We've been voting for the best of the worst for a couple of decades. The last 3 especially. No one in office since 2016 has been who I would have voted for in the primary if it hadn't been decided before it got to my state.
Based on the mayors and governors of late I don't know that either is a great option honestly. I don't want Newsome, Hochul,Spanberger, Mamdani, or any other of these nuts choosing my Presidential choices. What I do wish is that the primaries didn't essentially end before my state even gets a say. I was for Hermain Cane or Rubio in 2016, but everyone dropped out by the time the FL primary came around. I was for Desantis in 2024 when the same happened. Sad part is if DJT would have won in 2020 we would be past this nonsense and moving forward. Had the Dems not been allowed to rig the system during covid that would have happened.
My belief is that people who run for office more often than not, do so because they like power. The people who want power are willing to do what it takes to win and often do while those with morals won't and get crushed. We truly are racing towards "Idiocracy" being a documentary instead of a spoof.
