Most DOs are conventionally trained these days, just like MDs. If you can afford it, see a functional medicine doctor or an ND. (A lot of what they do may not be covered by insurance.)
The DO I saw was every bit as bad as my current MD. Prescribed the newest, most expensive med, with the worst side effects. (That she did not tell me about.) Along with a med for the most common side effect, nausea. I didn't take the meds (not needed to stay alive). At the follow- up I told her off and was discharged as her patient. <--- Like I would have gone back to her. ЁЯЩД
My next step will be a DO, not an MD. We're moving to Florida anyway so I'll HAVE to find someone new.

I like the idea of DOs because they are a cross between Western and Eastern medicine.
Maybe some are.
