The international US tech companies are the enemy within. Regarding our "leaders"-- there have been warnings and even briefings for years regarding our vulnerabilities: politicians have ignored what was there and have failed to exercise their responsibilities to"preserve, protect and defend the constitution of the United States." Sad. I've heard many things Joe said that his Dad said. Wonder if he ever said, 'A Day late and a nickel short'?

As an American myself, I am both shocked and ashamed, not only of the actions of our government but at the seeming apathy, and perhaps even approval, toward what can only be described as the draconian actions of Uncle Joey, by our population. I have tried to point out to anybody who will listen that today these powers are being used in a way that pleases you but tomorrow these very powers may well be used against you. Unfortunately, nobody seems to be listening.

In the top 71 developed countries the US ranks 38th on math and 24th in science. Students in India and China who have trouble competing there come to schools in the US like MIT and Ga Tech and excel. Our public schools are nothing but zoos, and we're putting 4 times more money on ours than they.

We used our school to achieve social equity. They used theirs to educate. But we shall overcome.

My son was at UC Davis, which is supposedly great university, especially in California. They run certain math classes with up to 750 students in a class. For me, the first voting criteria is to call out any candidates that are WEF Young Global Leader graduates. These should all be rejected, regardless their party. I will never vote for one of them, and their WEF relationship needs to be publicized far and wide. After that, I will be careful about voting for any Republicans. I too have normally voted Democrat. What did he actually accomplish when he was an elected official for all those years? It was a known fact that he and his family made fortunes off of their business dealings with Ukraine one of the most corrupt countries on the world.

What did he accomplish as VP with Obama?

He was constantly extremely inappropriate with women and children. When he campaigned he was a blubbering incoherent senile old man. It was pathetic to watch him campaign when he actually came out to do so. I couldn’t imagine any wife allowing her husband to be subjected to such cruelty. Did you think he would improve once he was elected? I really struggle to comprehend how anyone thought Biden was a good candidate or a moderate.

It's important to develop a coherent political philosophy, an ideology that guides your decisions. "That government is best that governs least," is mine. I supported Trump because he promised to eliminate unnecessary red tape and regulations that stifled creative thinking and prevented new ideas and products from coming into the marketplace. He did just that, which is how we became energy independent and the number one energy exporter. That's only one example. Anyone who runs for office promising to create more giveaway programs, even when those might seem compassionate, has tendencies toward socialism, or is a declared socialist. That was Biden, and it is all Democrats, if they are honest.

Seriously, if they don't follow politics, they should not vote.

Voting people out doesn't come close to being enough. We need real trials for crimes against humanity, malfeasance, fraud, corruption, treason, on all levels, not just politicians. And there need to be serious consequences, bankrupting fines, long prison sentences at hard labor, at the very, very least. And the permanent elimination of the agencies and "emergency" powers that got us here. If it means "altering and abolishing" our government, so be it.

Expand full comment

Government IS the problem.

I absolutely agree Our sheriffs have the constitutional duty and right to arrest any politician for all that you stated.

4. Do not OBEY or ENFORCE unconstitutional, unconscionable orders, decrees & laws (it's not Justin Trudeau out there in a goon suit trampling old ladies)

5. Use our immense power as jurors to acquit & reward good citizens for the above

I hear what you're saying, but here's the problem. Actually, a couple of them. First, where does one go to vote Anthony Fauci out of office? He's been in DC since LBJ. And he's only one of the high-profile swamp creatures. The Administrative State is filled with legions of these pocket totalitarians. If you hadn't noticed, it is they, not the Congress that make most of the rules that create the living hell of the regulatory nation we have become.

Second, what makes you think the next batch of clowns you vote into office will be any better than this lot? 95% of politicians get into politics because they are (a) incredibly ambitious and self-interested, and (b) completely incompetent to enter any other line of employment. That's what you have in most folks who run for office; a bunch of people whose ambition to power and wealth far outstrips their meager talents.

The actual solution to what ails us is not to change the folks who preside over the leviathan. I say preside over because to say "control" gives these morons far too much credit. The answer is to slay the leviathan itself. Get rid of it. Devolve power back to the State and local level. I know, the State and Local levels are filled with the same type of boobs that occupy the Federal government. The differences are; (a) the boobs in Connecticut can only oppress residents of Connecticut and (b) it's a lot easier for the residents of Connecticut to get in the face of their individual State Representative or Senator than it is to do the same to their Congressmen and Senators. Also, buying off 50 State governments and literally thousands of local governments is way more expensive than buying one Federal Government.

