This research was funded in part by NIH to the tune of 600k in 2017, and that's what Rand Paul accused Fauci of in the Congressional hearing in May. This proposal here may have been rejected by DARPA but it was funded by NIH under other grants.

While firmer evidence would need to emerge to suggest this was a deliberate release, it does appear that this type of research (GoF) is geared less toward some noble attempt at predicting a pandemic as it is toward carving out new market niches for biomedical technology (like, say, mRNA vaccines.)
Putting aside the origin question for a moment, the mindless and relentless push of these mRNA vaccines continues to defy logic. Even if they did everything they promised, it is still absurd the way they are attempting to make them a precondition for living.
A pretty obvious explanation (aside from the $$$ coming from an enforced subscription to Pfizer) is that they have bunch of other mRNA tech in the barrel waiting for approval (and, thus, revenue.)

And the problem with this novel technology is that it doesn't produce immunity. It does produce transient antibody levels, but it doesn't engage the immune system in the way naturally occurring disease or traditional vaccines do. It's no surprise to me that we aren't seeing much immune "memory." These "vaccines" shortcut past many of the multitudinous other cellular responses that are part of the immunity process. Since the spike protein presents itself on the cell surface of what the immune system is supposed to recognize as "self," are these mRNA "vaccines" setting up a lot of people for novel and previously unseen autoimmune diseases?
The more I think about how abnormal the mRNA "vaccine" process is, as used in these "vaccines", the more I am inclined to stay away from any of them forever. I don't think they are creating immunity so much as a fleeting antibody response with no immunological memory and it's clear that these have some very dangerous side effects. I fear that we have only seen the first of these adverse reactions. I know too many people who have been vaccinated so I hope I'm wrong.

I'm not a scientist, but this definitely reads like gain of function research, and manipulating viruses to enhance their ability to infect humans using bat coronoviruses. Wuhan scientists were planning to release enhanced airborne coronaviruses into Chinese bat populations to inoculate them against diseases that could jump to humans, newly leaked grant proposals show.
New documents show that just 18 months before the first Covid-19 cases appeared, researchers led by Peter Daszak had submitted plans to release skin-penetrating nanoparticles containing “novel chimeric spike proteins” of bat coronaviruses into cave bats in Yunnan, China.
They also planned to create chimeric viruses, genetically enhanced to infect humans more easily, and requested $14 million from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency DARPA to fund the work.
They were hoping to introduce “human-specific cleavage sites” to bat coronaviruses which would make it easier for the virus to enter human cells.
When Covid-19 was first genetically sequenced, scientists were puzzled about how the virus had evolved such a human-specific adaptation at the cleavage site on the spike protein, which is the reason it is so infectious.
The documents were released by Drastic, the web-based investigations team set up by scientists from across the world to look into the origins of Covid-19.
In a statement, Drastic said: “Given that we find in this proposal a discussion of the planned introduction of human-specific cleavage sites, a review by the wider scientific community of the plausibility of artificial Covid insertion is warranted.”
The proposal included plans to mix high-risk natural coronavirus strains with more infectious varieties.
The bid was submitted by British zoologist Peter Daszak of EcoHealth Alliance, who has worked closely with the Wuhan Institute of Virology researching bat coronaviruses.
Team members included Dr Shi Zhengli, the WIV researcher dubbed ‘bat woman’ as well as researchers from the University of North Carolina and the United States Geological Survey National Wildlife Centre.
DARPA refused to fund the work, saying: “It is clear that the proposed project led by Peter Daszak could have put local communities at risk”, and warned that the team had not properly considered the dangers of enhancing the virus, known as gain of function research or releasing a vaccine by air.
Grant documents show that the team also had some concerns about the vaccine program and said they would “conduct educational outreach … so that there is a public understanding of what we are doing and why we are doing it, particularly because of the practice of bat-consumption in the region.”
Angus Dalgleish, Professor of Oncology at St Georges, University of London, who struggled to get work published showing that the Wuhan Lab had been carrying out “gain of function” work for years before the pandemic, said the research may have occurred even without the funding.
“This is clearly a gain of function, engineering the cleavage site and polishing the new viruses to enhance human cell infectibility in more than one cell line,” he said.
Daszak was also criticized for writing a letter published in The Lancet last year which effectively shut down all global scientific debate into the origins of Covid-19.
Viscount Ridley, who has co-authored a book on the origin of Covid-19, and who has frequently called for a further investigation into what caused the pandemic in the House of Lords, said: “For more than a year I tried repeatedly to ask questions of Peter Daszak with no response.”
“Now it turns out he had authored this vital piece of information about virus work in Wuhan but refused to share it with the world. I am furious. So should the world be.
“Peter Daszak and the EcoHealth Alliance proposed injecting deadly chimeric bat coronaviruses collected by the Wuhan Institute of Virology into humanised and ‘batified’ mice, and much, much more."
A Covid-19 researcher from the World Health Organisation, who wished to remain anonymous, said it was alarming that the grant proposal included plans to enhance the more deadly disease of Middle-East Respiratory Syndrome MERS.
“The scary part is they were making infectious chimeric MERS viruses,” the source said.
“These viruses have a fatality rate over 30 per cent, which is at least an order of magnitude more deadly than Covid-19. If one of their receptor replacements made MERS spread similarly, while maintaining its lethality, this pandemic would have been nearly apocalyptic.”
Peter Daszak, EcoHealth Alliance and the Wuhan Institute of Virology have not responded to requests for comment.

