Elon's wit and intelligence astound me daily. His rejoinder to Billy Booster Gates was the best.

Expand full comment

THAT was hilarious.

Expand full comment

I'm dumb. What does the rectangle mean?

Expand full comment

Steve, I suspect you were unable to see the emoji posted because it is quite new and not all phones show the latest emojis if they haven’t been updated. You may have seen a rectangle in place of what is a Pregnant Man emoji, which was used to mock Bill Gates’ voluptuous belly. I hope that makes sense?

Expand full comment

Feels so good to be hip and enlightened now! Thankyou! :)

Expand full comment

Thanks!

I saw the same rectangle on my PC. On the phone I can see it is the pregnant-man emoji. I won’t say which search terms I used to recall the story. It’s all over but here is one version. https://www.redvoicemedia.com/2022/04/elon-musk-hilariously-mocks-bill-gates-in-twitter-post-after-confirming-leaked-texts-between-the-two/

He’s the leader in transhumanism. Wished I had never heard that word, it’s just terrifying.

Expand full comment

Yes that's a major concern. Thinking we are all up for sale one way or another.....

Expand full comment

This really is not true. Yes, he is developing Neuralink but that’s not really nefarious. You should listen to Musk talk about it instead of someone like Joe Allen.

The REAL risk is artificial general intelligence and Neuralink might be our only chance at avoiding slavery to the machines. Ray Kurzweil is much more involved in transhumanism tan Musk.

Expand full comment

Neuralink's propaganda suggests that their implantable devices are for the paralyzed but it doesn't take too much imagination to realize the sinister applications for such technology.

Expand full comment

I would not call myself a Musk fanboy but I do listen to him talk every chance I get. I’ve probably seen most of his podcast appearances and interviews that are available on YT and Rumble.

Musk’s explanation of Neuralink is really straightforward and while initially it will help people with brain injuries Musk himself does not hide the fact that the goal is to eventually create the ability to interact with computers though our brain instead of using our “meat sticks”.

Our bandwidth is very limited by our fingers and Musk claims that this could create a problem as AI, specifically general AI continues to develop. Musk has been consistent in his stated desire to do what is best for humanity. I have never heard him say that he wants to live forever, on the contrary he’s said that death will probably come as a relief. He would like to live long enough to see Mars colonized but that’s basically it.

Getting back to Neuralink, he has called for regulatory oversight of this and AI as a whole. He has said that he is very concerned about artificial general intelligence and has acknowledged that it could get out of control.

I don’t claim to know what Musk thinks. He might have some sinister motives but his actions do not suggest that. It seems like a lot of people get this Musk = Transhumanism thing second or third hand. I suggest going to the source, listen to Musk and understand what he is saying. Does it make sense? Are there flaws in his thesis? Does he obfuscate when questioned? Are his answers preprogrammed like Zuckerborg or are they thoughtful? I think if anyone were to do this without bias they would come away thinking that Musk believes he is doing something to help humanity and reduce the risk of AGI.

Expand full comment

Thank you for taking the time to write such an enlightening response.

Expand full comment

Good observation that Elon Musk is thoughtful and not preprogrammed. Agree with him or not, that's really the most important thing.

Expand full comment

You sure Musk isn't a deranged gazzillionaire?

Expand full comment

Oh, He's crazy! But half the country voted for Branden.

But when you consider the fact that 75 percent of military age Americans are NOT eligible for the military, you begin to understand how "Are you male or female? " is so hard for them to answer.

Expand full comment

"...But half the country voted for Branden...."

You don't really believe that, do you?

Expand full comment

Yes! Anyone who didn't try to get to the bottom of the cheat and stop the stealing of votes may have cast a ballot for Trump but technically changed their vote by being Transpublicans.

Biden got 81 million votes, not 81 million voters and its the votes and not the voters that count.

Rather, who was counting.

Expand full comment

Expand full comment

He probably is but he is way more entertaining. Especially compared to Gates.

Expand full comment

Dearranged? Possibly. What's clear is he's not towing the Global Elites narratives at least with regards to social media control. Musk may still be all in on things like trans-humanism. If he's doing something that has these other elite entities like Blackrock willing to spend billions on to try and interfere with than its unlikely to be bad for the rest fo us. It may not be good but I doubt its bad either.

2020 was a travesty. And it really is a tragedy for the average Joe, in Ukraine.

It's still a completely paper based voting system. Only 'insurance' is that each party on the ballot has the right to a scrutineer being present at the counting in each District. Same in USA?

Expand full comment

You also use a ranking system though... In the US and other banana republics, they lock the scrutineer out and bring in more ballots at 2AM...

Expand full comment

Yes, I saw them wheel in the extraballots.

I’m very worried about dirty deeds here too.

Thanks for comment and support.

Expand full comment

Yes, same. And in 2020, all 5 swing states had one county that just ignored the law and locked Republicans out. And our Supreme Court decided it was moot.... too late, didn't matter.

The FU is out in the open and clear now.

Expand full comment

It is not who votes who makes a candidate win -- it is who counts the votes -- especially in a non-transparent electoral process.

