On the weekend, I'll look at the senders of emails and if unreported truths is one of them, I'll typically read it immediately. Others, I'll get to you at some point.
When my email bongs me and I see it's from Alex, I pretty much stop whatever i'm doing and read it. The people at the stoplight really get pissed when that happens
I’m actually more likely to have time to read something longer on the weekend. During the workday, it’s just another email to try to get out of my inbox as quickly as possible.
I clarify that I will read it anytime and it is perhaps easier for me on weekends so I selfishly chose ASAP. That said, there is likley a bigger hit on a weekday and Id like as much impact for your stack as possible.
Take the weekend off. Play with your kids, spend time with your wife. All of this, while important, in long run, DFM. (Doesn’t effing matter.) I say this as I have known too many people, some in the prime of life, who have kicked the bucket recently. When that happens, screw the rest of this. Enjoy your family when you can. You are your own editor and publisher, you can set your own time to publish. If it is earth shattering and it will make a difference do it asap. If it earthshaking and we can’t do darned thing about it, DFM. It can wait a day or two. We read you because it is interesting and believe it to be the truth. Have some fun. Live life. We die once and don’t know what is on the other side. We have every day to live, so let’s live to the fullest. God bless
I'm on the west coast, so we are 3 hrs behind you folks in the east. I read your emails within a couple of hours after getting up. I have Gmail set up to automatically forward your emails to my wife. That has worked well so we can discuss the content.
I seem to be agreeing with the common sentiment of whenever you are comfortable with the article. I thank you for asking. I am sure you are busy during the week as well as on weekends. So whatever you are comfortable with. During the week I actually am often too busy with work-so I leave them unread in my inbox until I have sufficient time to process them. Sometimes that is a real treat.
You need a third answer of something to the effect "No preference. Whatever works best for you."
I don’t know about everybody else, but I still know how to read on the weekends. Look, I just read this! Weeee ha. I’m reading on a Saturday.
Great now I have MAXWELL of Geico fame ringing in my head weeeeeeee! :)
😂
Agreed. But if Monday morning publication gives it a better chance of leaking into the MSM, I’m for that.
REALLY old people tell me that the Sunday paper used to be a thing.
This! I’ll vote as soon as possible but doesn’t really matter for me.
Exactly! I am retired so any day works for me. I don't lose emails and wouldn't want you to hurry if you don't have to.
What Michael said above.
Whenever you are comfortable publishing it, Alex

I'm so old that I can't tell the difference between weekdays and weekends anyway! Do it when it's most convenient for you.
Me too
If you are working on something about the new Moderna mRNA flu shot, you have my attention and support brother. Please hit them with both barrels.
There is more time to read during the weekend than workday.
Agree
I’m retired. You post when it suits you. I read my emails sometimes twice a day. Nuts?!! Right!!!

Same with me. I read on weekends, but if you prefer to wait till Monday, that’s good also. Everyone needs a weekend to unwind, have fun Alex.

I would wait for prime time
UT emails are never ignored. They stay in the Inbox until read.
