I hope Alex is correct. But there needs to be a serious reckoning with the bureaucrats and media. Their actions led to a lot of people dying needlessly. That's not hyperbole.

Things look good for a big Republican win next year. Unfortunately, it's unlikely they'll want to look backwards, any more than they did over the last election.

My opinion- the Republican Party is just slightly less slime than the Dems.

Expand full comment

The Democrats are the "Evil Party". The GOP is the "Stupid Party". At least some Republicans didn't want to lock kids up and force them to get experimental gene therapy.

Stupid but will leave me and my kids alone > evil, stupid, insane authoritarians

Expand full comment

No they will not. Look at who voted for HR550--80 GOP. https://www.govtrack.us/congress/votes/117-2021/h388

They will NOT leave you and your kids alone. Contact your Senators and speak out against this bill, if you want to keep your vaccine status out of a gov't/big tech registry system.

Thanks for this link, Michele. I learn so much in these Substack comment sections.

Yep.... totally agree and so disheartening to see that. We need to start a new party.

Expand full comment

Spot on.

There are some good people in the Republican party but there are plenty of terrible ones too. The contrast is that there is only one good person in the Democrat party - Tulsi Gabbard - and the party almost universally hates her.

Expand full comment

I called my Democratic senator Jon Tester (Montana) to thank him for breaking with the party on employer vaccine mandates. It was a welcome—and encouraging—surprise. He's a good ol' wheat farmer from small town, rural Montana, so I wouldn't write him off.

Tester is going along with the Build Back Broke plan so he is on board with destroying the country.

God damn, slaves, you’re chosen politician is controlled or they wouldn’t be in power. If they’re breathing, they’re compromised.

It’ll take incremental we Neal progress to fix - that progress is being made on the GOP site though more work ahead.

It would help if all the war mongers from BOTH parties, and self-proclaimed socialists, and mandate living authoritarians would just go away or get voted out in a single election. A literal brick would be better those groups.

Expand full comment

You really never know whether you can trust a politician until you've watched them wield power. And stand up to pressure. Tulsi is courageous but unproven because she's never been in a significant position of power.

Expand full comment

That pretty much nails it. My hope is that the emergence of the newer blood like Crenshaw, Boebert, Massie, and so on eventually supplant the Mitch McConnells of the party. His type are the ones that perpetually regain some control and then squander it stupidly.

Crenshaw is bad news. Probably CIA.

Expand full comment

You triggered me by saying something nice about Crenshaw. Copy & paste from a post I made elsewhere:

I am a constituent of Crenshaw's. I voted for him in 2020. Now I regret it.

He posted this tweet:

"Let’s get some truth on the record: Liz_Cheney has a hell of a lot more backbone than most, and is a principled leader with a fierce intellect. She will continue to be a much-needed leader in the conference, with my full support."

How'd that work out for ya, Dan?

And in a video seen online, he said this about suspicions the election was stolen:

"Don't kid yourself into believing that's why we lost. It's not. It's not. Five states?.... You've got to flip all five states to make it work."

I'll give Crenshaw credit for not pandering to his constituents by telling them what they want to hear. But before making that "you've got to flip all five states..." comment, he should have put pencil to paper. A change in results in any three states among the five (AZ, PA, GA, MI, and WI) where serious irregularities were observed would have made the election go the other way.

If Crenshaw says he doesn't believe the election was stolen, that's one thing. It's impossible for Crenshaw to KNOW the election wasn't stolen. As a minimum, he should solidly support efforts to give voters confidence the elections were done fairly. But he doesn't do that.

Crenshaw is a member of the uniparty. He doesn't represent the people who voted for him. I'll never vote for him again.

Expand full comment

I agree 100%! Also I think he is a Deep State IC Plant. Possibly CIA but can't say for sure. His strong support of Neocon Globalist Marxist Liz Cheney (also a Deep State IC Plant) points in that direction. Kinzinger is another possible Deep State IC Plant. All 3 need to disappear ASAP.

