Much of this wouldn’t be happening if we still had real independent journalists like Alex actually investigating and reporting facts, apoliticallly. Sadly, there’s just a few left, mainly on sub stacks. Freedom of the press was supposed to a safeguard to our liberties - the American press should ALWAYS distrust the government because the nature of government by imperfect and dishonest men/women always tends toward tyranny and corruption. And if the press was doing their job, they’d be wary of big tech, big Pharma, big corporations and their influence on government policy. In my lifetime, the American press - MSM - always leaned left but in the last decade or so it has literally become a propaganda machine for Democrats, powerful elites, China, bad actors. It’s no longer a free press; it’s the enemy of the people and freedom.

Newsflash: The virus originated in the Wuhan lab. The only remaining question is whether the release was an accident, or was done on purpose. If you still claim it originated in a fucking wet market, I can't help you. You're too stupid for words.
I almost feel like we should put on our calendars 5/10/15 years from the date Alex got booted off Twitter as a 'reunion' of sorts.
It's hard to exaggerate my appreciation for Alex and, now, the community in his substack. I feel like when I go out into the world, I'm just constantly gaslighted by absolutely insane people. It's nice to find some sanity, here.
There were several congressional hearings in the 60's AND 70's, where SCIENTISTS, under oath, declared that their scientific research demonstrated that "nicotine is NOT addictive".
Also, scientist in the 50's calculated the #of days when the sun will no longer transmit heat to earth and the ICE AGE would start in early 1960's. And on and on and....
What does it matter? Either China knew the whole thing was nonsense but it believed that by playing up the hysteria it could goad the West into committing suicide or the Chinese are almost as dumb as we are and they genuinely thought their actions of locking down Wuhan made sense.
Regardless, our civilization ending response to this "virus" has been entirely *our* choice.
It should be stressed that it didn't happen in a vacuum. For those of us manning the trenches of the vaccine wars for the past 20 years we know what vaccine fanatics are like. They would murder their own children if they thought it would reduce the number of germs on the planet. And no, that's not an exaggeration. I know of lots of people who proudly explained to me that they vaccinated their kids after a previous near-fatal experience because it was their social duty to do anything they could to reduce the number of germs.
People have become increasingly hysterical about other people's illnesses. If we only go back three decades, most doctors on the planet had only had one or two vaccines in their entire lives. These days, doctors and nurses get shunned unless they have a flu shot every year - as well as being "up to date" on every other existing vaccine. And the less said about the way we treat unvaccinated children the better. Back three decades ago if your neighbor or family member had the flu you would go around and give them chicken soup. You wouldn't tell them you refuse to go near them because you hadn't had your 15th flu shot that year. And going back three decades there were just as many unvaccinated kids in the average classroom as vaccinated ones. Nobody cared about anybody else's vaccine status.
We went from a world that, other than giving kids their shots (if we could be bothered), merely paid lip service to the idea of contagious disease to a world that was completely obsessed over contagion.
Covid is nothing. Whether you believe it's real or not. Whether you believe it's more deadly or contagious than the average cold or not. Covid didn't set the precedent. It merely took it to its logical conclusion. If these vaccines were 100 per cent effective (as opposed to what they are, zero) and we eradicated covid it wouldn't matter in the slightest. At least 80 per cent of the people alive today believe that a contagious disease justifies dismantling our freedoms and economy. So the next time a sniffle virus comes along and takes people in the prime of their 105th year of life politicians will be goaded by twitter and facebook into shutting it down all over again. It's just that we'll be doing it as a third world nation rather than a rich one. I guess the only silver lining is that third world countries have much higher corruption so bribing a doctor to give you a fake shot will be much easier.
People that are afraid of other people just because they are alive cannot possibly sustain a civilization.
So folks, here’s the deal, you are just want to continue to pontificate and bitch to the moon how life is unfair and how our rulers, leaders, and people of influence are inappropriate and incompetent and immoral.

All I can say is, having watched how the Germans in World War II crushed their society and killed people inside and outside their borders without any real blow back by their citizens, shows to me history is not only going to repeat itself, but it’s going to one up the damage.
