I love that one !

Glad you like it - feel free to use it 'liberally', at no charge!

Here's another less obvious one - call them a 'drawoc'; read it backwards, and use it as a compliment (alas you have to wear a mask to do this, but you can punch a lot of invisible airholes in it with an icepick like I've been doing for some time - learned it from a friend's kid), as in:

"Wow, I'mpressed! you're a genuine drawoc! I'll bet your grandad (or great-grandad, as appropriate to the victim of hisserself), fought at Iwo Jima, Guadal Canal and Omaha Beach!

They'll beg you to tell them what a drawoc is, but don't give in, and refuse to spell it for them; just tell them they must be joshing you.

Yup, that's what we call an ID-10-T problem at work.

Sadly, it is mainly the millennial and younger age cohort that can't let this go. Does not bode well for the future.

The well adjusted ones can let it go and will procreate while the pampered chicken shits will hide in their cocoons and be eliminated from the gene pool. Doesn't sound so bad

I read somewhere that 1 in 4 people have not had sex in a year. I hope it is the Covidians but fear it is not just them. No sex, no procreation…

Thank you for sharing this - the bottomless suffering it captures really plucked at the heart strings of my cockles, wherever they're located - which has something to do with 'biology' which is only a social construct, of course; though I have to say that I found it rather more of an Anal than an Oral history.

I was particularly touched by the interviewee's concern about having a sufficient supply of toilet rolls. We can only hope that the Fourth Industrial Revolution (following the Great Reset, allowing us to Build Back Better) arrives sooner rather than later, ridding us once and for all of that messy oral and anal business (which has long plagued personkind, and ruined more than a few dinner parties and luncheons), as our DNA and RNA are finally fused with their superior A.I. equivalents, eliminating the embarrassing need for elimination, altogether.

What a brave and heroic entity the interviewee is, and how nobly their gendered self/selves has/have confronted and defeated everything that fate has thrown at them; now with their precious Chad, in the tender care of their birthing people.

I felt it all choking me up a bit, enough so that I had to pause my reading for a while, after empathizing with their alimentary struggles - what sentient entity could not do so? I'm sure that their organic fruits and vegetables were treated with great empathy and respect in their final hours.

Thank you again for your caring sharing of this sad but uplifting account - I am a better entity for having read it; though I think that their recovery would be hastened by replacing their source of protein (to which they admit) with insect life and larvae.

So, how do you know the size of my sample set? At my age I have a lot of acquaintances with millennial aged children. My own cousin told me just the other day that the extended family can't get together because "the young one's aren't eligible to be vaccinated yet." Who do you think is making that call? Not my cousin, his kids.

When my wife and I go out to a restaurant, it is always the young people who wear a mask until they are seated. I see young parents masking their kids at church.

Small sample set? I don't think so.

Expand full comment

Not exactly. I have taught for various schools for over 20 years stating at my first med school 16 or 17 years ago. No more and no less common in med schools than elsewhere. While mask use for source control is said to predate modern Japan, basically they adopted the custom with the Spanish flu and never gave it up. That said, until covid, never more than 2 or 3 in a class of say 40 students. The two biggest reasons for mask use in Japan was to protect against pollen for those of us afflicted with hay fever and for the ladies who were rushed and did not have time to do their make up in the morning. Japanese women will not even open the door unless they have their make up on.

They aren't paralyzed by fear. I'd guess that 99.9% of these young people:

1. Know that they're not at any real risk of COVID and never were.

2. Don't care, because the mask meets other needs.

They want to be seen as 'respectful' and 'caring', and they want everyone to know their virtue - in their mind, what they're doing does that perfectly. That's why these idiots are posting pictures of themselves wearing gas masks on Twitter. It's a heady combination of "I'm virtuous" and "I'm responsible and smart" and "I'm being victimized by the proles".

Basically these people are psychologically damaged goods indeed but not due to COVID misinformation. They were already damaged before this even began, by ideology and over-socalisation. You want to help these people, you do, but it's hard in the same way it's hard to help drug addicts. Trying to help them can be dangerous to the helper and it's going to be a long difficult slog. At some point you also have to know where the draw the line and just cut these people out of your life.

