How is Biden's DHS Disinformation Governance Board going to play into all of this? With each passing day, it feels less and less like America here.

Need to be able to donate on a cash basis. Don't think it will happen here (yeah I know, just look at the past 2+ years). but would hate to see a repeat of the Canadian moves against those funding the convoy.

True. I refuse to use GoFundMe after that fiasco

I agree, Dawn! Definitely.

Expand full comment

I agree. No GoFundMe

@Dawn DP Totally agree!

Oh for crying out loud, Alex. Get a PO box and post the address. I'll send you an old-fashioned check.

It's useless trying to hide your donations. Subscriber lists are leaked, PayPal/GoFundMe etc payments tracked, checks are scanned, every piece of mail is scanned. My donations to Kyle Rittenhouse defense fund were leaked. No good deed goes unpunished. You are fighting the System, there is no hiding. Take a stand for what's morally right and damn the torpedos. Fight out in the open, and more will join the fray.

I don't intend to hide my donation. I'll donate and screw anyone who doesn't like it.

First, I agree with most of your comment. But it loses a bit of steam when I look at your stated name here on the stack.

Obviously it's stupid not to try to make the System's job harder if you can't afford to be canceled, just don't expect you can find some method where it's not possible to be outted.

The Canadian reality was a wake up moment for sure in America...no one trust the banking system now going forward

Alex, set up a way to donate crypto to give another option to address the concerns above.

To add a point to this; I love Substack but it’s an awful mechanism for raw fund donations because of the platform fee (and that’s before factoring Stripe’s cut). If you can withstand the volatility, Alex, crypto donations are direct, permissionless, and have the potential to appreciate as dollar value erodes over time

I donated to the Canadian trucker convoy through here, recently I was refunded for that.

Expand full comment

Didn't they go after that one, too?

Expand full comment

Yes, they did but GiveSendGo refunded our donations rather than give it to them.

Expand full comment

Thank heaven they refunded to you. Still does not make it right what has been happening to those who want to help as I know you agree with.

Expand full comment

Actually, to be fair GoFundMe refunded everyone as well. But they rolled over waayyyy too easily for my liking. At the end tof the day very little of the funds managed to stay under control of the Canadian government Turns out there's a jurisdiction problem, they can't just boss American companies around. ;)

Alex, I do wish you well. And I am mostly on your side. But here is an example of why you should not tear down your peers. You especially shouldn't tear down your brothers in arms on network TV.

Try to find some common ground. You are all fighting the same fight. You have some minor disagreements. That's no reason to personally attack people in front of the country. I agree with others in that you have a very narrow focus. On you. I likely had the same problem at your age. Not a single human on this planet agrees with a single other human on everything. It doesn't make them your enemy. You'd do better for yourself your family and the species to align on common ground with your allies.

Your motivations seem split between uncovering the truth, personal gain, and vindictiveness. It might take you several years.... But sort that out better.

Media are not some sort of CLUB. It's a competitive business. It's dog-eat-dog--and it should be. A major problem these days is a total lack of competitive spirit. The extent of competition now is MSM is sitting around, singing kum-by-ah and "my three masks are better than your two masks" and "I have SIX boosters."

If Alex sticks to the FACTS about other media, then there's no problem.

"Brothers-in-arms" MY FOOT!

"You especially shouldn't tear down your brothers in arms on network TV." What world do you live in??? His "brothers in arms" have been tearing Alex down for over 2 years. Tear them to shreds, please!!!!

ya'll got an itchy trigger finger.

think you missed it. ya really think i'd be here encouraging alex cuddle up with mainstream media?

brothers in arms are the people who have been getting attacked along with alex: malone, kennedy, del, and so on. we remember the malone interview yes? and i remember how alex seems to focus on his differences with kennedy even though they have more in common imo.

you want money for a law suit? would be good to make friends with the people that are in your fox hole. i don't see del, kennedy, or malone pulling this stuff. i see a lot of people that don't 100% agree on everything realizing they are stronger if they focus on the big things they do agree on. defeat the mandates rally in LA. Canadian truckers.

why do i give those people more money then alex? because i think they can affect more good by bringing people together.

