There needs to be a more efficient way to deport illegal aliens. I have seen suggestions to fine landlords and the employers. Cut off all benefits to illegals. Cut off federal funds to blue states. Leave for a while and send agents to red states then circle back. Work smarter and not harder.
The last couple of times I applied for a job I had to submit an I-9 form, verifying my citizenship.
In some industries, the employers deliberately turn a blind eye. They should be fined.
I live in a county with a lot of dairy farms. I’ve heard from some local friends that a lot of illegal aliens work in those dairies. They all have fake IDs and fake Social Security cards. The employers know that, but they don’t ask questions with awkward answers.
I don’t want to see them get fined. But out of necessity they need to be.
I live in WI with a lot of dairy farms and sad to say our industry would seriously suffer without illegal aliens. It is not a lie when people say they do jobs Americans do not want to do. That being said, they should be allowed to apply for some sort of work permit. It's just not feasible to deport all illegals and quite frankly it's inhumane in many instances. When a country turns a blind eye for 20+ years and those people are living solid lives in the US, leave them alone. I'm certainly no open borders person but there has to be some level of compassion. They have nowhere to go in their home countries.

I am for work visas and paying taxes. I live in Texas where everyone’s roof was installed by a Mexican worker. Their home was likely framed by one as well. It is hard work in high heat and humidity— trust me no one else wants to do it. I would favor amnesty for such workers to go home and apply to legally work here, but not est permanent residency esp with anchor babies.

I own my own construction business, and agree, there are people here, working, and are a great asset, who are illegal. People I would have no problem trusting. I'm also reminded of a work subordinate that I helped bring his Russian wife into the US legally. It took about 2 years of requests, and me exerting political leverage I had at the time, to facilitate the request. And that was expedited. What we can debate is the immigration process; but with so many countries that don't keep accurate, searchable records, we take unacceptable risks bringing in large numbers of immigrants. And don't even get me started on asylum requests....

For illegal immigrants that means you can never be an American citizen so get the hell out. There is a process for getting into the US as a legal immigrant. Follow it. If you as a voter don’t like the process then pressure your representatives to vote to change it. It’s easy all you need is the Senate, House and President to agree with you. Enforce the GD law. There needs to be a more efficient way to deport illegal aliens. I have seen suggestions to fine landlords and the employers. Cut off all benefits to illegals. Cut off federal funds to blue states. Leave for a while and send agents to red states then circle back. Work smarter and not harder.

In some industries, the employers deliberately turn a blind eye. They should be fined.
I live in a county with a lot of dairy farms. I’ve heard from some local friends that a lot of illegal aliens work in those dairies. They all have fake IDs and fake Social Security cards. The employers know that, but they don’t ask questions with awkward answers.
I don’t want to see them get fined. But out of necessity they need to be.

They have nowhere to go in their home countries.

The government is offering incentives to self-deport. If they're smart they'll take advantage of that. If not, eventually they'll be discovered and deported w/ no opportunity to legally return.

I own my own construction business, and agree, there are people here, working, and are a great asset, who are illegal. People I would have no problem trusting. I'm also reminded of a work subordinate that I helped bring his Russian wife into the US legally. It took about 2 years of requests, and me exerting political leverage I had at the time, to facilitate the request. And that was expedited. What we can debate is the immigration process; but with so many countries that don't keep accurate, searchable records, we take unacceptable risks bringing in large numbers of immigrants. And don't even get me started on asylum requests....

If you as a voter don’t like the process then pressure your representatives to vote to change it. It’s easy all you need is the Senate, House and President to agree with you. Enforce the GD law. This is just a culmination of the left's frustration with Trump. He learned tremendously from his first term and he and the Republican's have governed way more effectively than the Democrats supposed. He has managed to dismantle many of the left's favored policies - transgender issues, immigration, green energy, tax cuts, etc. - and the pent up frustration is palpable. Even though the deporting of criminal aliens is a 80/20 issue, the left is so intent on disrupting his progress that they now are adopting more extreme measures to stop his continued successes.