Yes, each party on the ballot can have a scrutineer to watch the counting, but govt has declared that all scrutineers have to be fully vaxxed!!

Expand full comment

They've apparently clarified that one, it's only people employed by the AEC that are supposed to be injected. Direct quote:

" In addition, the AEC will not be requiring proof of vaccination for political participants who are campaigning or scrutineering. We do not have the power to do so."

To be fair, Disney CEO Bob Chapek explicitly tried to get the company out of leftists politics. But he's been hammered by the Maoist activists inside the company for being allegedly anti-LGBT. Chapek is a decent man trapped inside a loony bin.

Baloney. He caved. He doesn't even understand his job, which is to increase shareholder value, not to cater to very left-wing employees.

Expand full comment

If you read his memo that started all the hoopla, Chapek knows very well that his job is to increase shareholder value. I work in Hollywood and if you only knew the power of the LGBT extremists in this town, you would understand the impossible situation he is facing. Mike Ovitz, the founder of CAA, the most powerful agency in Hollywood, made the mistake of calling out the "gay mafia" inside Disney back in 2002 -- and he hasn't worked in Hollywood in 20 years.

Expand full comment

That certainly explains tv and movies for the last 20 years. I had read the original memo, then his awakening, and thus concluded he was weak and caved. Our culture (if we ever really had a culture) is going, going, gone if directed by this woke mob. The inmates now run the asylum.

It was shocking to watch. I am all for workers, but very concerned about where this goes. We seem to keep shooting ourselves in the foot these days (Bidenomics).

I speak from experience: as head of a company, you cannot cave. There is no such thing as caving 'once'. Standing your ground can be painful but it's the only way.

Lol, I was just typing, "but he caved to them" as your post came up.

And now the company is paying the price. Great decision there, boss.

The absolutely sad thing is that Disney still produces some wholesome, uplifting, inspiring content. In the Star Wars Universe, The Bad Batch, The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett entertained while teaching timeless moral lessons...good men/good women protect children (baby Yoda, Omega), help the weak defend themselves against those who do/would oppress them. Unfortunately, the woke leadership and the left wing mob got actress Gina Carano from The Mandalorian fired, effectively ruining the show. I'm not saying these shows were perfect, but my family has chosen to keep Disney+ so we can continue watching them. Disney knows what we watch and maybe they will keep allowing Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau to make good shows in the Star Wars universe. The Marvel movies are, on the whole, more good that bad. There are parts of Disney that are redeemable. Wish Elon would buy it if his Twitter bid falls short.

Expand full comment

Disney has *never* depicted intact families with a mother and father. Nor have they even acknowledged the existence of God. They have been evil since day one, except now the mask has dropped.

Star Wars, Marvel are tedious formulaic claptrap. All past their sell by dates. Just show the bad guys and the good guys at the beginning and we can fill in the entire movie from there which includes endless CG explosions, shootings, and the destruction of a city/country/planet or two, but the good guys emerge from the rubble to live on in another sequel. Rinse repeat.

Expand full comment

Chapek's position was intended to be temporary. I wonder if he will later regret all the negative PR he has brought to WDW since he took over (i.e., Genie, Passholder value, attendance requirements, etc), or his facilitating the termination of WDW's 50 year tax exempt status, et al? I hope so.

At this point in his track record (I loved the time he gave the finger to my Governor- Gavin Newsom) I would encourage Elon to invent some better ‘balls’ that our Republicans can put on and start acting like men with courage and guts.

Expand full comment

That is literally transhumanism. And Elon loves it!

Expand full comment

If Elon buys the bird, Alex can settle…the bird admits liability, pays atty fees, plus something on top, agrees to reinstate him, everybody wins

Expand full comment

It’s about legal liability as board members. Personal liability trumps collective ideology, even in Leftift-ville.

Not sure he is on the right side of the mRNA technology, from what he has said about it. Let's be careful of billionaires who appear benevolent.

Musk is free, and he is for freedom. He still plays, dances and jokes with others. Compare to Gates or Schwab and notice how stiff both are.

"Seriously Consider", and on a Sunday morning - this is NO joke, the board has a Big Gun pointed at their collective heads. They now have NO choice. If they haggle over price or flinch just a bit, Elon's 80M (that's a big 'M' of course) Twitter shares will be dumped on the NYSE and that sound will be heard around the 'wok' world, as the Board passes the sword around the room & each commit Hara Kiri. This guy places 3-level chess.

Expand full comment

Twit board sells to Elon, he exposes their censorship policies. Twitter board does not sell then they out themselves as motivated by leftist politics and banning free speech. Either way, Twit is screwed.

Expand full comment

Does anyone else wonder if Mr. Musk is going to have an 'accident' soon?

Expand full comment

Is he incontinent?

The people have the power if they use it wisely and look who they are invested with. Everyone who cares about free speech and freedom should be actioning with their investments. Why does anyone invest in Vanguard and Black Rock now? There must be other more worthy companies to invest in who dont wield power with our money.

Expand full comment

What percentage of "the people" have investment money? I don't. I live hand to mouth. Barely not homeless.

Expand full comment

And yet here you are on the Internet and authoring your own Substack, which requires at minimum a smart phone with data service. Is barely not homeless like barely pregnant.