Some masked lunatics claim to have "compromised immune systems."

Really? Did it develop in the last two years? If not, so did you wear a mask BEFORE March 2020?

Expand full comment

Well, about 45% of Americans are obese, and we know they don't do as well if they get the 'ro, so you could say that almost half of Americans are "immunocompromised". And then there are those with a comorbidity. And those with inadequate Vitamin D levels etc etc. All things that make Covid outcomes worse. So in the end, almost everyone has at least some compromised immune system...and can claim victimhood special protection status. Better to get healthy physically, America!

I had to chuckle just a bit reading your post about not eating in restaurants, but for far different reasons than fear. A strange change came over me during the 6-mos. to a year (Floridians never really got into the "don't eat in restaurants" to the degree others, like N.Y. etc. did) of this. Out of boredom from not eating out as much as usual, I got into investigating new dishes, new ethnic dishes, etc. Won't bore those on here with all the details, but it developed into quite a hobby, I've always cooked and baked, but took it to a new level. I've always followed a fairly healthy diet, not organics but a lot of fresh, not prepared foods, but I did dine out a lot. The end result of all this has been I have lost a lot of interest in eating restaurant food, some places and dishes I enjoyed, now seem to taste of nothing but salt (??) and although I do dine out with friends, I have drastically cut that back simply because I realized I just don't enjoy it as much as I now do my own cooking ! Never thought that would happen...LOL !

Kyrie Irving did a great job showing the ridiculousness of the mandates.

Now if only Adams would realize that there is NO "science" in allowing people to sit shoulder-to-shoulder in an indoor arena BUT not in allowing them to work in cubicles or offices in private companies. Like... does his "Chief of Health" have some study that shows that entertainment employees have genetically better immune systems than other types of employees? ((SMH))

Nope. No sympathy. None. Did they have sympathy for people who couldn’t wear masks? Deaf people who read lips, autistic kids, people with (ironically) anxiety disorders or claustrophobia? No they did not. They forced masks on toddlers, set children back years, bullied and harassed and canceled anyone who disagreed FOR ANY REASON. Fine, I didn’t wear a mask because I’m not an idiot. You can not like me for that. But lip readers?? Autistic kids and toddlers on planes. Nope. No passes. None. I will not Karen them. But I will not have a single ounce of sympathy either.

There truly does need to be a reckoning of accountability for what was done to humanity in totality! Not ONE individual has yet to be held to account and we now enter April 2022. Not ONE! People must not forget what was done to them over these past few years...especially to the children, and what these same mongers will continue trying to implement. They must be ousted and held to REAL account!

Every time I start to feel bad for people like this, I then get angry. Why? Because my daughter, who is a surgical RN (she refused the shots and managed to get a religious exemption) has been through so much harassment, mistreatment and bullshit. And still, today, she has to wear a mask when jabbed employees don’t! The relentless masking has caused her to be ill with respiratory stuff for months on end. So, yeah. Lots of hate, resentment and anger here. I won’t apologize for it.

Why does your daughter have to wear a mask, when jabbed employees don't? The jabs don't prevent infection nor transmission, why are the jabbed treated differently? This whole diabolical mess has to be blown up right now, and splatter all over the evil people responsible.

This is common among the jab obsessed employers. I work for ATT, if your not jabbed and got an exemption you have to double mask…jabbed no masks…if you live in Tennessee where they passed a law against disclosing your vaccine status, they sent out an email, since we can’t force people to give us vaccine status, everyone must be masked…it’s fucking insanity and AT&T is a woke hellhole of a company.

I was invited to lecture last week at a large, public University in the southern United States, in what we would call one of the more "free states". This University has no mask-mandate of any kind (the only reason I agreed to go). About half the people in the room were masked. There was no discrimination… masked and unmasked mingled freely (and eventually went out to dinner together, although we did have to dine outside, and it was quite cold). In my own classes (in a now mask-optional Southern University) about 80% of my students are maskless. The masked ones don't seem to mind my maskless state. It will clearly take years to unwind all of this.

Expand full comment

At a college that just went maskless last week - at last - faculty can request students to wear masks (the majority don't want students maskless). The hope was because it's a service oriented school with students who "care" that they will comply.

