The fact that we started counting everybody with a tiny bit of virus in them as a virus death is insane. If we did that for the flu, we'd have roughly 300,000 'flu deaths' a year -- and that's before we actually get to the people that the flu killed.

Expand full comment

It would be great to be able to compare apples to apples. Where did you see that 300,000/year flu death figure? That would be dynamite to use in our discussions with people, as it would put Covid in perspective.

Expand full comment

Sadly it's a very back-of-the envelope calculation using ILI hospital visits as a rough proxy for flu prevalence, extrapolating that onto all deaths (If X% of your population has a virus, you expect X% of deaths to have the virus in them, even if it had nothing to do with that killed them), then adjusting for the fact that many people who go to the hospital (and subsequently die) will catch the flu in the hospital and that any death up to 28 days after any test would be a flu death.

Thanks, that's an intriguing take on things. I'll keep an eye out for a formal study of this kind. It could have a decisive impact.

Of course. Reality ALWAYS wins. But the real question is, how much damage does the lie do before that happens. Which is why we all have to work so hard to reinstate the notion that 2+2=4.

"In other words, fewer than 1 percent of all the Covid deaths Peterson reviewed had occurred in people who were not already very unwell." So this supports Sucharit Bahkti's claim from early in 2020: If you are healthy, it is "damn hard" to die from this disease. The whole vaccine gambit was a scam of unbelievable proportions. So big, in fact, that most people will never believe they were duped

I believe Dr. Peterson is going to make a great deal of money as an expert witness and offering private autopsies. If I were him, I would publish a book on this results, a website for his new company, offer to fly around the country to perform analysis on the deaths as well as publish a list of things to check in the autopsy. And watch the lawsuits against every employer begin.

I could picture it happening. And I hope it does, despite the fact that it will be our "thought leaders," not employers, who should bear the blame. Maybe the government will some day set up a "superfund" to atone for its sins. No, wait, I'm losing my mind....

That's what I've been saying the WHOLE time. Check your vit D level, make sure it's at least 50, take your Zinc, eat fresh food, exercise etc. This is a much better way to prevent Covid, in fact all disease. It's largely a pandemic of the unhealthy.

I believe Dr. Peterson made a mistake in resigning his position. He has probably precluded himself from obtaining unemployment benefits assuming he might have an interest in that. He will find out if that is the case if he applies. I represented a woman a few years ago who was given the choice by her employer of either resigning or being fired. She said she preferred to resign so that a termination would not be on her employment record. For months she did receive unemployment benefits but she received a letter from the relevant state agency claiming that because she had resigned, she was not entitled to any benefits so all the money she had received was recaptured. On her behalf, I challenged the determination, claiming that her resignation had not been voluntary under the circumstances and on appeal, she won and her benefits were reinstated. Dr. Peterson should have told his employer that he was choosing door #3: Fire me if you like because I will neither retire nor resign.

Expand full comment

My thoughts exactly as I read this. My guess is that he was likely blind-sided during their little four-minute meeting. Just despicable, but unsurprising, the way Dr. Peterson was treated.

Expand full comment

Just to show you how vindictive some people can be, the former employer of the woman I represented, who has CP and needs a walker to get around, challenged the determination that the woman was entitled to unemployment insurance by acquiescing in a made up contention by a state appeals officer that even though the woman had not voluntarily left her employment, she should still have been denied the benefits because she should have been terminated for cause. I appealed that decision too to the highest state employment commission office and won the case resulting in a complete victory on the matter which surprised my client to no end who figured the matter was hopeless. Oh yeah, one more thing. I represented the woman free of charge as I am not really an employment lawyer but rather a corporate tax lawyer so I took the case for the sheer pleasure of trying to right an incredible wrong. And I did it.

Expand full comment

Ahh, I've often thought I should have been a lawyer if only to pursue justice for things I find incredibly wrong. In my daydreams, I'm having a field day going after the employers who fired people for not getting the jab, for example.

The way I got the case in the first place was that the woman is a friend of my wife's and she told my wife what had happened to her. She also told my wife that she had gotten a legal aid lawyer to help her but he told her he couldn't. So then my wife said "Well my husband is a lawyer." And so the quest for justice began...