I'm still reading this, but what I'm so far reading is this:
- A grant proposal for research in an area with known areas of cross-over between bats and humans.
What I see is this:
- It could have been an accidental release, but the coverup is MUCH worse! Not just by China, but by researchers in their active dismissal (and consensus seeking for the same) of this possibility by Peter Daszak and others.
- Their efforts to influence social media and scientific platforms and colleagues from openly discussing this, and thus hampering necessary and collaborative efforts to combat this.
- The possibility that this research and results were abused by people (or governments) as a weapon for their respective purposes.
Again, the cover-up is MUCH worse than what happened. And yes, they should be punished for their active efforts to hide and deflect from being accountable for their actions.
Very long document... but if this is true then the research they were doing was actually being done ostensibly for a good reason. They were trying to identify the specific biochemical properties of these viruses that might make them jump to humans and cause disease and then find ways to MITIGATE this. But is it though? I understand how that interpretation can be made; they are trying to get ahead of the game, both in terms of knowledge and in terms of mitigation (e.g. the "pre-development" of a vaccine).
However, this does not happen in a vacuum. Trying to anticipate the twists and turns of nature is always going to be a foolhardy endeavor, and the hubris involved in thinking that you can get one up on impossibly complex natural processes is astonishing.
Considering how (relatively) rare pathogens emerge that have pandemic qualities, it seems obvious that an accident arising from your efforts to predict them through creation are much, much more likely to occur than the thing itself.

If you choose a vaccine I would suggest J&J, it relies on traditional vaccine principles of your body building it's own antibodies. The others (RNA modification vacs) work to change your cellular structure, which is quite different. I think a big part of this issue is mandating and the fact that the vaccine, except for Pfizer is not FDA approved. Not sure, having done a quick read, but here it goes: They created a novel virus and a means to combat it. Surely this would offer financial rewards. The USA / Britain came up with the plan. China participated because of the financial rewards. Is that what I am seeing?
My take: It only cost $14.2m, spread across 3.5 years, to paralyze the world. For the U.S. DOD, $14.2m is a rounding error. Bet they're jealous they couldn't produce as effective a weapon at that price.

DARPA didn't fund it but it was funded as I understand it. What's important about the dARPA document is that it lays out in detail what the plan was (watched a good segment about it on Breaking Points, including other suspicious funding from darpa to ecohealth alliance, was gonna post but could find the darpa only segment again, I think it's in their latest episode). In March 2020 Ralph Baric was one of the first researchers to get a sample of the new virus. He was known for his work in gain of function research before it was paused because of ethical concerns of creating a deadly pandemic. When the pandemic began, Baric was already involved with Gilead developing a new drug called Remdesivir. If these people created the virus and have profited, I hope that will be revealed.
Baric may have been involved, but the drug is fully-developed. It's patented here, and a Chinese drug company, BrightGene, was working on getting an international co-patent, but was supposedly already manufacturing it there. And of course, Soros is involved.

This research was funded in part by NIH to the tune of 600k in 2017, and that's what Rand Paul accused Fauci of in the Congressional hearing in May. This proposal here may have been rejected by DARPA but it was funded by NIH under other grants.

