On Jan. 30, the Israeli news outlet Ynet wrote about “deaths in the Omicron wave,” focusing on three elderly women who died of Covid in January.

They included Batsheva Ariel, 94, who had survived the Holocaust by jumping off a train bound for the Treblinka death camp.
