In other news... One sure fire way to not get Covid is don't test for it. Who the frick cares if it's a cold, flu, rona, or whatever? What are you going to do differently? How accurate are the tests? If you're feeling lousy rest;, stay well hydrated; take your vitamins and supplements; sinus medications; etc. and stay away from people until you feel better. Just like we'd do when we had all of those other illnesses before they named one from China after a Mexican beer. Cheers!

My husband and I got sick with some sort of a virus back in November. Fever for a few days and a lingering cough. My sister, an MD, said we should check for covid, but I said why bother? We're in good health even if we're over 60. I could not have cared less if it was covid or anything else. Heck, we even hosted Thanksgiving and no one got sick, including my sister!

I agree. I have never tested (not sure about the test made by our friends in China anyway) and if I had Covid , it was no worse than a mild flu. Slept, Advil and liquids. WaLa; gone. I did not fall for the lines of Dr. Quack and take a clot shot.

True! Best friend: “ Did you get a test?” Me: “ No, it doesn’t matter.” BFF: “ get a test! They’re only $12”. Me: That’s more than a lot of families can spend on groceries for one day.” BFF: “ but you can afford it.” 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Sis: "Get a test. You'll feel better once you know." Me: "I feel fine not knowing." Sis: "Well, you should get it for others." Me: "What 'others'? No one's around." (In 2022 Boston still had many people who were not around.)

I agree what does it matter if you get the wuflu. Why test? Seems ridiculous. The test confirms you are sick so what . F--cking nonsense.

The "Test" is a misnomer ! It's not a test for any kind of disease, according to its inventor, the Late, Cari Mullis. And the cofounder of Pfizer, Mike Yeadon.

So true. My friends and family are so sick of me saying "how do you know you have covid?" each time they let me know about their groundbreaking diagnosis. When they tell me they took the test I just stare and say "and.... why?" I understand why someone in the Berenson family would though. It's R &D !

It's my contention that "they" spent some 30 years developing this poison on the pretext of "HIV".

Here is a facebook post circa May 2020 that Facebook took down, I think its timely today. It was targeted at Gavin Newsom and the draconian restrictions he imposed in May of 2020.

VICHY GOVERNMENT 2020 -

When the German tanks rolled into Paris in June of 1940, they weren't greeted by the French army, but by weeping citizens of Paris. Sold out by their government (who feared war would destroy their beloved museums and parks) they went on to endure 5 long years of degrading occupation. The Germans stole their wealth, plundered their museums, and murdered their citizens. Did the citizens rise up and fight the Germans? NO! They formed the Vichy government headed by Philippe Pétain to collaborate with the Germans. History wasn't kind to Petain or the Vichy government. They were viewed as traitors and as an ugly stain on the French soul.

All over America in 2020 Americans are being asked to live on bended knee like the French. Gavin Newsom is a modern Phillipe Petain. He is selling the French lie that we will all be better off if we give up our freedoms.

if you want to surrender your freedoms, don't do it in my name. I'm fighting these authoritarians every inch of the way. God Bless the men and women of our country who are standing up for freedom and self-determination

Expand full comment

And now he wants to extend his managerial brilliance to the entire USA.

(A friend is taking bets on this for 2024: Old Demented Joe does not seek re-election. Newsom is the Dem candidate...and Kamala the Kackler returns to California to run for governor.)

The job always was the means to an end: It's a giant grift. "Invest" eight years and spend the rest of your life living in the lap of luxury. Write a few mediocre books, speaking engagements for hefty fees, seats on various boards, etc.

As a bonus: the taxpayers provide Secret Service protection and administrative staff.

Sorry but seems I'm too dumb to see the parallel. How about the Russian SMO in Ukraine ?

Or the fake Moonlandings ?

The parallel is that French gave up their freedom to save their beloved city - Americans were asked to give their freedom to save lives. Both were lies. The French lost their cultural treasures, Americans lost their freedoms.

I cannot EVER remember a time, in my 59 years, that human beings were so ANAL about getting sick! I find it pathetic, with due respect.

I'm 59 now. Back in Oct of 2021, I thought I was coming down with Strep. Went to have that tested. They said no. Ran the covid test, said yes. I had a fairly nasty sore throat for about a week. Coughed a few times a day. When is was all said on done, I asked my wife, this is why we're destroying the world?

LMAO! Ya think???? People get colds and flus, etc! I haven’t been sick in about 15 years at 59. I get out in the fresh air and sun as much as possible 🌞! Tough day at work? Long Covid.

I could go on but…

Expand full comment

Seems you have some knowledge. If I may ask, when afflicted with Long Covid, does one continued to test positive post recovery from the original infection?

