5% was a bogus figure if you looked at any of the responses under a criminal like Trudeau’s posts—you had to dig to find the comments where people decried him, even though they were massively liked. Somehow the lowest ratio’d ones always got boosted to the foreground too.

Most of the liberal and democratic elite have benefited from these automated systems, no doubt. In fact, all of social media is likely more of a farce than we’ve been willing to believe.

I see your point but being a Canadian libertarian I don't fall for the crap, I understand what the government is and what is it capable of doing in the name for the security of the state. Justine was afraid of a few fringe minority hateful misogynist racists homophobe trans hating people... but yet the videos I saw were not what the narrative was sated as. The 2 party system down south in the US is a uniparty and ever in Canada it has become a joke as a rag head supports a rag head mocking clown /shrug the WEF has it's grip in our country hard and till a few more people realize this we as a nation are fkd

Was he afraid or did he leverage them for his globalist agenda? Maybe he was both since he's a fink.

As for the grip he has, what a horseshoe up his ass. The NDP are propping him and wouldn't you know it? Jagoff is a WEF member. The party here showing its naïveté is the Bloc Quebecois who side with them on the mandates. But they're from Quebec and Quebec comes with its own set of peculiar corruption and nonsense. With the courts and RCMP standing by doing nothing (in fact protecting the criminality) Canada at the moment doesn't even exist as a functional democracy.

Putting the WEF before your country is treason. Such "Young Leaders" ought to be treated the same as those who collaborated with the Axis powers, another group of intolerant, murderous, ideologues intent on world domination.

Sidebar. When masks began to poison the minds of people spreading like a blob across lands, I began a two-year journey into masks. Aside from the fact they NEVER worked (and the authorities knew it) there was a strange blip in the messaging. As we know, the criminals were all saying the right things about masks prior to April 2020. That they essentially no nothing like Radio-Active Man's goggles. We - they - KNEW this. Yet, in just one month the narrative shifted. So I looked into whether the science changed or if there was a gigantic study that came into over turn decades' worth of data and literature on masks showing they're ineffective in BOTH hospitals (duh, masks are for bacteria) and community settings.

Nothing.

Just the words of TV dinner experts and Fauci who roams the halls of NIAID like Quasimodo.

But the studies that kept popping up usually involved the name Jeremy Howard. But I could never figure out why he seemed to be the point guard in several studies. And then bang. I found out via a site masks4all.org he's a part of that he's from the WEF's 'Young Leaders' program. I have no idea what they teach there but we're finding too many of these Covidians hail from that program.

It has all the features of a cult. Just my suspicion but this is an angle talented investigative journalists should look into. I don't think Davos Man is as benign as we think.

"Branch Davosianism" is most definitely an esoteric cult, an unholy mix of secular "magick" and techno-eschatology, and that may be the clue to unraveling its meaning and intentions.

One of its key prophets is historian, Yuval Noah Harari, an advocate for the emergence of "Homo Deus," and the "Singularity" where artificial intelligence absorbs and renders humanity obsolete. Harari is featured in many presentations by the WWF, and also in conversation with Mark Zuckerberg, Klaus Schwab, Natalie Portman, and other WEF type people, whose actions and beliefs are opaque unless you take their affiliation with the WEF into account.

I suspect that its roots go back much further, given that Klaus Schwab is quite old, though he does seem to accept uncritically Harari's promise that he will be one of the first to gain immortality by having his mind transferred to a machine. I wonder if Schwab has a connection to Maurice Strong, given that they moved in the same circles and have ideology in common, along with secular ritual "magick" to advance their aims.

It is all quite a rabbit-hole, and much of it is hidden in plain sight.

Putin is monster and Russia's attempt to take over Ukraine was inevitable and is not Putin specific. This story is hundreds of years old. But the timing of the war is directly tied to Russia's exit from WEF and Zelensky's support for Trump and making public the results Ukrainian investigation into Burisma corruption, which show how Burisma and a few other companies that were run by Biden, Pelosi, Kerry and Romney, were used to launder "economic development assistance money" into their pockets. With this war WEF planned to kill two birds with one stone. They wanted to silence Zelensky and show Putin who is the boss. So they did all they could to provoke this war now. They continually provoked Russian and continued to supply it with advanced weapons and publicly denied Ukrainian requests for military aid to the very day of the war. 50% of the plan failed. Zelensky did not crumble and his courage inspire people around the world. Zelensky is now more popular than the governments of many Western countries, US, France, German clearly in that list. By talking directly to the people and not the government Zelensky is forcing these governments to act in Ukraine's defense. Yet, these fiends are still trying to make good on their plan to silence him by doing all they can to delay the aid to Ukraine. A lot is promised but the flow is deliberately slow, to not allow Ukraine a quick victory. Meanwhile they are beginning the character assassination campaigns against Zelensky and funding morally bankrupt Ukrainian politicians to spread rumors and innuendo.

Musk is a multi billionaire because he has been shrewd enough to manipulate all the various governmental systems he has been involved with to his own personal advantage, including all the freebies. Biden et al caterwaul ad nauseum about the uber rich needing to pay their fair share, but the fact is, Biden and cronies over the decades created a tax system to advantage the rich so they themselves could take advantage of all the tax loopholes (and they most certainly DO), and people like Bezos and Musk used the very same available tricks and loopholes. Not a single rich elite would actually volunteer to PAY extra taxes they could legally get away with not paying. No way. It's all talking points. Very transparent.

The fake accounts typically have no followers, which is unusual because a real person will usually pick up a few just from interacting with other real people on unrelated topics.

