My husband and I are gay and conservative and we Iive in a conservative state. Most of our friends are straight and conservative and none of them have ever made us feel unwelcome. Most don't "disapprove" of us but a few do and that's fine because its their God-given right as Americans. However, there is no such thing as the "LGBT" lifestyle you referenced. That is a left-wing delusion that lumps very different people together in an effort to form political alliances and divisions. I concur the delusional alliance created a radicalized group primarily of transexuals, and that the alliance was madness from its inception. I agree with Charlie Kirk that we should all think of ourselves first as children of God instead of defining ourselves by sexual identities. Perhaps then society can heal from the psychic wounds inflicted by the left-wing weaponization of emotional vulnerability.
And I agree my choice of words was incorrect. I had a cousin that was gay, a cousin that is lesbian and granddaughter who is lesbian. The gay cousin moved to NYC and cut off contact with the family. We heard he died probably of AIDS and was buried in the potters field in NYC. May he RIP. Hope he wasn’t alone when he died.

One of the things that pried me away from the left was realizing how the creators of popular culture have lied to me about my own countrymen. I grew up in a town in northern New Jersey in the orbit of New York City and moved to the city as a young adult woman. I had little experience of most of the rest of the country. Even vacations were usually spent in Massachusetts. I had seen "Deliverance" and the end of "Easy Rider," movie after movie in which much of the rest of the country was filled with racist, sexist, homophobic good-old-boys who were violent.
There was no one huge revelation, but as I got older, travelled a little, and got to know more about the world, I began to realize that it was all a great big lie. It's an important lie to the left. When we moved to South Carolina 15 years ago they were horrified and worried. Only my best friend has ever visited and she loves it. Now that we are retired she comes several times a year. In a 2 hour phone call last night with one of my husband's close friends he still spouts such nonsense about where we live and doesn't even realize how ridiculous his comments about SF. He went to a parking lot and there were no cars broken in so he thinks it is a good neighborhood. We don't argue with our friends but even my kids hate going to San Francisco now. It is not the city I grew up in. When my Dad died last year I told my brother and our friends we would no longer visit. If they want to see us they need to come here. I think California people are the most delusional. They really don't see how awful it is, the infrastructure (my friend has replaced three rims in 5 years because of potholes), the cost of living, the crime, the filth and especially the arrogance and self-righteousness. You can have a great life in a lot nicer places. So glad I never have to go there again.
We moved to south Georgia over six years ago after being lifelong New Englanders. I love it, and I am struck by how little racial discord there is. It might be because we are in the Bible belt, and so many people of different races and ethnicities worship together. I love when the cashier at Walmart tells me to “have a blessed day”. No doubt there was a great deal of racism in the past, but it seems to be largely gone now, at least in my limited experience.

None had any survival skills. They were rescued by the “red-neck” locals who treated them wonderfully. He then imagined how different things would be if the men hadn’t been so nice. Hence, the movie.
I'm sure each story came about individually. Without conflict, you don't have a plot. Recently, I read about a new movie called Savant. According to what I read, it was based on an article that appeared in Cosmopolitan about a woman who infiltrates extremist groups online. The original article had little information about the groups she infiltrated, but the only one mentioned was an Islamic group. If the trailer is any indication, in the new movie she infiltrates a group of straight, white rednecks. I can understand the desire to keep away from the potential controversy by not having a minority group as the villains. The motivation may be cowardice or a lack of imagination, but the collective result is a demonization of three-quarters of the country.
I don’t have exact numbers but I remember a study done during the 60’s or early 70’s about TV murderers on the 3 networks. Almost 50% of the fictional murderers were white businessmen, despite the fact that this group of men was actually the male demographic that committed the very least number of murders. We live in an Empire of Lies.

I don't know one conservative who gives a damn what adults do in the privacy of their homes. Where the Trans movement loses me, and others, is by insisting that everyone accept bow to all their demands, i.e.:
-Trans women should be allowed in biological women's locker rooms and bathrooms.
-Trans women should be able to compete on the playing field against biological women.
- Kids under 18, who are confused about their sexual identity, should be always be given 'gender affirming care' that permanently mutilates their body, and drugs that may cause psychosis.
- And if a parent refuses to agree to gender assignment surgery for their child, it's the government's right to mandate it.
The trans movement has become so extreme in their ruthless demands, that they have lost normies who otherwise would support them. And that's on them.
The trans movement is by & large a social construct ( to borrow a leftist phrase). Talk to boomers & gen x - it was a pretty rare occurrence. Once the communists took more control of schools & colleges they found new ways to subvert & damage our country, through our kids. Most young people who think they’re trans are not. The cultural obsession with affirming their confusion instead of helping them through a rough phase that came about because of a fair amount of grooming/ propaganda is a sin. The threat of cancellation or being called a name ending in ism showed the cowardice of our culture. The lies by the medical experts of suicide risk manipulated parents into agreeing to treatments that will only end in disaster. So many young lives & minds ruined before they have a chance to live a normal existence. Plenty of blame to go around - I hope we’ve learned a lesson.

Interesting. I haven't noticed this very much, except if the sender is quite prolific in a short period of time. I think I found 1 of Alex's emails in my spam folder, and it was during a period of intense activity. Vigilant Fox often sends several blasts per day, and some of his get filtered as spam. I have email through my cable provider's Internet service, and I use Outlook on my laptop to download mail from their server. I check both junk mail folders to be safe, so I don't miss anything I want to see. I wonder if avoiding Google and Yahoo mail helps at all. (I also have a Gmail account, but I almost never use it for anything I care about.)
For what it's worth, I subscribe to several substacks and email notifications have always been sporadic, never regular. Routinely I just use my browser to quickly go to my various subscription pages that way.

Doug, we don’t have to caveat that we’re not racists or whatever. And we also don’t have to caveat that we aren’t sycophants because someone else puts that out there. We know exactly what you’re saying about Alex being “a valuable asset in the fight for truth” and you’re exactly right.
We can hold that opinion and still take Alex to task when we think he’s wrong. That’s one thing we all like about this site. Sycophants don’t call people to task and poor Alex knows most of us have taken him through the wringer at one point or another - even if it’s only via 200 likes for someone who has.

Despite you being marked as “important.” I'd be curious to know if this is another systemic attempt to soften your voice or a simple blip on my personal radar (which I hope to have corrected by reprogramming my gmail /relabeling you as important and a known contact, etc. accordingly.)
I've had this problem for years with Alex and the Babylon Bee. It's been better of late but it's still inconsistent.
Interesting. I haven't noticed this very much, except if the sender is quite prolific in a short period of time. I think I found 1 of Alex's emails in my spam folder, and it was during a period of intense activity. Vigilant Fox often sends several blasts per day, and some of his get filtered as spam. I have email through my cable provider's Internet service, and I use Outlook on my laptop to download mail from their server. I check both junk mail folders to be safe, so I don't miss anything I want to see. I wonder if avoiding Google and Yahoo mail helps at all. (I also have a Gmail account, but I almost never use it for anything I care about.)
For what it's worth, I subscribe to several substacks and email notifications have always been sporadic, never regular. Routinely I just use my browser to quickly go to my various subscription pages that way.
