Apple provides flags so you can tag emails. It is easy to flag emails by mistake. https://support.apple.com/guide/mail/flag-emails-mlhlp1052/mac

You seem to be missing the point. No, I did NOT flag the email, nor is it "easy" to flag emails by mistake the way my Apple emails are set up on my Mac. Not once in all the years I've been using Apple mail has an email been flagged, accidentally or otherwise. Believe me, I am fully aware how Apple mail works. In fact, this Kirsch email was the very first email that was awarded its very own "flagged" mailbox directly under the regular inbox.

Didn't mean to upset you. You are entitled to a different opinion and a different experience. I have flagged emails many times by mistake, but not once has Apple automatically flagged any of my emails, including from Alex. Best to you.

Not sure why you are so intent on arguing with me. I've never flagged any emails by mistake -- it's very difficult to so so as I'd have to go to the dropdown menu and find the "flag" option. There's really no chance for an "accident." All emails land in my inbox, and occasionally in the Junk folder. Like I said, my emails from Alex are all coming through. But this flagged email which landed in a "Flagged" folder by itself is something totally new and alarming, and hopefully not a harbinger of things to come.

Seriously, I only made a side comment. It isn't important in the grand scheme of things. I'm moving on.