Expand full comment

I doubt that. I’m no expert, but I’ve read that ‘bots’ are programmed w algorithms to retweet and interact w legit accounts. A lot of times I got the sense that an interaction was a little off target, not quite grasping my point, and then I would see many other examples of that in that account’s feed. A lot of these suspect accounts have thousands of followers.

Expand full comment

Those kinds of bot accounts initiate the "following," and real human beings might briefly scan to make sure there is nothing offensive such as pornography before following back, motivated by a vague sense of obligation.

By contrast, the sort of bots used to boost the apparent popularity of politicians usually only follow that one individual, and so have no 'courtesy' followers.

Wow. Maybe this was Musk's plan all along. To expose Twitter BS. Maybe he doesn't and never actually wanted to own it.

My impression of his conduct, at least the public conduct, on this matter is that he has cleared the ground for a devaluation of Twitter one way or another. The company is in turmoil and now being tempted to make a deal to have some kind of an out. Carefully cultivated perception kept them enriched and growing as a near-monopoloy; and altered perception may become their undoing which would include encouraging competitors on all fronts.

Amongst other things they literally define active users as users who tweet - the majority of users who simply want to follow tweets don't exist at all, as far as those guys are concerned.

Basically all Twitter spambot research is pseudo-science of a quality that makes the average COVID study look like a pinnacle of rigorous truth seeking in comparison. If he gets into lawsuits where he tries to defend himself using those sorts of papers Twitter will demolish him in about five minutes flat.

A pity. I was looking forward to a Musk-run Twitter.

Expand full comment

Yet Twitter's own claims, in filings and in promotions to advertisers, would rely on much the same sorts of papers. Much to be revealed in the sausage making aviary. Heh, when does a bird sign?

Expand full comment

No, they don't. Twitter's numbers aren't coming from external third party researchers, they come from their own internal analysis using access to data that others don't have (and cannot have). I realize Twitter is the 'enemy' here but they are the only ones in any position to know the true rates of spam on their platform. Nobody else has enough data access to calculate such a figure. Even Twitter's value can be wrong, because they're trying to measure something that's trying to remain hidden, but it'll certainly be way less wrong than random outsiders can manage.

Expand full comment

Actually, Twitter has already conceded that this aspect of their fundamentals can not be known; and the only reason they do not use 3rd parties is, they say, confidentiality of user info. As if that really mattered to them. Basically, they deny neutral access to the data and, sure, that means only they have enough data access. I do not think it is correct to assert that Twitter's proferred calculation must be way less wrong than a neutral -- (who said random?) -- 3rd party agreed upon by both sides.

I never understood Twitter’s business model. How do you generate revenue if > 25% of the activity comes from non-existent sources?

Expand full comment

Which means that revenue is not the main purpose.

Expand full comment

By lying to advertisers.

Expand full comment

lying to advertisers is the lesser issue IMO (but yes), the real issue is that it is run as a propaganda platform, financed by who knows whom

interestingly the Tweeter "truth squad" did not ban the fake accounts.

Ah well, the bots were, um, "mostly true" accounts, you see...yes, that's it!

Can you say "Bait & Switch" boys and girls? I knew you could - Mr Rogers

Force them to reveal company crushing info with a buy offer? If so very well played Mr Musk, very well played indeed.

Again Musk WINS in the court of Public opinion. The exposure is priceless

TWTR-the-business: eliminate half your content because "insurrection", and then charge your actual customer-advertisers to show ads to a bunch of bots. Thanks for the reveal, Elon.

I have a question regarding these bots. I am not a tech nerd. Should they be viewed as AI? If so, then, is the promise of AI an empty one?

Expand full comment

twitter bots are usually simple scripts that post a pre-defined response/set of responses to trigger words; or just post random stuff up.

I wouldn't consider it AI, but it's about on par with the twitterati in intelligence

Alex please get this story out. People need to be contacting their state reps. This is literally the most important story of the year. If you don’t want the WHO mandating vaccines for you and your family or calling the shots during the next health emergency people need to be contacting their state reps. https://www.theblaze.com/op-ed/horowitz-states-must-pre-emptively-nullify-any-who-international-pandemic-regulations

Seems like 90+% of the responses to @pfizer tweets are making fun of Pfizer. Those are the real tweets. Not the ones posted by vaxbots, asking when they can get their 6 month olds shot up.

Hmmm this Twitter buyout /fight and resulting scrutiny could bring surprising benefit

This company is not worth $40+B. It was frothed up on market liquidity and artificially low interest rates. New times are coming. Musk is smart.

Musk was never sincere. It was hopium all along. That's his role in the script.

I often characterize myself as "barely across the digital divide" and even I know that social media fully has the capability to verify whether users are real persons. Come on! This revelation about Twitter could be grounds for "no-brainer regulation" that Big Tech clean out its sites, one would hope.

If they haven't already, they'll NDA Elon or his henchmen and show their work. Elon will then make a rational business decision. If their work supports their disclosures Elon will find a way to back down. If it doesn't, he'll press for a discount. Their private data supporting their claims will come out in any lawsuit to force Elon to close the deal or pay the break fee. If their reporting is optimistic but close to the "truth" reflected in their private data, it's in everyone's interest to knock a few bucks off the sales price and close the deal. If they've been completely lying to the SEC and public, maybe Elon ices the deal and hopes Parag gets hauled away in cuffs for investor fraud. Elizabeth Holmes.

Elon is too smart to allow a genuine misunderstanding to cause him to walk away from the deal, only to lose the break fee case in court when the judge and jury see the same private data he will see now.

This is just full-court-press public M&A. When no White Knight emerged during the bid process, it became clear to Elon that he had the whip hand. Now he's using his advantage to score a few bucks, rather than let it slip away unused.
