Mass deportations are the only way to make America affordable again. Housing, healthcare, and education would improve quality at a lower price when you decrease demand. Leftist open border policies resulting in regulation, inflation, and tax hikes have caused HEH quality to decline and prices to rise for decades: https://yuribezmenov.substack.com/p/make-america-affordable-again

John Strand who is running for congress in FL 19 has that at the center of his campaign: 20/20 sovereignty act. 20 year immigration moratorium. 20 millions deportations. Take our country back. That's the only way we will thrive as Americans.

Need to also stop foreign entities and investors (like private equity, Blackrock, etc.) from buying up housing. There are so many foreign and other investors hogging up housing it is ridiculous. Use AI to find all the hidden corps and LLCs behind this mess.

LRH's avatar

Also, get them out of our politics. The amount of that dark money, everybody talks about needs to be eliminated from buying politicians and government agencies. Eliminate the NGO‘s because most of that money just goes right back into the politicians pockets. With the Democrats getting the majority of that money. And I’m not giving a pass to the Republicans either because there are dirty as the rest of them. Can’t win this country back unless we take our politicians that are corrupt and dirty out of the equation.

I think that you are forgetting that the people you want to deport PAY TAXES!! and who do you think will work all day outside in the hot sun insuring that food is available? Please THINK about the consequences before you suggest ridiculous solutions.

Yuri Bezmenov's avatar

But who will pick the cotton? They take far more welfare than they pay in taxes.

You folks truly make this problem rocket science when it’s not.

Again, marginalize and ostracize people of evil. Obviously, you can’t attack them at moment one, but if you ignore them, reject them and do everything you can to make them completely absent from your lives, these people will freak out. They will either flee to find fertile ground to prey on others, or equally they will likely attack without provocation. And when someone attacks you without any due cause, you have every right for self-defense and put them down like the rabid dogs they are.

But you folks want to continue to make this aconflictual and aconfrontational and expect someone else to do the dirty work.

Again, you have people who depend on you and you do nothing, you are an abject failure as a human being.

The Roman era's declension is best described as a place where bizarreness masqueraded as creativity and certainty.

Does that sound familiar?

Did anyone notice how the absurdities kept getting more intricate, and how the more obvious something is, the more illusory it becomes?

And this is exactly why resistance during the scamdemic was so challenging. Although dissent was censored, that was not nearly as important as making dissent seem somehow improbable

School choice. We have got to find a way to give kids a better education. Specifically, they need real history - the kind that you can learn from to avoid mistakes -. They need economics, REAL economics, so they understand why socialism doesn't work. (Economics was eliminated in my local public school district here in northern Colorado.). And they need to learn to think.

Kids grow up and vote.

We've tried public education the Unionized Government Monopoly way, and it's a total failure. School choice, recently defeated on the ballot in Colorado, is the only practical alternative that might turn things around.

Don’t forget what the infamous Carl Mark’s quoted, get the kids when they’re young and I’ll make communist out of them.

I know this is hard to imagine, but I think in the distant future societies will purposefully separate government and education.

As odd as it sounds, consider how weird it would have sounded to separate church and the state to someone in 1400.

Any discussion about saving America is pointless without discussing communist infiltration and how to undo the “45 Communist Goals for America” that have taken root which were identified by Cleon Skousen, a former FBI special agent turned author and devoted anti-communist.

Key Themes of the 45 Goals (1963 Congressional Record)

-Media and Arts Control: Infiltrate the press, radio, television, and film industry to influence editorial policy and promote propaganda.

-Education and Youth: Gain control of schools, teacher associations, and textbooks to promote socialism.

-Culture and Morality: Promote pornography, define pornography/obscenity laws as "censorship," and promote homosexuality, degeneracy, and promiscuity as "normal".

-Political and Legal Infiltration: Capture one or both political parties, use courts to weaken institutions, and discredit the American Founding Fathers and Constitution.

-Religious Infiltration: Replace traditional religion with "social" religion and eliminate religious expression in schools.

-Family Structure: Promote easy divorce, undermine the family unit, and push for raising children outside parental influence.

-Internationalism: Promote the U.N. as the only hope for humanity and encourage U.S. voluntary disarmament.

Ask yourself if these goals have been accomplished since 1963; I believe they have.

