Just an FYI, there's no longer a "tetanus" shot in the U.S. It only comes in the Tdap which includes both diphtheria and acellular pertussis, or Td which contains tetanus and diphtheria.

I have never taken a single flu shot and never will. I'm 62....their target demographic. Not taking the shingles vaxx. Not taking the pnuemococcal pneumonia jab. Never took the COVID...how did I ever survive????
I'm also in my 60s. I got the flu shot once because my granddaughter was 6 months old and since she hadn't had all her shots yet my daughter was afraid I would make the baby sick. Six weeks later I ended up with the flu and double ear infections so bad that I lost my hearing for about a month. That was the first and last time for me.
Shingles is a break through of herpes left over from a chicken pox infection in childhood. It's a function of immunity. The only people I know personally who developed shingles were not healthy...both were alcoholics. Recrudescence of herpes virus is brought on by physical or other stressors. We see the same thing in cats--herpes in cats are upper respiratory infection....and often come back during stress.
Shingles is the only vaccine I think everybody should get. My grandmother got shingles at 78 and my father in law at 95. They were both very active. Lived alone, drove. My grandmother played golf every week without a cart. Ran up and down the three levels of her house. Took on Coscto like a champ. She said it was the worst pain she had ever had and she had a radical mastectomy in 1961 and an obstructed bowel in 1972. She never recovered her strength after shingles. She was a shell and died two years later. The never pain never went away. My father-in-law got it during the pandemic. He was in Hawaii and suffered terribly. We took the COVID shot so we could go care for him as he was alone and even though I wrote to the governor for an exception we were denied. His friends were afraid to see him because of COVID. He suffered terrible pain. Tried CBD, opioids. Not gabapentin because I knew that was useless junk medicine. He never regained his strength. Spent the last two and half years trying to find a comfortable position on the couch. Never drove or cooked or worked in his yard again. Only left the house to see the doctor. Before that he went to his local coffee shop every morning with friends. He grew and sold orchids. Grew vegetables and ti leaves for the whole neighborhood. Made birdhouses. Did his own shopping and cooking. Kept an immaculate house. Hung his laundry out to dry. Ironed his shirts and showered twice a day. I would not wish shingles on anyone, but especially an elderly person. I knew a couple of men who got it in the 80s during the AIDS epidemic but they were younger and also dealing with AIDS. But elderly people have a hard time coming back from it.
It makes absolutely no sense, but when you have regulatory capture, this is one of the consequences. Of course when you have a centralized bureaucracy that is given the government imprimatur of honesty and reliability, it demonstrates the perils of an immense government.

They may not be terribly effective, but to the extent they do anything positive there is little risk with them even if they don't.
Now that they are pushing mRNA flu shots, I have to reconsider. Frankly, even if they tell me that they are not putting mRNA into my arms and show me the bottle, I'm not sure I would trust even that. If the FDA can approve this shot, this calls into question all of their other approvals even for long term traditional shots.
I was damaged by the COVID mRNA shot as was my mother (Myocarditis for me, Supra Ventricular Tachycardia for her). I will never allow another mRNA into my body and now that the FDA seems to be completely compromised, I'm not sure I can trust anything they say at all.

I took the traditional recombinant and inactivated platforms for 40 plus years as it was required to work in a hospital nursery. Essentially no adverse effect. I've observed scores of nursing students receive the above for 40 plus years w/o adverse effects. But we draw the line at an MRNa injection, hard stop.

It’s maddening the power they have on medications. Needing to get a prior authorization for a drug your doctor prescribes is a joke. You could be taking a medication for years and they still require you get an authorization from said Dr. every six months. All it’s doing is creating a block or delay to get a medication. Should they deny it then you pay out of pocket. Remember these people have zero education in healthcare. They don’t know why you take the medication and equally don’t care. It’s all a numbers game for a middleman in the industry.
