I went to a game last week. 85,000 in attendance, nary a mask in sight. The atmosphere was ELECTRIC. Few things have given me more hope of someday returning to normalcy. If it wasn’t for the neurotic power grabbers at the top of the food chain, we probably would’ve been there long ago—many (maybe even most) are ready to be done with this nonsense.
The Let’s Go Brandon thing is the greatest thing ever. 1. I very much want to express the sentiment in re Biden 2. I don’t want to be uncouth 3. I want to show kinship w likeminded citizens 4. I want the clueless political opposition to leave me the hell alone (most are clueless abt what LGB means). It’s utterly perfect.
In the South, we are done with WuFlu. And have been for at least a year. We don’t mask. We don’t distance. And we’re sure as hell not scared. So eat that Falsi (sic)!
But will is spread to the coastal enclaves? Either way, allowing sports this year ensured the media / state's downfall in middle America. Underestimating the "deplorables" backfires again.

A scheme that is designed to protect us from a deadly virus should apply to everyone equally, or to no one at all. But certain groups are excluded from obeying it, such as police officers, local authority staff, diplomats, civil servants and politicians.
It becomes clear that vaccine passports exist not for public health reasons but for control reasons, and as usual it's the plebs who the ruling class seek to control.

I was there, not just for the game but touring the campus all the previous day. At the game, I didn't see one mask. On campus generally, maybe one person in 10-20 wore one. This is a non-trivial factor in my son's choice of college. At some scools,, like A&M, life has returned to normal. My two high-school kids, who have had COVID and can prove it, are being actively discriminated against by some of their teachers for not being vaccinated, but at least there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

We gloried in A&M’s hard fought win against magnificent Alabama, and while watching the game we noted NOT ONE mask worn by anyone we saw while scanning the 106,000+ people, shoulder-to-shoulder, in the stands —,and the reporters questioning both coaches during half-time and after wore no masks and neither did the coaches nor anyone on either sideline. The “Giant” is speaking, loud and clear.