I have a friend that is a ME for large metro area in a mid-south state. The ME office is slammed with requests for autopsies for adults that “died suddenly” with no previous adverse health history. The ME says autopsies reveal the vast majority of sudden death victims have extensive heart damage and are triple Vaxxed. The information was relayed to the city government. They were all told in no uncertain terms that all would be sacked immediately if they went public with their findings. The lid will blow eventually.

How on earth, if this is true and widespread, can this continue to be covered up? How is it that everybody, from federal to state to city governments, not to mention media, so complicit in this sham? I keep wondering if I'm the one imagining all of this corruption and coverup.

I have felt the same. Have a large text chat group of friends who also feel the same. We are awestruck at the number of young “died suddenlys” who are double, triple, quadruple vaxxed. And yet CRICKETS about cause of death. I even had a colleague tell me her 13 year old’s sudden fainting, several times, on the soccer field - and subsequent referral to a cardiologist - was concerning but ok. She followed up by adding that schools are acquiring defibrillators bc “kids are suddenly having heart issues.” Must be the virus.

Tell her no, it is the clot shots and the fainting is an interruption of blood flow to brain. Period. Do not be afraid to tell people the truth.

I keep wondering how long it will take. Will it happen within living memory, or will all of us have to be dead before someone sifts through the remaining evidence and says ‘how did people miss this obvious trend?’ Perhaps it will depend, unfortunately, on how many people continue to die suddenly. For now it seems that the ones who should be interested in this are looking the other way.

If you dig into the CDC’s death certificate reporting guidelines, you'll find there's no requirement at all that covid be causally responsible to be listed on a death certificate.

https://euphoricrecall.substack.com/p/hysteria-is-far-more-deadly-than

Beginning in March 2020, the CDC issued guidance instructing physicians to add covid to death certificates if it was merely assumed to have contributed to the death:

“It is important to emphasize that Coronavirus Disease 2019 or COVID-19 should be reported on the death certificate for all decedents where the disease caused or is assumed to have caused or contributed to death.” — The National Vital Statistics System

The glossed-over distinction between covid killing someone and someone dying with covid — or even just assumed to have died with covid — should bother you, and all the more so because it follows guidance handed down by the CDC, our nation’s medical luminaries.

Need I point out that the skewed stats propping up the “1,000,000 deaths” claim have also concomitantly distorted the actual risk this virus poses?

And super early in places like NY, you didn't even need a positive test.

Remember back to NYC in March/April 2020. Tests were restricted to people WITH SEVERE COVID SYMPTOMS -- and still 3/4 of those people were coming back negative. Then they changed the rules so you didn't need a positive test, and everybody with symptoms got counted -- even though 75% of them did not have covid.

https://www.westernjournal.com/nyc-adds-thousands-people-never-tested-positive-coronavirus-death-count/

New York City is adding people who did not test positive for the coronavirus to its count of those who died from COVID-19.

On Tuesday, the city decided to add people who never tested positive but are presumed to have died from the virus, helping to raise the death toll by 3,700 in one day, according to The New York Times.

Yes. Actual risk was a subject studiously avoided throughout. By summer 2020, it was known that the disease primarily affected the aged and those with serious health problems. Yet the constant drumbeat of cases without context convinced many they were in danger. The danger was only that they’d be sick for a week and then recover.

Expand full comment

When I ran the numbers straight from the CDC on my risk, I found this:

Unvaxxed IFR: 0.3% (Grouped toward the unhealthy, but we'll ignore that)

Vaxxed IFR: 0.05%

Setting aside all the datacrime that goes into those numbers, I'm looking at an actual risk reduction of 0.25%.

Only in clown world am I 'at-risk' when I'm 99.7% safe, and only 'actually safe' when I'm 99.95% safe.

Brad, do you know of any studies that try to account for the varying definitions of Covid case/death rates across countries? I’ve looked to try to find, for instance, if Ivana Trump had her covid shots before she died. The coroner said she fell on the stairs, hit her head and died from the fall. Does anyone here know if she had been jabbed? I just find it odd that no one had asked.