LRH's avatar

I’ve been screaming this stuff for 15 years or more. But nobody wants to listen. Even then conservative media doesn’t bring these points up very often. And when they have a guest that even mentions stuff like that, they’re poo pooed right away.

The conservative movement in this country is doing itself no favors. We have to play like the communist play. Remember, they’re willing to die for their religion (communism). I’m not saying that we have to go that way, but we’re definitely have to put up a better fight.

Check Valve's avatar

Let's go back to the 1970s before Reagan and the following Republicans started destroying the country with unbalanced budgets and putting wars on the credit card.

The last balanced budget was at the end of Clinton's second term and that was immediately undone by Bush and tax cuts for the very rich!

DividedUpWorld's avatar

NAH, let’s go back to the 1960s when Johnson basically thought he’d write a blank check and put as many people on welfare and keep them impoverished and dependent. You folks who attack Republicans as the only problem, you’re beyond dishonest, disingenuous and disdainful. You folks can’t die fast enough for me as far as I’m concerned.

To those who think that last sentence is outrageous and obscene, these people will never go away, their Trump derangement syndrome makes them very dangerous and disruptive and despicable alleged humans.

Lekimball's avatar

Well, the only realistic one is to be self-sufficient, grow your own food, avoid processed foods, prep for when our electric grid goes down if not something worse. This AI stuff is terrifying, but there is no way to fix congress. The confederation of states might come into play. They have quite a few states on board there. As bad as it is not to have any semblance of commonsense government, rogue judges undoing the enforcement of our constitutional LAWS, the fact that we are a confederation of STATES has saved us from the problems of other countries in some ways. To date. Less our checks and balances in the constitution and more just that we have states' rights. But I see the left as being way too easily manipulated by sheer evil. So do the best you can to prep. Try to be kind to your neighbors (luckily we have a cabin on 35 acres in Michigan's UP off the grid where we can go. Solar power, a full propane tank, a full wood pile, neighbors that all have guns and aren't nuts, help each other). But unless the confederation of states (which has problems, too) saves us from a final catastrophe, I don't see any fix to today's government. And there are so many things that threaten us, the biggest: SCIENCE and TECHNOLOGY will do us in and we won't have to worry about government. Ha, I guess I'm as pessimistic as Alex on the long term.

Chartertopia's avatar

Depending on growing your own food is not close to realistic. That's subsistence farming, and very few people have either the land necessary or the time and resources for it. Civilizations progressed because they left subsistence farming behind.

Steenroid's avatar

Or the knowledge. Just watch an episode of Homestead Rescue to see how ill prepared people are to live off the grid.

Lekimball's avatar

Well, I LIVED off the grid for ten years while I taught at NMU, so I am not ill prepared. I'd suggest people get prepared even in their homes. I know exactly what it will take. It's possible of course. I imagine I could make it a year if I had to. I can also fish since I have a trout stream in my front yard, and deer wandering through, a propane freezer. Even in our home in our small town, we have a propane pig. We got it because I was taking care of my father who had Parkinsons and was on oxygen and I was afraid of a power outage. So go ahead, do nothing. But expecting there to be some political solution is the most idiotic thing I've heard. The more independent you are, the better. Just in general and for good health.

Chartertopia's avatar

All that expense is wasted for most people. If the world ever got to the point that kind of backup was necessary, all it would do is postpone doomsday a few months. No society could survive that kind of disaster.

Lekimball's avatar

And ps, you'll be the first person wanting help from your prepared neighbor when the grid goes down. You have no plans for anything at all and no intention of self sufficiency. I'll bet you think health care is a "right" too.

Chartertopia's avatar

You don’t know squat about me, where or how I live, nothing. Yet you claim to know all.

And you think that makes you an expert.

Yeah — from the Greek “X” for unknown, and a little drip under pressure.

Lekimball's avatar

and one more ps. Our forefathers didn't think like you do. If everyone behaved as I suggest, our country wouldn't be in the shape it's in. It's morel likely if China hit us, it would be our power grid because their plan is to infiltrate our country and just take over here. It would more likely be a cyber attack. A convention of states is a last ditch effort to stop the communist left but that is the only constitutional protection that's left to us. Take care of yourself.

Chartertopia's avatar

You don't know squat about what I think either.

Go back to your government job and government pension.