In other words, does the virus remain in the body, or does it transform into something undetectable?

By the way, not my intent to mock sick people. But the Covid Overreaction perpetrated by our media and ruling class, and any given person’s willingness to accept same without questioning, is fair game.

Expand full comment

Well, you just did mock sick people (5 times).

My knowledge is almost nothing (aside from still being disabled to some degree by C-19, 9 months after having a "mild" case. No clot shots taken.).

I don't know about people testing positive long-term. Different theories about L.C. out there. One is the virus persists in the body (though mainstream testing would likely not reveal this; maybe research labs can).

Another is that Covid impacts the immune system, so other issues like latent infections (EBV/Lyme/etc.) flare up. (Maybe kinda like the theory that the shots ruin immune systems--hence weird viruses, cancer, etc. Like CA Sen. Dianne Feinstein having shingles now, presumably after multiple MRNA vaxes).

Yes, agree: Covid Overreaction definitely fair game.

Alex making a joke of Long Covid...? Fair fucking game, too. More science, less snark, please.

"Post-viral illness" is not new. People w/ CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) and ME (Myalgic Encephalomyletis) have suffered for decades, largely mocked by "psychologizers" who know nothing.

So the added stress of altitude weakened your immune system. Perhaps you were infected earlier yet your immune system could suppress getting ill until you were finally stressed. Now your immune system will protect you even more.

Expand full comment

Yup! And age plays a factor... I’d never had altitude sickness in my life until at 55 I travelled from my home in Jacksonville, FL to Denver.... vertigo, nausea , I was a mess for days. So I’m not doubting Alex’s test but his immune system was thrown a curveball by the high altitude. Bottom line: if you’re relatively healthy , it’s a nasty cold. On an immature note, there’s a special place in Hell for people so hateful that they would wish someone to die. And ventilators kill.

today a dear friend (older than me) who I have only seen infrequently since covid, told me that her husband passed away in 2021 -- turns out that he got covid and went to the VA hospital, he "survived covid" but the after effects of having been given remdesivir (she believes) harmed his major organs and he died after leaving the hospital...absolutely tragic

The husband of one of my wife's lifelong (LITERALLY lifelong...they can't remember when they first met!) died with 'the bug' about 1 1/2 years ago (October 2021). I remember his wife texting mine, asking her to pray for her husband because they were getting ready to put him on a ventilator. I suspect he was probably given Remdesivir but will never ask his widow. Their daughter is a PA and I suspect she likely advised the family to avoid any of the alternative treatments (Hydroxychloroquine and/or Ivermectin. As a side note, one of my daughters is an RN and, unfortunately, she swallowed the narratives.

I was just thinking about him...and her...yesterday. As more and more of the truth gets exposed, I can't imagine the anger that she might hold towards the 'health professionals'. I truly believe they killed him. And sadly, none of them will ever be punished.

Yeah, I had a similar story. Traveled to London last December, and on about the fourth day I had what I thought was kind of a bad cold. Just for context, it was about 30 degrees with snow when we were there and my wife and I were walking 9-10 miles a day around town. I ended up taking a nap for most of a Thursday afternoon, but that was it.

When we got home my wife wasn't feeling great and insisted that we test. Yep, covid.

These stories are the norm, not the exception. And yes, the strain now is less severe. But it was never - never - dangerous enough to the public in general to justify the draconian measures or vaccine mandates. Never.

I had the same thing after traveling to France and Switzerland in November 2022. I had pre-existing very strong immunity from November 2020. Despite lots of travel to Florida and Mexico, being exposed to a lot of people, and never wearing a mask if I could help it etc., I got nothing again for almost two years except occasional throat irritation when I was near recently vaccinated people. Then I got a bad throat irritation in November 2022, followed by some thing that felt like Gastro. It was over in a few days. Tested negative for Covid. But about six weeks later I was doing a follow up blood test at the functional doctors office and they found gobs of antibodies against Covid. Way more than originally. I agree with other comments – – nobody would’ve otherwise cared or noticed these little ailments that are normal when you get run down.

Having skied every year in Colorado with other friends from Florida and other eastern states from 70s through the 90s, that story, those symptoms, were told many times by many easterners long before there was COVID. I've been suffering from long Covid for a couple of years now. I have occasional bouts of ranting and I feel extreme rage at what has been done to our society in the name of Covid. I get angry when I go to the grocery store and have to pay high prices for everything. I get angry when I see that my voting record shows that I voted by mail when I never voted by mail. I get angry when I see children wearing masks. I get angry when I see that the average American IQ has fallen for the first time since testing began. I got angry when I saw Damar Hamlin collapse.
