It is super sad to read these stories of my beloved San Francisco. I was born in the City by the Bay in the 1960's and was raised just north over the Golden Gate bridge (1960's-1970's). It was a magical time in a magical place. It was filled with working class families. It was safe, and I grew up having a lot of freedom.

One thing that happened here in VA is that in 2020, only 20% of poll watcher positions were filled. This November 80% of poll watcher positions were filled. That stopped the dems even in places like Loudon County from stuffing the ballot boxes as they usually do.

I was late getting to the voting center the night of the recall election. Pulled into the very small community center (smaller than the one usually used during elections in my area). No parking and a huge line. Saw voters that I never really see when I go to vote: young and white. I knew then it wasn't worth my time to find someplace to park and then wait the hour before the polls closed to try and get my vote in. I grew up with my entire family voting Democrat only, primary ly based upon retirement needs, Medicare, Medicaid that was all they cared about and still do and have not learned they have been wrong all these yrs. One thing that happened here in VA is that in 2020, only 20% of poll watcher positions were filled. This November 80% of poll watcher positions were filled. That stopped the dems even in places like Loudon County from stuffing the ballot boxes as they usually do.
Campaigning is useless if the polling places aren't watched closely.

I was late getting to the voting center the night of the recall election. Pulled into the very small community center (smaller than the one usually used during elections in my area). No parking and a huge line. Saw voters that I never really see when I go to vote: young and white. I knew then it wasn't worth my time to find someplace to park and then wait the hour before the polls closed to try and get my vote in. The empty-headed liberal Californians had turned out in droves, not so much to vote for Newsom but to repudiate, once again, Donald Trump and all who supported him. Places like California, Illinois, New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts will never change regardless of how obvious it is that their states are being driven into ruin.