Chartertopia's avatar

How much do you expect? A few hours without power? It's not worth it to most people. The worst that can happen is they lose a lot of refrigerated food. It makes no economic sense for everyone to buy a $1000 generator they will only used once every 5 or 10 years.

Anything more drastic "off the grid", such as growing your own food or keeping a year's supply of rice and beans and water, is impractical and pointless for 99.99% of the population.

Lekimball's avatar

ps. If you are counting on ANY government to take care of you and your family, you aren't very smart. I guess you can argue it's pointless, but that's exactly what is wrong with this country. They all think the government is going to take care of them, they have a "right" to health insurance, and more. And THAT is not "realistic." And it's causing us to kill the golden goose. The corruption and leftist insane policies. And just what is your plan?

Chartertopia's avatar

p.s. Other than four years in the Navy, I have never depended on a government job. Looks like you did. Doesn't make you very self-sufficient. Does make you dependent on government. Does make you dependent on your government pension.

I suggest you walk the walk instead of just talk up a storm of nonsense. What did you teach at NMU, how to be a hypocrite?

Chartertopia's avatar

You leap straight to government. I leap straight to society. You aren't very smart if your choices are self-reliant anarchy and government.

Lekimball's avatar

Well, don't do it then. Sit there and give up. It is a good way to live regardless of what happens. And BTW, we use our $1K generator ALL THE TIME downstate. Everybody should have one. Lots of people are on oxygen for instance and even remote battery machines last only so long. There is no real solution, of course, but to think someone else is going to take care of you is nuts. I am prepared for at least six months I'd say. Of course, if it's a nuclear disaster it might not matter, but if it's an electric grid problem, we should be able to make it that long either here or off the grid. And YOUR solution? But let me tell you, it is NOT pointless.

John Lester's avatar

Also, most people have never had long term power failures. We live in West Coast Florida and three or four years ago we had a seven-day power outage, and we are in the city very close to SRQ airport. In my first 41 years I can't remember the lights being off for more than an hour or two. Beside the cost and storage issues I expect it does not seem to be a real issue for most people.

Lekimball's avatar

That's surprising they haven't. We live in Michigan and there have been a LOT of outages that lasted days, one was out over a week here mid-state just east of us last year. Our power goes out often, we are right by the bay, and I can't imagine not having a generator. Of course, we use it at the camp, too. I/we lived up there for ten years, but I live in my dad's house now through the winter (after he passed) and we lose power here often. It really makes no sense to me not to make preparations. I'm not seeing a political answer to any of this, though if the communist left takes over, we have some recourse in the confederation of states or that provision. I think that's what they are called. It has problems, so it would be a last resort, but it's there. Otherwise, it's hard to see any solutions except taking care of ourselves, our families, and our neighbors.

Lekimball's avatar

ps. This person thinks it is a waste of money to spend $1K on a generator, but people spend that on a phone and computer every day -- which will not work unless you have GPS type phone--in a prolonged power emergency. What do they think is the answer to "save" America? I can't see a political solution except the last resort. Everybody in the US was more independent than they are now--they had to be. If things collapse, that will happen again --AND small communities will help each other like they used to.

Chartertopia's avatar

I have three generators -- a whole house 11kw, a 4 kw propane bottle generator, and a 2kw gasoline generator. But most people can't do that, and the vast majority of people have no need to worry about generators. I also have three months of food. Most people can't do that and don't need to.

Stop thinking everyone lives like you do.

Steenroid's avatar

And if you are off the grid where did you get the rice, beans and year supply of water?

Lekimball's avatar

Oh bologna. We can survive a hit to our power grid that lasts months.. YOU have NO plan and taking care of ourselves is the thing to do.

Chartertopia's avatar

And what about everything else that society produces? Did you grow that six month supply of food yourself? Did you build those generators? Where do you get the fuel from? How about spare parts, filters, spark plugs? If you have solar panels, where did you get them from, and the inverters and batteries?

You’re a faker, a self-delusional fraud.

