I was confronted with taking the vax for my job. I spent 4 months wondering if I would be fired. I got a religious exemption and if that didn’t work I would never let a job ruin my health. No job is worth it. Perhaps your more upset with the airlines forcing your son to risk his life than me expressing freedom of speech.

So as you can see, the vaccine is safe and it works because if it didn't work, Biden would probably be dead. Me - my vaccine of choice is Guinness. It is very effective and has kept me safe for the last 2 1/2 years. So I think everyone should take it; it's highly recommended. And the data will not be hidden. Just limit your intake to 3 pints daily.

I think the problem is people are so angry over this issue that its hard to relax enough to see humour. As for sarcasm, well, about 10 years ago, I made a promise to myself to never make any more jokes of logical extremes. That "something else" is probably climate change or systemic racism. Fact is, I'm just not sure what's causing the spike in LT disability and all-cause mortality. What would help is if we had another "15 days to slow the spread" so that we don't overwhelm the hospital system. That way we could flatten the curve and go back to our normal lives. But this time, it would just be 15 days and not let it drag on for 2 years. If we all wear a mask, we can beat this thing. I would add that I'm not Roman Catholic and so my opinion is just that. I have no personal authority to stand on here. I simply respect the history and tradition of Catholicism- warts and all. Losing experienced (and unvaccinated) pilots and replacing them with inexperienced (and vaccinated) pilots doesn't seem like a path to things getting better, ever. My biggest fear now when I get on a plane is that one or both pilots will suddenly keel over in mid-flight, thanks to a stroke, heart attack, blood clot or [insert random COVID-shot side effect here].

The airlines and the FAA have been crying the blues for years that they do not have enough pilots. So what do these clowns do, they mandate experimental vaccines on their pilots! You can't fix stupid!
A number of airline pilots could not afford to lose their careers so they had to take the jab---but no boosters. How's this: A friend with diabetes died at age 62, after suffering a stroke and living in a nursing home for 5 years. Her husband was 63; they had a handicapped child. After her death, the insurance company took their house and her husband's retirement account. Wiped them out.
Her brother built an "in-law" apartment onto his house, so my friend's husband and son would have a place to live.
And that's just one insurance horror story. I hate insurance companies.

The insurance industry is an arm of the government. I went on social security a few months ago. I started getting mail and phone calls from my advantage plan provider offering a “free” in-home health assessment. No way is some government sponsored busybody coming in my home to evaluate me.

Good point. Although I agree with your premise, let’s not forget that if those three additional claims were caused by vaccine damage, it is a travesty for those pilots. They lost their livelihood because they were forced to take an experimental concoction for a virus with almost zero lethality. They lost their health and a high paying job which took years of training to attain for nothing.
Thank God I got the religious exemption. My employer fought it for as long as they could though. I have flown with so many guys that have vaccine remorse.
That’s probably the goal, along with the endless horror stories this summer about how bad it is to fly. Not saying it’s good right now, but I also suspect there’s an agenda to get people out of the habit of traveling. We’re going back to the Middle Ages where most people never left the village they were born in 🙄.

All kinds of issues come out of never traveling - not the least of which is that it’s easier to demonize the “other.” I don’t agree that our country sucks compared to others - especially after Covid and the Australian/Canadian crackdown. That truly shocked me. And as much as I love Western Europe - similar issues. Covid reignited my passion for the USA as many problems as we have.
Keep yourself healthy. Now is the time to drop the weight, stop the cigarettes, train your body to eat healthy. There are going to be less doctors & nurses to take care of you in hospitals. Be prepared for 6,8,10 hr waits in the ED as the wait backups because the floors are full, the ED is full and everywhere there are less personnel to assist. Flu season is coming and with the immuno-suppressive effects the vaccine is showing there will be long waits.

I work for a major Helicopter EMS company and there seem to be more out of service days. I will definitely see if there are any hard numbers associated.
Early July we received a notice from our LTC insurance (Genworth) that our premium is scheduled to increase by 51.9%! They explained their decision to increase is primarily because the projected level of claims "on this block of business are higher than expected." Mind you, we are in our 50s. They further explained their proposed premium rate hike was 65.1%, but the state corporation commission kept it at 51.9% at this time. UGH!!! We are all paying for this.
I was just talking to a friend who works in the kitchen of a big hospital. Her husband and son also work there. Of course, it requires the spikeshot of all employees and will not accept any kind of exemption (they really tried). They are constantly having to work overtime and extra days due to short-staffing because of the huge numbers of people on medical leave and who daily call in sick. I asked her why she thought that was but got an evasive answer. I'll bring it up with her again the next time I see her. She's jabbed (against her will) and I wonder if that has made her unwilling to see what is happening around her.

