The CCP paid Fang Fang. Everyone else did it for free. How amazing it would be if 2 republicans won the jungle primary that democrats designed to never lose because their clown car is too big.

Ryan Gardner's avatar

Tells you everything you need to know about them. They will elevate someone into power, knowing all the awful things they've done, and use those things to destroy that person when they are no longer useful. They are sleazy to the core.

Not even leftist tyranny survives leftist tyranny.

ktrip's avatar

I always think about Torricelli in New Jersey who was losing to Tom Kean Jr.- how they replaced "the Torch" on the ballot at the last minute with ancient former Senator Frank Lautenberg even though the rules did not allow it and no one in the media said a thing.

Ryan Gardner's avatar

The media will dogedly cover a story...with a pillow until it stops moving...

And if it starts breathing, kill it again with the "that's old news" trope, and point out that they made reference to it at the time in a couple of page 8 stories with misleading headlines.

Lynne Hallman's avatar

So democrats have been destroying democracy for decades!

Matthew McWilliams's avatar

At least since the Woodrow Wilson admininstration.

Danno's avatar

Sleazy doings are actually a feature, not a flaw in Democratland. Once they're known to insiders, the Party can exercise control over its politicians by stealth blackmail. This explains how terrible candidates like Swalwell, Joe Biden, and Kamala Harris get nominated, and why the Democrats' "bench" has so little talent. Real leaders don't want to be someone's puppet.

Matthew McWilliams's avatar

Sounds kind of like a Mob tactic. Oh, wait...

Louise C's avatar

Great analysis, Ryan. Democrats love blackmail.

Did it for free more than once. The nudes apparently preceeded the dick pics. These ladies made judicious use of the casting couch. But when the Party calls, you answer with charges "he got me drunk, twice." Seriously?

LRH's avatar

Correct, when the party calls you to do your duty, there is nothing that you won’t do, including laying down your life or killing for the party, that’s their religion.

And by the way, it is beyond overt and blatant that most Republican/ conservative/ right wing sites like Townhall and Red State and Hot Air & PJ media wouldn’t exist if they stopped talking about all the bullshit and scumbags of the left and the media and their ilk.

Do you think these sites could wake up and realize that if they stopped talking about all these despicable leftist shit bags, that the publicity would at least drop by 50% and these leftist losers wouldn’t have an audience so no one would give a shit what’s being shown on CNN, the View or MS Now, or what to read from politico or the New York Times or Washington Post, and who gives a shit what any of the Democrat politicians have to say.

But no, all these anti-left sites can only talk about the left, thanks for keeping it in our faces, assholes!

Newscum is straight up industrial strength can't-miss-it greasy

Snails leave kind of a gross disgusting snot like slime which is Swalwellian

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna is already working on getting him expelled. Nancy Pelosi will fight his expulsion because she doesn't want to lose a Democrat House seat.

Update: Swalwell resigned from Congress. No Democrat fought for him.

Frank Lee's avatar

It seems to be explained by Haidt's work on the moral foundations and the difference between liberals and conservatives in how they process choices that support their behaviors.

Liberals also tend to be secular... reject religion and the associated base of morality.

Per Haidt's work, liberals tend to operate only on care-vs-harm. And when you consider that all humans are egocentric, meaning that they pursue their own self-interest as a first priority, and they also reject base religious morality, all that is left is selfish behavior. Because liberals will fixate on their own care vs harm as their primary driving motivation.

Conservatives more often give up their own selfish interests to rely on the fate of God's plan. They also process choice through a much more diverse set of moral filters that include: Care/Harm, Fairness/Cheating, Loyalty/Betrayal, Authority/Subversion, Sanctity/Degradation, and Liberty/Oppression.

I have been working on this puzzle for decades... why my liberal family, friends and neighbors... people that have led a life similar to mine... have ideas and positions that I consider 180 degrees off from being good or righteous. But they claim I am wrong and mean and uncaring and stupid and a fascist and racist and misogynist and xenophobic and homophobic and transphobic (the list goes on)... when from my perspective they are f*cking irrational, stupid and frankly evil in that their ideas and positions end in massive socioeconomic decline and more harm to the overall human condition.

