My son is about to be disciplined and then discharged from the Air Force for refusing, and in about a month, if nothing changes (and I'm not optimistic), I will most likely be done with my 25 year career as a cop. I believe we are approaching the point of not return for this country.

My youngest child is a senior in high school, so that is one worry we luckily do not have. But our school district has already stated they are mandating the vaccine for every age where FDA has approved its use. Absolutely nuts.

I'm extremely worried for my 17 y.o. Junior Olympian and varsity sprinter. I'm fighting mandates as best as I can but all of must stand firm and push back for this tyranny to stop. You could homeschool to avoid your children getting this shot. I homeschool 3 kids, something I never thought I would do. But it’s been a blessing and now I wouldn’t have it any other way. The homeschool community is so supportive and helpful. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you ever have questions in the future about it.
To that I would add many qualified and experienced teachers are being fired. They still love teaching children and will be available to tutor and lead pods.
My kids are at a private Christian school which has firmly stated no vaccine mandates ever. Not for students. Not for staff. However, if they are bullied into it, or lose the legal fight, we will turn to homeschooling because the resources are vast, available tutors incredible, and demands for children to be harmed to virtue signaling fears of adults non existent.
It’s funny to read about staffing shortages because the “analyst” seem never to recognize the millions of children being homeschooled is a huge factor. Many found a way to support their families and do more with less by having a parent or grandparent simply quit.

California is pushing to require anyone who homeschools to have a full teaching credential. Cal Ed. Code 48224 already requires some tutors to be credentialed.

Aboslutely will. They will include Covid in with the MMR Dtap Polio vaccines, which is exactly what most people in the world think the Covid vaccine is like -- a nueteralizing/sterilizing vaccine. (Its not. But you all know this.) This is why they are bring Test and Stay programs to select schools so they can start testing like mad, show the cases are "out of control", hammer on the kids who are not vaccinated (silencing evidence that most kids vaccinated also testing positive anyway) and then say, "this leaves us no choice..."

His conditions, and the risks of myocarditis were pointed out in a formal request. The AF doctor denied it.

Yes, this has been my thoughts from the very beginning. The Left has been trying to change the culture of law enforcement for some time, and their success has been slow but steady. In spite of a few highly-publicized incidents, most cops outright refused to have anything to do with enforcing the lockdowns, mask mandates, etc. This showed the Left they would not be able to use force to control the people until the Left could change who was in police work. These mandates will force out every cop who stands on principles, and even if a few are successful with religious exemptions, they are now identified and will be weeded out. Same thing is going on with the military.
Once the cops and military are cleansed of anyone capable of standing against what the tyrants want done to the people, the real horrors will begin.

Having done a ton of real estate closings in Vero for the past 7 years, prior to working for builder, the majority of people I’ve closed from the NE, they are not liberals, they would whisper about Trump to me until I gave them confirmation I was one of them. And republican registrations used to outnumbered by Democrats by 750,000 and today, republicans are only 22,000 behind. This trend supports the idea that Florida is actually becoming redder.
Vero Beach is very nice, I spent my elementary and high school years in not-so-nice Fort Pierce. I won’t be returning to that city, though my mom is still there. Sister lives in PSL.

I'm feeling heartbroken and afraid for my 17 and 19 year olds, as well. They have such hope and ambitions for their lives. The youngest dreams of going to the Olympics (he's a Junior Olympian). :-( The oldest wants to live a full life which includes travel, college (taking a gap year), concerts, etc. Vax passports are the most powerful tool to get to our kids. I'm an NP with 25 years experience. Regretfully I had two Pfizer shots but won't get a third. I can tell you the woke partners in our office would rather go broke than defy the vaccine mandate. Getting an NP degree will not protect your wife, I'm sorry to say.

Yes, I couldn't believe what a friend who is very conservative posted about that. He was angry because his doctor wasn't vaccinated. If you are so worried about it then don't go to the doctor. The shots are not safe.
So I assume he’s vaccinated. So he thinks his vaccination doesn’t protect him in which case why should his doctor be vaccinated? If he thinks his vaccination protects him why should his doctor be vaccinated. Have you pointed that out to him?
The issue with the coercion is NOT that the shots are not safe. The shots can be unsafe and still be a net benefit, and then there is reason to take them but not necessarily to force them. The shots can be unsafe but still necessary to control a "deadly pandemic."
The issue is that they are not necessary to control a deadly pandemic:
- The vaccinated are already safe enough there is no emergency for them. It's less dangerous than the flu.
- Even if they weren't, the shots don't reduce transmission enough to mandate. They will not control anything. All the same people will get sick, just more slowly.
- Either of the above would be sufficient alone to make coercion unethical. But it's also unethical to coerce a recovered person to vaccinate. There would be no group or individual benefit, even if the above two were not true, and many of these nurses are recovered people because they worked before we had a vaccine!
Those are the issues. Those three are the issues. "The shots are not safe" is NOT the issue, and you should stop arguing from that point.
I don't believe they had any data prior to dispensing these shots that they were safe and even the corrupted data that we are left with shows the shots are not safe. If you get covid there really is no one to blame. If you take the shot and get a serious side effect, there is only yourself to blame.
As far as what safe means, it's not a statistic because for the people who suffer injury from the shots, it wasn't safe. So in that case it's clear and truthful to say the shots aren't safe. The argument you are making is that for those people, they were the risk that outweighed the benefit to others that you cannot prove. Their risk is obvious, where is the benefit you claim?
You are right and you aren't going to convince most of the health care community that the risk of COVID didn't outweigh the shot risk. It's most unfortunate that the vast majority of care providers still believe everything that comes out of FDA, CDC, and NIH--get it printed in JAMA or NEJM and it becomes the gold standard because few read anything other than the abstract. Medicine is in a sad state when even physicians don't understand statistics or remember the value of natural immunity.

Call their bluff. It may be too late if you haven't forced THEM to make a decision. They put the decision on you. If they try to terminate you, make them explain IN WRITING that you are terminated - they must detail why. If THEY refused an exemption, that is THEIR decision. The work rule or policy is a violation of civil rights and has no legal binding. Companies cannot override individual rights. Requiring medical procedures as a condition of employment is unlawful - Geneva conventions, Nuremberg Codes to which the US is a signature, prohibit forced medical procedures.
I'll also add, you should state that you consider yourself fully employed and will continue doing your job. If they are to consider you terminated, they must put it in writing - say THAT in writing to them as they must put in writing WHY you were terminated. EVERYTHING IN WRITING. Once they "terminate" you, time for a wrongful termination lawsuit.

