“That doesn’t mean they want platoons of masked, armed men setting up stakeouts outside schools to catch people whose only crime is being in the United States”.

We don’t?

Alex Berenson's avatar

You may. Somewhere between 65-80 percent of the country does not.

MoodyP's avatar

Does not what? Masked men or deported illegals?

You have a better way to get them out? Or you just going to let them stay and mooch of your taxes, until they commit another crime?

No doubt you’d feel the same if one of your kids was raped, stabbed, and left for dead on the side of the road…by someone who was “just in the country illegally”.

Right?

I’ll wait.

FKessel's avatar

Yes, cut off all government support. Give them a ticket home, but no support here. Go to the prisons in the US and remove the prisoners who are not citizens.

barberstar's avatar

Wait, wait, wait...they will just come back in here! I live in Texas. You must live farther north.

Ryan Gardner's avatar

funny, cuz i remember 65% of people wanted to wear masks to breath their own fear during the scamdemic

Dark Thomas's avatar

it really depends on what their tv tells them to do

Brogan12's avatar

The collective hive mind...useful idiots

Ryan Gardner's avatar

"we'll have what we're having, please"

PDG's avatar

Wait, Adolf Fauci said do it. Wear two masks, so we must follow and goose step in order!

MoodyP's avatar

Yep. And it’s the same people getting paid to protest now, who would have turned you in to the authorities then, for not wearing a mask.

Maria's avatar

All day long Ryan, all day long. There's a ring of hell that's worse than anything Dante could imagine for those bastards that destroyed our rights.

Ryan Gardner's avatar

The masks give me visceral disgust. There's still young people wearing them. The good news is we can now easily identify serial killers in training.

RioRosie's avatar

Sorry, Alex, I don't believe those numbers. I strongly doubt the reliability of polling.

I want the illegals gone. ALL gone.

That said, Kristi Noem is a lightweight. Ditto for Pam Bondi. Kash Patel is a bitter disappointment.

Lekimball's avatar

Yeah, I agree with you totally. Even Kash Patel is a pain. But Kristi and Pam should go for sure.

Louise C's avatar

Pam Bondi should have been gone when she told someone in a restaurant about the Epstein files before she told the public. When she was caught on tape by James O'Keefe she looked foolish and unprofessional. That ruined her credibility for me.

Antonia Shusta's avatar

I think you'd be surprised - it would be terribly politically incorrect to admit that one is relieved to see this very aggressive approach, especially in the face of the opposition to ICE which is likely in part funded by foreign adversaries as well as leftist forces that simply want to destabilize the US.

Dark Thomas's avatar

this is an excellent point.

it's one thing to tell a pollster you don't want ICE arresting school children.

but then, perhaps another to go out and vote for the guy who says he is going to do exactly that.

Lekimball's avatar

I don't believe those polls on that. People do not want illegals here at all. They may want it handled and messaged differently. But not only are those polls wrong, the wording is problematic.

Patti Van Burkleo's avatar

I would like to hear know the question was phrased. Illegal is illegal. I doubt picking people up outside schools is a few and far between event or a one-off. I agree let’s get the worst first but fixing Biden’s lawlessness is an obvious complicated task and these perceived optics is right up the left’s alley. Trump has a short timeline as POTUS so I understand his aggressiveness. Congress needs to get off their asses and fix this mess

RK&TW's avatar

Congress is filled with inept know-nothings (mostly Dems). I wouldn’t trust them on or off their asses. So sad to say.

Patti Van Burkleo's avatar

Oops….know not hear

JB Santise's avatar

I think you know that depends more on the phrasing and positioning of the question than any real opinion.

Ryan Gardner's avatar

bingo. almost always the case. there's a reason the polls with Trump are always wrong. it's deliberate.

Lekimball's avatar

Yeah, the wording on those polls is problematic. They may not like how it's being messaged and handled, but that doesn't mean they want illegals who aren't "criminals" to stay. I don't think they do.

MoodyP's avatar

Looks like you are getting ratioed quite badly. Just sayin…

Mark Wallace's avatar

The elites in the United States and Europe want lots and lots of both legal and illegal immigrants in order to depress salaries and wages of the middle and working classes. It’s all about supply and demand. Increase the work force and you can hold wages down. There’s not an affordability problem in the US, there’s an income problem— for the average guy.