Expand full comment

You may be right. We have no way of knowing.

Just my opinion- the explanation is a lot simpler. Crenshaw is no dummy. He looks at the other congresscritters, sees that the ones who get the better committee assignments, bigger campaign contributions from Google and Facebook, and invitations to invest in business opportunities are the ones who don't rock the boat and get along to go along.

Then he decides to do what's best for Dan Crenshaw.

I agree with you 100%! The "light at the end of the tunnel" speech needs to come from that nitwit in the White House and the other nitwits Fauci and Walenski, and then trickle down from there. My opinion is that it is highly unlikely that will happen in the near future. Biden's approval numbers are swirling the bowl fast with the exception of covid where he still has a +/- 50% approval rating. Plus the power and money behind this pandemic is too much for them to let go of right now.

At the local levels as well, at least in my state...a deep blue northeast state... Covid-19 is in your face all the time. The local public school puts out a weekly email starting with the COVID-19 dashboard highlighting how many students per school building are in isolation for positive cases and how many are under quarantine for close contacts, and places are starting to reimplement indoor mask mandates like the local gymnastics studio (Yep making kids do gymnastics while wearing masks).

Emphasis needs to switch from living with it and protocols that if you do catch it you get quick treatment and highlight those therapeutics that are available and then quit the craziness and get back to normal life.

Every bite you eat alters the expression of your genes. Nothing magic about genes, just a code, like a computer program. Open your browser, close your browser, simply exercises the code. Same with these vaxes, they simply insert a code to produce a protein, like downloading an app or a cat video. Your body does the rest.

Interesting takes. I enjoyed and greatly value your essential scientific interpretations over the course of the plandemic, but will revert to my own political and sociological analysis. Europe is 27 nations and cultures. There is an inherent destructive paternalism in much of western europe yes, but don't mistake the center and east as envied by pink-haird Brooklyn activists. A quarter of them tilt harder conservative/catholic/nationalist than many red states, including Poland where I am and people are not afraid of any variant and know a totalitarian scam from a country mile away. Also don't expect anything to end in the states either. This was a weapon, used by those who have long ago declared war on free peoples. They will not put the weapon down because of the courts or the actions of employers. They will continue to exploit it to their advantage and use it to divide Americans further apart. Everything is politicized there, and the stage is worse off than before with masked, unmasked, vaxxed, unvaxxed, covid passes, no covid passes. The free state and paternalistic blue states are more divided than ever. The gulf between ways of life in both states could lead to an internal migration crisis, more social chaos, conflict and strife. And as bill gates says, the next virus will be much worse. He and the others who engineered this Silent War on the people should know.

I certainly hope you are right. I hope that my pessimism is unfounded in that I live in probably the most brainwashed building in the likely most hypnotized neighborhood in dystopian New York City. I'm surrounded by people bragging every time I meet them in the elevator that they got the booster (even though I ask them not to tell me things that are none of my business), fanatically enforcing mask rules, and backing up and adding a second mask if you make the mistake of indicating you're not jabbed. I briefly thought things were getting a tiny bit better this summer, but it's all back to 2020. This city I used to love has become a hell hole.

I live in Vancouver, across the river from Portland. Everyone here treats covid as though it is over. Half the people in my gym no longer wear masks. I have one on me when I'm in the gym and wear when passing the front desk. But I don't wear it while working out. I think its over in our area. You must like in King county where vaccines as mandated to enter gyms and restaurants.

Our governor thinks he's been elected Emperor of the Universe. In King County this means our lives are even more greatly impacted than in the state as a whole. We can't attend a sporting event, museum, farmer's market, restaurant, or really any entertainment or facility other than a grocery store or shopping mall (and

even there some stores will keep us out). This is supremely frustrating, since having recovered from Covid we are no danger to anyone, but hey, who cares about science.