But this also explains the blatant hypocrisy that has become the hallmark of Democrat behavior. They pursue their own self-interest for power and money and status and they believe this is righteous behavior as it is their moral wiring to believe so.

The bottom line for me is that liberals as a species of human are flawed and thus hazardous in positions of power and influence, and yet their flaws also cause them to crave positions of power and influence. It seems God put liberals in the population to keep the rest of us on our toes to prevent self-destruction. We appear to have taken our eye off that ball and are paying the price with people like Eric Swalwell.

Daniel Hall's avatar

Frank: The disconnect that you and many are experiencing the is classically explained in "A Conflict of Visions: Ideological Origins of Political Struggles" by Thomas Sowell. In this book he describes the two competing visions that shape our debates about the nature of reason, justice, equality, and power: the "constrained" vision, which sees human nature as unchanging and selfish, and the "unconstrained" vision, in which human nature is malleable and perfectible. Well worth reading.

He should have been tossed when the "relationship" with the Chinese spy became known.

Louise C's avatar

Any Republican in the same situation would have been. Too bad the media leans so far left that they suspend their morality to ignore him having an affair with a Chinese spy. Or maybe they don't have any morals?

CMCM's avatar

The media largely ignored Dianne Feinstein's Chinese spy driver of 20 years!

James Schwartz's avatar

You gotta hand it to the Dems. They have dirt on all of their politicians and when they won’t do what the party wants that dirt becomes public to create an outcry that eventually makes said person do what they should have from the beginning. It’s been done plenty of times before. Those in charge run the party with an iron fist even if the whole lot of them should jump off a cliff. I’d imagine both parties have some form of it but the Dems are just so good at it. I also don’t think anyone wants Katie Porter.

Michelle Enmark, DDS's avatar

Exactly, James! I told my husband that Katie Porter may be next. She has skeletons too and several(at least) less than stellar video clips of her behaving badly. Who are the Dems trying to elevate? Becerra? Steyer?

Dena's avatar

Probably Steyer

Louise C's avatar

Steyer is a fraud who made money from fossil fuels while promoting green renewables. Tom Steyer owned and profited from oil, gas, and coal investments through his hedge fund, Farallon Capital, before pivoting to climate activism. While he pledged to divest from fossil fuels in 2012, reports indicate he held lingering investments in oil, gas, and fracking companies for years after. He's like a lesser Al Gore who profits off of the green scam. He is also a friend to Biden. He let the Biden family vacation at his Lake Tahoe estate a couple of years ago.

Dena's avatar
Apr 13Edited

A “lesser Al Gore”, now that’s a low I didn’t know existed. CA doesn’t need another fraud in the Gov. mansion.

Louise C's avatar

Thanks to CA's unique primary rules, Republicans and Democrats compete together. The 2 with the most number of votes are the choices in the general election. It could be 2 Democrats or 2 Republicans or one of each. Steyer probably won't be one of the 2 candidates.

CMCM's avatar
Apr 13Edited

Steyer is flooding the California airways and TV with his ads, which largely just attack Trump. He comes across as an idiot.

Louise C's avatar

That would be my assessment of him.

Trish's avatar

Sounds like the perfect candidate!

LRH's avatar

Stayer is an environmental lunatic. Even though he made him money on the backs of the oil industry.

Michelle Enmark, DDS's avatar

I think you may be right.

Troll Hunter's avatar

Becerra will force all to submit to untested dangerous mRNA injections come the next "plandemic." Is that something we should be voting for?

Michelle Enmark, DDS's avatar

Completely agree that this is not, Troll Hunter, something we should ever vote for again. I received one of those political texts from his campaign yesterday. One of the things listed as an accomplishment was that he got COVID shots into the arms of millions of Americans at no cost to the patients. What he lists as a good thing, I consider to be disqualifying. He obviously views the role of government in a way that is completely different than how I view it.