On a brighter note, where I live in NC the independent medical practices are thriving. It started because people wanted a real physician to guide them, it has grown as unvaccinated (and mostly immune) have lost their jobs for not getting vaccinated. Even though these clinics don’t accept Medicare/ Medicaid, and very few insurance plans, they are thriving because people will pay for actual healthcare from thinking physicians/ nurses concerned for the individual patients.
The medical consolidation has been so detrimental to healthcare. Hopefully you find more fulfilling employment, should you want to, in a practice that cares about its patients.
You have paid into the system for years. I am hoping lawsuits prevail so you at least get the benefits you have earned by actually contributing to the programs.

Well it’s official I was “exited” on Tuesday. Thought I’d share my response letter to the Governor:
Dear Governor Hochul,
My name is Jean MSN, RN, CPAN. I am a registered nurse with 33 years of clinical, research, and academic experience. I am well-read in scientific literature and understand deeply the concept of informed consent. On Tuesday, September 28th, 2021 I was fired from my nursing position in NY in violation of my right to informed consent regarding taking the COVID-19 vaccine. Your continuation of former, disgraced Governor Cuomo's mandate that all healthcare workers receive the COVID-19 vaccine, or be terminated from their positions is a violation of my right to informed consent. Your willingness to replace NY state healthcare workers with the National Guard or foreign healthcare workers is an absolute disgrace. The current scientific literature does not support this mandate, as there are NO long-term data studies to defend the safety of the current COVID-19 vaccines available. As a NY state resident, taxpayer, and licensed professional I am formally requesting that you cease and desist from this unconstitutional vaccine mandate for healthcare workers.
In closing, as you smugly position yourself in front of the cameras vilifying the very healthcare workers who tirelessly cared for COVID-19 patients with no vaccine, limited PPE, and fear of dying or spreading this disease to their families, you stayed safe inside, protected in the comfort of your home, using zoom to remotely meet with your peers.
Just remember as you stand cocked on your dais, with your ambition and ego oozing from your pores, as you verbally assault us with the notion that we are all replaceable, I might remind you that the position you hold, that you inherited as a result of the venality of your predecessor, is equally as replaceable.

As someone who works for a company that has a federal contract, I am waiting for that shoe to drop, despite the fact that my shoes do not come within 100 miles of any federal facility we service. We are being governed by a fascist political ruling class the openly disregard the statutes they arbitrarily and fraudulently impose on those they tyrannize.

There are many concierge services starting up across the country with those who have left the medical field because of the mandates. Also Gab social media is promoting jobs and avenues for people who refuse the vaccine find work. There appears to be a second tiered system developing across the country. The important thing is, we need knowledgable and professional people to survive, and more and more people are dying mysteriously (an ex-brother-in-law one of them at 61 with no prior health history) and/or suffering severe disabilities. Just know that there are many supportive people behind you.
Good for you for standing your ground! I'm a physical therapist for a Home health company in California, and I'll be losing my job next month. I don't know what they'll call it, "firing", "exiting", "erasing" me from their minds so they don't have to tolerate the cognitive dissonance of their decision.
Don't even get me started on this insanity. I am a nurse in New York state. I haven't worked in the clinical setting in years (in fact, I know work as a legal nurse consultant) but I have several friends still working in the acute care and outpatient settings. Some are vaxxed, some aren't. They all agree that this policy is crazy and they don't resent their unvaxxed co-workers at all. What they do resent is the loss of valuable personnel - often with years of experience - all because our temporary governor is trying to "out left" the current AG who is clearly running as a Dem in the upcoming gubernatorial race. It's all politics and there is absolutely no concern given for the the impending collapse. As one of the signs at our weekly protests says, "From Heros to Zeros."
My husband is a volunteer firefighter and they are seeing ripple effects with first responder units. What has normally been a 10-15 minute process to transfer care from ambulance units to hospital ER staff, is now taking up to an hour with ambulances waiting parked until hospital staff can assume care. This is not going to end well.

Our government is trying to do to our hospitals, clinics and emergency response teams the same thing they've already done to our military and police forces. They force the "skillful, experienced and strong-spined" leaders out of those professions and advance their own zombie-drones into the vacated positions.

Excellent insight regarding Hochul displaying her leftist cred to fight off James or perhaps even AOC in 2022. She is cutting off her nose to spite her face, and turning last year’s #healthheroes” into outcasts. To show how vicious this is, hospitals are documenting this as a resignation, or even worse, a termination for cause. This prevents the employee from obtaining unemployment benefits. And in the case of a licensed professional, termination for cause is a serious impediment to future employment since this must be disclosed on applications for future employment. Quite simply, they are really sticking it to these workers. And the most hypocritical aspect is that the vast majority are minorities, so they are harming their “POC” constituents who are in all other arenas are victims of systemic racism.
As I understand the situation, it’s perfectly ok for a fully vaxxed and infectious nurse to work, and a healthy, non infectious nurse can not. Makes sense to me.

I rewatched the social dilemma tonight and in my Twitter readings recently it's clear some of these people do not see anything that we are aware of, and I have to believe the same things happening to me too. But some of the truths we are aware of they see as instant disinformation, the most basic facts--like a fully vaccinated person is still contagious and can die, and there is some risk from the vaccine for some people-- these simple truths are literally not even on their radar, not even a blip. they are completely oblivious and think we are crazy for even mentioning such things it's instantly labeled disinformation and were kicked off, just cut them some slack, we'll get through to them the right way eventually, we need to get the truth out in their channels just a little bit so they can see it.
Like the post earlier about the fantasy football commentator who died from covid while fully vaxed. That is a bombshell for them and it makes them really question what they think are absolute truths. If you read the threads about it the other side truly does not believe that it's possible to experience any harm from the vaccine, and they only believe it can help and it's your societal duty to inject something that hasn't been around for more than a year, for the greater good. Very soon enough of their facade will break away and they will see what's left for what it really is, a shell of what might maybe have someday been the truth what does not hold up to even the most idiotic attempt at logic. When CNN can no longer spin it, it will all come crumbling down and we are getting very very close.

This issue has also harmed/destroyed family relationships. My favorite niece had a baby a month ago. Me, (being the only unvaxxed one) can't go near him. Eventually I am allowed as long as I am masked. I don't talk vaccine to her but I managed to get my (vaxxed) sister to convince her not to get vaccinated herself. But as soon as the baby was born she got her first shot and is not fully vaxxed! She is 100% clueless. I believe the biggest issue is the main stream media. If they just did their job. Investigative journalism? Facts and data and statistics? It would hold govt accountable. IMAGINE IS THEY REPORTED THE TRUTH!?! Hopefully the damn will break soon.....though not holding my breath.

I just want disappear until next April. And I am a nurse. I was granted an exemption foe now but fully expect to be informed that Biden’s new mandates supersede the hospital’s exemptions. I don’t know what is happening to my profession.