Thomas Anderson's avatar

Yeah, I call BS on that. We didn’t vote for “only the worst of the worst”, we voted for “the biggest mass deportation in history”. And I don’t believe that half of us changed our minds.

NYCLAX53's avatar

Alex where are you getting your percentages? Bunk

Lori's avatar

Is that what they're doing? The Iowa school superintendent had a fairly long criminal record that included possession of narcotics with intention to sell, unlawful possession of a firearm and reckless driving when ICE arrested him. Or do you mean the 24-year-old man who was attending high school while posing as a teenager? Or do you mean the woman who fled into a daycare after fleeing a traffic stop (itself a crime)? They all need to be deported. Buffoons who are unfortunately willing to risk life and limb to keep them in the country by doxing and interfering with ICE can't set policy.

barberstar's avatar

Thank you, Lori! Well said.

working rich's avatar

Portray them as heroes and the public’s opinion will change in a week. The real criminals were FJB and Mayorkas. Treason.

Joseph Kaplan's avatar

“Whose only crime is being in the United States”?! Speaking of tone deaf

MoodyP's avatar

So…it’s not a crime to cross the border without permission? Or purposefully overstay your visa?

Ok then.

Let’s ask the family of Ruby Garcia what they think. Ruby was shot dead during a carjacking in MI in 2024 because the illegal from Mexico whose only crime was, well, being in the United States without permission just wanted her car. She didn’t want him to have it so he killed her.

Let’s check in with the family of Megan Bos. She was decapitated at a bus stop last year while she waited for a bus. Her killer? Another Mexican whose only prior crime was, wait for it, being in the U.S. illegally.

I could go on for pages and pages and pages.

All you bleeding hearts are disgusting

Ryan Gardner's avatar

i think he's being sarcastic

Joseph Kaplan's avatar

I think you didn’t understand my comment. You made my point

MoodyP's avatar

Ya. One of those cases where, upon further reflection, I acted with haste, lack of awareness, and was to quick to respond.

in my defense, my dad used to tell me that once I passed age 70 I could claim the problem, any problem, resulted from being elderly. LOL.

Lynne Hallman's avatar

You would be wrong. You want millions of illegals for what reason I do not know. The majority of us want them all out. This is how rounding up illegals and deporting them looks. It is how it is done.

MoodyP's avatar

Great comment. And that’s exactly correct. That’s how it’s done. Love it.

barberstar's avatar

And the face coverings ICE and BP wear help (don't prevent) them avoid doxxing, an evil tactic of bullying them and their families. Deport the doxxers!

Ryan Gardner's avatar

the real problem is the panic after 9/11. if you combine 22 agencies into a gigantic sprawling bureaucracy what should we expect? i tell you what you can expect; an unaccountable colossal blob of pencil-pushers who create mission creep for job security without a coherent mandate.

MoodyP's avatar

Yeah I agree with all of that. But Alex is clueless. And his 65-80% is BS.

Check Valve's avatar

Except thats not their only crime and you don’t address the platoons of agitators, protestors, and domestic terrorists being masked, why do they get a pass? PS: according to the FBI definition of Domestic Terrorism, the two American citizens who were killed, were Domestic Terrorists.

MoodyP's avatar

Alex basically got his ass handed to him on this one. Deservedly so on a ratio of about 100-2.

RK&TW's avatar

Nah….remember: domestic terrorists are moms who don’t want teachers telling their 5 yr olds they can be a boy OR girl. Can’t make this s.it up!

Dark Thomas's avatar

like pokemon - "Gotta catch 'em all!"

Dena's avatar

The masked, armed men & women of ICE wouldn’t find it necessary to do law enforcement’s job of hunting down & arresting illegal criminals if local LE & politicians cooperated with ICE by detaining & turning over the illegals to them as required by law. It’s peacefully & successfully happening in non sanctuary cities. We just don’t hear much about it. Instead of cooperating with ICE, if an illegal criminal happens to get arrested in a sanctuary state for a crime, they are let go & back on the streets to offend again. Some arrested dozens of times & released. Another catch & release program that harms / kills American citizens.

MoodyP's avatar

Indeed. As you correctly point out, the chaos shown on CNN is only happening in certain places. The reasons for that are obvious. But they don’t want you to know what they are.

Great post.

Rick Reed's avatar

As soon as I read that paragraph I thought it came straight from The View.

