A lot of people in the neoliberal West don't understand what Communism actually is. Our politicians are not Communists. We don't have the barest inkling of Communism here because it's been weeded out of the American mind in an incredibly effective 100-year brainwashing and miseducation campaign. What we have here is not Communism. It is totalitarian neoliberal fascism. This is a big difference, but what remains the same is that we are all merely proles meant to be manipulated while an elite oligarchy profits massively from a rigged system.

Or as Mark Levine’s book calls them, American Marxists. You should really get a copy.

I agree with you. The root word for communism is comm, as in community, commons, etc. What was practiced in the USSR was not communism, and today Russia is more capitalist than communistic.

Maybe you're right. But you don't think of the U.S.S.R. as a place of fat-cat CEOs, more a place of corrupt state bureaucrats who oversee managers and state-sanctioned factories and farm output.

Expand full comment

That's right. What was put in place in the Soviet Union was also not Communism. That was a state-controlled centralized bureaucracy. I can't think of a name for it, though. I want to call it Socialism but it isn't even that.

Oh yes the ol' "No True Scotsman has ever implemented True Communism before" argument.

It's the Democrats implementing this not the Republicans. Take it up with them if you don't think Democrats are being proper left wing people.

You're completely misreading the situation.

Leftists always do as much as they think they can get away with. Inasmuch as they limit their natural craziness it is only a tactical move so as not to scare the horses.

All you have to do is ask which Democrat has ever said "you know what? We need *less* regulation in that particular industry. We need *less* taxation on that group of people over there."

Well to be fair, in the market for killing fetuses and drugging people they seem to want more and more freedom. But in every other market all they ever want is more and more restrictions. It is only ever the pace of restrictions that they change never the direction.

So even the Democrats of 60 years ago - whose policies were way way more libertarian than what most Republicans of today would espouse - would have espoused more restrictions if they thought they could get away with it.

Communism is a very well defined and structured ideology that has been applied in dozens of countries around the world with the same results: disastrous economic consequences and thousands, often millions, of deaths. The claim that this was not "true communism" is therefore no longer believable. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to believe that the next attempt to apply "true communism" will not lead to the same result once again.

I was supposed to start getting a weekly test at the hospital where I work several weeks ago... but the logistics are difficult for them to figure out. You didn't offend me. You twisted my meaning.

You don't know me, so you don't know whether I am healthy or not. And you certainly don't know whether I think of the ill or not because you have no clue about me.

Placebo effect for the sake of "feeling" safe often puts the unhealthy in danger. It doesn't help them.

I was referring to specifically hypochondriacs (in other words, people who aren't sick.) Again, you twisted my meaning.

If someone wants to wear a mask, whether justified or not, is none of my business. It's my business when mass psychosis takes over such that people slap a mask on me.

All it took to convince me was the now-famous photo of him at a baseball game, maskless and elbow-to-elbow with a friend, last year.

If he and his whole caste of stormtroopers truly believed this was the Black Death Incarnate, they would do ANYTHING to protect themselves from the death sentence that is COVID, take ANY measure no matter how uncomfortable to not be accused of the most heinous, immoral, and evil of crimes- having the audacity to be "selfish" enough not to live under unlawful restrictions on basic human life.

You'd see Fauci and Rochelle "Impending Doom" Walenski and Teresa "Take Their Drivers Licenses" Tam walking around in Tyvex bunny suits, living in safe rooms.

If they were telling us the truth, they'd act as afraid as they want us to be. But they don't. So they're not. It's really that simple.

I love that Adam Carolla refers to Walenski as "that gypsy lady" because all she talks about are her feelings and predictions.

Was the maskless Obama birthday party a tipping point?

I said Fuck This when Gavin partied at the French Laundry here CA. That was *one* of my tipping points.

My personal point was when the 'leaders' explained that massive rioting across the country was not only safe, but SO IMPORTANT that covid was secondary.

If covid is over for rioters, it's over for everybody.

My tipping point was the Chinese guy doing his fake scissor kick in a staged video. Around March 15, 2020.

How do any of you people support this mass gathering without masks? Shame on you all. Don't you care about your fellow man? Don't you realize that if it's not a BLM protest covid will be there and spread LOL

Stay inside, lock your door and wear a mask. You’ll feel better. Don’t lay your fear on us.

The only person wearing a mask in this celebration video is the reporter, they have to keep up the masquerade to the point of being completely foolish.

I changed the screen on one of my doors yesterday and fashioned a mask out of the old one. I will be going shopping massless today with the screen mask in my pocket in case some mask nazi wants me to wear one. I will oblige and record the reaction…

Love it! We went to Disney World last year, and I wore a mesh mask. Nobody said a word. I was ready with a backup mask, and the knowledge that if I put on a regular cloth mask, I'd probably immediately puke on whoever made me put it on (I was pregnant at the time, and masks instantly made my morning sickness 1,000x worse). 😂

I'm in Dallas. A few months ago when our creepy little cyborg county commissioner (Clay Jenkins) reinstated mask mandates after months without one I told myself no. I never wear a mask here. Not one single comment to me yet. I intentionally go speak to the manager at the supermarket to ask a silly question and still not a word. I'll wear it on a plane/airport but....Fuck Joe Biden!

We gloried in A&M’s hard fought win against magnificent Alabama, and while watching the game we noted NOT ONE mask worn by anyone we saw while scanning the 106,000+ people, shoulder-to-shoulder, in the stands —,and the reporters questioning both coaches during half-time and after wore no masks and neither did the coaches nor anyone on either sideline. The “Giant” is speaking, loud and clear.
