I am in Melbourne, Australia where vaccine certificates must be shown to get into non-essential retail outlets for anyone 12 years and up. This means two of my children (13 and 15) who have recovered from COVID but are unvaccinated (and will remain so) cannot go to shops, restaurants or the movies with their friends. This is supposed to be based on health advice - which is a joke. It is just government authoritarianism.

The indoctrination in the blue states is so very real! I was visiting family for the holiday last week and my we go around the table telling each other 2 things we are grateful for. My cute as a button 10 year old niece said she was so grateful to be able to take this vaccine (experimental medicine) soon to keep her healthy and us healthy. I had a heart flutter of true sadness for this innocent child, but her mother and school system have so indoctrinated her. Just breaks my heart. I'm sure there are many such stories at the holidays for families now

I love my sister dearly despite her political differences and we had gotten to a point of agreeing NEVER to speak politics which has worked well for US, but that was truly hard to hear and witness I cannot lie. One of my sisters, I'm very close to, got all 4 daughters vaxxed including the 13 year old. Felt like I'd been punched in the stomach when she told me, as the girl sat there all proud of herself. What's happening is that it's being sold to kids as an altruistic thing and they think it's "cool" they're protecting their elders and others. My sister was never gullible before but this time I think she's been extremely negligent and not done the research.

I am in Melbourne, Australia where vaccine certificates must be shown to get into non-essential retail outlets for anyone 12 years and up. This means two of my children (13 and 15) who have recovered from COVID but are unvaccinated (and will remain so) cannot go to shops, restaurants or the movies with their friends. This is supposed to be based on health advice - which is a joke. It is just government authoritarianism.
Stay strong and keep protecting your children! Heaven knows the governments aren't going to.
I will try although I fear no-jab no-school is coming. The 5-11-year-old vaccine is not here yet but I'm sure that will be part of the mandate too - it's just evil. I've had to allow my 17-year-old to be jabbed as her life had become miserable. I will be angry about it for the rest of my life.
I am so sorry. There is nothing worse than feeling powerless. You're right, it is evil. I don't know what the homeschooling laws are like in Australia, but you've probably seen a lot of commenters here talking about doing it here in the US. Yes, there is sacrifice involved, but it's nothing compared to sacrificing your children - and your integrity and parental rights. No one knows the long-term effects of these jabs and anything you can do (including move) to avoid them is preferable.

Whatever you can do to come together and form a coalition of parents/families in the same situation will be to your advantage. We've all been prepped for this authoritarianism/totalitarianism. I have been shocked at the compliance in the US, but as Dennis Prager is fond of pointing out, it's more important to people to be taken care of (comfortable) than their freedom. The 24/7 fear propaganda of the media the past 2 years has been very effective, no? People who are afraid are very easy to control. Australia and Canada are wake-up calls to people in the US who are paying attention. I've never been more thankful for an armed citizenry than I have been in the last year. I have a friend who actually believes the vaccines provide better immunity. He said that he it heard on NPR, from "the top epidemiologist in the state", who said that natural immunity only applies to the strain you got when you were sick, while the vaccine protects against all strains.
That's not the only insane thing he said. Listening to him talk was like looking into the mouth of darkness. I'm not kidding when I say I was terrified. I knew some people had lost it, but seeing it IRL was a shock.

I had covid, I'd have to say if that wasn't "covid" it was something unlike anything I'd ever had. I used horse paste and wasn't down long but it was weird. I've had flu maybe 3 times in my life, many colds when the kids were young, but nothing like this. So I think it's real and deserves respect: rapid application of therapeutics like ivermectin.
Covid can really mess you up if it gets a chance to dig in. But the vaccines don't help. It seems whatever covid can do to hurt you, so can the vaccines.
I'll accept that it's real as soon as someone isolates the virus and has a specimen available for study. Nobody has ever done that. My daughter says that she had it, but how does anyone know without a test that can identify a pathogen? There's no test for it and no specimen has ever been made available, so that even the "vaccines" were produced without a specimen of the virus.

It all boils down to trust. Who were the first to roll up their sleeves? Who is lining up for boosters, and shrugging off all reports of vax injuries and deaths as misinformation? Who is bringing their healthy children for liability free experimental injections despite zero risk from covid?
Most doctors are just recommending whatever the public health officials tell them, again based on trust with no questions asked. And at the top, trust in the goodwill of politicians to change course if they recognize something is wrong, not realizing these people and institutions have been subverted for decades.
I don’t believe it’s a deliberate culling, but I expect these groups to suffer the most tragic consequences for what’s happening.

I don't think that will stop a lot of parents. This is partly about convenience, not having to quarantine at home with your kids and miss out on work, and keep them out of school. I saw this happen with the pointless chicken pox vaccine Varivax. All about convenience.

I had measles...cost me the hearing in my right ear. I was 7 years old and there was no measles vax at that time. No one--especially not me--noticed for two years that I'd lost my hearing. It wasn't discovered until my mother realized I couldn't hear her when I was holding the phone receiver to my ear.
I adapted. My family & friends adapted. No real problems.
But it would be nice if I could hear stereo.
Well, there's a measles vaccine now and kids still get measles every year. What pharma doesn't have and won't even try to research is a treatment for measles once someone is infected.
