We live in the stupidest times, when Remnick can be fooled into thinking 14 year old gamers are actually talking about the vaccine. I think the wool has been pulled over Remnicks eyes. This all reeks of a very elaborate Jussie Smollett ploy wherein the parents are die hard progressives and in a move to acquire Greta Thunberg levels of recognition for their teen, they’ve manipulated the teen to reach out and tell this story…because it’s going to make everyone safer - you know, for our own good.
I find this whole article about the 14-year-old suspicious...especially if he's public school educated. Fourteen-year-old boys aren't much for "research". (Unlike the trans stuff out there I can't imagine that much of the mRNA stuff would be interesting enough for a gamer to plod through.)

These teens are portrayed as heroes because they are exactly the end result of 40 years of progressive education "reform" they had hoped to create. Detached from parents and gravitating to the state.
Yes, that's an interesting question: "why"? I believe the answer is: "this is all in service to an extremely powerful entity, that wants literally every man, woman, and child on Planet Earth to get the shot." To achieve this end, they had to be able to "capture" not only the regulators, but media, and the current Administration also. The unified message: "get the shot - even if immune from prior COVID - even if you're a 6-year-old and not at risk" comes from the White House, from Media, and from CDC/NIH. With 6136 deaths in VAERS - most ever in history.
And I have a sense that VAERS may not be catching all the events.
But my mind now moves beyond "why" - to "who". Who is behind this complete capture of media, government, and our regulators?
A good friend of mine told me that it was a "no brainer" to get her 14 year old vaccinated because the vaccines were so effective. When I asked her if she was concerned about any short or long term side effects, she just spit out the word "misinformation ". The lack of any curiosity and skepticism around these vaccines is astonishing to me. I admit that I didn't do much research when my children were vaccinated with all of the standards as babies, but those were NOT experimental vaccines! I ask everyone i know who gets the shot 2 questions: 1. Did you find out if you have antibodies? And 2. Did you do a little research about this new vaccine? 100% of the answers are No and No. These answers are worrisome enough for your own body- but your child? No Brainer indeed.
When I was 14, I did a lot of things against the wishes of my parents. It never occurred to me to seek national media attention for those acts or maybe no one was interested. I hope that they remove the teen-ager from his dangerous home lest he face repercussions for his defiance.
That David Remnick interview makes me sick. He found the kid on Reddit. Maybe he can interview my 16 year old daughter, because she lives in Arizona too. Her dad and I told her we would not give her permission to get the vaccine, but that she could do whatever she wanted when she was 18.
The first blow to that was when her private voice teacher (who is vaccinated) told my daughter she would not resume giving her in person voice lessons until she got vaccinated (lessons had been on Zoom since March 2020). My daughter goes to a small performing arts public charter school. The theater teacher said kids couldn't rehearse without masks until they were vaccinated. Then the school director said they were thinking of changing the school policy to allow vaccinated (only) to go without masks. Can you imagine what this is like for a teenager who wants to fit in and be accepted?
The final straw was her being offered a job at a local restaurant where the waiters and waitresses sing Broadway show tunes to customers. They told her they required the vax, and the very next day, she went to Walgreens with an adult (pretending to be me), filled out the consent form forging my signature, and got her first Pfizer dose. I'm sure she thought I'd never find out, but I have Walgreen's text alerts on my phone. Apparently the word had gone around her school that Walgreens didn't check the "parent's" ID, so you could easily get the vax there.
The next three weeks was a whirlwind of me and her dad staying to stop her from getting the second dose. But she did it anyway, the second time going to Safeway... because they "advertised" online that for 16-18 year olds, the "parent, guardian, or non-custodial adult" doesn't even have to be present.
The law in AZ that says minors need parental permission to get a vaccine is a total joke when it comes to covid. I erroneously thought that would stop my daughter from being able to get this vax, but, boy, was I wrong. I definitely would have approached this whole thing differently if I had known that ahead of time.