A friend who teaches there put out a survey to his students to guage where they were at with their comfort level with him not wearing a mask (to be clear, he wasn't going to wear it). Out of approx 50 students, 2 indicated they wanted him to wear it, the rest either indicated they didn't care or don't wear it.

Gives me hope!

I think it is telling that our administration had to tell the faculty that they could _not_ demand that students wear masks, and they could _not_ take their classes “online” based on the change of policy. I am not proud of my profession.

Expand full comment

"Faculty can request students to wear masks"

Ridiculous. If Fatty McProfessor is afraid, he should teach over zoom, he had the last two years to lose that extra 60 pounds.

Expand full comment

The edict is no teaching online. If someone needs to teach online for 2 consecutive class periods they need permission from the dean and provost, as the university is committed to in-person learning (remote for 2.5 semesters). Suspect 1 strong reason for the commitment is because they need students on campus, in dorms - this is where the majority of income comes from, and unhappy "customers".

The fear indoctrination was/is strong in our red state - first to lock down (most likely because Wuhan is a "sister" city with much travel back and forth), early mask mandates - businesses were supposed to enforce on employees and customers, curfews attempting to come out of lockdowns (think we were among the last to total freedom), businesses and venues shut down many, many months, daily press conferences by our governor and guests for months including the weekends, etc. This is a republican state with a republican governor. His goal was to save lives....crickets on early treatment...only the 1 trick pony v solution - and we were the first state to have million dollar coercion bribing lotteries for adults and fully paid college tuition bribes for the kids (so really the parents). Totally disgusting.

Agreed. People have been psychologically damaged by this, in my opinion. I live in southern CA, and see people walking alone outdoors with no one around, or driving alone with the windows up, wearing a mask.

...and my 26 year old unvaccinated son can't change jobs because while companies are dropping mandates for employees, they are requiring it for new hires. Even if the company never had a mandate, it's the new requirement. So if we think this madness is over, it's not. Companies are simply mandating it in a different way, one that can't be controlled. See, now you have a choice-vaccinate to get hired out don't get hired.

Let me tell you how Covid panic porn broke our local hospital. Among other maladies directly resulting from the Moderna shots, husband ended up with myocarditis. He's been monitored by a cardiologist because of it. I have gone to all of his appointments with him except for his carotid Doppler imaging. I was there when he was hospitalized, dr appointments which are in the hospital, all of it. Showed up Thursday and they wouldn't let me in because I'm not vaccinated! AFTER ALL THIS TIME!!!! He nearly took the monitor off and told them to go pound salt but I convinced him to see the NP to go over the evidence of a cardiac event he had. The NP ended up coming out to talk to me- me, the rebel without a mask or 'vaccine'. It was a class act on her part.- and told me his condition is worrisome. He now needs a more invasive procedure to continue monitoring him. Like the receptionist, she apologized and blamed the hospital, from whom they rent space, for the policy. I was at my very busy local orthopedic place just the day before and no masks anywhere (except for the 30something woman and her poor 7 year old daughter). Dermatologist? (Yes, busy dr week) Signs everywhere about masks and you have to be vaccinated if you want a procedure done. I had mine off when he walked into the room so he took his off, too. He's on the same page as we are. I think it's his partner that's the paranoid one. Simply unreal, peeps.

I said from day 1, about a 1/4 of population is gone. They can think of nothing else but virus. Even if told today that masks absolutely without any doubt do not work, they would wear them forever. They fear dying. They believe the mask will prevent that forever. The masks make them different, like men wearing nail polish and believing they are female. They will never ever believe the virus is not lethal to most. That scant possibility is all they need to mask up like crazy folks. Really awful to see. Fortunately where I live I see none of this.

I personally find the masked sickos (sorry, that's what they are at this point) extremely disturbing, not only because of the aggressive attacks I suffered from so many of them in 2020 (and still occasionally even now), but because they are continuing this psychological nightmare, shredding the fabric of society, and especially endangering the mental and physical health of our children by pushing the idea that these useless and harmful, even dangerous, devices are something needed for health. I have absolutely no patience with them and certainly won't be guilted into feeling sorry for them.