Dark Thomas's avatar

yeah, it's no accident that all these perverts get recruited. very easy to control and drop when inconvenient.

ironically they seemed to lose control of biden towards the end and essentially had to kidnap him and "quarantine" him long enough to type out a hastily written note dropping out of the race. they probably convinced him he wrote it the next day even though the tone sounded nothing like him.

CMCM's avatar

I can't imagine huge numbers of women in CA voting for Katie Porter. Most working women have encountered someone nasty like her. And surely men find her detestable. However, even if few people vote for her, she could still "win". It's California, after all.

Michelle Enmark, DDS's avatar

I’m wondering if she might be next in the Democrats attempt to consolidate the pool so that other candidates will receive more votes, thereby blocking the Republican attempt at having two candidates who win the jungle primary.

CMCM's avatar

That may be the case! Overall, virtually every one of the Dem candidates is unimpressive at best. But maybe it doesn't matter because the "machine" runs California, especially the Teacher's Union.

Michelle Enmark, DDS's avatar

Good point, CMCM. The former president of the teachers union, Tony Thurmond is a candidate. Correct me if I’m mistaken. Teachers union was number one donor to Newsom, followed by the union representing prison guards, I think…

Allison Brennan's avatar

Swallwell should have been removed from office after sleeping with a Chinese spy, but clearly no one cares about that.

My husband has always said that if a man can break his marriage vows, how can we trust him in public office? Adultery is almost always ignored ... until it's politically expedient not to ignore it.

Dena's avatar

The congressional pay off list to alleged victims needs to be made public. They were paid off with our money.

Sherry 1's avatar

And it must be done away with. These people can use their OWN money to defend themselves. Just the fact that there IS a fund for this is disgusting.

David Young's avatar

As Mollie Hemmingway says: no matter how much you hate regime media, its not enough. These people are deeply corrupt and soulless. Whoever says both parties are as bad is just wrong. Republicans are at least sane.

Tina C's avatar

Dang Karmas a bitch. The little weasel is getting his just dessert 🥴

Louise C's avatar

Remember when Swalwell went after Justice Kavanaugh for sex crimes on the word of an alcoholic woman with mental illness issues who couldn't even name a date or place that she was sexually assaulted by Kavanaugh?

CMCM's avatar

Yes, and I can't tell you how much I relish and enjoy watching his fall from Democrat grace. He so so SO deserves this.

GMan3330's avatar

With everyone screaming Epstein, Epstein, release the files. Now this with Swalwell. How about we start screaming release the congressional records tied to the slush fund that protects the Congress from all their sexual escapades. We could probably replace 1/3 of the Congress.

Leslie Sacha's avatar

Wouldn’t.that be wonderful? Start with the “ lifers” pleeze…

Lisa's avatar

Great idea. How do we get media to start talking about that?

LRH's avatar

How do we get MSN to report this? Just tell them the list contains mostly republicans.

GMan3330's avatar

Lisa it would probably take a full court press from the citizentry since Nancy Mace and Anna Paulina Luna could not get anywhere with legislation.

Michael Carter's avatar

If only he had stuck to DC politics i assume the Congressional Sex Slush Fund would have just paid off all accusers and the voters wouldn't be allowed to know where the money went.

Brogan12's avatar

What is IT with CA politicians and the word SMARMY. Both Newscum and Swalwell exude it! Not surprising in the least to see the DEM party eat their own when no longer useful, but no one cares in this case as scummy as Swalwell has always come off in persona. Let's not forget about that TAXPAYER funded slush fund which still exists in the swamp used for covering legal fees to contain swamp sexual exploits which are common. WHY is that slush fund STILL in existence!

CMCM's avatar

Right after Newscum and Swalwell is Adam Schiff...he's in the smarmy category too, top contender.

Decaf's avatar

It seems everything the Dems—the high and the low—do comes down to either getting more votes/staying in power or virtue signaling, no matter how many people get hurt, killed, prosecuted, robbed, etc, in the process. So Swalwell was good to go until he became a threat to retaining California...

Joe C's avatar

Until she files charges, it never happened.
