I love it. A world without Facebook and Twitter is a good start. I haven't been on YouTube in a while because Rumble and Bitchute have a tremendous amount of conservative content. YouTube is only hurting themselves by silencing conservatives.
We the people are now being ruled by mental cases. It's so mental we turn to people like Rose McGowan, a mental case, hoping she's no longer a mental case so she can bring down a few mental cases. Have we gone mental?
As I recall, Facebook was starting to lose members just before 2020. The shutdowns may have saved them. Anyone else remember the 2019 articles expressing concern about Facebook's and Instagram's declining downloads?
I stopped using facebook in January 2021, when it became clear that they were just an arm of the Democrat Party. I still use Instagram, but I've found that's 90% less political than Facebook. Honestly, if you have friends who are moderate/conservative, get them to delete their accounts.
In talking to people, I've found that many people stay on their for the "groups" function and because they use messenger. I haven't missed the groups at all and Facebook allows you to use messenger if you disable your account instead of deleting it.
We should organize a "disable your facebook account" campaign on here. Network effects are fantastic for a company on the way up, and brutal on the way down. If we only got a few hundred thousand people to log off facebook, it could create a ripple effect that would take the whole platform down.
Nah. Parallel economies are already killing them. FB/TW/IG won't show you, but as someone in marketing, they're posting first-time declines. They've pissed off the olds and the kids prefer Chinese surveillance apps.
I left Facebook, personally and professionally, three months ago. Visits to my sites have increased by 18%, over the same period last year. Corporate-enforced group-think should create enormous opportunities for people who want to create honest content in open forums.
Yep, and it's pretty refreshing how fast it happened. Gato malo considers leaving the FB/TW/IG tent the best thing that happened to his message, and the dude doesn't even charge for his content.
The FB/TW/IG ecosystem (I always name all three to remind everyone, forever, that they're the same company) is a lowest-common-denominator, quantity-over-quality kind of cesspool for digital marketing. There's a big market, but it's a bottom-feeder kind of thing. The relatively dumb people that are easy marks are also cheap as hell and addicted to free- not a sustainable strategy.
I think it's something like saying, "I'm only available, from now on, at my new (or long existing) location." When people understand they won't be able to check in on you at the shorthand version of your brand, (social media), they are forced back to your site if they really were your customer in the first place. When we were heavily on social media, we only collected a few new emails a day. When we announced we were leaving, we picked up 600 new emails in one day, and we routinely get 15 email joins a day now.
Thanks for taking the time to explain. From my perspective, it's interesting b/c I have a food blog and have increasingly come to the conclusion that keeping up with Google's algo and generating organic search is the critical thing. On a personal level, I have to wonder who has time to run thru all these Insta and twitter postings since they all are ultimately replicating the same info. Again, thanks and good luck w/ your site.
I agree. I got banned from IG because I stated that we need to look at COVID antigens for those of us who have had it in lieu of a vax. That ticked someone off.
It's so bizarre. I have antiodiesb and the only time I was sick was April 2020 with a month long cough, no fever, minor loss of smell for a few days. At the time I thought that it couldn't possibly be covid because you were supposed to fall over dead if you had it. Tested in March 2021, so nearly a year later and antibodies are robust. So why no discussion about this?
Hail to you who’ve had it. I’m jealous. I got the vax in March to be able to go to Italy for a cycling tour. My antibody count last week was 20. No vax left in me. Now I have nightmares of what might happen to me down the road. Fuck the booster.
I think the odds are in your favor. There's a lot more to immunity than current antibodies counts. As I understand it, the body doesn't typically keep making huge numbers of antibodies to something that isn't there, that would be wasteful. But it still remembers what it saw and is ready to crank them out much quicker than at first exposure.
Get healthy, make sure you've got *higher* than "sufficient" vitamin d levels, I think you'll be ok.
Truth is, I'm wondering about people reporting such high levels of abs for so long. It makes me wonder if they're still reacting to something - but that's just me thinking out loud, I don't know a lot about it.
My worst symptom was a six week long cough. I coughed so hard I strained my ribs. But when I lost my taste and smell I was positive I had it. I’ve never had my antibodies checked but I had it. We need to be counted. And I’ve been exposed three or four times since then to other people who have tested positive. I got nothing. I’m not even worried about it.
because the vaccine doesn't work. Previous infection is up to 20x more effective than the ineffective vaccine. The more previously-infected people get vaccinated, the more the vaccine looks like it actually works.
Yep, so stop using IG. These people aren't using "fact checkers" These Big Tech companies are left-wing political activists prancing around as Big Brother to "protect" you from ideas they don't like.
Mun's right, at least in the short term. People like Alex Berenson are part of the problem because, even though he has a growing following on Substack, he continues to whine about his Twitter problems. As long as Twitter has Alex Berenson times 100 million, then Twitter will be a force to be reckoned with.