&0 years old. No retirement, property or savings of any kind. Just a crazy ex wife with the law on her side. Social insecurity backed up by doing electrical work. When my body cant do that anymore (soon) not sure how I can continue to to pay 1250 a month for my studio apartment here in Ca and eat, buy gas etc. I take full responsibility for my lot in life. Making money writing when you are average at best is a pipe dream. It's like acting. lots of talented people out of work. Homeless people and illegal aliens have free smart phones.

Expand full comment

Im sorry that you live hand to mouth but Vanguard and Black Rock would not have the power they do if people didnt give them that power by investing with them. We the people can walk with our feet to companies that hold to good values of freedom and respecting the freedoms of others

Dont disagree. Just pointing out the fact that "investors" leaves out a lot of good, hard-working, caring people.

Musk owning twitter will not make it any less of a cesspool.

Expand full comment

Everyone knows that. However, now there will no longer be attempts to claim Twitter is virtuous. That is the whole point of the exercise.

Expand full comment

I wonder if this will light a fire under politicians to change section 230 now, and have it affect all social media platforms.

Expand full comment

FB and Google don't give a flying fug about Section 230. They have money to burn. But, the "restraint of trade" area of law that WILL cook their goose! Break them up, and prohibit their ability to edit, block, or control the conversations. No more "free" lunches either; nothing is free.

We will have left wing truth and lies, and right wing truth and lies. And the adults will use discernment to follow whomever thy wish to follow. I think that is how it's supposed to work, but I'm just a dumb electrician with no investment money.

It’s supposed to be a cesspool. That’s what free speech necessarily entails. Now it’s just a propaganda outfit.

I would find the naiveté some possess as funny if it wasn't so dangerous to future generations.

That's what makes it so much fun......the Woke spinning out of control. Either he wants to rule the world, or he doesn't! But giving that disgusting whoremonger Bill Gates the finger was the highlight of the week for me!

Excited to see if the cesspool of social media can be transformed. Would love to see FB & IG die off as a result of a free market society & capitalism at work.

This board meeting is for appearances and to show the judge and jury that they did do their due diligence before saying no to Musk's offer when he sues them. No serious person is falling for this.

That is where the problem lies, "no serious person".

So far, Musk does not appear to be a rabid communist. At any rate, his interest in protecting free speech is something foreign to the Big Tech overlords.

Musk wants a microchip in all our brains but supports less censorship in the meantime. #hollow-victory

Expand full comment

how do you know this?

Expand full comment

You'll have to do your own research. My understanding is that he's involved w Neural Link. I've seen video of him saying that mrna technology can make a person whatever they are programmed to be and he specifically mentioned a butterfly. Transhumanism aka Fourth Industrial Revolution is definitely at play. The Harari author/professor/righthand man to Klsus Schwab says humans are hackable and free will can be taken away. Musk relies heavily on govt contracts. To think he's some real maverick or rebel as a plutocrat is ludicrous. Nicholson1968 y.t. channel is good.

Could I prove it in court? Maybe w enough money and lawyers, yeah. Prolly not here but research n discern for yourself.

Nothing personal, but I'd rather watch fishing videos

Twitter has had plenty of time to edit, delete, throw away/change rules and manipulate anything by now hope the sale goes through. This will be a change in the freedom direction.

Expand full comment

If this happens, we might actually see the left pushing for section 230 reform 🤣🤣🤣

Twitter always seemed dumb and like all social media, just a place to bully and show off. Therefore, to me it seemed simple. Just stop using it. I tried FB quite a few years back to stay connected to a few distant friends and family. Quickly realized I neither liked nor was remotely interested in 99% of my new "friends". Quit using it. Social media is the cultural cancer of our generations. Walk away. The so called value of these companies will just fizzle into nothing where they belong. But Elon is a pretty smart dude. He'll figure it out.

While everyone has been focused on Musk and Twitter, did you happen to notice the reports of some 20+ major US food processing plants that have been destroyed in the last 6 months by fire, explosions, and small planes? About 12 of the incidents occurred during the last 2 months. Biden talks about USA food shortages and plants burn. Coincidence? Ever stop to think that Musk/ Twitter is an Obama like diversion?

I think YOU fellow contributors are absolutely AMAZING! You know SO much and are so well informed. One thing this whole scamdemic has done is open my eyes to do much TRUTH - about the REAL world we all live in - where the real POWER lies! The Elite, banks, WEF, secret organisations, censorship etc.

The REAL world is not one that most people would recognise and I fear that the powers are unstoppable as they take everything under their total control.

Meanwhile we are trapped here in our little goldfish bowl, distracted by baubles, preaching to the choir, because it's already all we have left.

How do we stop them taking EVERYTHING? Because they WILL be back!!!

The board was about to be sued out of existence due to their lack of fiduciary responsibility to shareholders, so they came to their senses. Nothing more, nothing less.

Plus, no one else is crazy enough to spend $40B+ on a platform that generates almost no margin and enormous headaches.

Might it have something to do with various States discussing possibly suing them for breaching their fiduciary responsibilities? Lots of dough tied up in State pension funds.