You guys have reminded me that I actually do live in a bit of a bubble. I am an industrial automation system integrator (I one of those few people who actually works in MANUFACTURING, that dying American sport!) working for purely private sector entities. I also live in a "red" area of a blue state, and, I don't have kids. Aside from the mild inconvenience of wearing a mask in stores, entering and leaving restaurants (my wife and I like to dine out every Saturday), and in the gym; this madness has largely left me alone.

I am well aware this is not the case for many of you, including those of you in the same city as myself. Anyone who works in non-private areas of the economy (education, health care, government) is experiencing the full brunt of the covid-19 madness. Doubly so for those who have kids. Forcing these vaccinations on the young is a crime against humanity. Those pushing such should be hanged, just like the Nazis at the end of the first Nuremberg trials. However, I will say that the kids have been exposed to increasing levels of madness from all areas over the past 20 years, primarily through the public schools and, to a lessor extent, the massive proliferation of childhood vaccines since the passage of liability indemnity in 1986.

I live in Snohomish county and see much the same thing . People here generally act as if it's over . No one wears a mask at our gym except for the odd one or two. A non-trivial amount of people don't wear a mask in the grocery stores and even less in building supply stores and such. Restaurants tell you that you must have a vaccine card or a negative COVID test and then when you go to show them your negative test results , they don't even look at it , wave you on and start leading you off to your table . It's all perfunctory and there's no soul in it. Of course I work in big tech , and many are proud to line up for the next series of shots no matter what

Susanna, you're exactly right about children, and I think that is pretty much everywhere. Most adults have moved on, but our children are still being held hostage by the Covidians. Disgusting child abuse, and it looks like they have every intention of clinging to their power over children.

Expand full comment

I'm also in big tech and it amazes me how stupid so many "smart" people are. All they see is a continued paycheck, not the first step in making that paycheck and savings account eventually worthless. But when you can't even get them to agree that someone who has never been exposed to Covid can't give you covid (I count the vax as exposure), it makes you wonder where the company is headed. That lack of critical thinking is what gets big companies hacked.

I'm an industrial automation system integrator and, no, neither I or anyone else I know of has been fired over any vaccine mandate. In fact, I know of only one employer in my industry that requires the vaccine and that's because they do a lot of pharma automation. I don't do pharma myself.

I was going to say that the "government" based fields like education and medical, not to mention direct state employment, are still under the thrall of the covid madness. But the madness is declining in the private sector. This madness never touched me, although it did come close for a couple of days in early November.

Expand full comment

I've done food and bev. But I've not done any pharma and have no desire to do it. At least as long as the covid madness persists. Other system integrators, mostly on the east coast, have also said that some pharma customers are requiring the shots. But no one else is. They also said that are are some exceptions for system integrators, probably because there are so few of us to begin with. In any case, pharma is mostly DCS's (Delta V, etc.) and I work with PLC's.

BikerChick - as I've researched more, I've come to see that most red state districts (being education are liberal) and are still masking the kids and making them quarantine and doing silly things like bringing masks in each time cases go up and then letting the kids out of the masks when cases go down, and on and on. My point is that red states are screwing the children over - as well as any employees of chain stores.

Big news in California yesterday as the LA Unified school district walked back their upcoming mandate. They claim it is just moved back to the summer, but given that everyone else is climbing down, I think it is over.

Some of the numbers in the LA Times article was amazing. In deep blue Oakland, one district decided to grab headlines and mandate for 12+. As of the coming deadline 38% of the kids in the district were not compliant, in this ultra liberal area. So they withdrew it. That tells you a lot.

We were hoping to spend two more school years in Cali before leaving but were planning to flee next summer before the mandate. We will likely go through a spasm caused by Omicron. In my own contrary opinion, it is not mild, as I explain in a few of my substack posts.

Omicron does "prefer" to infect the vaccinated, raising the specter of ADE. Already UK has hospitalizations and deaths despite Omicron in the UK being very recent.

https://igorchudov.substack.com/p/boris-johnsons-biggest-blunder

If it is not mild and as infectious as it is, growing by 10x per week, we are in for a while ride that would culminate around the end of January. By the spring, most people will have it, mild or not, defeating any possible hope for "Omicron boosters".