Depending on the jurisdiction 15-25 percent of the workforce throughout the mandated health-care workforce in Canada is off sick. IMO, partly because of the high increases in cost to get one licensed in the past decade or so. (Unless you join the military, I guess). My son was recently accepted to Univ. of North Dakota ( a top school for pilots in the U.S.) and the cost for his 2 years needed (he did his first 2 years in a local community college to save some $) works out to over $75,000 per year, or over $150,000 for the 2 years needed. And that is not even including everything to fly large commercial jets. The "extra" flying fees for the required certificates are the killer. Of course, military recruitment is down also. As well as we lost many when the admin. changed and because of covid and/or vaccines. I know a young lady who quit after being trained as a fighter pilot to land jets on aircraft carriers, after she saw how the current admin. abandoned 9,000 Americans in Afganistan.

Airline pilot here. Unfortunately I have no access to the data, but there are quite a few coworkers who are out long term, and several are likely out for their career. We're talking guys in their 30s. I remain unvaxxed (never even taken a test) and there are more of us than you think.
As a toxicologist I find it insane that they are forcing mrna jabs on pilots. These shots cause significant blood clotting issues. If you're in the cockpit sitting on a long-haul flight with a cabin pressure of 6500 feet- the probability of a DVT or Pulmonary embolism are significant. One of my friends was an FAA certified medical examiner and quit doing exams on jabbed pilots. He did not think it was safe or ethical to certify them.
It depends on the airline. United absolutely required it. Few pilots there are unvaxxed. At my airline, it was left optional. I don't have firm data but a manager told me pilots here were around 55-60% jabbed. They couldn't ever make it mandatory for fear 40% of pilots (and 70% of mechanics) would walk. What's the total industry wide? No idea.
Not unless they shove the yoke or stick full forward or back with enough force the other pilot can't override it. I've seen a trainee let go of the controls and say "you've got it" at the 50 foot call! Still alive to talk about it!

I was confronted with taking the vax for my job. I spent 4 months wondering if I would be fired. I got a religious exemption and if that didn’t work I would never let a job ruin my health. So - LT disability claims COULDN'T POSSIBLY be due to the vaccine. It MUST be something else. You appear to be cerebral, well read, and "cool, calm and collected". What possible "something else's" could explain this material spike in claims.
That "something else" is probably climate change or systemic racism. Fact is, I'm just not sure what's causing the spike in LT disability and all-cause mortality. What would help is if we had another "15 days to slow the spread" so that we don't overwhelm the hospital system. That way we could flatten the curve and go back to our normal lives. But this time, it would just be 15 days and not let it drag on for 2 years. If we all wear a mask, we can beat this thing. Losing experienced (and unvaccinated) pilots and replacing them with inexperienced (and vaccinated) pilots doesn't seem like a path to things getting better, ever. My biggest fear now when I get on a plane is that one or both pilots will suddenly keel over in mid-flight, thanks to a stroke, heart attack, blood clot or [insert random COVID-shot side effect here].

Anyone thinking of flying should get a few lessons in where the radio switches are in the front cabin. There was a cool clip about how to land when everyone else is out of it somewhere, and getting on the phone to Air Traffic Control seemed to be the worst thing to figure out.

Okay well I'm a pilot (fixed wing and helicopter never flew for airlines) since 1973 and find this very disturbing. I am friends with a lot of airline pilots. They are really upset about this! The airlines and the FAA have been crying the blues for years that they do not have enough pilots. So what do these clowns do, they mandate experimental vaccines on their pilots! You can't fix stupid!
A number of airline pilots could not afford to lose their careers so they had to take the jab---but no boosters. In the case of the one I know, his wife found out what kinds of treatments he could take to somewhat mitigate the ghoulish jab. So far, so good, but they have seen a little something different in his system which they are pursuing. The bad thing is they cannot bring any suit so all costs associated are theirs. Fauci, Birx, and Biden should have to do time for this assault on the people of this republic.

In my experience, insurance companies are notorious for trying to avoid paying claims. Ironically, it may be the insurance companies that blow the lid off vax injuries, when they find out they are on the hook.

Meanwhile, costs to Americans who actually PAY for insurance coverage has gone up exponentially. And each passing year, more and more exclusions are no longer covered and cost more out-of-pocket. My last policy had the deductible equal to the annual policy payments--meaning the insurance company paid NOTHING until they'd pocketed twice the "cost" to me. What a friggin' racket.
How's this: A friend with diabetes died at age 62, after suffering a stroke and living in a nursing home for 5 years. Her husband was 63; they had a handicapped child. After her death, the insurance company took their house and her husband's retirement account. Wiped them out.
Her brother built an "in-law" apartment onto his house, so my friend's husband and son would have a place to live.
And that's just one insurance horror story. I hate insurance companies.