I've never lived without ringing in the ears, so maybe I struggle to be sympathetic to those who suddenly have to deal with it. It's old hat and all. But really? That's the adverse event they want to talk about?
My 80 year old mom never had ringing in her ears but a week after the shot it started. That was 5 months ago…and it hasn’t stopped. It may not be as serious as myocarditis or blood clots. But, I have to wonder, is the trade off of a “vaccine” that doesn’t prevent the illness worth ringing in the ears for the rest of your days.
PS sorry you have had to live with it for life. I don’t recall any other shot that had such wide ranging side effects before this one. In a sane world (or perhaps a non-agenda driven world) these shots would have been stopped.

News didn’t mention deafness either. An acquaintance of mine became permanently 80% deaf in both ears following her second Pfizer jab. Her doc said it was absolutely due to the vax and he is seeing many cases of this in his. I think approx. 54 cases like this have been reported to VAERS. I can only imagine the unreported numbers.

Try looking up CDC/Vaers reports....they show death as well as adverse events. They say it is under reported and is only 1% of actual events. So times this by 10 and you have many, many deaths. This vaccine should have been stopped long ago. There are now medicines that work and prophylactics, therefore it should no longer be considered an emergency. My family will never take this vaccine, in fact, they have ruined it altogether and we will never take another.
Every 'Emergency Authorization' issued should come with 'Mandatory Follow up' for at least sixty days with every patient who takes the jab. No more of this 'Voluntary' VAERS nonsense... Just another convenient excuse to sweep inconvenient truths under the rug

This is actually the most incredible thing to witness, how easy it is for the people in the media to continuously propagandize people when the most basic facts are beyond dispute. England and Israel, with their 80% plus vax rates, wildfire case rates and deaths many multiples of what happened before a single person was vaccinated.
I got the J&J two weeks ago and had very mild side effects (headache and slight fatigue for a day or two) but I did my homework and thought long and hard about it before I did it, as any human being is entitled by God.
In what alternate universe of medical ethics is it appropriate to use force of coercion to get someone to take a vaccine that they otherwise would not choose, or at least not on your preferred timeline? Yep... God is allowing this to happen. I didn't get vaxxed. I decided that God DID make man in His image, wonderfully and fearfully. (I didn't make that description up, for those who don't know (Psalm 139:14)). We have a wonderfully designed immune system. We need to understand how it works and how to nourish it. For me, getting vaccinated with a concoction not tested for efficacy or safety would be tantamount to blasphemy. Why would I trust in a warped speed chemical before I would trust in my God made immune system? Both my wife and I had Covid19 at the same time in August. It was a 10 day event, with about 5 of them really uncomfortable. My state's licensing board and my state's legislature has yet to make vaccination a requirement for practicing. Biden's mandate, however, may prevent me from being paid for tending to Medicare and Medicaid patients.

Their goal is, I would assume, two-fold. Intentionally drive nurses out of hospitals to create more shortages which will be blamed on the unvaccinated, and intentionally sabotage our existing healthcare system in order to push for a socialized one.

I just learned of someone who went to Walgreens for a flu vaccine and they “accidentally” gave her a COVID-19 vaccine. It’s important now to watch the vinyl. Their response was, well “mistakes happen”, “we’re busy”.
I read this, as well. If I were going to get the flu shot this year, which my husband and I are not, based on info from this website, I would demand to see the the vials that the vaccines were being drawn up from. I am not so sure it was a mistake. In our multi-specialty office, the flu vaccines came in pre-filled syringes, so it would be nearly impossible to make a switcheroo mistake. When you use multi-dose vials, you run the risk of cross contamination with multiple needles being inserted through the rubber stopper every time an injection is given. You know you are correctly swabbing the stopper with alcohol, but is your cohort? Once the vials are opened and punctured, and the the expiration date is good, the product can be contaminated by multiple needle penetrations. So, giving the wrong vaccine is only one problem. Just be brave and ask to see the medication being drawn up, and make sure it is the one you requested. Don't get a Covid shot now and be sorry for it later. The lady in the above mentioned story is suing Walgreen's!!

I am a nurse. Hospitals are supported by hundreds multidisciplinary caregivers and support staff.
Care is already unsafe because of the nursing shortage combined with full hospital census.
What happens when the lab techs, radiology techs, environmental services, IT specialists, etc leave. These systems are going to crumble and the public will suffer greatly.
I would like to point out that replacing "traditional" medicine (i.e. what we've been taking for granted up until 2020) with telemedicine and AI-driven medicine has been a goal of influential Big Tech / Big Biotech / their friends in politics before the pandemic. I have not gotten to writing about this (been meaning to for several months.... wish I had a link this second!) but I am convinced that it is not coincidental. Breaking the hospitals will help the overhaul of the medical and patient care industries and usher us closer to the notorious 4IR.
Or On the positive side you could write about the thousands of years of alternative medical treatments that have worked beautifully in other countries. My mother saved my life when she demanded my pediatrician put me on an antibiotic that would fix both what HE thought was my problem and what SHE thought was my problem Luckily, she was right. I had bacterial meningitis. She knew it. He was wrong. She saved my life. TRUST these nurses. My mother has since passed, but she would NEVER take this jab.

The people who have gotten vaccinated* and are pushing for mandates haven't taken into account, I suppose, the fact that the fallout will affect them as well. If there isn't enough staff, they can't take in patients, no matter their vaccine status.
This goes to a deeper issue of putting our safety and health in the hands of a monster bureaucracy that is focused on policy, not individuals. Covid-vaccinated people are being hurt and sometimes killed by rigid rules that are obsessed with Covid and only Covid. (Healthcare isn't about people. It's about Covid policy. Period.) Someone told me about a young man--Covid-vaccinated--who went to the emergency room where I live (Puerto Rico) with respiratory issues. They wouldn't take him up to the intensive care unit till a Covid test came through. The Covid test would take three days. (Some of you might be thinking, "Hold on! There are faster tests. Why didn't they use one of those?" Good question. No doubt because "policy." That's how it goes when bureaucracy gets it claws in. It's always policy over the individual.)
Three days later, the Covid test came through. It no longer mattered. The poor man had died.
Policy was followed to the letter, though, so as far as the hospital was concerned, it was a victory.
It's time to recognize that the government doesn't see us as people. They see us as cattle.
My only consolation is that when cattle charge, they get very dangerous, very fast.

My younger sister is a vaccinated nurse in a small rural NY hospital. She said things are at a breaking point, and they are bringing in nurses from out of state and even out of the country. There are major communication and training issues, as it obviously takes time to learn your way around the facility.
This isn’t new though, there were major issues before the pandemic hit. I delivered my 3rd child in Oct 2019 and the visiting nurse had no clue where anything was, had never met the doctor, and it was frightening for me. (Not to mention half of the nurses seemed to be hacking up a lung outside my door, but that’s a whole other theory...)
Hospitals have become death factories. My father was a surgeon in a small town in Kansas from the 50s-90s. He mourned the ever encroaching government regulations and the demise of what was once a healthcare system that was the envy of the world.