Nah. Alex is like a lot of people for whom TW/FB/IG was their first and biggest platform; they became addicted to the scale of it and are going through withdrawal. They're deplatforming and discouraging too many countercultural voices, and show no sign of slowing down; they're committing slow suicide. The real numbers don't lie.
The Leviathan state will not allow that to happen. The digital oligarchy is too big too fail from the Beltway perspective. It does for “Joe Biden” what the government cannot do openly: basically, censorship to support and propagate Newspeak — and rape minds.
We’re all ultimately complicit in the loss of the republic — to the extent “We the people” are willing to keep “living within a lie,” a world of appearances, pseudo-reality, a blizzard of lies. I won’t. I’m done with it all, mad as hell.
True. The Long March Through The Institutions should have been stopped long ago but bread, circuses, government schools and softness of body and mind - voila! here we are in 2021.
It's the trend I'm observing, and my hypothesis is it will continue. If lockdowns didn't reverse the trend, it seems unlikely anything will- UNLESS gov't/WEF alliances declare open war on parallel ecosystems and AWS & Co. starts pulling the plug on things like substance in partnership with the FBI for "antiterrorism."
Nah, Alex makes more $ on here and people actually see his work as there is no algorithm to hide it or to pay off... 100 million+ bots and trolls on twitter - I read somewhere once that a study once estimated that 80% of twitter traffic may be fake, like women on dating sites! no one really knows how many are real (single digit % of Americans are active on twitter or read it) - just b/c ALL the media use twitter as their main source now does not mean anyone else uses it....
The whole notion of having CNN clowns claiming to be the arbiters of what constitutes “misinformation “ is a pathetic joke. Anyone who watches their daily buffoonery deserves to be among the perfectly misled.
If we step back and reflect on that statement, there really isn’t a party on this planet that knows more about disinformation, obfuscation and outright lying then the aforementioned CNN..IMO
And, yes, it is a truly pathetic joke…just like CNN…IMO
Ashley and Doug -- that sounds like fodder for a new "Halloween" style movie - a bald headed big fat gnome that keeps showing up in your garden with a creepy grin on its face! The Nightmares that conjures up! Ugh.
There is no such thing as disinformation. There is only information, and it is up to you to use your brain to wade through it and educate yourself. I will buy another of Alex's books just to support him and his tireless effort. He must be exhausted trying to get the truth out.
Yes, exactly. This is one of the things that irks me the most. Anyone can say anything is disinformation. I can make that decision for myself. I don’t need Facebook or Twitter doing that job for me. I have also changed all of my donations in the last year and half. It’s important to me to support those with a voice that are speaking to facts.
Exactly. I am now subscribing to about a dozen publishers etc. who are working very hard to expose the rot that the mockingbird media protects and feeds.
I’m sure I speak for most folks here… my wife and I are educated readers with advanced degrees from prestigious universities, technical chops, and solid mathematics; we also care very much for the state of the Republic and the welfare of our neighbors; we do not drop a credit-card number for “misinformation.” Yet we are here. Thanks, Alex, and keep it up!
CNN offers daily doses of lying trash. They deserve to be banned for offering up misinformation regularly. Except that is authoritarian think. So OK they should be allowed to continue publishing their useless filth. I believe in the 1st. Amendment. CNN doesn’t.
Actually they deserve to lose their broadcast license for spewing lies and polluting the public "airwaves". Saint Reagan torpedoing the "fairness doctrine" was the beginning of the end for broadcast journalism. Not to overly romanticize their predecessors in Capitalist media, but Murrow, Cronkite, Paul Manning, et al were gems of probity by comparison to the empty suits of today.
In a sane world, of course you are correct. Unfortunately the so-called fairness doctrine was a means for the Left to hamstring Talk Radio and every Right of Center broadcaster of which there were hardly any. The game plan of the Left has always been to try to stifle debate under the guise of fairness while protecting their turf from any similar incursion. The good news today is that those who wish to obtain views contrary to the dictates of the MSM —like those expressed here—can do so. It remains, sadly, an uphill battle.
Funny to hear Mr Potato Head suggest Alex Berensen is trafficking in misinformation. Still waiting for Brian Stelter’s retraction of Russia-Gate, PeePee hoax, Hunter’s “Russian Disinformation” laptop, etc, etc, etc… we’ll wait Mr Potato Head!
There is so much going on behind the scenes of this pandemic (and our fading democracy) I don’t think most folks can wrap their heads around it all. I have a close friend who has been digging into all of this for nearly 30 years and I use to tolerate some of his rants until I took a long trip down the rabbit hole and got shock after shock the deeper I went and the more I uncovered. I can’t help but feel that the only way to bring an end to this is through revolution. They (those now calling the shots, Fauci, Gates, Schwab, Pharma, Our elected officials, NWO, etc., etc.) just aren’t taking us seriously enough and have so much money to push their horrific agenda. Until we can gather a true majority, with open eyes, we are destined for more and more insanity until we have allowed our freedoms to slip through our fingers OR we take a stand!
