Fauci lied about masks and people died. And then switching and saying in April 2020 that people should wear masks and then (in Jan 2021) double masks might be more effective. When will Nature discuss Biden saying "You’re not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations.” on CNN in July 2021? Fauci saying that vaccinated people could be “dead ends” for the virus on TV in the spring of 2021? And Walensky’s March 2021 saying "vaccinated people do not carry the virus". Or when that 6 feet social distancing from DC and then in Jan 2024 (transcript released in May 2024) that the 6 feet distance “sort of just appeared” and was "not based on data", which was rolled out more in the "15 days to slow the spread." Somehow that "15 days" turned into a lot more than 15 days.
Let's be clear: Nature is not an objective, scientific publication, it is a tool of authoritarian statists who want power and will do anything to get it or hold on to it.
Your mention of masks reminded me of the video linked below. At sometime during Covid I came across it. It says a lot that was NOT said a lot during Covid. At the time I was kinda surprised that a 10 year old video on mask usage from OSHA wasn’t promoted more. I ain’t surprised anymore.

Back when I was a postdoc (Immunology), I used to think that Nature was apolitical and that their main goal was to highlight interesting developments in scientific research by publishing the original research studies that were accepted for publication and vetted for merit by a panel of accomplished scientists. One of the most important parts of publishing original scientific literature is to allow for open discussion on the validity of the interpretations from the design of the experiments to the conclusions. We all know that during COVID this was not allowed. Follow the science BS spoken by the chief liar (Fauci) himself was a complete gimmick to pretend like the newly developed experimental mRNA drug was already determined to be completely safe and effective even though it was impossible to determine either the effectiveness or the long term safety in the beginning. Not to mention that the experimental vaccine was mandated and even hospitals etc went along with this. Nature maybe never was the prestigious journal that I thought it was but it really is a disgrace to science in its current form. I wish that Leeming could be tried in court for his interaction with you Alex. What I have learned in life is that in many instances the people at the top are the incompetent ones.

In order to prove that other sources (such as Substack) cannot contain valid scientific information, Nature engages in duplicity, deception, and defamation to bolster their standing. In other words, in order to show the world we are valid, honest, and reputable we will engage in underhanded duplicitous methods.