MoodyP's avatar

Haha. Yeah I’m worried Alex might be reading the NYT again.

Dena's avatar

He seems to veer more to the left every now & then.

Eric Lucas's avatar

I don't want masked, armed men roaming the streets at all, no matter who they "catch".

Lekimball's avatar

Then liberals should stop doxing and attacking them so it wouldn't be necessary. Please.

Eric Lucas's avatar

The two US citizens murdered by ICE were attacking no one. They were slaughtered for looking disobedient, which is exactly why Noem killed an innocent puppy years ago. Watch the videos. Both Minneapolis victims were just trying to do what the SS agents told them to.

JDJAWS's avatar

Every word of Eric's reply is nonsense including "which" and "the."

Lekimball's avatar

Driving your car at an officer is attacking someone and the other guy was also attacking officers on video. Get real. That doesn't mean the messaging was correct on it.

Dark Thomas's avatar

the other guy, pretti, put himself in a bad situation.

running into the street after ice warns you and pushes you back to the sidewalk repeatedly is going to get you arrested. this was probably his goal.

however, they are going to find your gun and be on high alert. "does he have another one?"

an accidental discharge or whatever happens is all it takes to set off the powder keg.

Louise C's avatar

Renee Good had been blocking ICE vehicles all day. That was her JOB, to interfere so they couldn't arrest criminal illegal aliens. The agents ordered her to get out of the car at first. She instead drove forward while one agent had his hand inside her car trying to get her to stop. She then sat in her car swaying to the music on her radio. It's on video. She was told to get out of the car again. She stepped on the gas while her wife yelled, "Go baby, go!" She hit a LE officer and he responded. When you're ordered to get out of the car by LE, you don't play a game rolling back and forth in your car.

Eric Lucas's avatar

And for that she was summarily executed? The guy emptied his entire magazine at her at pointblank range. Sounds like the Gestapo to me.

I am a US citizen and a voter, and I do NOT WANT this kind of official terrorism from my government. Period.

Dark Thomas's avatar

well, you should definitely vote for someone who will empower you to run over cops, but in the meantime i would advise against it.

NYCLAX53's avatar

Did you READ the book? Have you ever lived on a farm? No. You can’t wait for a vet.. have you had a horse break a leg and then the suffering animal needs to be out down immediately? Do you understand these people had crossed the line many times and did not repeatedly comply? Who behaves like this when armed LEO are in motion? They made the choice to keep it up…

Eric Lucas's avatar

I live on a farm and grow nearly all our family's food. What we don't grow we buy from a community of other farmers, and not one of us would shoot a puppy for misbehaving. There are many other solutions that don't involve murder.

Again: Your position is, if a person doesn't do what an LEO tells them, exactly and instantly, the officer has the right to execute them on the spot?

That's just wrong. I'm not changing my mind.

Sue Thompson's avatar

so why are you attempting to change ours?

MoodyP's avatar

Laken Riley has joined the chat.

NYCLAX53's avatar

Ok you would feel differently if an armed lunatic was patrolling your kids school

Yuri Bezmenov's avatar

Voters want mass deportations of every illegal. Biden let in 10 million and there are likely 20 million more - if we can’t remove them, we don’t have a country. Noem, Bondi, and Patel are the weakest links in the admin. The DNC is stoking an insurrection by encouraging its rabid activists to attack ICE. Pretti and Good are sad examples of millennial baizuo kamikaze: https://yuribezmenov.substack.com/p/millennial-baizuo-kamikaze-pretti-good

SteveInHB's avatar

Agreed. Pretti and Good were epitomes of “useful idiots”.

I guess Donnie boy isn’t so great about picking people who are supposedly great at the job he picks them to manage!

That was a big F up Mr. Trump, and while I don’t have any vested interest in Democrats or Republicans, who I call Demoncraps or Repugnocants, at the end of the day, I truly think that every GD person in Washington DC is corrupt, immoral, uncaring, and incompetent!

All you entrenched partisan losers who want to suck Democrat or Republican genitals, have a fun day!

LL Smith's avatar

We have no issues with masked men! They are masked for a reason and you know why!

They are being threatened, doxxed, etc. incl their families. They wouldn't have to be masked if they weren't being threatened!

How are they not terrorists! Attacking ICE officers physically, ramming vehicles? Fighting with them? Throwing things at them. I guess you missed the part where an agent lost his finger when a 'protestor' bit it off? Or the ones hit over the heads? These so-called 'protestors' are domestic terrorists !