So... The million dollar question is... After almost veryone has Omicron or past Covid, will the vaccinated actually acquire immunity, or will get Covid repeatedly due to original antigenic sin? That's a question that we do not know the answer to. Herd immunity may elude us BECAUSE OF vaccination.

The point is

1) We may have a very wild and tragic situation in January

2) The vaxxed may never acquire proper immunity due to interference from their Covid vax.

Except here in the "home of free speech" Berkeley, CA, the school board will be taking away prom and other activities from the unvaccinated... This email came out on Friday. We are making plans to leave by next Fall.

Dear BUSD Families of Students Ages 12 and Older,

(a continuación en español) انقر هنا لقراءة هذه الرسالة باللغة العربية

You are receiving this message because our records show your BUSD student who is age 12 or older is not yet fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Please know that BUSD’s All-Student Vaccine and Testing Policy requirement goes into effect on January 3, 2022 for all students who are 12 and older. This policy, passed in October by the Board of Education, requires that students 12 and older are either (1) fully vaccinated or (2) take a free on-campus COVID-19 test once per week, unless they have documented a medical exemption for testing.

A student is “fully vaccinated” if two weeks have elapsed since their second dose of the vaccine.

You can also read the All-Student Vaccine and Testing Policy in Spanish and in Arabic.

Additionally, students age 12+ will need to be fully vaccinated to participate in any of the following:

- All overnight field trips

- Senior Prom and all other school dances

- School-sponsored student gatherings that take place in the evenings or on weekends

- Providing off-campus mentoring or tutoring to younger BUSD students

- One-time graduation and end-of-year events (excluding graduation ceremonies)

- Sports, clubs, student internships, work study, and other activities that take place as part of the school day are excluded from this vaccination requirement, unless this requirement is a condition of the host location.

Opportunities for Vaccinations

There are vaccination appointments available for a vaccination clinic at Berkeley Community College on Tuesday, December 14. You can register your student here.

Children need parent/guardian consent to receive the vaccine at this clinic and must be accompanied by a responsible adult during their appointment and during the 15- minute post-vaccine observation period. If a parent or guardian will not be present at the clinic, please complete this consent form. A parent/guardian will also need to be called while the student is at the clinic to give verbal consent.

Healthcare providers, including Kaiser, Sutter Health, and Stanford Health Care, among others, are also scheduling appointments.

Additionally, local pharmacies are scheduling vaccination appointments for children. This includes CVS and Walgreens. Vaccines are also available at Safeway. Please continue to check these sites online, as appointments will continue to open up.

Please also visit the City of Berkeley vaccine information page for information about vaccinations. Whenever possible, the City encourages residents to schedule vaccine appointments with their primary healthcare provider, including but not limited to, Berkeley Pediatrics, East Bay Pediatrics, Kaiser, Sutter, and Kiwi Pediatrics.

You may also visit MyTurn.CA.gov or www.Vaccines.gov to find clinics and pharmacies that are offering Pfizer and have open appointments for patients ages five and older.

If you are having trouble securing an appointment for your student, please email vax@berkeley.net, and district staff will assist you.

Verifying Your Student’s Fully Vaccinated Status

If your student is fully vaccinated, please scan or photograph the front and back of their vaccination card and email it to: vax@berkeley.net. We will update our records, and your student will not be required to test weekly as part of the All-Student Vaccine and Testing Policy.

If you are unable to scan or photograph your student’s completed vaccination card, please email vax@berkeley.net, and a staff member will be in touch.

Student Testing Requires One-Time Registration

If you haven’t already done so, please register your student for free COVID-19 testing at all BUSD TK-12 schools. This is a one-time registration and does not require proof of identification or health insurance. This consent covers both student rapid antigen testing and PCR testing.

COVID-19 Vaccination Information

Please visit BUSD’s Covid-19 Vaccination Information Page to learn more about the vaccine.