It will be difficult to achieve a real reduction of the Federal Government, but that is the only real solution.

Where one goes to vote Fauci out of office is where you go to vote his boss out of office and vote in someone who will fire him in, such as DeSantis.

Here's how to help with that and a lot of other things:

California's Educational Freedom Act, a constitutional initiative, needs donations & signatures to qualify for the ballot. School Vouchers would end covid mask/vaccine tyranny and restore quality education and choice for all parents regardless of income. People can read about it, donate, volunteer, forward, download, sign and circulate here:

https://www.californiaschoolchoice.org/

There's still this month left to help. You don't have to be a parent or live in California to want this on the ballot. Just getting on the ballot will heavily drain the warchests of liberty's enemies (DemComs, government unions) even if it doesn't pass. Hundreds of millions of dollars that would otherwise be used to elect enemies of liberty, both in California state, local and federal seats, and in other states. If it passes, it's a whole new ball game.

Don't help? Don't sign? Then don't whine.

Everyone in Cali should at least download & return with your own family's signatures, and forward to anyone you think would be likely to sign. Everyone outside Cali, forward to Calis and consider donating.

Best thing to happen in Pennsylvania was the May 2021 primary in which the following consititutional amendments were passed:

1. Shall the Pennsylvania Constitution be amended to change existing law so that: a disaster emergency declaration will expire automatically after 21 days, regardless of the severity of the emergency, unless the General Assembly takes action to extend the disaster emergency; the Governor may not declare a new disaster emergency to respond to the dangers facing the Commonwealth unless the General Assembly passes a concurrent resolution; the General Assembly enacts new laws for disaster management?

2. Shall the Pennsylvania Constitution be amended to change existing law and increase the power of the General Assembly to unilaterally terminate or extend a disaster emergency declaration—and the powers of Commonwealth agencies to address the disaster regardless of its severity pursuant to that declaration—through passing a concurrent resolution by simple majority, thereby removing the existing check and balance of presenting a resolution to the Governor for approval or disapproval?

I would also advise states to pass parental opt out legislation for masks like Virginia has done. Currently in PA there is no mask mandate and the vast majority of schools don't have one. But kids stuck in urban blue areas are still masked and probably will never get out of them until the opt out law passes. And even kids in blue parts of the state don't deserve to be stuck in masks.

You're halfway there. You committed the common error of running afoul of Hanlon's Razor: "Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity" (or incompetence). Alex, while all the mandates appear to be rolling back globally, a group of Democratic California legislators are trying to push through 8 new laws mandating vaccinations for everyone who lives and works in California.SB 871 would require all children 0 to 17 to get the COVID-19 vaccine to attend child care or school;

SB 866 would allow kids 12 to 17 to get the COVID-19 vaccine without parental consent;

SB 1749 would require schools to continue testing and to create testing plans;

SB 1018 would require online platforms to be more transparent about how information is pushed out to consumers;

SB 1464 would force law enforcement officials to enforce public health orders;

AB 1993 would require all employees, including independent contractors, to show proof of COVID-19 vaccine to work in California;

AB 1797 would make changes to the California Immunization Record Database;

AB 2098 would reclassify the sharing of COVID-19 “misinformation” by doctors and surgeons as unprofessional conduct that would result in disciplinary action.

This is insanity and horrendous governmental over-reach.

Hi Sara, Thanks for the reply. In CA I am Skeptical their overreach will ever cease. We need more libertarians in the legislature. We have libertarians in the people, but so many others are told how to vote by their groups via "recommendations" if you get my drift. A good portion of people here are just soooooo brainwashed. Total NPC's.

It's funny. January 21 there were maybe 5 Covid exposure notices at work. This year, it was 30+! But get your shot, right? I'm in the Bay Area- out east, so you may have a different perspective wherever you are. I walk through the grocery stores and look at all the masked- still probably 80%. I question, are they unvaxxed, brainwashed, or just scared?

Brainwashed and highly deferential to “rules” and “experts”. Until last week, all the parents were wearing masks while waiting outdoors to pick up their children from school— because the district told them to.

