1) our understanding of viruses and diseases and mortality is vastly skewed. Our understanding of health is flawed so when we see reactions we call sickness, we don’t know how they got here, if other “treatments” gave rise to them, or so. Both you and Alex have pointed out serious problems with big pharma BUT when you make blanket statements about vaccines and drugs it’s wrong and dangerous. Why? Because as you can see from the comments on this article there are many people who have formed very negative opinions about big pharma, doctors and hospitals and listen to you. Some of it is deserved but if you don’t vaccinate your children against certain childhood illnesses MMR, tetanus, polio it’s a mistake. As a nurse, I agree with this assessment Franklin. Trauma care and early-intervention surgery for cancer are important. But the drugs are way out of control. When my mother-in-law was at the end of her life, she was placed on hospice. Their protocol is to take away almost all medications. She became a new person, the one we had always remembered. All the drugs had altered her personality. You are right in that it is up to the individual to just say no to some of these interventions.

News media has tried to correct the context of that statement...but we should believe him.

What I am most interested in is the flu vaccine itself. It was mandated for pre-K students in the NYC public school system. Then we started seeing a significant increase in the incidence of Type 1 (insulin-dependent) diabetes in 4 & 5-year-old students, so much so that the NYC DOE had to hire 5 certified diabetes educators (one for each city borough) to provide guidance to school nurses.
I also suspect that annual flu vaccines in the senior population may have something to do with all the dementia (but there are so many potential culprits - statins, PPIs, HTN meds, etc.).
I'm also interested in the HepB vaccine as a cause of gastrointestinal illness (reflux, irritable bowel,
etc.). After it was mandated in the NYC school system we saw a huge increase in the incidence of food allergies & intolerances (by my estimate as much as 10% of the student population).