I clearly remember the absolute best way to deal with a pandemic was the rapid build of an entire new medical ecosystem with pop up beds ,isolation tents and ventilation units.Then firing everyone you need to run said units.
I never imagined that my own government would back me into a corner like this. My ability to support myself and my household taken away unless I submit to an emergency order vaccine that has violated all the federal mandates for such an order. I’m a nurse that has worked in the “front lines” since this pandemic began. Prior to becoming a nurse I worked as a Paramedic in the Greater Boston area throughout the swine flu epidemic as well as the SARS epidemic. I never wore a mask let alone got an annual flu shot. I have not had a flu for over 30 years. I’m not an anti-vaxer, my kids were vaccinated, I was vaccinated as a kid. For the past 14 years that I’ve been an RN, working in the ER, I have received the yearly flu vaccine. I’m certainly not the most educated person when it comes to virology but I do know that what our government is forcing down our throats is not working and will never work because of the nature(science) of viruses. This is not about the true science, it’s about power and control. Shameful.
Right. But the million dollar question is, if you are employed at one of these facilities, "what are you going to do about it?" Sure, you can sue...and wait for a legal verdict. That could take years. What do you do in the meantime? The governor(s) know this. And they don't care about you. Youre only a hero when it serves their narrative. I feel for you. Everyone does. I don't know what you could do other than take the vaccine and stay employed there, or move out of NY to a freer state. Even MA is freer than that armpit of the northeast.

I have a family doctor who writes Ivermectin for his patients. We have been on it since January prophylactically; no issues. All of a sudden, health insurance won't cover it. Price out of pocket? $4.50 per tablet and one dose for average weight individual is 4 tabs. They went after the doctors, the pharmacists and now the insurance companies are conspiring to keep Ivermectin out of the picture. This only forces Americans to buy it offshore. Yet they paid Merck $1.2 bil for 1.7 mil doses of a new drug they have in Phase 3 "Molnupiravir". That's $700 per. Molnupiravir is an antiviral. Ivermectin? It's an anti-inflammatory and an antiviral medication which costs pennies to manufacture.
Farr's law? While I am in favor of any and all life saving treatments, ivermectin really just pushes the narrative that cv19 is actually something you should be worried about. Please don't cede power to that narrative. There is no (and has not been any) justified reason to upend our lives, social structure and basic human rights. The "pandemic" will stop itself ( vaxxes muddy the water). Pretending like you need IVM is the same game as pretending CV19 is novel. (The game is the game, is the game) Your risk is infantesimal, if you're not obese and younger than 65.
COVID-19 is perplexing in that it strikes people of all ages and health status so very differently. Some research points to interferon response as among the key deciding factors. At the moment COVID-19 comes calling on your body, within minutes, the first line of defense kicks in. This is the "nonspecific immune" defense of which interferons are a critical component because they send out red alert signals to our cells. If a person is deficient in interferon, the first-line of defense is easily overcome. Evidently this deficiency can happen in two ways: 1. your own antibodies could attack and neutralize its interferons mistakenly. 2. some people have genetic mutations (we all have a number of them, don't forget) which prevents the production of a sufficient amount of a certain type of interferon. Inadequate interferon response might help explain while the folks you'd least expect might be hard hit by the virus, some tragically so. Cytokine storm is the other possibility; I am sure you are quite familiar with that process. Conclusion: Since I do not know how my own body will react once confronted with the virus and I do not know how it will react if confronted with the vaccine, noting that there is a chance, however slim, that either might kill me, I am opting instead to use an FDA-approved anti-inflammatory/antiviral with a very long track record, which has served me well thus far. I am well over 65; BMI 24. PS I still say a Hail Mary when the plane is taking off even though I know the odds of dying in a commercial plane crash is something like 1 in 3.4 billion. :)

Jokes aside, you obviously have done your own research, have made decisions as you see fit, and it is certainly your prerogative to take IVM. I'd say we probably just don't agree on whether that decision is rational. FWIW, I don't know of any negative side effects associated with prophylactic IVM use and IVM certainly does have an impressive track record. In the end, I'd bet we're in agreement on far more issues about the "CV19 crises" than we are not, so as the beetles say I'll "let it be". Elizabeth, you are like me, perhaps. Even if the odds are "infinitesimal", you don't wanna' be the "lucky one" who defies the odds and contracts the disease. It's like lay-off numbers. The pundits will say "oh, only 341 got laid off", suggesting that this is an economic-positive because only a relative few lost their jobs. This is the macro view. However, individuals live in the micro world where if it is YOU who loses a job, any economic positivity is meaningless. Statistics are fine and dandy in the big picture, to spot a trend, for example. But the individuals who fall outside that trend are humans, not numbers. We would all do well to remember that. And not cite "infinitesimal" odds which would be in very poor taste. Particularly at a wake. So protect your household as you see fit. Not according to any "statistics" or "data".
When I hear about the hospitals being full, if you have any health issues, which I do, it always hard to find a bed. And as far as the ER Units, they're always busy. Now add the ridiculous vaccine mandates and you have a full blown catastrophe. The vaccinated are contributing to this latest surge. I personally know 6 vaccinated people who have tested positive for Covid in the last 3 weeks. Two couples, different states, in their 40's. Their kids tested positive after cold symptoms, and they followed with same. Another vaccinated family friend is 80 and just had outpatient monoclonol antibody therapy. She was playing bingo with 100 other seniors the week before.
I am still waiting for someone to explain the logic behind these mandates in that vaccinated can get the virus and transmit it the same as unvaccinated. I'd argue going to the hospital was rarely the best care. When medical personnel go on strike, fewer people die. Medical error is a massive cause of death.

New York may be the only one to have a vaccine mandate but this is going on everywhere. I was an emergency room doctor. Earlier this year, I decided that I had to escape the blue state I had lived in all my life. Although the governor there has not issued a vaccine mandate the situation is the same. Every big hospital group, including my former employer, has mandated that all employees get vaccinated or be terminated. As far as I can tell that is going on everywhere (including my new red state).
I myself refused the experimental genetic therapy (falsely labeled a “vaccine”) when it was “optional” earlier this year. But, there was tremendous propaganda and pressure to take it. And I was honestly surprised by the number of coworkers who were excitedly lining up to get it. And, even many of my colleagues who said they were going to refuse the experimental therapy went and got it anyway.
I honestly don’t believe that enough healthcare workers will refuse to make any difference. I am certainly not employable now. I plan to resist as long as I can. But, I don’t fault anyone who makes the decision to give in and get it. People have bills and families and responsibilities. And it isn’t easy to change careers on a dime. But, I will say that never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined being in this place. All those years of studying and training. All those sacrifices. Decades of providing care for the ill. To be told “take this experimental gene therapy or hit the road?” Maybe if I lived in the USSR. But in the USA? God help us.

