that's what you want to do.

Conversely, can you volunteer at something you love, but won't necessarily lead to a profession?

To be honest, a year off could be better education than in a classroom.