While firmer evidence would need to emerge to suggest this was a deliberate release, it does appear that this type of research (GoF) is geared less toward some noble attempt at predicting a pandemic as it is toward carving out new market niches for biomedical technology (like, say, mRNA vaccines.)
Putting aside the origin question for a moment, the mindless and relentless push of these mRNA vaccines continues to defy logic. Even if they did everything they promised, it is still absurd the way they are attempting to make them a precondition for living.
A pretty obvious explanation (aside from the $$$ coming from an enforced subscription to Pfizer) is that they have bunch of other mRNA tech in the barrel waiting for approval (and, thus, revenue.)
They are ramming it down our throats because Big Pharma and their government enablers can't wait to show us the wide array of glorious "applications" of this novel technology.
And the problem with this novel technology is that it doesn't produce immunity. It does produce transient antibody levels, but it doesn't engage the immune system in the way naturally occurring disease or traditional vaccines do. It's no surprise to me that we aren't seeing much immune "memory." These "vaccines" shortcut past many of the multitudinous other cellular responses that are part of the immunity process. Since the spike protein presents itself on the cell surface of what the immune system is supposed to recognize as "self," are these mRNA "vaccines" setting up a lot of people for novel and previously unseen autoimmune diseases?
The more I think about how abnormal the mRNA "vaccine" process is, as used in these "vaccines", the more I am inclined to stay away from any of them forever. I don't think they are creating immunity so much as a fleeting antibody response with no immunological memory and it's clear that these have some very dangerous side effects. I fear that we have only seen the first of these adverse reactions. I know too many people who have been vaccinated so I hope I'm wrong.

Wuhan scientists were planning to release enhanced airborne coronaviruses into Chinese bat populations to inoculate them against diseases that could jump to humans, newly leaked grant proposals show.
New documents show that just 18 months before the first Covid-19 cases appeared, researchers led by Peter Daszak had submitted plans to release skin-penetrating nanoparticles containing “novel chimeric spike proteins” of bat coronaviruses into cave bats in Yunnan, China.
They also planned to create chimeric viruses, genetically enhanced to infect humans more easily, and requested $14 million from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency DARPA to fund the work.
They were hoping to introduce “human-specific cleavage sites” to bat coronaviruses which would make it easier for the virus to enter human cells.
When Covid-19 was first genetically sequenced, scientists were puzzled about how the virus had evolved such a human-specific adaptation at the cleavage site on the spike protein, which is the reason it is so infectious.
The documents were released by Drastic, the web-based investigations team set up by scientists from across the world to look into the origins of Covid-19.
In a statement, Drastic said: “Given that we find in this proposal a discussion of the planned introduction of human-specific cleavage sites, a review by the wider scientific community of the plausibility of artificial Covid insertion is warranted.”
The proposal included plans to mix high-risk natural coronavirus strains with more infectious varieties.
The bid was submitted by British zoologist Peter Daszak of EcoHealth Alliance, who has worked closely with the Wuhan Institute of Virology researching bat coronaviruses.
Team members included Dr Shi Zhengli, the WIV researcher dubbed ‘bat woman’ as well as researchers from the University of North Carolina and the United States Geological Survey National Wildlife Centre.
DARPA refused to fund the work, saying: “It is clear that the proposed project led by Peter Daszak could have put local communities at risk”, and warned that the team had not properly considered the dangers of enhancing the virus, known as gain of function research or releasing a vaccine by air.
Grant documents show that the team also had some concerns about the vaccine program and said they would “conduct educational outreach … so that there is a public understanding of what we are doing and why we are doing it, particularly because of the practice of bat-consumption in the region.”
Angus Dalgleish, Professor of Oncology at St Georges, University of London, who struggled to get work published showing that the Wuhan Lab had been carrying out “gain of function” work for years before the pandemic, said the research may have occurred even without the funding.
“This is clearly a gain of function, engineering the cleavage site and polishing the new viruses to enhance human cell infectibility in more than one cell line,” he said.
Daszak was also criticized for writing a letter published in The Lancet last year which effectively shut down all global scientific debate into the origins of Covid-19.
Viscount Ridley, who has co-authored a book on the origin of Covid-19, and who has frequently called for a further investigation into what caused the pandemic in the House of Lords, said: “For more than a year I tried repeatedly to ask questions of Peter Daszak with no response.”
“Now it turns out he had authored this vital piece of information about virus work in Wuhan but refused to share it with the world. I am furious. So should the world be.
“Peter Daszak and the EcoHealth Alliance proposed injecting deadly chimeric bat coronaviruses collected by the Wuhan Institute of Virology into humanised and ‘batified’ mice, and much, much more."
A Covid-19 researcher from the World Health Organisation, who wished to remain anonymous, said it was alarming that the grant proposal included plans to enhance the more deadly disease of Middle-East Respiratory Syndrome MERS.
“The scary part is they were making infectious chimeric MERS viruses,” the source said.
“These viruses have a fatality rate over 30 per cent, which is at least an order of magnitude more deadly than Covid-19. If one of their receptor replacements made MERS spread similarly, while maintaining its lethality, this pandemic would have been nearly apocalyptic.”
Peter Daszak, EcoHealth Alliance and the Wuhan Institute of Virology have not responded to requests for comment.