Has anyone thought to ask why so many nurses are refusing the vaccine? Did they suddenly become monsters hoping to infect and kill the people they are caring for? I’ll tell you why I, as working RN, don’t want to take this vaccine. Very simple, it hasn’t been completely vetted, there hasn’t been enough research done. It’s not really a vaccine but a therapeutic that’s efficacy hasn’t been established. I believe that what the government is doing is truly going against science. I use well established practices to keep myself safe at work and home, good hand hygiene, stay well hydrated, try to get enough sleep etc. I’m not the picture of health, I’m chubby, but I don’t smoke or drink alcohol. I’ve worked in ER’s all over New England and the west coast. I haven’t had a flu in over 30 years. I think I’m going something right and I don’t need the government to tell me what that should be, especially when it’s completely incorrect.
One could equally well ask why 90% or more of the nurses do not quit under exactly the same circumstances. I'm against the mandates and skeptical of the vaccines, but I believe we need to be rigorous in our analysis and thinking.
One answer to my own question could be that things are actually quite bad, but that most nurses had already been vaccinated by the time the problems became obvious and are now in denial or similar.
I am not aware of the 90% figure, however in a profession who by their nature are selfless, caring, and altruistic, it should be a great concern that nurses have a high rate of vaccine refusal. They should not be ignored.
I agree with you that there is likely a great number that have vaccine regret, not just among nurses, but with the gen population as well. I have never seen however that being evaluated. I don't have to wonder why.

You could homeschool to avoid your children getting this shot. I homeschool 3 kids, something I never thought I would do. But it’s been a blessing and now I wouldn’t have it any other way. The homeschool community is so supportive and helpful. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you ever have questions in the future about it.
To that I would add many qualified and experienced teachers are being fired. They still love teaching children and will be available to tutor and lead pods.
My kids are at a private Christian school which has firmly stated no vaccine mandates ever. Not for students. Not for staff. However, if they are bullied into it, or lose the legal fight, we will turn to homeschooling because the resources are vast, available tutors incredible, and demands for children to be harmed to virtue signaling fears of adults non existent.
It’s funny to read about staffing shortages because the “analyst” seem never to recognize the millions of children being homeschooled is a huge factor. Many found a way to support their families and do more with less by having a parent or grandparent simply quit.

California is pushing to require anyone who homeschools to have a full teaching credential. Cal Ed. Code 48224 already requires some tutors to be credentialed.

Yes, this has been my thoughts from the very beginning. The Left has been trying to change the culture of law enforcement for some time, and their success has been slow but steady. In spite of a few highly-publicized incidents, most cops outright refused to have anything to do with enforcing the lockdowns, mask mandates, etc. This showed the Left they would not be able to use force to control the people until the Left could change who was in police work. These mandates will force out every cop who stands on principles, and even if a few are successful with religious exemptions, they are now identified and will be weeded out. Same thing is going on with the military.

I'm feeling heartbroken and afraid for my 17 and 19 year olds, as well. They have such hope and ambitions for their lives. The youngest dreams of going to the Olympics (he's a Junior Olympian). :-( The oldest wants to live a full life which includes travel, college (taking a gap year), concerts, etc. Vax passports are the most powerful tool to get to our kids. Yes, I couldn't believe what a friend who is very conservative posted about that. He was angry because his doctor wasn't vaccinated. If you are so worried about it then don't go to the doctor. The shots are not safe.
So I assume he’s vaccinated. So he thinks his vaccination doesn’t protect him in which case why should his doctor be vaccinated? If he thinks his vaccination protects him why should his doctor be vaccinated. Have you pointed that out to him?
The issue with the coercion is NOT that the shots are not safe. The shots can be unsafe and still be a net benefit, and then there is reason to take them but not necessarily to force them. The shots can be unsafe but still necessary to control a "deadly pandemic."
The issue is that they are not necessary to control a deadly pandemic:
- The vaccinated are already safe enough there is no emergency for them. It's less dangerous than the flu.
- Even if they weren't, the shots don't reduce transmission enough to mandate. They will not control anything. All the same people will get sick, just more slowly.
- Either of the above would be sufficient alone to make coercion unethical. But it's also unethical to coerce a recovered person to vaccinate. There would be no group or individual benefit, even if the above two were not true, and many of these nurses are recovered people because they worked before we had a vaccine!
Those are the issues. Those three are the issues. "The shots are not safe" is NOT the issue, and you should stop arguing from that point.
I don't believe they had any data prior to dispensing these shots that they were safe and even the corrupted data that we are left with shows the shots are not safe. If you get covid there really is no one to blame. If you take the shot and get a serious side effect, there is only yourself to blame.
As far as what safe means, it's not a statistic because for the people who suffer injury from the shots, it wasn't safe. So in that case it's clear and truthful to say the shots aren't safe. The argument you are making is that for those people, they were the risk that outweighed the benefit to others that you cannot prove. Their risk is obvious, where is the benefit you claim?
You are right and you aren't going to convince most of the health care community that the risk of COVID didn't outweigh the shot risk. It's most unfortunate that the vast majority of care providers still believe everything that comes out of FDA, CDC, and NIH--get it printed in JAMA or NEJM and it becomes the gold standard because few read anything other than the abstract. Medicine is in a sad state when even physicians don't understand statistics or remember the value of natural immunity.

Call their bluff. It may be too late if you haven't forced THEM to make a decision. They put the decision on you. If they try to terminate you, make them explain IN WRITING that you are terminated - they must detail why. If THEY refused an exemption, that is THEIR decision. The work rule or policy is a violation of civil rights and has no legal binding. Companies cannot override individual rights. Requiring medical procedures as a condition of employment is unlawful - Geneva conventions, Nuremberg Codes to which the US is a signature, prohibit forced medical procedures.
I'll also add, you should state that you consider yourself fully employed and will continue doing your job. If they are to consider you terminated, they must put it in writing - say THAT in writing to them as they must put in writing WHY you were terminated. EVERYTHING IN WRITING. Once they "terminate" you, time for a wrongful termination lawsuit.