A bit intellectually dishonest Alex. My word! Your liberal crazy shows through on these types of missives. Did you think deportations were going to swimmingly after the previous four years???

Osueyedoc's avatar

Bingo, he masks his liberal bias more often than not. This was a big time NOT!

Josh Passell's avatar

If Stephen Miller is damaging President Trump’s immigration policies, hand me a sledgehammer so I can help him. My point is that Miller IS those policies, and that tens of millions illegal aliens are tens of millions too many. We’ve done everything to convince them to repatriate themselves, including cash and one-way tickets. Miller is one of the few who takes next steps when first steps aren’t enough.

Lekimball's avatar

Miller just made a mistake echoing Kristi Noem once, but overall he is not weak like she is.

It's True's avatar

The only thing I disagree with is the part about “whose only crime is…”. If you are breaking the law, there are consequences. End of discussion.

cjmmd's avatar

If you're keeping tabs, put me down for wanting armed, masked men taking people off the street for being here illegally. When the left stops doxxing them and targeting these Federal Officers I'm sure they'd be happy taking the masks off. When the illegals stop running or gunning them I'm sure they'd even put down their arms (that they are allowed to carry and, wait for it, USE as necessary). You have become a member of the "secure borders but once they get here they cannot be touched brigade." Ridiculous, Alex. Next, you'll be calling for "comprehensive immigration reform". Putting themselves at risk and, parenthetically, ICE agents, is not a nonsense crime. No officer should undergo any of that at any time. You sound like Mamdani's people with "it's just a snowball fight". You are right that it's all a bad look but that was the purpose of the protests, no? This was not peaceful anti-abortion protesters staging a sit-in (for which the full weight of the law was thrown at them.) This strategy was "Hope something happens that engages the media and the stupid people living with the sin of suicidal empathy."

R G's avatar

Noem out, fine. But in my mind Miller is a keeper.

Ryan Gardner's avatar

the problem is we just lost a senator.

he seemed uncomfortably surprised. kinda that "oh crap, this just got real" look is peak relatable. like me trying to process life on a Monday morning after a shitty weekend.

Free in Florida's avatar

Ryan, fortunately, Every single county in Oklahoma votes Republican so we will safely get another Republican. Whether the more RINOish governor will appoint MAGA will be a wait and see I guess.

Michelle Enmark, DDS's avatar

This was my first reaction, Ryan, although Free in Florida is correct, thankfully. Living in OK part time, I can attest to the general attitude of voters.

John Lester's avatar

I noticed that also. Seems they can't count that well in DC.

Matthew McWilliams's avatar

Alex,

Actually, a large number of us do want masked men rounding up illegal immigrants (all of them) and deporting them back to their countries of origin. The protests in Minneapolis and other cities are indeed organized. In fact, it was demonstrated that government officials in Minnesota were part of that organization.

If someone were just loitering in the country and minding their own business, that would be one thing. But these people aren't doing that. They are actively taking jobs and resources away from American citizens and costing taxpayers money. Beyond that, they are destroying the high trust societal culture that is necessary to have freedom and good public services.

The fundamental point is that a modern, developed western country simply does not need mass unskilled immigration from the Third World. It certainly doesn't need immigration from tribal, corrupt, low trust cultures.

Michelle Enmark, DDS's avatar

Agreed, Matthew McWilliams. We definitely do not need more who refuse to assimilate and take advantage of our social programs for years on end. Immigration can be beneficial to a country if the immigrants are thoroughly vetted and have something to contribute. When my great grandparents came to the US from Italy, they had to have a sponsor here in the US whose responsibility it was to help them if they needed it, because the government was not going to do that.

Louise C's avatar

Excellent post. Most on the left do not think about the ramifications from "those people who just crossed the border".

SR Miller's avatar

Alex, you start off with an undefined phrase: "reasonable immigration restrictions." Ya’know, I don’t know anyone who’s against "reasonable immigration restrictions" but immigration implies permissible, legal entry into a land. The way too many leftists (cough democrats cough) define "reasonable immigration restrictions" implies home invasion and occupation are perfectly natural methods of acquiring a place to live.

Is that what you mean?