Lekimball's avatar

What the hell are you talking about? I talked about help from other people and my neighbors in the UP. That doesn't mean you don't take care of yourself. You just get in line for handouts or what? Or do you take care of yourself and help your neighbor. YOU are a pain in the butt. WHERE is your plan? I've heard nothing but criticism and nonsense from you. I've LIVED like this for over ten years when i was teaching at the university. My neighbors helped me and I helped them. That has not a thing to do with taking care of yourself. Stand in line for help and do nothing? That's your speed. I'm a mixed philosopher. Like Socrates. I don't believe in determinism or indeterminism. Let me give you an example. I don't think everything is chance. But I also don't believe everything is totally predetermined. A fatalist falls into the sea, ship sinks, and doesn't swim--it's all decided for him. A person who thinks it's all chance might do the same. But a mixed philosopher who believes he has SOME control over his destiny will swim until someone rescues him and he survives simply because he believes. You believe in nothing.

Chartertopia's avatar

Make up your mind.

Either you’re a parasite depending on taxpayers to fund your job, or your self-reliant and spit on people who depend on the government.

Either you are self-reliant and grew your own six-month supply of food or you bought food others produced and cannot survive by yourself for six months.

Either you have your own oil well and refinery or you depend on others for all the fuel you use.

One way or another, you’re a hypocrite or a liar.

Lekimball's avatar

Ok, you are just looking to fight with people and you contribute nothing in ways of ideas. I guess y ou enjoy being this miserable. So have at it. But you should know you can't help others unless you help yourself first. Don't you ever fly on an airplane. Put your mask on FIRST. All you have contributed is insulting people. And you make no sense, either. Have fun.

There are many potentially fatal things wrong with America today, that probably won't be changed.

Here's a partial list:

* Private equity companies taking over housing, restaurants, prisons etc.

* Schools turning into indoctrination centers.

* Law enforcement that desperately needs reform to make it fair for everyone regardless of race and economic situation.

* A judicial system that forces innocent people to take guilty pleas or face trial with extreme differences in potential sentences.

* Neocons and war profiteers running our foreign policy.

* A totally broken immigration system coupled with a ridiculously porous border.

* A business climate that makes it increasingly hard to start and run small to medium sized businesses.

* Both major parties that despise the 1st Amendment.

* An unchecked creeping private/public surveillance state, driven by Flock security cameras.

* A growing wealth gap that is driving us to a modern feudal system, with no obvious solutions being proposed by either party.

* Giant, unaccountable Nonprofits poisoning the country.

* Foreign influence in our politics driven by nefarious foreign actors, notably China, Israel and the Ukraine.

I think proportioning votes in each election based upon the following principle: you get 1 vote for being an American Citizen and one additional vote for every dollar you pain in income taxes. If you paid no tax or got a transfer payment, you get one vote. If you pay $10,000 in taxes you get 10,001 votes. (Joint filers spilt 50/50). It’s easy. Every one has a tax return. If you don’t, you get 1-vote. The onus is on the voter.

Think about what it means when those who actually pay the taxes get a bigger say in how it’s spent.

Chartertopia's avatar

Better to have a separate new chamber where you vote how much you paid in taxes, and legislators cast the total, not one vote each, same as my proxying idea in another comment.

One advantage is it makes it clear that the rich actually do pay a lot in taxes. Hard to argue that they don't and simultaneously argue they have too much influence.

🌻Sunflower Sue's avatar

In 1998 I remember one of my brothers saying that it should be a requirement to vot to have read the Federalist Papers. Another brother felt that you should have to be paying taxes to qualify to vote. Over the years I've come to see the wisdom in each of these ideas. Ironically one brother is 10 years older than me and the other is 11.5 years younger.

To those who protest for another country AND against the USA, give them a free plane ride for the country they are supporting and say we will back when the reasonable to leave the country they are in. No deportations of such citizens, no punishment. Just a free ride to someplace they believe life is better for a vacation.

The 10 things that I feel will help America are:

1. The government should be required to mail every citizen a summarize statement showing how they spent their taxes - including from sales tax, gas tax, property tax (which comes from your rent), income tax, utility taxes on all your bills, employer paid costs, etc. That would really open all of our eyes to see how much we pay in taxes and fees... and how its spent.

2. The federal government should also be required to send a bill to every citizen and non-citizen in the USA for their portion of the national debt... with a warning that it will become due with interest in so many years if the government does not get their act together.

3. Kick businesses especially foreigners out of owning single family homes. Denying American families access to owning their own home keeps families poor for generations to come.

4. Stop taxing inherited items like business and houses - only tax them if they are actually sold! This will give our society stability.

