it's unbelievable that people are willing to toss aside their family for a political agenda. in the olden days (2019) if you were sick with flu, you might have expected your nearby relatives to show up with chicken soup. now they shun you and feel justified in reporting you to the covid police and will be proud if they are responsible for getting you fired from your job.
where have we seen this before? Stalinist Russia? Maoist China? not a good look.
i'd tell them that i wasn't interested in seeing them, since they could easily be infectious, having relied on vaccines that don't actually work. i would preemptively lay the ground rules for entry into my house, which would certainly involve a rapid antigen test. honestly i have no faith in the tests; i just wanted to make them do something to prove their worthiness for entry.
of course, this is easier said then done. in my case, it was a job and there was no familial love involved, although familial love seems to be the biggest casualty of the covid pandemic