Some think it is an anachronism, but the pressure relief valve for all this craziness in America is the Article V - Constitutional Convention of States. I completely understand sentiments towards revolution and civil war, but before that, let's try the way the Founders gave us to legally remake our country.
It's just like the original masters of Pravda & Izvestia (translated "Truth" & "News", and the Soviet joke was, there is to pravda in Izvestia, and there is no izvestia in Pravda)... holding great power as long as the serfs aren't hearing opposing views and evaluating things for themselves. It isn't the ones with strong ideas who fear a free marketplace of ideas. See also basically every topic that isn't open to discussion today, "settled science," things one can be "cancelled" for saying or believing, and on & on.
Sadly, far, far too many sheep heed the injunctions to pay no attention to the truth being hidden behind the curtain, like the little Oz.
You all need to go read “The Spartacus Letter” at Zerohedge. Another very comprehensive article on this whole C19 mess.It leaves no stone unturned. Politically, medically, scientifically, vaccine ugliness, criminality, all of it It dovetails with Alex’s hard work!
I have literal potatoes in my pantry with a higher IQ than Tater.
That said, Alex, I never click on CNN links. Did it this time just for you. If you could, please post links to CNN and their ideological brethren through an archive. Why give them the clicks and the traffic?
The Substack CEO is the anti-Zuckerberg, the anti-JackDorsey. He "gets" the importance of the 1st Amendment that ALL speech --even unpopular speech or "wrongspeech"--- is worth defending because it's important to have a forum to discuss issues because, for example, yesterday's conspiracy theories or "misinformation" could turn out to be fact. Major respect to that CEO and to Substack. May they disrupt the traditional media model (like the MSM) and bring truth to reporting back.
CNN and MSNBC or any of the networks these days get their fragile feelings hurt when they hear of any competing venue for thought or perspective on pertinent issues of the day. They and other political propaganda outlets masquerading as media think anything that is not in line with the (mostly) Democrat party’s extremists favored narrative of the time is “mis/disinformation”. They are so absolutely infuriated when they cannot control or silence someone offering an opposing view. Additionally they are even more outraged when they see those people with opposing views having an audience. My only regret is I clicked on that link and read that story and gave CNN a viewing. I cannot believe I used to watch them when I was younger. I would equate them to a toilet bowl but I think a toilet bowl at least has relevancy. Glad Substack has not folded and gone full tilt leftist like Reddit, twitter and Fb. I pray they do not ever go that route and more people flee the thought police. It’s interesting so called media are always so concerned about people who are “wrong“ having a platform but they haven’t said or done anything that proves to me they were ever “correct” enough on anything they ever spewed out over the years under the guise as news reporting.
Exactly at least Alex isn’t trying to control anybody or tell anybody that they are wrong for not agreeing with him. He simply provides his own opinion and honestly shares where he is coming from on an issue and backs up with facts why he believes what he believes. That used to be delivering the news. 🤷🏻♀️
Look at tucker - they have tried to destroy him- he’s the hottest gig on television- Brian says nothing g about lemon assaulting a man- cuomo assaulting women! They are all morally corrupt- specially Christine Amapour
She’s as bad as the boys - sounds like them ! Gross !
I hate that CNN got a ‘click’ from me but I had to watch it anyway. I think I hate it more because the kid who would remind the teacher to assign homework and would pound the chalk erasers clean got a view from me. It is, however, hilarious that he was clueless enough to advertise for your substack page…
Fat, incompetent beta males want things removed that threaten them. He was probably the fat little snot nosed kid who took his ball and went home when things didn’t go his way.
The anti-patriots — party, politics, power — are winning a game of life and death. To combat censorship by the ruling “elite” we need to resurrect something like the Revolutionary-era “committees of correspondence,” with Revere-like post riders to spread alarums.
I will support Alex, Glenn and any journalist who dares to resist the deceptive propaganda peddled almost everywhere. CNN claiming to hold the moral high ground is like saying Don Lemon and Chris Cuomo are humble.
When Chrome Dome asked Chris if he should be allowing Alex's Covid "misinformation" on Substack, I wish Chris would've responded with "Hey, Brian, a lot of people think you're a journalistic joke. Should we get rid of you, too?"
May we see Facebook, google, and YouTube go the way of MySpace in our lifetimes.
I love it. A world without Facebook and Twitter is a good start. I haven't been on YouTube in a while because Rumble and Bitchute have a tremendous amount of conservative content. YouTube is only hurting themselves by silencing conservatives.
Tony Lin. Check him out. He gives data on the real numbers.
thanks, I've checked him out on Rumble. There's not a big following there but there should be. Let's get the word out!
May the Lord see your words and grant it so.
Amen!
We the people are now being ruled by mental cases. It's so mental we turn to people like Rose McGowan, a mental case, hoping she's no longer a mental case so she can bring down a few mental cases. Have we gone mental?
Mental monotonous morons marauding mainstream medias.
Mournful.
Completely mental.
Absolutely!
YEES!!!!
Amen!!!
Amen