I'm still reading this, but what I'm so far reading is this:
- A grant proposal for research in an area with known areas of cross-over between bats and humans.
What I see is this:
- It could have been an accidental release, but the coverup is MUCH worse! Not just by China, but by researchers in their active dismissal (and consensus seeking for the same) of this possibility by Peter Daszak and others.
- Their efforts to influence social media and scientific platforms and colleagues from openly discussing this, and thus hampering necessary and collaborative efforts to combat this.
- The possibility that this research and results were abused by people (or governments) as a weapon for their respective purposes.
Again, the cover-up is MUCH worse than what happened. And yes, they should be punished for their active efforts to hide and deflect from being accountable for their actions.

Very long document... but if this is true then the research they were doing was actually being done ostensibly for a good reason. They were trying to identify the specific biochemical properties of these viruses that might make them jump to humans and cause disease and then find ways to MITIGATE this. Certainly this argues against COVID being a purposely engineered bioweapon right? In that sense its good news.

But is it though? I understand how that interpretation can be made; they are trying to get ahead of the game, both in terms of knowledge and in terms of mitigation (e.g. the "pre-development" of a vaccine).
However, this does not happen in a vacuum. Trying to anticipate the twists and turns of nature is always going to be a foolhardy endeavor, and the hubris involved in thinking that you can get one up on impossibly complex natural processes is astonishing.
Considering how (relatively) rare pathogens emerge that have pandemic qualities, it seems obvious that an accident arising from your efforts to predict them through creation are much, much more likely to occur than the thing itself.

I haven't read this document yet, but it reminded me of another one that seemed pretty damning. In fact, it's haunted me ever since I first heard about it. Peter in 2015 is quoted talking about using the media to hype up the need for coronavirus vaccines. At this point he's already involved in making coronavirus for Humans in Wuhan. If you choose a vaccine I would suggest J&J, it relies on traditional vaccine principles of your body building it's own antibodies. The others (RNA modification vacs) work to change your cellular structure, which is quite different. The virus "notices" the cellular change and adapts Natural antibody production is designed to kill the virus (as found in previous vaccines: polio, small pox, Hep B, HepA, tetanus, etc.) I'm curious which vaccine Fauci has actually taken---these elites are despicable and should face serious consequences------but probably won't---
Yeah but it's not every day you get to hear them casually talking about controlling the media narrative! I've never felt more like there was a man behind the curtain. Despite all the contradictory information, the media is so obediently on message! I guess that's how it always is with the real reasons we go to wars etc. but this feels even more extreme. We have no idea if they really took the shots! I just heard about doctors who will throw away the vaccine and give you the card for $1000 (no, I don't know where to find them). Those are the kind of doctors you probably get in Washington. And yeah, if I have to take it, I'll take J&J, but my kids already had covid and the day is coming that they will be forced to get it for school and everything else, what then? ugh!
I think a big part of this issue is mandating and the fact that the vaccine, except for Pfizer is not FDA approved. I had the vaccine in the Spring for relocation reasons and am home at this minute with COVID. Pharmaceutical companies are making a fortune----all these FREE human test subjects with Zero liability!

Not sure, having done a quick read, but here it goes: They created a novel virus and a means to combat it. Surely this would offer financial rewards. The USA / Britain came up with the plan. China participated because of the financial rewards. Is that what I am seeing?

My take: It only cost $14.2m, spread across 3.5 years, to paralyze the world. For the U.S. DOD, $14.2m is a rounding error. Bet they're jealous they couldn't produce as effective a weapon at that price.
Updating my comment: According to article in The Telegraph, it wasn't funded: "Darpa refused to fund the work, saying: “It is clear that the proposed project led by Peter Daszak could have put local communities at risk”, and warned that the team had not properly considered the dangers of enhancing the virus (gain of function research) or releasing a vaccine by air." No mention if any other organization stepped in to fund it.
DARPA didn't fund it but it was funded as I understand it. What's important about the dARPA document is that it lays out in detail what the plan was (watched a good segment about it on Breaking Points, including other suspicious funding from darpa to ecohealth alliance, was gonna post but could find the darpa only segment again, I think it's in their latest episode). In March 2020 Ralph Baric was one of the first researchers to get a sample of the new virus. He was known for his work in gain of function research before it was paused because of ethical concerns of creating a deadly pandemic. When the pandemic began, Baric was already involved with Gilead developing a new drug called Remdesivir. If these people created the virus and have profited, I hope that will be revealed.

Baric may have been involved, but the drug is fully-developed. It's patented here, and a Chinese drug company, BrightGene, was working on getting an international co-patent, but was supposedly already manufacturing it there. And of course, Soros is involved.