BEWARE...many companies have slipped covid "vaccination" into their employee handbooks. My husband works for a large employer, a federal contractor. New hires have to be vaxxed according to the change in the handbook. His company tried to force/threaten/harass/coerce all employees to get vaxxed or they'd be terminated. Could put in for religious (RE) or medical exemption(ME) subject to approval. Enough employees pushed back. Many refused to release their vax status or put in for a RE or ME. It was heating up and I guess they were afraid they'd lose a bunch of workers. They still led their employees to believe they had to get vaxxed even after federal contractor mandate squashed. Some of his coworkers did get vaxxed and were very upset because they didn't want to.

My point is this crap is not over. It will rear it's ugly head agIn. It is affecting potential new hires at his company.

The battle has moved to the State Legislatures, at least here in CA. There are so many bad bills pending. Bills that would allow kids to be able to give vaccine approvals without parental ok at age 12. Covid shots mandated if you want to work or go to daycare or school (even private school). Police officers mandated to become enforcers of public health orders ( hello gestapo?) Central state data registry of vaccines, doctors to potentially lose licenses over covid 'misinformation', the state to have the right to inspect patient records without patient consent at doctors offices. We flew internationally for the first time since this lunacy cancelled our 25th wedding anniversary “trip of a lifetime” to Italy in March 2020. I thought my husband was going to lose his mind. First there were hours (literally hours over 2 days) spent getting Covid tests (we had Covid in January and antibody tests to back that up). Then trying to download everything to the airline (7 times no luck), then the destination country’s ridiculous online form which spit out QR codes to use at immigration. Then the nonstop masking messages in the airport and on the plane - “we’re serious, you have to mask between bites and sips, and we mean every time.” We were wearing MESH masks - you could clearly see my husband’s face through his - and that was 100% fine. But put it back up between sips, dammit. Then we got to our destination country and the QR codes turned red when scanned by immigration. Oh my that’s bad, go over to the desk in the corner. Vax card? Nope, vax not required. Here’s our negative test. Hand us little pieces of paper with “verde” on them and back to the main desk. Mask signs everywhere. At the hotel, mask signs everywhere. (Although we’ve noticed they aren’t policing it, although all the staff and most of the guests are wearing them.) To get back into the US, we need either a negative test within one day (we aren’t in a super first world place) OR our antibody tests (90 days old or less) AND (we realized yesterday) a “letter from a health care provider clearing us for travel.” That’s next Sunday so we’ll see how that goes. We can’t upload that stuff to the airline until Saturday. We do understand that outside this major city, where we’ll be all next week, no one is wearing masks. What a bunch of horse hockey.

Here in Australia I am vaccinated but hate the mandates so avoid the sign in where possible. Unsurprisingly all private businesses I frequent have the signs but do not check my papers. Public places (library and pool for example) are much more strict.

So I can walk into the pub without vaccine papers no problem but taking my kids to the public library requires proof of vaccination.

I’m also in Australia (WA). Vaccination needed for many activities and mandated for many jobs. But never for public libraries.

Yeah, I got refused entry for refusing to show my papers, a friend who did not know turned up with her 2 year old daughter and was refused entry. It is so dystopian to be refused entry to the public library or swimming pool because of your non-compliance.

Expand full comment

I understand swimming pools (because of the potential bodily connections) more than libraries, although I disagree with both restrictions. What I do not understand is how the "health advice" might differ from one state to another. It has become a convenient official meme for what are otherwise arbitrary decisions by governments, who never publish the details of the "health advice" or "the science". If a library is problematic for some reason, why is a church not problematic, for example? While the library is small-fry and doesn't really matter (in comparison with other things), the loss of trust in public decision-making, in science and medicine, really does matter and I fear will be very hard to repair. A bit like the boy who cried wolf situation, it may take many years, or even generations, to restore the newly lost confidence in expertise. And that's a BIG problem ...

There was an experiment with rats.

Some rats were put in buckets of water deep enough that they had to tread to breath. The rats gave up after about forty minutes and drowned.

The experiment was repeated with some other rats. This time, however, the rats were "rescued" just before they gave up. Then, after they were given a chance to rest a bit, they were put back in the water.

This second time in the water, the rats didn't give up for hours and hours.

The "scientists" surmised that the reason why the rats did not give up is that they had hope of being rescued again.

The point being, if we learned anything from the Corona Prison Experiment is that it is easy to frighten people and then to persuade them to do just about anything, no matter how stupid. If you believe that this evidence won't be put to a use even more sinister than an experiment with gene modification, you haven't been paying attention.