On behalf of my children and I, thank you. Your sacrifice means everything to us even as we recognize it is unnecessary in the first place for the general public’s access to healthcare.
On a brighter note, where I live in NC the independent medical practices are thriving. It started because people wanted a real physician to guide them, it has grown as unvaccinated (and mostly immune) have lost their jobs for not getting vaccinated. Even though these clinics don’t accept Medicare/ Medicaid, and very few insurance plans, they are thriving because people will pay for actual healthcare from thinking physicians/ nurses concerned for the individual patients.
The medical consolidation has been so detrimental to healthcare. Hopefully you find more fulfilling employment, should you want to, in a practice that cares about its patients.
You have paid into the system for years. I am hoping lawsuits prevail so you at least get the benefits you have earned by actually contributing to the programs.

On Tuesday, September 28th, 2021 I was fired from my nursing position in NY in violation of my right to informed consent regarding taking the COVID-19 vaccine. Your continuation of former, disgraced Governor Cuomo's mandate that all healthcare workers receive the COVID-19 vaccine, or be terminated from their positions is a violation of my right to informed consent. Your willingness to replace NY state healthcare workers with the National Guard or foreign healthcare workers is an absolute disgrace. The current scientific literature does not support this mandate, as there are NO long-term data studies to defend the safety of the current COVID-19 vaccines available. As a NY state resident, taxpayer, and licensed professional I am formally requesting that you cease and desist from this unconstitutional vaccine mandate for healthcare workers.

There are many concierge services starting up across the country with those who have left the medical field because of the mandates. Also Gab social media is promoting jobs and avenues for people who refuse the vaccine find work. There appears to be a second tiered system developing across the country. The important thing is, we need knowledgable and professional people to survive, and more and more people are dying mysteriously (an ex-brother-in-law one of them at 61 with no prior health history) and/or suffering severe disabilities. Just know that there are many supportive people behind you.
A friend of mine died too. The day after the jab, went to the hospital and never came back.

Don't even get me started on this insanity. I am a nurse in New York state. I haven't worked in the clinical setting in years (in fact, I know work as a legal nurse consultant) but I have several friends still working in the acute care and outpatient settings. Some are vaxxed, some aren't. They all agree that this policy is crazy and they don't resent their unvaxxed co-workers at all. What they do resent is the loss of valuable personnel - often with years of experience - all because our temporary governor is trying to "out left" the current AG who is clearly running as a Dem in the upcoming gubernatorial race. It's all politics and there is absolutely no concern given for the the impending collapse. As one of the signs at our weekly protests says, "From Heros to Zeros."
My husband is a volunteer firefighter and they are seeing ripple effects with first responder units. What has normally been a 10-15 minute process to transfer care from ambulance units to hospital ER staff, is now taking up to an hour with ambulances waiting parked until hospital staff can assume care. This is not going to end well.

Our government is trying to do to our hospitals, clinics and emergency response teams the same thing they've already done to our military and police forces. They force the "skillful, experienced and strong-spined" leaders out of those professions and advance their own zombie-drones into the vacated positions.

To show how vicious this is, hospitals are documenting this as a resignation, or even worse, a termination for cause. This prevents the employee from obtaining unemployment benefits. And in the case of a licensed professional, termination for cause is a serious impediment to future employment since this must be disclosed on applications for future employment. Quite simply, they are really sticking it to these workers. And the most hypocritical aspect is that the vast majority are minorities, so they are harming their “POC” constituents who are in all other arenas are victims of systemic racism.

Like the post earlier about the fantasy football commentator who died from covid while fully vaxed. That is a bombshell for them and it makes them really question what they think are absolute truths. If you read the threads about it the other side truly does not believe that it's possible to experience any harm from the vaccine, and they only believe it can help and it's your societal duty to inject something that hasn't been around for more than a year, for the greater good. Very soon enough of their facade will break away and they will see what's left for what it really is, a shell of what might maybe have someday been the truth what does not hold up to even the most idiotic attempt at logic. When CNN can no longer spin it, it will all come crumbling down and we are getting very very close.

News didn’t mention deafness either. An acquaintance of mine became permanently 80% deaf in both ears following her second Pfizer jab. Her doc said it was absolutely due to the vax and he is seeing many cases of this in his. I think approx. 54 cases like this have been reported to VAERS. I can only imagine the unreported numbers.

Try looking up CDC/Vaers reports....they show death as well as adverse events. They say it is under reported and is only 1% of actual events. So times this by 10 and you have many, many deaths. This vaccine should have been stopped long ago. There are now medicines that work and prophylactics, therefore it should no longer be considered an emergency. My family will never take this vaccine, in fact, they have ruined it altogether and we will never take another.
Every 'Emergency Authorization' issued should come with 'Mandatory Follow up' for at least sixty days with every patient who takes the jab. No more of this 'Voluntary' VAERS nonsense... Just another convenient excuse to sweep inconvenient truths under the rug

This is actually the most incredible thing to witness, how easy it is for the people in the media to continuously propagandize people when the most basic facts are beyond dispute. England and Israel, with their 80% plus vax rates, wildfire case rates and deaths many multiples of what happened before a single person was vaccinated.
I got the J&J two weeks ago and had very mild side effects (headache and slight fatigue for a day or two) but I did my homework and thought long and hard about it before I did it, as any human being is entitled by God.
In what alternate universe of medical ethics is it appropriate to use force of coercion to get someone to take a vaccine that they otherwise would not choose, or at least not on your preferred timeline? It's utterly grotesque what has happened to our medical establishment, which is unfortunately the same thing that has happened to every other institution which used to have credibility: The Left.

Yep... God is allowing this to happen. I didn't get vaxxed. I decided that God DID make man in His image, wonderfully and fearfully. (I didn't make that description up, for those who don't know (Psalm 139:14)). We have a wonderfully designed immune system. We need to understand how it works and how to nourish it. For me, getting vaccinated with a concoction not tested for efficacy or safety would be tantamount to blasphemy. Why would I trust in a warped speed chemical before I would trust in my God made immune system? Both my wife and I had Covid19 at the same time in August. It was a 10 day event, with about 5 of them really uncomfortable. My state's licensing board and my state's legislature has yet to make vaccination a requirement for practicing. Biden's mandate, however, may prevent me from being paid for tending to Medicare and Medicaid patients.

I just learned of someone who went to Walgreens for a flu vaccine and they “accidentally” gave her a COVID-19 vaccine. It’s important now to watch the vinyl. Their response was, well “mistakes happen”, “we’re busy”.

I read this, as well. If I were going to get the flu shot this year, which my husband and I are not, based on info from this website, I would demand to see the the vials that the vaccines were being drawn up from. I am not so sure it was a mistake. In our multi-specialty office, the flu vaccines came in pre-filled syringes, so it would be nearly impossible to make a switcheroo mistake. When you use multi-dose vials, you run the risk of cross contamination with multiple needles being inserted through the rubber stopper every time an injection is given. You know you are correctly swabbing the stopper with alcohol, but is your cohort? Once the vials are opened and punctured, and the the expiration date is good, the product can be contaminated by multiple needle penetrations. So, giving the wrong vaccine is only one problem. Just be brave and ask to see the medication being drawn up, and make sure it is the one you requested. Don't get a Covid shot now and be sorry for it later. The lady in the above mentioned story is suing Walgreen's!!

