In other news... One sure fire way to not get Covid is don't test for it. Who the frick cares if it's a cold, flu, rona, or whatever? What are you going to do differently? How accurate are the tests? If you're feeling lousy rest;, stay well hydrated; take your vitamins and supplements; sinus medications; etc. and stay away from people until you feel better. Just like we'd do when we had all of those other illnesses before they named one from China after a Mexican beer. Cheers!

Here is a facebook post circa May 2020 that Facebook took down, I think its timely today. It was targeted at Gavin Newsom and the draconian restrictions he imposed in May of 2020.

VICHY GOVERNMENT 2020 -

When the German tanks rolled into Paris in June of 1940, they weren't greeted by the French army, but by weeping citizens of Paris. Sold out by their government (who feared war would destroy their beloved museums and parks) they went on to endure 5 long years of degrading occupation. The Germans stole their wealth, plundered their museums, and murdered their citizens. Did the citizens rise up and fight the Germans? NO! They formed the Vichy government headed by Philippe Pétain to collaborate with the Germans. History wasn't kind to Petain or the Vichy government. They were viewed as traitors and as an ugly stain on the French soul.

All over America in 2020 Americans are being asked to live on bended knee like the French. Gavin Newsom is a modern Phillipe Petain. He is selling the French lie that we will all be better off if we give up our freedoms.

if you want to surrender your freedoms, don't do it in my name. I'm fighting these authoritarians every inch of the way. God Bless the men and women of our country who are standing up for freedom and self-determination

I cannot EVER remember a time, in my 59 years, that human beings were so ANAL about getting sick! I find it pathetic, with due respect.

STOP IT TODAY and get on with LIVING!

Thrilled you survived the dreaded One-Nine.

Regarding Long Covid:

If you are feeling anxious, out of sorts: it’s Long Covid.

If you have a spat with the wife: Long Covid.

Stub a toe: Long Covid.

Need some love and tenderness: Try Long Covid.

Tough day at work? Long Covid.

I could go on but…

So the added stress of altitude weakened your immune system. Perhaps you were infected earlier yet your immune system could suppress getting ill until you were finally stressed. Now your immune system will protect you even more.

The husband of one of my wife's lifelong (LITERALLY lifelong...they can't remember when they first met!) died with 'the bug' about 1 1/2 years ago (October 2021). I remember his wife texting mine, asking her to pray for her husband because they were getting ready to put him on a ventilator. I suspect he was probably given Remdesivir but will never ask his widow. Their daughter is a PA and I suspect she likely advised the family to avoid any of the alternative treatments (Hydroxychloroquine and/or Ivermectin. As a side note, one of my daughters is an RN and, unfortunately, she swallowed the narratives.

I was just thinking about him...and her...yesterday. As more and more of the truth gets exposed, I can't imagine the anger that she might hold towards the 'health professionals'. I truly believe they killed him. And sadly, none of them will ever be punished.

Yeah, I had a similar story. Traveled to London last December, and on about the fourth day I had what I thought was kind of a bad cold. Just for context, it was about 30 degrees with snow when we were there and my wife and I were walking 9-10 miles a day around town. I ended up taking a nap for most of a Thursday afternoon, but that was it.

When we got home my wife wasn't feeling great and insisted that we test. Yep, covid.

These stories are the norm, not the exception. And yes, the strain now is less severe. But it was never - never - dangerous enough to the public in general to justify the draconian measures or vaccine mandates. Never.

Having skied every year in Colorado with other friends from Florida and other eastern states from 70s through the 90s, that story, those symptoms, were told many times by many easterners long before there was COVID. It seems foolish to me to place any faith regarding diagnoses in a test explicitly not designed or intended for diagnostic purposes. Thank you Kary Mullis. More testing with unreliable tests leads to more anxiety and fear.

I've been suffering from long Covid for a couple of years now. I have occasional bouts of ranting and I feel extreme rage at what has been done to our society in the name of Covid. I get angry when I go to the grocery store and have to pay high prices for everything. I get angry when I see that my voting record shows that I voted by mail when I never voted by mail. I get angry when I see children wearing masks. I get angry when I see that the average American IQ has fallen for the first time since testing began. I got angry when I saw Damar Hamlin collapse. Oh, the long Covid is very real. Of course, I never technically got the Covid infection. But the contagion gave me long Covid anyway.

Same here. Took care of my spouse who was hospitalized with it in 2021; never got it. Finally caught it right after Christmas this year. Was sick all of January 2023. Am in my 50's and in decent health; was pretty surprised how hard it hit me. No vaccines. Got Paxlovid but never took it. Feeling perfectly fine now, thankfully. Here's to natural immunity!