Granted, the chasm between the principles America once espoused and the policies of the Democrat party have left me with few friends/acquaintances sporting a "d" in their bio so this next thought may not be for truly most Americans: most of the people I know want legal immigration of people who would be an asset to America and truly believe in American ideals. Unfettered invasion and unrestricted immigration has resulted in whole neighborhoods/communities espousing unAmerican ideas.

Personally, I think immigration needs to be halted for years/decades to come until what’s happened over the previous 4 year term and past ¼ century to be dealt with. YES, I’m all for a heavy hand in dealing with people who invaded my country and then began sucking at the government teat - as if it was their natural born right to instead of a resource that was created out of my blood sweat and tears. YES, I’m all for doing away with this unconstitutional and immoral "birth right citizenship" nonsense. As is typical of leftist, the intent and wording of the 14th amendment has been twisted around for their ends, not for the benefit of America and those here legally.

Free in Florida's avatar

SR Miller - beautifully stated. Your logic and common sense are appreciated.

SR Miller's avatar

Aww, I almost blushed - TY 😊 😉

Louise C's avatar

I think a pause in immigration is an excellent idea. Eisenhower did it after legal mass migration during the last part of the 19th century and first part of the 20th century

SR Miller's avatar

Yes, about the time Ellis island was shuttered (I think), after an influx of fewer legal immigrants over a longer period of time than the 10/15/20+ million invaders over the past 5-20 years. I’m also of the mind that immigration was halted more than once - may have been only twice or 3x. Anyway, the purpose was to give America a breather to adjust to the "sudden" increase in population - something I thing we def need.

Louise C's avatar

It also gives immigrants time to adjust to their new country. When 10 - 20 million illegals enter in 4 years, they start their own communities like the Somali. They've been in MN for 30+ years in a largely Somali occupied city, Minneapolis. 70% of the Somali are on some government assistance program even though they have been in the US for 10+ years. They don't have jobs outside of Minneapolis because they never learned English. This is not good for the US. They have citizenship but their allegiance is to Somalia. They take money out of the US economy and give it to family back home. Some money has been traced to the terror group, Al Shabob. US Rep Ilhan Omar has said that she represents Somalia in the US Congress.

BigDrop's avatar

Alex, maybe if a couple of the millions that Biden/Harris let in without vetting sets off a dirty bomb in Times Square or the financial district, you'll be whistling a different tune about how much Stephen Miller's rhetoric is upsetting you.

God Bless a Free America's avatar

He didn’t do it because of her “inflammatory” comments on illegal immigration. Stephen Miller would be gone long ago that were the case. As Clay and Buck accurately pointed out, she ran a $200 million dollar tax-payer funded ad program as early 2028 campaign ad for herself. Plus she threw Trump under the bus publicly saying he approved it.

Farmer's avatar

Endless referring to Trump voters as Nazis is fine, but labeling radicalized individuals who violently interfere with law enforcement as Domestic Terrorists is not okay? Make it make sense...

Andrei Stieber's avatar

As a legal immigrant, I find “people whose only crime is being in the United States” offensive. It IS a crime, since misdemeanors ARE crimes. And the “masked men” are masked for obvious reasons. As for the “disastrous” Minnesota operation, it is ALL on the Minnesota (Democrat) leadership and their refusal to cooperate with ICE, as well as the real insurgency organized in Minneapolis. Why Waltz, Ellison, etc. are not arrested for actively defying federal laws is further proof of the Deep State’s fight against accountability.

BigDrop's avatar

Stephen Miller's inflammatory comments?? If we had 4 more years of what he is fighting mad about and it would be over for this nation.

RES's avatar

Alex,

Seriously, man……. Two people were killed but by the simplest of definitions from the FBI website, they were domestic terrorists.

“Domestic Terrorism for the FBI’s purposes is referenced in U.S. Code at 18 U.S.C. 2331(5),

and is defined as activities:

• Involving acts dangerous to human life that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United

States or of any State;

• Appearing to be intended to:

o Intimidate or coerce a civilian population;

o Influence the policy of government by intimidation or coercion; or

o Affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination or kidnapping;

and

• Occurring primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the United States.“

Ted VO's avatar

It will require radical action to purge the many millions of illegal aliens from the country. It means ignoring court orders and arresting politicians who interfere. Noem's problem was she was an incompetent airhead.

RichT's avatar

Agree. I blame them for being too soft in MN. Arresting the ones interfering immediately might have been a better course
