True. In bars, I’m always a fighter pilot lol. To add to the discussion, Walz is wearing a ball cap now with the Specials Forces (Green Beret) insignia, he doesn’t rate that and could result in a beat down from a real Green Beret in a barroom.

He's seriously doubling down on his ambiguity around actual service by wearing a Special Forces ball cap? What's wrong with his judgment??

Expand full comment

His tenure as Governor has made it plainly evident he doesn't have any judgement that matters.

Dude, if you *really* wanted to get laid you’d claim you were a tailwheel pilot. (Source: I am a tailwheel pilot and when I let that slip, beautiful ladies throw me their panties. And I’m a 66-year-old straight woman. 🤣)

What am I doing wrong? My 8KCAB time has netted me zero panties...

A Decathalon? Pull a -3G maneuver and they’ll float like Bob Hoover’s iced tea.

In bars, I am not even a pilot but some who served in the USAF. There is even ambiguity as to enlisted or officer. Maybe with time they will find out that I am one of the exceptions to "How do you know who in the room is a pilot? Don't worry, they will tell you."

As to "he doesn’t rate that and could result in a beat down from a real Green Beret in a barroom." Most that I know wouldn't even waste the time. Over the years, I think that I have met 52 of the 32-35 SAS members that were involved the Iranian Embassy siege so I discount a lot.

Reminds me of a joke - Do you know how you can tell your date with a fighter pilot is half over?

———— He says, “Enough about flying. Let’s talk about me.” LOL

In bars I was an Airborne Ranger Infantry officer and didn’t get laid. But going to bars as an author and sensitive writer was the best ticket. 😎

He went further, talking about the weapons he carried in combat. This lie, and the lie of being a Command Sergeant Major, became part of his political resume. Calculated. This man is unfit for office.

Expand full comment

Yep the progressive libs have trouble with truth. They only say what they think will help them get elected or to hang on to power.

Expand full comment

I thought I read in a couple of places that the officer who dealt with him during his dui stated that he was “unfit for office” as well. Just watching his hyperactive behavior makes me wonder how he got elected to anything.

Agree. Volatile with a temper, the kind of person you avoid unless talking fishing. Not somebody I want to deal with professionally.

Of course, when you're in a bar, trying to get laid, you will say anything that improves your chances ... lies, half-truths, whatever. I agree. Tim Walz is treating us the same way. Truth and honesty isn't important to him. He is just trying to improve his chances.

He really wants to fuck the American people. Hard.

The sad part is that half the country is happily bending over. I’m sad that their ignorance affects me. But I’ll do my part regardless.

And he has a history of doing this. That “weapons I carried to war” comment was from 2019. Recently he’s been more careful with his wording, in a way that if you know the truth he comes off as a dishonest dirtbag but if you don’t scrutinize it, it sounds like he served in Afghanistan.

A good friend of mine is a retired special forces officer and veteran of Desert Storm. I asked him about stolen valor. His response: “Stolen valor is bad, very bad but only an indicator of a worse character disorder which can infect any and all decisions.”

Or like my Dad who was a lifer in the Navy … did not talk about his war experiences (2x in Vietnam) much at all.

Yup. We’ve been married for 36 years and my husband has rarely talked about his experience. He shares snippets at odd moments.

Same here. He never mentioned it to anyone for a couple of decades and only talked about it at all with a fellow Vietnam vet he met at work.

Same with my dad. He never talked about it until he was on his deathbed. It was too painful for him to recall all the friends he lost that fought alongside him in that useless war

Anyone who has "seen the elephant" will tell you Walz is a phony. I knew guys in the Nam who were like him. I was a grunt in USMC worked the DMZ walked point yada yada. I just started laughing when I read his comments and I went to Iraq in 90 with 3rd Armored Div it was a stroll in the woods compared to the Nam :).

I agree with his assessment and Walz has crossed a line that he cannot un- cross. Especially with current and former service members.

I was in a “hazardous duty” zone in uniform but not in a combat zone. So, I will leave the “stolen valor” takedown of Tampon Tim to those who did serve in combat (thanks for your service, you have my undying respect), and the gold star families….please fire at will. Seriously Alex, all we get is “half truth” about “Snitch Line” Walz? Walz is your typical Dem…you can tell he is lying because his lips are moving.

For those who might feel that stolen valor isn’t important to those in the military read this.

Jeremy Michael Boorda (November 26, 1939 – May 16, 1996) was a United States Navy admiral who served as the 25th Chief of Naval Operations. Boorda is notable as the first person to have risen from the enlisted ranks to become Chief of Naval Operations, the highest-ranking billet in the United States Navy

Boorda died by suicide by shooting himself in the chest after leaving suicide notes reported to contain expressions of concern that he had tarnished the reputation of the Navy, following a media investigation into the legitimacy of his having worn on his uniform two service medals with bronze "V" devices, which indicate the awards were for acts of valor. The "V" devices are by regulation only to be awarded to personnel who performed an act of valor in actual combat, and Boorda had not served in combat. Boorda had removed the two medal devices on his uniform almost a year before he died.

I work with a Vietnam veteran. I can't say his name, but he served THREE tours as a platoon commander. His comment on this particular matter "I would like to get a hold of him and twist his ass into a pretzel". Well put.
