That piece was... well, problematic.
As I'm guessing you know, the Trump county data [NOTE: these are figures David has repeatedly published showing more Covid deaths in counties that voted for Trump, which also tend to have lower vaccination rates] is completely confounded by age - Trump voters are older - and obesity - the Southern states that have the most Trump voters are more obese (and in the Southern counties that went hard for Trump, the DEMOCRATIC voters are more obese too, as they are likely African-Americans, and African-Americans unfortunately have notably higher rates of severe obesity).
Meanwhile, in South Africa, which is all of 26% vaccinated, not only has there been no surge in Covid deaths, they are the lowest they've been in 18 months. And we are now more than three weeks into Omicron in SA - if a surge was coming, it would have started by now. Not to mention the fact that the SA doctors say the Omicron cases are far less severe. Not "30 percent less" (talk about a made-up number that is intended to sound scientific), but far less.
Not to mention the fact that the UK as of now has reported 1 (1!) Omicron death, and it was "with" the virus. Have any other Omicron deaths been reported anywhere? I haven't seen any.
Not to mention the fact that the Danish data and tons of anecdotal evidence (all those vaccinated and boosted outbreaks) suggests the vaccines have essentially NO protective effect against Omicron.
Meanwhile, non-Covid all-cause mortality continues to increase all over Western Europe (and probably in the United States too, though our data are too lousy to tell for a month-plus). That's the most basic marker of population health, and no one has offered any coherent explanation why this is happening NOW when it wasn't nine months ago.
I will gladly debate/discuss in an open forum anytime.

It occurs to me that this whole game of characterizing people who are against mandatory vaccinations - and the vast erosion of personal liberty that entails - as, "anti-American" or unpatriotic, is really something that should be met head on.
I completely reject the notion that my being against getting injected with something against my will makes me a bad citizen.
I am pro-American. Those who wish to violate my bodily sovereignty are anti-American, because they are against the core principles that the country is supposed to stand for - a democratic republic, an open society with due process and the rule of law, a humble inward looking government constrained by checks and balances, a bulwark justice system more than strong enough to keep the tireless wolves of government and corporate tyranny at bay...
But those who would force this upon us... They corrupt all of that by defending the indefensible all the while hiding behind a cloak of faux patriotism and safety. Those guys nauseate me. Really.
I'm so tired of all of the fear mongering. All over the news they are claiming that Omicron is hitting the previously infected. Yet no one is posting any actual data to support this. They are also stating that the fully vaccinated are getting infected with Omicron, which is true. Their answer? Just get your damn vaccine! And if you're vaccinated, get your booster! They are claiming the booster is highly effective against Omicron. They know this after 3 weeks???? C'mon man! I think Marc Siegel from Fox news pisses me off the most. They tout him as being a voice of reason, yet he is spewing this same BS. And he always concludes with, "Wear your mask and get vaccinated."
If at this point you are expecting anything other than propaganda you are wasting your time. They have one mission........ first, know the agenda (in this case spread fear about Omicron) and then find the "facts" needed to support that agenda. If you don't believe they will find the "facts" to support their narrative about Omicron then you haven't been paying attention. They already have plenty of tools at their disposal... PCR tests, hospitalizations or deaths WITH covid, long covid, etc. If they can't generate enough fear using these tools they will just invent new ones somewhere along the way. They have mainstream media, govt, big tech and plenty of doctors and "experts" willing to support the cause.
There is zero chance that the Covidians are going to do anything other than use Omicron to their advantage no matter what the real story is.

Expecting honest, unbiased journalism from the NYT is wishful thinking (in the extreme). As one of Tucker Carlson's guests put it recently, if the government or your employer can tell what to inject into your body, you don't own your body. They do. The absolute and unconditional loss of bodily autonomy is too horrifying to even contemplate.

Dr. Peter McCullough was on the Joe Rogan show a few days ago. He said something I hadn't heard others say before. He said that omicron is not more transmissible than Delta. He believes it is the type of mutation that would be considered an evolutionary mistake because it doesn't actually provide an advantage to the strain. He does not believe that it is going to displace delta, and the evidence so far does not suggest otherwise.

So the year before the SARS-Cov2 pandemic I went into urgent care ill the first week of Dec 2018. They jammed a swab into my brain and 17 minutes later informed me I DID NOT have the flu.
The nurse said probably some type of “corona virus”. This is the first time I remember hearing their term (or paying attention to it). My symptoms were exactly the same except for loss of taste and smell.
Here is the question:
What “variant” was that?
What about the time a couple years before?
What about the coronavirus that has circulated this planet before us arrogant humans even existed?

So the year before the SARS-Cov2 pandemic I went into urgent care ill the first week of Dec 2018. They jammed a swab into my brain and 17 minutes later informed me I DID NOT have the flu.
The nurse said probably some type of “corona virus”. This is the first time I remember hearing their term (or paying attention to it). My symptoms were exactly the same except for loss of taste and smell.
Here is the question:
What “variant” was that?
What about the time a couple years before?
What about the coronavirus that has circulated this planet before us arrogant humans even existed?
Did all of those actual naturally occurring coronavirus just disappear when covid arrived on the scene?
Will big pharma and fauci be requiring boosters for all that as well.

i read the NYC piece before i got to this. was reading through it to my wife saying i should just do a blog where i go through these articles and point out the lies, misleading parts, politicizing, divisiveness, and "unbiased" experts cited.

They’ve tried putting into the public consciousness via recent stories the idea that any current uptick in heart ailments and death are from pandemic related death and marijuana smoking by young people.
I’d posit the myocarditis and other “vaccine” related heart issues are most certainly running in the background of all age groups but are just readily obvious in younger age brackets.
I am certain they are part of the reason for the excess deaths.

If you look at what is going on in the world, there can be no doubt that a global narrative exists. IMHO, it appears to be a co-ordinated and calculated effort to globally identify and track people. The caveat is that it will only work if everyone is in the system. Interestingly, homeless people are not being targeted because they are not consumers or (like kids,) future consumers. They don't count as much as those who eat in restaurants, travel and buy. The real consumers who line the pockets of big tech and corporations - and that means EVERYBODY.
Everyone knows that information or 'data points' about individuals are VERY lucrative/important to tech, government and mega corporations. Now, how would one - if they were interested - understand how people move, who they interact with, what they buy, what they might be tempted to buy, etc aim to achieve this much information about a consumer? If you guessed a global passport than dig, dig, dig. You win the prize. The benefits to the trilogy of evil (government, big tech, corporations,) would be ENDLESS. And powerful. Everything from marketing and selling products, tracking carbon footprints and endless intrusion into your personal lives will be within reach. The virus, vaccinations and absurd mandates were never really what this was all about. If they were, the 'science' and 'pre-treatment' of COVID would have won. The virus and the subsequent vaccination program are merely the stepping stone to getting everyone onto a global system.
Whether or not you show your 'passport' is irrelevant. The mandates are irrelevant. The prize is the passport vis-a-vis the vaccine and the governments will squeeze harder and harder until you get a passport/certificate (or number.) And make no mistake about it; they will bulldoze over us all (chipping away at freedoms and rights,) until we are all on a universal track and trace system. This is how they BUILD BACK BETTER. Globally. Universally. And ruthlessly. The virus, vaccines and mandates were only a means to an end. Welcome to the new world.
