Under 20 cents a DAY, $6 a MONTH - or $60 a year! (Already changed in the article. I had written 20 cents a day, and I was going to add - $6 a month - but then I decided to take it out. Only I didn't. Believe me, these copy-editing mistakes are even more frustrating to me than you. I am just in such a hurry right now to these pieces out.)

I have been admiring your work "from afar" (i.e., unpaid follower) since 2020. I think it's time I make a financial commitment to you and your truthful, stellar, insightful, and fun reporting on matters of great importance. All the best to you and yours, Alex, and thank you for your dedication to journalism that the mainstream media has completely abandoned.

Go for it! I was an admirer "from afar" too and finally (shouldn't have waited as long as I did) became a subscriber. Alex is really the only substack author I never want to miss. His middle name should be integrity - you'll never find him stretching the truth to make a story sound more sensational. There's never "the sky is falling" - just honest reporting.

i'll pay more if you get a friggin' editor/researcher/admin. trust me you need it...not because of the mistakes...i don't care about that. I care that you are levered.

to me the most important aspect of success is being able to "THINK" unopposed. it's the most important/critical type of work....most think that's "wasted time". they're wrong.

trust me if you haven't already figured it out. smart people learn from their own "mistakes"...the smartest learn from others...I learned the hard way...:)

edit: you'll get more "breaking" stories that way.

We live in a world where 'truth' has become very illuisive. Hard to know what to believe at times but I have learned over time to trust you. Doesn't mean that I agree with all of your views but I appreciate your work and research.

Alex, have you considered an even higher tier? Not sure what the benefits would be, and I'm not terribly concerned, but I think you might be able to squeeze a bit more out of a few of us. 😆

People watched as a political party went after a competitive candidate with every law infraction they could create, including a "Russian Collusion" accusation for 22 months that turned out to be a HOAX. That same party hid the declining physical and mental condition of their candidate for 3.5 years, and now, as that incumbent and their candidate fall into dementia, they want us to believe that their party and media can field another viable candidate!?!?! UNBELIVABLE!! Who is voting for that party? Please help me here.

There are people who prefer the sense of safety and comfort in supporting a cause without question. Many people feel threatened by having choices. They want to be told what to think and what to do. The biggest group of these is progressives.

I had to reshape the question to perplexity.ai so that it wouldn't use political parties... and it responded...

Q: If Bill lies to me for 22 months about a competing product, then tries to sue that other product into oblivion, then I find out that Bill's product doesn't work! Should I ever trust Bill about anything?

A:

Based on the scenario you've described, it would be very difficult to trust Bill (the democrat party) or his products going forward. Here are a few key reasons why:

Prolonged deception: Lying for 22 months about a competing product shows a pattern of deliberate, long-term dishonesty. This is not a minor mistake or misunderstanding, but a sustained campaign of misinformation.

Anticompetitive behavior: Attempting to sue a competitor "into oblivion" suggests unethical business practices and a willingness to abuse the legal system rather than compete fairly on product merits.

Product failure: Discovering that Bill's own product "doesn't work" after all the deception and legal maneuvering indicates a fundamental lack of integrity in both marketing and product development.

Breach of consumer trust: These actions demonstrate a disregard for consumer interests and rights to accurate information for making informed choices.

In business and personal relationships alike, trust is built on honesty, integrity, and delivering on promises. Bill's actions, as described, violate all of these principles. The combination of deliberate deception, aggressive tactics against competitors, and failure to deliver a functional product creates a pattern of behavior that severely undermines credibility. While it's generally advisable to evaluate each situation independently, such a significant breach of trust would reasonably cause you to be highly skeptical of any future claims or products from Bill. Rebuilding trust after such actions would require substantial evidence of changed behavior, transparency, and consistently ethical practices over time. In conclusion, based on the information provided, it would be prudent to approach any future statements or offerings from Bill with extreme caution and skepticism. Trust, once broken so severely, is very difficult to regain.

Just for laughs, we know no one would buy Bill's products ever again...

Just joined, and I'm a little ashamed it took me this long! Looking forward to more gems from Alex, and being able to join in the conversation with so many like-minded souls. Prior to 2020, I never thought of myself as some wild contrarian, but also never imagined that the actual unvarnished TRUTH would be considered a contrarian and controversial position. Yet, the utterly surreal events of the last 4 years have redefined everything. Glad to be on the good-guys side.