I am a nurse. Hospitals are supported by hundreds multidisciplinary caregivers and support staff.
Care is already unsafe because of the nursing shortage combined with full hospital census.
What happens when the lab techs, radiology techs, environmental services, IT specialists, etc leave. These systems are going to crumble and the public will suffer greatly.

I would like to point out that replacing "traditional" medicine (i.e. what we've been taking for granted up until 2020) with telemedicine and AI-driven medicine has been a goal of influential Big Tech / Big Biotech / their friends in politics before the pandemic. I have not gotten to writing about this (been meaning to for several months.... wish I had a link this second!) but I am convinced that it is not coincidental. Breaking the hospitals will help the overhaul of the medical and patient care industries and usher us closer to the notorious 4IR.
Or On the positive side you could write about the thousands of years of alternative medical treatments that have worked beautifully in other countries. You could also write about people taking back the responsibility for their health by strengthening their immune systems to fight disease and illness - its called the Terrain theory .

My mother saved my life when she demanded my pediatrician put me on an antibiotic that would fix both what HE thought was my problem and what SHE thought was my problem Luckily, she was right. The people who have gotten vaccinated* and are pushing for mandates haven't taken into account, I suppose, the fact that the fallout will affect them as well. If there isn't enough staff, they can't take in patients, no matter their vaccine status.
This goes to a deeper issue of putting our safety and health in the hands of a monster bureaucracy that is focused on policy, not individuals. Covid-vaccinated people are being hurt and sometimes killed by rigid rules that are obsessed with Covid and only Covid. (Healthcare isn't about people. It's about Covid policy. Period.) Someone told me about a young man--Covid-vaccinated--who went to the emergency room where I live (Puerto Rico) with respiratory issues. They wouldn't take him up to the intensive care unit till a Covid test came through. The Covid test would take three days. (Some of you might be thinking, "Hold on! There are faster tests. Why didn't they use one of those?" Good question. No doubt because "policy." That's how it goes when bureaucracy gets it claws in. It's always policy over the individual.)
Three days later, the Covid test came through. It no longer mattered. The poor man had died.
Policy was followed to the letter, though, so as far as the hospital was concerned, it was a victory.
It's time to recognize that the government doesn't see us as people. They see us as cattle.
My only consolation is that when cattle charge, they get very dangerous, very fast.

My younger sister is a vaccinated nurse in a small rural NY hospital. She said things are at a breaking point, and they are bringing in nurses from out of state and even out of the country. There are major communication and training issues, as it obviously takes time to learn your way around the facility.
This isn’t new though, there were major issues before the pandemic hit. I delivered my 3rd child in Oct 2019 and the visiting nurse had no clue where anything was, had never met the doctor, and it was frightening for me. (Not to mention half of the nurses seemed to be hacking up a lung outside my door, but that’s a whole other theory...)
Hospitals have become death factories. My father was a surgeon in a small town in Kansas from the 50s-90s. He mourned the ever encroaching government regulations and the demise of what was once a healthcare system that was the envy of the world.
Gotta love those totalitarians. They should write “This is for your health” on the bottom of their boots so you’re easily reminded when they stand on your head.

I clearly remember the absolute best way to deal with a pandemic was the rapid build of an entire new medical ecosystem with pop up beds ,isolation tents and ventilation units.Then firing everyone you need to run said units.
I never imagined that my own government would back me into a corner like this. My ability to support myself and my household taken away unless I submit to an emergency order vaccine that has violated all the federal mandates for such an order. I’m a nurse that has worked in the “front lines” since this pandemic began. Prior to becoming a nurse I worked as a Paramedic in the Greater Boston area throughout the swine flu epidemic as well as the SARS epidemic. I never wore a mask let alone got an annual flu shot. I have not had a flu for over 30 years. I’m not an anti-vaxer, my kids were vaccinated, I was vaccinated as a kid. For the past 14 years that I’ve been an RN, working in the ER, I have received the yearly flu vaccine. I’m certainly not the most educated person when it comes to virology but I do know that what our government is forcing down our throats is not working and will never work because of the nature(science) of viruses. This is not about the true science, it’s about power and control. Shameful.
Right. But the million dollar question is, if you are employed at one of these facilities, "what are you going to do about it?" Sure, you can sue...and wait for a legal verdict. That could take years. What do you do in the meantime? The governor(s) know this. And they don't care about you. Youre only a hero when it serves their narrative. I feel for you. Everyone does. I don't know what you could do other than take the vaccine and stay employed there, or move out of NY to a freer state. Even MA is freer than that armpit of the northeast.

I have a family doctor who writes Ivermectin for his patients. We have been on it since January prophylactically; no issues. All of a sudden, health insurance won't cover it. Price out of pocket? $4.50 per tablet and one dose for average weight individual is 4 tabs. They went after the doctors, the pharmacists and now the insurance companies are conspiring to keep Ivermectin out of the picture. This only forces Americans to buy it offshore. Yet they paid Merck $1.2 bil for 1.7 mil doses of a new drug they have in Phase 3 "Molnupiravir". That's $700 per. Molnupiravir is an antiviral. Ivermectin? It's an anti-inflammatory and an antiviral medication which costs pennies to manufacture.
Farr's law? While I am in favor of any and all life saving treatments, ivermectin really just pushes the narrative that cv19 is actually something you should be worried about. Please don't cede power to that narrative. There is no (and has not been any) justified reason to upend our lives, social structure and basic human rights. The "pandemic" will stop itself ( vaxxes muddy the water). Pretending like you need IVM is the same game as pretending CV19 is novel. (The game is the game, is the game) Your risk is infantesimal, if you're not obese and younger than 65.
COVID-19 is perplexing in that it strikes people of all ages and health status so very differently. Some research points to interferon response as among the key deciding factors. At the moment COVID-19 comes calling on your body, within minutes, the first line of defense kicks in. This is the "nonspecific immune" defense of which interferons are a critical component because they send out red alert signals to our cells. If a person is deficient in interferon, the first-line of defense is easily overcome. Evidently this deficiency can happen in two ways: 1. your own antibodies could attack and neutralize its interferons mistakenly. 2. some people have genetic mutations (we all have a number of them, don't forget) which prevents the production of a sufficient amount of a certain type of interferon. Inadequate interferon response might help explain while the folks you'd least expect might be hard hit by the virus, some tragically so. Cytokine storm is the other possibility; I am sure you are quite familiar with that process. Conclusion: Since I do not know how my own body will react once confronted with the virus and I do not know how it will react if confronted with the vaccine, noting that there is a chance, however slim, that either might kill me, I am opting instead to use an FDA-approved anti-inflammatory/antiviral with a very long track record, which has served me well thus far. I am well over 65; BMI 24. PS I still say a Hail Mary when the plane is taking off even though I know the odds of dying in a commercial plane crash is something like 1 in 3.4 billion. :)

