I write this bereft. A dear friend just died. I have a picture of him from exactly one year ago. He looked fantastic. He had a "condition" but it was manageable. Many, many jabs. Exactly 365 days later he was on oxygen 24/7. But: I gave up trying to tell any true believers anything. It's out of the question. They will go to their graves praising the mRNA "vaccines." Will there be an end to this madness?
We should be reading them the riot act so they are shamed! into telling the truth , even if it is to help others. The fact that we are enabling them and coddling their delicate " feelings" is making matters much worse.

I look at this way. Most people have spent some time thinking about all this and came to their conclusions. I have, as well. I tried to weigh the information out there as well as my risk factors. I tried to avoid wishful thinking -- that is to say that I wasn't so sure that I should avoid all precautions. I did not want someone browbeating me to change my mind. And I offer them the same respect.

Fear can do funny things to people. Add to it that official sources could not be trusted. Clearly Fauci either lied when he first told us the masks were useless or when he said we must mask.

I disagree with your take on Dr Malhotra — one of the most outspoken critics of the widespread use of statin drugs. He took immense heat for that from the establishment. I’ve listened to his interviews re his Covid U turn and he simply does not come across as an egomaniac at all.
Frankly I am surprised that physicians have not committed suicide after killing so many people and giving them VAIDS etc.

A woman in her 80s told me the other day she has had 5 shots and recently had covid but it was very mild. "That's what the vaccine is supposed to do." she told me. "If I hadn't had the vaccine and the boosters, I would have ended up in the hospital or dead." Another person told me that the covid vaccine is like the flu "vaccine", you have to get it every year because the virus changes like the flu does. I tried to explain that flu shots can be anywhere from 30% effective to 80% effective depending on which strains scientists tailor the shot to by guessing which strains will be most prevalent that year. He then claimed that even if you got the flu the shot made it more mild like the covid vax. People are so undereducated about vaccines and flu shots. They're driven by fear. Their doctors told them what to do and why would you have a doctor if you don't follow his advice. It's based on "The Science". I've found most who are vaccinated can't be convinced that the shots don't actually do anything.

My 70 year old brother had prostate cancer and surgery at age 53. He was initially frightened into getting the covid vaccines because of that. I believe he has had the initial two and perhaps one booster. So far I think he's fine. He won't openly discuss it, though. As for me, I have celiac disease, which is an autoimmune condition. When I first started reading about the mRNA vaccines to come back in 2020 and the possible autoimmune problems from them, due to my celiac disease I was immediately against them for myself and that's when I started reading everything I could about it all. I'm actually grateful for that, because it kept me skeptical about the vaccines from that point on. However, both my brothers and their wives and all their children got them, as did my brother in law and his wife, and my sister in law. Only me, my husband, my two adult children and 2 of my 3 grandkids refused the jabs...thank goodness, and we've all remained well and healthy as a result, I'm convinced of that.
So far it seems none of my siblings and extended family have experienced any ill effects that they'll admit to....yet, although several of them admitted to being very sick after their second jabs. I don't know about their state of belief at this point, but I do know that not one of them is getting further jabs, so that would at least indicate they have become wary of them. My covid fanatic sister in law recently said "I've had enough" as her own reason for not getting the latest jab. However, no one discusses it and I don't bring it up either.
My point, which I guess wasn't clear, is that maybe people don't want to know the truth, and because of that we're not talking about the dangers of the vaccines. My uncle (80) blames me because my mom (78) didn't get the jab. He is worried that she'll get COVID and die because she's not vaccinated. He has had 4 shots and has had COVID twice since, but literally believes he didn't die because of the shots.
I think you underestimate how hard it is to admit making a mistake, especially in a judgmental culture like ours. And many vax sceptics are out for blood too, hardly making it easier to admit that the vax was a mistake. We should make it easy for people to change their minds and we should welcome them home to truth with congratulations rather than attacks.
Until I met a spiritual teacher who pointed out that the only way to learn was to make mistakes, and that people who are never mistaken never push the boundaries of their knowledge -- until I met this teacher I suspect I was just as resistent to seeing my mistakes as anyone.

I agree on "is it a legit" play at this point knowing what has become known in the aftermath of injections. Have said early on after Trump announced OWS in May of 2020 it could come back to haunt him. Has not yet in any meaningful way, but it could. Trump was out of office by time the vaxx hit the market. How he would have behaved if he were still in office is a matter of speculation. Considering his attitude about the vaxx, which he held until sometime in mid 2023 when it became obvious that it was not a good political talking point (so now he stays quiet), I would not have put it past him to go the same way the Biden admin did. He was, and apparently still is, proud of his Operation Warp Speed. He not only encouraged everyone to get the vaccine right through 2022, but did so with enthusiasm and without reservation. He has never admitted that his role in the vaccine was a mistake. His leadership on Covid was an utter failure.
I don't understand Trump's continuing apparent support of the vaccine fiasco. I think he was coerced and misled and lied to, but Scott Atlas definitely enlightened him and he seemed to not take Atlas' warnings seriously enough for some reason I'd like to know about.

So I made an appointment last month and went to the one who treated my late father[z"l] when he was in a nursing home 20 years ago. His specialty is treating geriatric patients so he sounded like just the right doctor for a 73 year old like me. I could not have been more wrong. Although I could not gainsay his competence in running me through the standard battery of tests for new patients, once I saw him and his assistant all masked up, my confidence level in him dropped precipitously. Before I return to the physician marketplace and entertain choosing another doctor, I plan to ask whether the doctor in question wears a mask in the presence of his patients. Or expects me to put one on when I walk in the door. Pockets of insanity remain extant among us. This gentleman you wrote about is proof of that.