Interesting. I stopped using it Jan 2019. However I didn't know others were dropping off.
Facebook has a generational market. I don't see how it competes with the platforms that have targeted the zoomers in the coming years.
Not going to happen. They are an integral part of digital-financial complex that is calling the shots.
Nah. Parallel economies are already killing them. FB/TW/IG won't show you, but as someone in marketing, they're posting first-time declines. They've pissed off the olds and the kids prefer Chinese surveillance apps.

How Ironic! I just tweeted Gato's latest entry comparing all cause mortality between vaccinated and unvaccinated in the UK:)
Curses! Completely refuted by a single self-reported data point!
Spot on.
Wi so long to go?
That's interesting. To what do you attribute the increased traffic (besides just 'leaving FB?'
I think it's something like saying, "I'm only available, from now on, at my new (or long existing) location." You also have to pay $$$$$ if you want Twitter/FB etc to put your content in people's feeds - its a scam....

Best news I've read in a long time.
FB and IG are so 2015
We don’t need other “economies,” but instead a parallel polis — smaller scale, moral, civically virtuous, human.
They depend on US users as US users = highest ad rates... Payments for youtube and adsense views/clicks from other markets is usually pretty low...
Is there a connection with being bad a math and kids getting dumber?
Mun's right, at least in the short term. People had a following that contributed to their livelihoods. Of course he’s mad.
The Leviathan state will not allow that to happen. The digital oligarchy is too big too fail from the Beltway perspective. It does for “Joe Biden” what the government cannot do openly: basically, censorship to support and propagate Newspeak — and rape minds.

If lockdowns didn't reverse the trend, it seems unlikely anything will- UNLESS gov't/WEF alliances declare open war on parallel ecosystems and AWS & Co. starts pulling the plug on things like substance in partnership with the FBI for "antiterrorism."
Alex being a white supremacist, after all.
Sooner then that!!
We can only hope!
And Twitter too! All of the manipulators of truth must go.
At least Tom is minding his own business just traveling the world, haha.
And Tom didn't discriminate. He was everyone's friend.
Indeed!!!
The whole notion of having CNN clowns claiming to be the arbiters of what constitutes “misinformation “ is a pathetic joke. Anyone who watches their daily buffoonery deserves to be among the perfectly misled.

Writers and readers are in charge at Substack. And...there you have it. THAT is the reason the little gnome at CNN is unhappy with substack.
He’s a bald headed big fat gnome.
Ashley and Doug -- that sounds like fodder for a new "Halloween" style movie - a bald headed big fat gnome that keeps showing up in your garden with a creepy grin on its face! The Nightmares that conjures up! Ugh.
It really is disturbing.
Potatonome

Exactly. I am now subscribing to about a dozen publishers etc. who are working very hard to expose the rot that the mockingbird media protects and feeds.
I agree. I changed all my donations AND my will. 👍

Thanks, Alex, and keep it up!
The Substack CEO was impressive. Glad he pushed back.
"Journalists" calling for censorship tells you everything you need to know.
Love Substack standing up to the Potatoes of the world!
CNN offers daily doses of lying trash. They deserve to be banned for offering up misinformation regularly. Except that is authoritarian think. So OK they should be allowed to continue publishing their useless filth. I believe in the 1st. Amendment. CNN doesn’t.
Misinformation is OK as long as they agree with it.