I'd say we probably just don't agree on whether that decision is rational. FWIW, I don't know of any negative side effects associated with prophylactic IVM use and IVM certainly does have an impressive track record. In the end, I'd bet we're in agreement on far more issues about the "CV19 crises" than we are not, so as the beetles say I'll "let it be". While your risk being >65 is not infantesimal, it's small and most definitely does not warrant you upending your life and surrendering your hard fought liberties.
Elizabeth, you are like me, perhaps. Even if the odds are "infinitesimal", you don't wanna' be the "lucky one" who defies the odds and contracts the disease. It's like lay-off numbers. The pundits will say "oh, only 341 got laid off", suggesting that this is an economic-positive because only a relative few lost their jobs. This is the macro view. However, individuals live in the micro world where if it is YOU who loses a job, any economic positivity is meaningless. Statistics are fine and dandy in the big picture, to spot a trend, for example. But the individuals who fall outside that trend are humans, not numbers. We would all do well to remember that. And not cite "infinitesimal" odds which would be in very poor taste. Particularly at a wake. So protect your household as you see fit. Not according to any "statistics" or "data".
When I hear about the hospitals being full, if you have any health issues, which I do, it always hard to find a bed. And as far as the ER Units, they're always busy. Now add the ridiculous vaccine mandates and you have a full blown catastrophe. And don't forget our southern border being flooded with undocumented people from all over the world and UNCLE JOE promises free health care. I guess it might be too much to say that the Afghan people might need to see a doctor. WTF
The vaccinated are contributing to this latest surge. I personally know 6 vaccinated people who have tested positive for Covid in the last 3 weeks. Two couples, different states, in their 40's. Their kids tested positive after cold symptoms, and they followed with same. Another vaccinated family friend is 80 and just had outpatient monoclonol antibody therapy. She was playing bingo with 100 other seniors the week before.
I am still waiting for someone to explain the logic behind these mandates in that vaccinated can get the virus and transmit it the same as unvaccinated. There really should be a class action lawsuit against this totally illogical unconstitutional and insane mandate. There should be bans of lawyers working together to bring this to the supreme court
Going to the hospital will literally be a death sentence now. It’s no longer the best of the best. It’s the most compliant of compliant. May the odds be ever in your favor if you need medical care.
I'd argue going to the hospital was rarely the best care. When medical personnel go on strike, fewer people die. Medical error is a massive cause of death.

New York may be the only one to have a vaccine mandate but this is going on everywhere. I was an emergency room doctor. Earlier this year, I decided that I had to escape the blue state I had lived in all my life. Although the governor there has not issued a vaccine mandate the situation is the same. Every big hospital group, including my former employer, has mandated that all employees get vaccinated or be terminated. As far as I can tell that is going on everywhere (including my new red state).
I myself refused the experimental genetic therapy (falsely labeled a “vaccine”) when it was “optional” earlier this year. But, there was tremendous propaganda and pressure to take it. And I was honestly surprised by the number of coworkers who were excitedly lining up to get it. And, even many of my colleagues who said they were going to refuse the experimental therapy went and got it anyway.
I honestly don’t believe that enough healthcare workers will refuse to make any difference. I am certainly not employable now. I plan to resist as long as I can. But, I don’t fault anyone who makes the decision to give in and get it. People have bills and families and responsibilities. And it isn’t easy to change careers on a dime. But, I will say that never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined being in this place. All those years of studying and training. All those sacrifices. Decades of providing care for the ill. To be told “take this experimental gene therapy or hit the road?” Maybe if I lived in the USSR. But in the USA? God help us.
Here is the saddest lesson of Covid and of course, the ignorant fools at the top could careless! The lesson to the brave essential workers: NEVER HELP AGAIN! Who could have imagined a year ago they were doing parades for the hospital workers now they are being fired! Insane! We have gone from 1984 and Fahrenheit 451 to Lord of the Flies. This will not end well. I pray someone with a functioning brain will wake up before it’s too late!

Insane! Get this, Alex.. here in Michigan Henry Ford Hospital system bringing in Filipino nurses to fill shortages. The hospital will be helping them with immigration process. They say due to “shortages” but leave out the ref to any mandates. And that Covid is gripping the state. Uh… I don’t think so.
Before there was a vax the UNVAXED nurses and Docs were allowed to work and somehow are alive and still able body health care workers today! Why is now worse than before?
This is the tip of the iceberg. There will be a hospital crisis everywhere in the US. The tyrants running healthcare organizations are ubiquitous. Also, if you think there are shortages now, wait six months. Items you have never seen a shortage of in history will be the norm. That will drive inflation to highs never seen in the US.

Has anyone thought to ask why so many nurses are refusing the vaccine? Did they suddenly become monsters hoping to infect and kill the people they are caring for? Or maybe, just maybe they see more patients than anyone else, including physicians, and have a first row seat into the real situation and have decided logically that the jabs are not safe and not effective?
I’ll tell you why I, as working RN, don’t want to take this vaccine. Very simple, it hasn’t been completely vetted, there hasn’t been enough research done. It’s not really a vaccine but a therapeutic that’s efficacy hasn’t been established. I believe that what the government is doing is truly going against science. I use well established practices to keep myself safe at work and home, good hand hygiene, stay well hydrated, try to get enough sleep etc. I’m not the picture of health, I’m chubby, but I don’t smoke or drink alcohol. I’ve worked in ER’s all over New England and the west coast. I haven’t had a flu in over 30 years. I think I’m going something right and I don’t need the government to tell me what that should be, especially when it’s completely incorrect.

One could equally well ask why 90% or more of the nurses do not quit under exactly the same circumstances. I'm against the mandates and skeptical of the vaccines, but I believe we need to be rigorous in our analysis and thinking.
One answer to my own question could be that things are actually quite bad, but that most nurses had already been vaccinated by the time the problems became obvious and are now in denial or similar.
I am not aware of the 90% figure, however in a profession who by their nature are selfless, caring, and altruistic, it should be a great concern that nurses have a high rate of vaccine refusal. They should not be ignored.
I agree with you that there is likely a great number that have vaccine regret, not just among nurses, but with the gen population as well. I have never seen however that being evaluated. I don't have to wonder why.
