To get a temporary restraining order, you still must overcome a basic balancing test (likelihood of success on merits, threatened harm, and balance of hardships). To get a temporary restraining order, you still must overcome a basic balancing test (likelihood of success on merits, threatened harm, and balance of hardships). Finally courts are beginning to recognize the irretrievable harm of forcing vax (cannot undo). This by itself should be enough for at least a TRO in every case and should substantially help on the preliminary injunction assessment.
The politicians trying to institute these kinds of mandates seem to be hunting for "cracks" in the legal dam. They know that all it takes is one judge to allow these mandates to continue for the dam to start breaking. Might have something to do with the format of the game, particularly at the pro level. NFL each play is less than ten seconds with roughly a 30 second recovery (unless they are in the hurry up). There are also multiple extended stoppages for timeouts tv etc.
In the NBA, a lot of the running is controlled with short spurts of all out effort lasting a few seconds. Again, multiple timeouts, substitutions etc..plenty of opportunities to get the heart rate down.
I don't watch much soccer, but I believe the matches are continuous with limited stoppage of play. Players go all out, particularly forwards, for 60+ minutes with limited stoppages or substitutions. Much less chance to have your heart rate come down, and more of a chance that any cardiac event would happen on the field than in American sports.

Watching an interesting show on PBS about Spain in the 1300's and the eventual forced conversion of Jews and Muslims to Christians after living together in harmony for so many years. The outcome was distrust that the converted were sincere and the inquisition was born.

When a private company is breaking its own ethics and data privacy policies in the collection, use and sharing of vax status, what kind of attorney would handle that case and what is it about this situation that prevents me from suing the company for discrimination when they are using vaccine status (AKA Medical Data), NOT being contagious, to keep me from entering a company office? Not to mention asking me to reveal my vax status on a public call when their own policy states that data is need to know and only shared with those that need to know.
