My son’s girlfriend is a D1 swimmer. The sad thing? these girls are hostages to scholarships and thus afraid to speak out.

Sometimes scholarships aren't worth perpetuating the lie. It takes courage and sacrifice to make things right. There's no excuse for taking the easy way. That's why this problem is as big as it is. People are too risk averse and "in the absence of courage, truth is an orphan." (Rob McCoy, pastor extraordinaire, Godspeak Calvary Church).

Expand full comment

This. This is the thing. We ALL need to do the uncomfortable things (lose a scholarship, change jobs, move, lose friends, make less money, whatever YOU need to do). All very uncomfortable and sad. But for godsakes do NOT just go along to get along and leave these injustices in place. They will NOT go away and they will only get worse. Seek truth.

Agree 100%. We both thought we'd lose our jobs in the beginning but did not cave. We still have our jobs and of course that could change at any time. But we will not stand down. It's not easy. It's scary. We could lose everything. But it's my obligation to try to leave behind the same freedom we were afforded to our children and grandchildren.

I recently put our family in a position where if I lose my job because of the idiot vaccine mandates or any of the other woke BS, my wife, who works for the Federal Government Accountability Office (apparently, not an oxymoron) will be able to provide for everything that we need. I don't want it that way but if I have to get a return on my "investment," i.e. taxes that I have paid so she can make her salary, that's the way it will be.

I don't understand. Didn't the court of appeals 5th circuit just reinstates Biden's vaccine mandate for all federal employees?

Yes. My wife got the jabs when they first came out (she was able to say that she was a caregiver for her elderly parents so went to the front of the line). She got boosted and then got Covid along with the rest of the family. She had the worst symptoms of any of us and symptoms lingered for at least a month.

If they all stood up to this and stopped it cold, colleges will lose their swimmers and possibly benefactors. The swimmers might also pick up some sponsors.

I watched a "fight" in the 70's between 10 Mexican teens and a single Korean kid. The Mexicans had him clearly outnumbered, but were each individually afraid of being hit with karate. They kept egging on one another to be the first to take on this kid.

In the end, they all walked away, with the Korean kid not throwing a single punch or kick.

So true - my good friend’s granddaughter is an excellent collegiate swimmer (potential Olympian) and as much as they want to, they know they will lose their scholarships. It would take ALL of them to boycott at the same time and risk their futures.

The majority of women vote for the party destroying their sports. This problem ONLY can be fixed by women. They created the problem, only they can fix it.

As a woman, It’s increasingly fascinating and maddening to me to see how after all of the so called strides the Women’s Movement has “helped” women make we are now working outside in a 40+ job, still doing the bulk of the work for the upkeep and running of the home. We are usually the one who figures out child care and now we are heavily supported and honored if we decide to “ end a inconvenient pregnancy”. The list goes on and on about how this has disrupted the family and caused untold problems for our children and I think made many women miserable. So now here we are, anyone can be a woman, birthing person, her/she or whatever they want to call themselves. The biggest slap is that all the way to the Supreme Court an actual Woman will deny that she can define what a woman really is! ARE YOU KIDDING ME???????

This is all BULLSHIT! 🤯😡

Isn't it ironic that "now we are heavily supported and honored if we decide to “ end a inconvenient pregnancy”" but if a woman decides to take care of her child(ren) full time there is so little support and honor.

What a sweet story that so captures the innocence and wonder of children. It is so evil of some adults to use this innocence and wonder in pursuit of their own evil agenda and/or in pursuit of their personal gratification. And yes I agree with you that they are trying to "rip apart the fabric of our society." Just one example was BLM advocating for the disruption of the nuclear family structure. There are so many examples, this was just one of the more overt that comes to mind.

The questions you have to ask yourself are: do I want to stand up for what’s right or what’s convenient; do I really want to work for a company that forces me to accept “woke” ideology which would ultimately include all the bells and whistles of cancel culture and socialism; and is it worth selling my soul to get a job?

The divide in society is now revealing itself as a repeat of a very, very old argument between Plato and Aristotle. In general, Platonists embraced the primacy of consciousness, and Aristotelians embraced the primacy of existence, or reality. The subject is too large to address in this forum, but suffice it to say that every period of human history—the majority of periods, as it turns out—that was ruled by the Platonists and their philosophical cousins (including, most recently, Communists and Fascists) has been a period of tyranny, subjugation of the masses, ignorance, cultural regression, dispair, and ultimately death. The relatively few periods of human history that was ruled by Aristotilians or their philosophical cousins (including, most recently Free Market Capitalists and Constitutionalists) has led to individual liberty, prosperity, cultural ascendency, freedom, private property, leaps in human knowledge, and ultimately human flourishing.

I’ll leave it up to the readers to guess which school of thought embraces gender fluidity, modern monetary theory (espousing endless deficit spending), Rule-by-experts (hint: Plato advocated rule by “Philosopher Kings”), or advocates of computer models over empirical, objective reality (e.g. climate models), to name just a few examples.

Transgender is the alchemy of the 21st century. Trying to turn a male into female is no more possible than turning base metals into gold.

At least alchemists only experimented on metals, not children. Our society has so much to answer for, and history will judge us harshly (as it should). I hope Team Reality leaves enough records to prove that not all of us are evil.

The globalists and their useful idiots have been feminizing males for at least the last 2 decades. It seems to me that the entire media glosses over--or avoids-- the real proportions here. Last I heard, less than 1 % of the entire US population "identifies" as transgender. Less than 5 % identify as Gay. All I want is a sense of proportion injected into any conversation regarding these issues. It's truly misinformation to exclude it.

Sense of proportion, indeed. We have lost our collective minds to put up with the insanity about so many things.

Tucker Carlson had an enlightening segment a couple of weeks ago in which he posited that this began as another “Follow the Money.” In 2014, gay marriage was finally recognized and the organization most behind that endeavor was losing funding because it was “mission accomplished.” So, how to maintain fundraising - where to go next? This was their solution.