A vaxxed and twice boosted guy - younger, runner - had caught Covid twice. Also, ended up in the hospital with horrible blood clots after the second booster.
He suspected that the booster might have been the source of the blood clots. When he mentioned that suspicion to his friends, some of them excommunicated him from the Church of the Virtuous Vaxxed.
His question was whether to get the most recent booster. Of course, Scocca said "Yes. Always protect yourself against Covid." As dumb as that question is (the vax failed him twice, he ended up in the hospital, and as a younger, active guy he is at no risk of serious disease), Scocca's answer is even dumber. I disagree with your take on Dr Malhotra — one of the most outspoken critics of the widespread use of statin drugs. He took immense heat for that from the establishment. I’ve listened to his interviews re his Covid U turn and he simply does not come across as an egomaniac at all.

Another person told me that the covid vaccine is like the flu "vaccine", you have to get it every year because the virus changes like the flu does. I tried to explain that flu shots can be anywhere from 30% effective to 80% effective depending on which strains scientists tailor the shot to by guessing which strains will be most prevalent that year. He then claimed that even if you got the flu the shot made it more mild like the covid vax. People are so undereducated about vaccines and flu shots. They're driven by fear. Their doctors told them what to do and why would you have a doctor if you don't follow his advice. It's based on "The Science". I've found most who are vaccinated can't be convinced that the shots don't actually do anything.

My 70 year old brother had prostate cancer and surgery at age 53. He was initially frightened into getting the covid vaccines because of that. I believe he has had the initial two and perhaps one booster. So far I think he's fine. He won't openly discuss it, though. As for me, I have celiac disease, which is an autoimmune condition. When I first started reading about the mRNA vaccines to come back in 2020 and the possible autoimmune problems from them, due to my celiac disease I was immediately against them for myself and that's when I started reading everything I could about it all. I'm actually grateful for that, because it kept me skeptical about the vaccines from that point on. However, both my brothers and their wives and all their children got them, as did my brother in law and his wife, and my sister in law. Only me, my husband, my two adult children and 2 of my 3 grandkids refused the jabs...thank goodness, and we've all remained well and healthy as a result, I'm convinced of that.
So far it seems none of my siblings and extended family have experienced any ill effects that they'll admit to....yet, although several of them admitted to being very sick after their second jabs. I don't know about their state of belief at this point, but I do know that not one of them is getting further jabs, so that would at least indicate they have become wary of them. My covid fanatic sister in law recently said "I've had enough" as her own reason for not getting the latest jab. However, no one discusses it and I don't bring it up either.

My point, which I guess wasn't clear, is that maybe people don't want to know the truth, and because of that we're not talking about the dangers of the vaccines. My uncle (80) blames me because my mom (78) didn't get the jab. He is worried that she'll get COVID and die because she's not vaccinated. He has had 4 shots and has had COVID twice since, but literally believes he didn't die because of the shots.
I think you underestimate how hard it is to admit making a mistake, especially in a judgmental culture like ours. And many vax sceptics are out for blood too, hardly making it easier to admit that the vax was a mistake. We should make it easy for people to change their minds and we should welcome them home to truth with congratulations rather than attacks.
Until I met a spiritual teacher who pointed out that the only way to learn was to make mistakes, and that people who are never mistaken never push the boundaries of their knowledge -- until I met this teacher I suspect I was just as resistent to seeing my mistakes as anyone.

I agree on "is it a legit" play at this point knowing what has become known in the aftermath of injections. Have said early on after Trump announced OWS in May of 2020 it could come back to haunt him. Has not yet in any meaningful way, but it could. Amazing to me how he still touts OWS as something wonderful, and does not take a stance on what we all know of the injections now. Trump was out of office by time the vaxx hit the market. How he would have behaved if he were still in office is a matter of speculation. Considering his attitude about the vaxx, which he held until sometime in mid 2023 when it became obvious that it was not a good political talking point (so now he stays quiet), I would not have put it past him to go the same way the Biden admin did. His specialty is treating geriatric patients so he sounded like just the right doctor for a 73 year old like me. I could not have been more wrong. Although I could not gainsay his competence in running me through the standard battery of tests for new patients, once I saw him and his assistant all masked up, my confidence level in him dropped precipitously. Before I return to the physician marketplace and entertain choosing another doctor, I plan to ask whether the doctor in question wears a mask in the presence of his patients. Or expects me to put one on when I walk in the door. Pockets of insanity remain extant among us. This gentleman you wrote about is proof of that.
If only the rest of us had stayed masked, continued lockdown, and gotten all the jabs, then Scocca might still have escaped his terrible Omicron infection. Mea culpa!
Bad for Tom. I checked out his Substack "Indignity" after seeing your tweet two days ago. One of his early September posts was an advice question. A vaxxed and twice boosted guy - younger, runner - had caught Covid twice. Also, ended up in the hospital with horrible blood clots after the second booster.
He suspected that the booster might have been the source of the blood clots. When he mentioned that suspicion to his friends, some of them excommunicated him from the Church of the Virtuous Vaxxed.
His question was whether to get the most recent booster. Of course, Scocca said "Yes. Always protect yourself against Covid." As dumb as that question is (the vax failed him twice, he ended up in the hospital, and as a younger, active guy he is at no risk of serious disease), Scocca's answer is even dumber. so the virtuous vaxxed excommunicate a fellow vaxxed if they even start to wonder.....that should make it clear that suggestions from the unvaxxed are totally unwelcome and cause for excommunication