States comply with federally-regulated handout guidelines that would make your head spin. The insurance industry is an arm of the government. I went on social security a few months ago. I started getting mail and phone calls from my advantage plan provider offering a “free” in-home health assessment. No way is some government sponsored busybody coming in my home to evaluate me.

Sad, but very interesting. I wonder if the flight conditions put extra pressure on the vascular system and causes more clots. I had a client who was a frequent flyer who had a mini stroke, (before the pandemic). It was diagnosed as a likely result of the flights.
DVT can be exacerbated by flying so it seems plausible.
Also, pilots need to pass a more rigorous physical exam than your average worker. I was thinking that this was the cause of the pilot shortage, but it's good to get confirmation. I am concerned about our armed forces - they are still mandated as far as I know.

Good point. Although I agree with your premise, let’s not forget that if those three additional claims were caused by vaccine damage, it is a travesty for those pilots. They lost their livelihood because they were forced to take an experimental concoction for a virus with almost zero lethality. They lost their health and a high paying job which took years of training to attain for nothing.

Not saying it’s good right now, but I also suspect there’s an agenda to get people out of the habit of traveling. Keep yourself healthy. Now is the time to drop the weight, stop the cigarettes, train your body to eat healthy. There are going to be less doctors & nurses to take care of you in hospitals. Be prepared for 6,8,10 hr waits in the ED as the wait backups because the floors are full, the ED is full and everywhere there are less personnel to assist. They've collected dues from the members for all of these years, yet when the chips were down, they did not stand up for their members' right to bodily autonomy. I work for a major Helicopter EMS company and there seem to be more out of service days. I will definitely see if there are any hard numbers associated.
Early July we received a notice from our LTC insurance (Genworth) that our premium is scheduled to increase by 51.9%! They explained their decision to increase is primarily because the projected level of claims "on this block of business are higher than expected." Mind you, we are in our 50s. They further explained their proposed premium rate hike was 65.1%, but the state corporation commission kept it at 51.9% at this time. UGH!!! We are all paying for this.
I was just talking to a friend who works in the kitchen of a big hospital. Her husband and son also work there. Of course, it requires the spikeshot of all employees and will not accept any kind of exemption (they really tried). They are constantly having to work overtime and extra days due to short-staffing because of the huge numbers of people on medical leave and who daily call in sick. I asked her why she thought that was but got an evasive answer. I'll bring it up with her again the next time I see her. She's jabbed (against her will) and I wonder if that has made her unwilling to see what is happening around her.
Can anyone from the airline industry comment on the extent to which flight delays are being caused by pilot disability? There are lots of reasons for the flight delays we are seeing these days, and I am curious how much of this is from vax impacts.

Good time to become a pilot perhaps .... if you can stay unvaccinated and secure your health. Perhaps when this vaccination BS ends. Seems like a major shortage coming up. But, damn .... it is expensive these days. It seems pilots have been on the decline even prior to this mess, and now it is getting much worse. IMO, partly because of the high increases in cost to get one licensed in the past decade or so. (Unless you join the military, I guess). My son was recently accepted to Univ. of North Dakota ( a top school for pilots in the U.S.) and the cost for his 2 years needed (he did his first 2 years in a local community college to save some $) works out to over $75,000 per year, or over $150,000 for the 2 years needed. And that is not even including everything to fly large commercial jets. The "extra" flying fees for the required certificates are the killer. Of course, military recruitment is down also. As well as we lost many when the admin. changed and because of covid and/or vaccines. I know a young lady who quit after being trained as a fighter pilot to land jets on aircraft carriers, after she saw how the current admin. abandoned 9,000 Americans in Afganistan.

Your have to call out of work or they send you home sick because you can’t do your job. Now your employer tells you to figure out what’s going on with your health or file for disability. Good luck finding a Doctor that will link your health issue to the vaxx. Then you’ll be labeled a mental health problem.

Airline pilot here. Unfortunately I have no access to the data, but there are quite a few coworkers who are out long term, and several are likely out for their career. We're talking guys in their 30s. I remain unvaxxed (never even taken a test) and there are more of us than you think.
As a toxicologist I find it insane that they are forcing mrna jabs on pilots. These shots cause significant blood clotting issues. If you're in the cockpit sitting on a long-haul flight with a cabin pressure of 6500 feet- the probability of a DVT or Pulmonary embolism are significant. One of my friends was an FAA certified medical examiner and quit doing exams on jabbed pilots. He did not think it was safe or ethical to certify them.

It depends on the airline. United absolutely required it. Few pilots there are unvaxxed. At my airline, it was left optional. I don't have firm data but a manager told me pilots here were around 55-60% jabbed. They couldn't ever make it mandatory for fear 40% of pilots (and 70% of mechanics) would walk. What's the total industry wide? No idea.

As far as I am aware. I've not heard of anyone getting a shot in a long time and the company has been silent about them for the past 8 months.