Expand full comment

Well that makes more sense its a little unclear from your 1st post who you are calling brothers in arms But now I think I understand what you are saying Also agree that you can affect more good by bringing people together

I also agree I was not so clear in first post. 😂

Normally my scatterbrain would have perhaps been confused... but in thIS case, I didn't for one second think you were speaking of MSM, the enemies. I knew exactly who/what you were referring to. Perhaps those uncertain haven't been following Alex as long as you and I.

Anyhoo... had to share. : )

Great, honest post!!

When people tell flat out Lies, try to take away your ability to make a living. For asking honest questions and telling the truth they are most certainly not your brothers in arms Or your friends or your colleagues They have proven themselves to be untrustworthy and must be treated as such I do not understand your logic and how you came to your conclusions but you're right about one thing it would be difficult to get anybody to agree with you And Speaking truth to liars is not vindictive

I will contribute but no GoFundMe

I would ask what were the qualifications of the person(s) who decided that your tweets were 'misinformation' or whatever that violated their policies; I would request their education and background experience to determine how they were qualified to decide what is and isn't misinformation.

Alex, thanks for the updates; they are appreciated! As I've said from the beginning, I will help financially as best I'm able, but my pockets are not deep, am retired and have little income. That said, when the MTD hurdle is successfully passed, I'll be glad to chip in a bit.

Maybe I missed it, but how much is Alex filing the suit for in damages? If one contributes and Alex wins, will Alex reimburse those who contributed to his legal costs?

Expand full comment

How much value has Alex provided the masses at absolutely no cost?

Expand full comment

I'm a paid subscriber, so I've been supporting his cause for some time.

There's also a big difference in crowd-sourcing your legal fees if you're walking away with millions in a victory. I'm all for putting skin in the game, but should there be a financial windfall return the amount invested to those backing you.

I hear you. I really do. I’ll admit I don’t know what he’s going for monetarily but I can’t even imagine how much of his own money he’s pouring into this. I’d imagine it’s large since he’s now saying small donations are welcome.

Yep, I'm in for some dough once/if you get to that point.

I'll be happy to contribute to your lawsuit. Just don't use Go Fund Me.

How possible is it that Elon Musk would simply insist that his employees provide you with all your requested information? By doing this he would save his company millions in legal fees. Or maybe better yet, how about Musk calculating what is would cost to fight you: time; overhead; etc.; etc.; and pay it over to you without admitting guilt of course. Also Alex. he should throw in a bonus of say $10,000,000 since you are certainly one of the people that triggered him to purchase Twitter. I hate to see two good guys fighting each other.

But Alex please address the elonphant in the room ok? What if he just reinstates you and apologizes on behalf of lil bird? And yes, the vaccines are a lie https://twitter.com/couturegems/status/1520153878582472705?s=21&t=nbovx6CJa59U77eccvtp4w

Maybe putting the cart before the horse. But it's an excellent question, Jack. My advice would be to accept reinstatement, but hold out for big $ damages, until all the facts are known. It's certain the longer it goes on, the more will be revealed, and the worse it will look for them.

AND-don't allow 'em off the hook with some mealy-mouth, "... our settlement does not constitute an admission of wrongdoing." Force them to admit they did wrong, and they're guilty of wrongdoing.

I'm aware there's a new sheriff in town. He knew (or certainly should have known) of this lawsuit when he offered to buy twitter, and factored that into his risk calculations. Twisting the knife isn't aimed at him, but at the wrong-doers. The public should know who they are - all of them - and exactly what they did.

My advice is accept reinstatement but request Elon tweet that he is reinstating you. Alex Berenson, as all your tweets are information as opposed to disinformation