It's just Brian Stelter. Nothing to see there.
I’ve had not subscribed up till now but that knucklehead just put me over the edge. Enjoy my $60
Same here. Okay, Alex I am now "officially" on board.
Does anyone else find Brian Stelter's forced grins utterly creepy?
Bravo again for Alex Berenson!!!
That grin...signifies low testosterone. Yep, follow the science.
Someone should tell Brian Stelter he's the one spewing misinformation...
I would have loved it if the CEO would have confronted Mr. BS about that.
Same!! No one ever stands up to these schmucks.
What’s that overweight potato saying now?
Funny to hear Mr Potato Head suggest Alex Berensen is trafficking in misinformation. Still waiting for Brian Stelter’s retraction of Russia-Gate, PeePee hoax, Hunter’s “Russian Disinformation” laptop, etc, etc, etc… we’ll wait Mr Potato Head!
I don’t watch cnn, I’ll take your word for it. Watching cnn, if it were my only option, still means not watching cnn.
When the Left killed satire they gutted it and stuffed its rotting carcass with hacks, crooks and cons and called it cnn.
Remember when The Onion was funny? And criticized EVERYONE?
Throw a rock into a pack of dogs, the one that yelps the loudest is the one that got hit. There's lots of yelpin' goin on. Keep throwin' 'em Alex!
I'm paying a subscription to get you. Substack would be suicidal to ban you.
Absolutely Naomi!
I’ve got cheese sharper than Brian Stelter.
There is so much going on behind the scenes of this pandemic (and our fading democracy) I don’t think most folks can wrap their heads around it all. A majority won't matter. They are behaving as if our votes don't matter because they don't.
Until and unless they truly fear us, they win.
👍
Amen sister! I hope the sheeple wake up before it’s too late to do this peacefully
Agreed… that is my constant prayer!
As it turns out, Alex Jones - crazy as he seemed to me has been vindicated and we see now what he has been warning about for 25 years.
need a leader
I can't figure out why CNN, Twit, Fb, & the like act as if they are gods of "truth" when in reality they are nothing but regurgitated Pravda.

Brian Stelter, AKA: "The Talking Turd."
I'll wager that the Left is working nonstop, to figure out how to cancel Substack.
Beautiful interview. Like a commercial for Substack, and Alex Berenson. If I didn’t already know about both, I would subscribe instantly! 😂
Alex continues to hit all the right targets!
Mark Dice destroys "Grimace" on an almost weekly basis in his YouTube videos. No one should be banned in a free country.
:)
Hi Brian! I know you've been compared to a potato but that's really unfair. Potatoes are far more useful to humanity!
I didn't realize anyone still watched CNN.
Very few do...and Gutfeld is kicking their ass.
The headline: "CNN’S RATINGS ARE AN UNFIXABLE DISASTER"

Brian Stelter embodies what it means to be a true journalist in this day and age - and that's not a good thing.
Sometimes if I need a laugh I read through this thread https://mobile.twitter.com/brianstelter/status/1402277364021796870
That is gold. And so is this!

Those that demand banning others for speech need to be exiled to Venezuela for a year.
We are now at the point where we have to explain the merits of free speech. I'm so naive, I thought that was automatic.
Especially when opposing view is right, and they are wrong. I haven't seen any competent arguments that anything Alex has written is incorrect.
Gross !
Toobin. Eeew.
I hate that CNN got a ‘click’ from me but I had to watch it anyway. I think I hate it more because the kid who would remind the teacher to assign homework and would pound the chalk erasers clean got a view from me. It is, however, hilarious that he was clueless enough to advertise for your substack page…
It's the existence of people like Stelter that drove me to subscribe.
free advertising...a liberal calling you names is a badge of of honor
Fat, incompetent beta males want things removed that threaten them. He was probably the fat little snot nosed kid who took his ball and went home when things didn’t go his way.
Love the free advertising for you, Alex
Good on Chris Best for pushing back on that smug elitist jerk.
Don't forget Naomi Wolf.
What’s substack infrastructure built on? If it’s Amazon, Google, Yahoo or similar then they may take them down
Mr. Tater Head is feeling threatened! Keep up the great work!
When Chrome Dome asked Chris if he should be allowing Alex's Covid "misinformation" on Substack, I wish Chris would've responded with "Hey, Brian, a lot of people think you're a journalistic joke. Should we get rid of you, too?"
Wow he callled you disinformation misinformation and malinformation! Trifecta!
What can we do to prevent this? I am so grateful for your honest journalism and want it to continue.
Assholes gotta asshole
