Funny story: On Tuesday the Times wrote about how Republicans are calling Democrats soft on crime, and Democrats are responding by calling Republicans racist (because, you know, pointing out that crime has risen is racist).
Amazingly, the story actually admitted (about 10 paragraphs in, but still) that crime has risen and that “legitimate policy differences have emerged.”
Okay, fine. And this was the article’s headline (briefly): As Republican Campaigns Seize on Crime, Racism Becomes a New Battlefront.
Which reasonably captured the reality of what’s happening - Republicans are talking about crime, Democrats are saying they are racist to do so. You the reader can agree with either side, but those are the facts.
Alas. That headline was too accurate and non-partisan for the place I used to work, and so the Times “fixed” the headline, to leave no doubt of the villain here.

So ... in my local state house race in Arizona, there's a black Republican running. The Democrats just sent out a hit piece against him because he had once been arrested for assault. (And honestly, how can the Democrats NOT talk about crime? Every police department is struggling, my city police in a purple state is grossly understaffed, fentanyl deaths have exploded -- my cousin, a paramedic, had FOUR fentanyl deaths in her medium-sized northern California town during her last 24 hour shift. Border towns are suffering. I saw a poll that 40%+ hispanic voters are voting Republican. I am not surprised. They are angry about education and crime.)
I have searched the NY Times on its site as well as with the Google site search operator for and it seems the Times doesn’t see the NY State court’s reversal of the city employee vaccine mandate as fit to print, I can’t find anything about it. Many other news sources covered it, even Huffington Post (it’s clickbait for them, but I guess Times readers would get the vapors).
Stop calling them "journalists" Alex. If you want to see journalism, go to substack. These guys and gals at the Times are nothing but activists without any ability to think for themselves. They just keep repeating the same narrative over and over again.

Last desperate gasp before the hammer falls. It was NY State's Hochul who let the quiet part slip aloud when she responded to her opponent, Lee Zeldin.
Infused in her response to his crime focus and zero cash bail concern, Hochul now infamously said, "I don't know why that's so important to you."
The absolute arrogance and condescending attitude is beyond anything back in New York City's bad days in the late 70s and 80s. Is it enough to see her jettisoned? Hope so but the NYC election machine may have many busloads of people running around to election polling stations "getting out the vote" re: it's the same vote being cast many times. That's a Dem Machine staple, one that was used recently when Eric Adams vied to win as mayor.

And if you complain about any of the names they call you, they cry to the moderator to cancel you.
What's most amazing is they respond this way when they know they have been bested, meaning its amazing how they basically admit they are so wrong on so many issues !!!
The problem is that about 40% of the country exhibits this form of mental illness on a regular basis. When there is that much division on issues that are so easily understood through logic that one side cannot even debate against them, a democratic republic cannot survive, because such a form of government depends on compromise which is impossible if a major faction refuses to even discuss.
