Are you going to issue a retraction to your previous article about Ivermectin? It actually indicated ivermectin worked. Control had 241 patients, 10 intubations, and 10 deaths. https://igorchudov.substack.com/p/cnn-vs-ivermectin Ivermectin had 249 patients, 4 intubations, and 3 deaths. The study only noted the sample size wasn't large enough to show Ivermectin didn't work...but that was a stacked deck...it was never big enough to show efficacy. An analogy...say I thought I had weighted dice. I rolled 2 sixes in a row. Is it proof the dice are weighted? No, but it raises eyebrows and it is certainly NOT proof that the dice AREN'T weighted. Sampling with covid is tough because so many already had it, won't get it, or will have mild symptoms. So you need gargantuan ($$$) studies which typically only big pharma can justify if their is a ROI.

Statistical insignificance means no effect could be shown either way and more data is needed to come to a firm conclusion. I am very disappointed to see Berenson interpret statistical insignificance as failure, it is just plain wrong and you would think he would know better by now.

Expand full comment

Thank you. Not sure what Alex has against IVR, it works around the world, in numerous countries, as a prophylaxis and when given at onset of symptoms.

Expand full comment

IVM is the only drug that shows effectiveness at any stage of illness. That’s why people in ICU sur hospitals to take it. It has saved lives even at the very end. Hydroxychloroquine actually has to be used early on.

I've been taking HCQ for nearly a year. A dermatologist had prescribed it for a 'rash' on my forehead...he had tried steroid injections and some other type of cream. No luck. Then he prescribed HCQ...Bingo! The condition disappeared, so I stopped taking the medication. After I started hearing about HCQ and it's supposed efficacy, I asked my PCP about getting a prescription. He told me he didn't think he could do that...and that even if he did, the pharmacy may refuse to fill it. Oh well.

Fast forward a few months and that rash began to reappear. It suddenly occurred to me that the dermatologist MIGHT have prescribed HCQ. I keep a log of medications I've taken (I have mild hypertension) and sure enough...there it is: HCQ! My next appointment with my PCP, as usual, he asks if I have any 'issues' he needs to be aware of. I show him the rash on my forehead and tell him how the dermatologist had prescribed HCQ. Doctors always want to know any other doctors you see, so this office knew about the dermatologist. After I tell him about the rash/HCQ, he looks at his computer that confirms that I had been prescribed HCQ. He just says "Yep, I see that here in your records. Would you like me to write a prescription for that?" Been taking it ever since!

Now, almost a year ago, my wife isn't feeling well. She gets bronchitis EVERY year, so we aren't overly concerned. She was working from home, and never had to 'lay out'...just was moving slowly. After a few days, she's fine. Last fall, she's talking to one of her doctors and they began to wonder if she might have had 'the bug' back when she was 'under the weather'. So, they send her to one of the LabCorp offices to draw blood and run tests to see if she has the antibodies. Couple of days later, the results come in and are positive! She has natural immunity!! Well, now I'm jealous (LOL!)...cause I wish I had that too! She tells her doc the story of my 'jealousy' so she orders the same test for me. So, I also go to LabCorp. A few days later my results come in and they are positive too!!!! Yaaah!!

Add to that, we have some close friends who tested positive with 'the bug'...and they all felt like crap for several days. These are all friends that we see every week, hang out together...have drinks/dinner together. IOW, frequent, close contact.

Now, here's the thing: I never felt bad a single day. No fever, no fatigue, no nothing. But I do have the antibodies. Maybe it was just dumb luck, but I can't ignore the fact that I had been taking HCQ all along. Does it work?? Who knows...but I'm happy to have taken it!

Great story & yes I’m sure the HCQ helped you! Dr Zelenko said you can also substitute quercetin if you don’t have access to HCQ but both should be taken with zinc!

The fact that BigTech censors the proven benefits of Hydroxychloroquine, Ivermectin and other cheap, repurposed drugs and a dozen Bill Gates/pharma-funded "fact-checkers" object to their proven benefits only undermines your credibility and pharmaceutically-funded bias.

John Cornyn comes to mind.

Look at the committees they serve on, that speaks volumes. Biotech industry, petroleum, industries that manufactures military products have a way of keeping those people in place.

Expand full comment

Graham and the rest of them are lackeys. They don't care about election fraud etc. because maybe someday it will benefit them. They are all deep-staters. This is why Trump is such a threat. The only reason Graham stood up for Kavanaugh was because he was pissed the Dems weren't going along with the typical "I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine" protocol, a/k/a "Senatorial decorum." Which is why Dem nominees no matter how liberal, anti-constitution and pro-abortion get rubber stamped 98-2.

I'm amazed at how many people who I would have thought of as liberal have embraced some of the values held by conservatives. Bill Maher is actually sounding like a Republican these days. It will be interesting to see how the parties align in the future

It’s just evidence of how far to the left the progressives have pushed things.

Expand full comment

I think Freedom (or its removal) resonates with a lot of people who until now were ok to let it clock away. Amazing how the polarization stirs up hidden feelings. And breaks families apart. Yes Far Left, but also Far Right and the dichotomy has become a strange 6th dimension.

Expand full comment

Bill Maher is actually one of the few who is speaking out against masks and mandates, and last week he even criticized those who don't question science/medicine -- seems he was referring to the vaccines. He's far from perfect, but don't see how he's sounding like a Republican. If that means he's constantly criticizing the increasing fascism of the left, and rightly so, guess I've become a Republican too.

Expand full comment

I never said Republican. Conservative values.

Expand full comment

Actually, your exact statement was: “Bill Maher is actually sounding like a Republican these days.”

But I am curious how you define conservative values. To me, Bill Maher sounds like an old-school liberal from back in the days when civil liberties, bodily autonomy, etc, were key values.

It is really great for us be able to see people emerge from categories. Bill Maher, who often has annoyed me, has had my respect because he arrives at his POV with apparent critical thought. That's what I seek, not agreement with my POV.

Congratulations. Note the shift to populism, and the shift in political alignment. Now including not only the working man but former liberals who still believe in free speech, and who contend it is the free flow of ideas that leads to progress, the corporatist, once in the Republican column, and the elites have joined forces to promote more government control. Those in the new woke left need to wake up before America succumbs to the tyranny of "emergency" powers now prevalent in former democracies. Let no-one think this is accidental. The one world government controlled by elites already had a strong foothold using the fear of climate change as their vehicle. Then came the virus and they all jumped on board, frightening many into ignoring science and condemning those, like Alex willing to speak out.
