One of the strange things about this whole thing is that was the whole entire point of 'flattening the curve' and that was back when everyone thought the infection fatality rate was 3% and that 10% needed hospitalization -- and many of those survivors ended up with permanent lung damage. We thought 3% of the population was going to die and lots of people, including health officials, were like "Yeah you're going to get it at some point".
And yet...there was so much less fear and panic than there is today. It's perplexing because the less deadly we find out that covid is, the more fear and panic there seem to be. People functioned just fine without mask mandates the first few months, but when those were instated, if you were caught wearing one you were a pariah. Society managed to survive in spite of the crushing lockdowns without a vaccine, but as soon as a vaccine is introduced some people refuse to even talk to the unvaccinated. It makes no sense.

One of the strange things about this whole thing is that was the whole entire point of 'flattening the curve' and that was back when everyone thought the infection fatality rate was 3% and that 10% needed hospitalization -- and many of those survivors ended up with permanent lung damage. We thought 3% of the population was going to die and lots of people, including health officials, were like "Yeah you're going to get it at some point".
And yet...there was so much less fear and panic than there is today. It's perplexing because the less deadly we find out that covid is, the more fear and panic there seem to be. People functioned just fine without mask mandates the first few months, but when those were instated, if you were caught wearing one you were a pariah. Society managed to survive in spite of the crushing lockdowns without a vaccine, but as soon as a vaccine is introduced some people refuse to even talk to the unvaccinated. It makes no sense.
And all over the country, throughout the fall, football stadiums have been full of fans, squeezed together and screaming their lungs out, and ... no Covid spike! We've also had the Sturgis motorcycle rally in the Black Hills for two years now - around 500,000 people on top of each other for two weeks, and ... no Covid spikes, very few cases, less than a handful of Covid deaths!

Remember also - and I surely am not hoping this happens but it inevitably will - once a few high profile vaccinated people start succumbing to Covid, especially so if its someone like Fauci or another big Covid vaccine advocate, the masses will start accepting the truth that these vaxes do not protect anyone from the risks of contracting Covid and they actually may make it easier for the illness to infect due to Vaccine Dependent Enhancement. At that point, governments will have to admit that they were wrong to create these Covid breeding grounds through the implementation of vaccine mandates and passports. Science always winds up beating politics, its just a matter of time now for that to happen with respect to how the world views these Covid vaccines.