5. Do not allow foreign entities and companies to buy up our land. American soil should be for Americans. For example, in the Southwest, farming by foreigners is greatly depleting the fresh water underground reserves and its not being replaced. They depleted the water in their homeland and now they are doing it to us, but they don't care because its not their fresh water.

6. Reduce cost to families and businesses and also reduce waste, by extending the life time of appliances, electronics, and home tools. Whether you realize it or not, products are designed to fail and the fail dates are getting shorter and shorter all the time without any consequence to companies. We need to mandate that products must be designed to last at least a minimum time period or companies have to pay huge fines for creating so much waste or something - and some kind of benefit for lifetime lasting items.

7. Schools need to stop focusing only on teaching reading, writing, math, environmentalism, victimization, and sexual topics. There needs to be more of a focus on logic, the foundational tenants of the USA, right/wrong, seeking truth, hard work, and how to have a successful life. I think only school choice will make that happen, because then citizens can choose which school based on what they teach.

8. Kids under 13 should not have smart phones or regular access to the internet or TikTok, YouTube, etc. The internet should not be raising our kids. An option is going with a Gabb 3e watch with the ability to text and call approved individuals, but no internet access. Its what I have for my kids. We also need to have a way to allow YouTube videos on certain websites to work, like if your kid wants to watch a video that unlocks with the CrunchLabs crate, but giving that permission should NOT allow access to any other YouTube content or the YouTube website.

9. Remove eco-rules that made blenders not work well because they don't have enough power to mix the dough, washers not hot enough to actually clean clothes, dryers that don't dry clothes until after 3 cycles, etc. Every time an old appliance broke, I wept buying a new one because it was garbage.

10. Instead of fighting wars overseas, fix our outdated infrastructure and stock pile weapons/defenses so we won't be attacked. We should be fixing rail lines, reducing the possibility of train collisions, updating utility lines, putting lines underground so won't cause fires, replacing old bridges, and making our utilities more secure, creating a defense system, etc.

Not mentioned, but of critical importance, is to work tirelessly to defeat the cult of apocalyptic environmentalism. Recent generations of young people have all been indoctrinated into the false belief that human caused climate change will destroy the planet in their lifetime. The UN IPCC has now determined that any possibility of catastrophic conditions would be at least 150 years away. Further they have determined that no links between human CO2 and extreme weather events can be established at this time. These facts are so completely at odds with what nearly everyone under 40 believes today that you could say more believe in the tooth fairy than accept these facts. Every weather broadcaster in America adds admonishments into the reporting of every extreme weather event in every broadcast in America. Europe is worse. No wonder child births are down and voluntary unemployment is up, why do anything if we’re all going to experience death and decline at the hands of climate change. We all need to work every day in every way we can to break this evil spell.

Alex, got to comment on the tomatoes. Skin has a measurable neurotoxin in it to repel insects and even animals. Grasshopper taking a bite is dead in 2 minutes. Ever see an animal eat one? The skin, more so the seeds and goo, are also lectin bombs. Like all nightshade plants. GI tracts are not pleased with this fact. American Indians knew better (early settlers didn't pay attention) roasted them (as well as peppers, egg plant, etc.) took off the skin, tossed the goo and put seeds into the seed basket, ate "the meat" of the fruit (botanically correct). It's why until European's figured this out they were not to popular when brought back there. Par boiling, removing skin, tossing goo and seeds if not wanted solved the problem...and made for amazing Italian cuisine.

Decaf's avatar

I keep seeing headlines, sponsored headlines, about how terrible tomatoes are, but never heard in what way. Thank you. Finally, an answer.

Ivan Mectin's avatar

They also contain high levels of lycopene which reduces the risk of heart attack. Blueberries are a nightshade and they are one of the healthiest fruits you can eat.

Blueberries are widely recognized as a nutrient-dense "superfood" with potent disease-fighting properties, primarily due to their high concentration of antioxidants like anthocyanins, fiber, and essential vitamins. Regular consumption is strongly associated with reduced risks of cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and cognitive decline, while supporting gut health and weight management.

Key health benefits supported by scientific research include:

Heart Health: Regular intake (at least three servings per week) may lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart attacks, while improving blood vessel function and elasticity.

Brain Function: The fruit's antioxidants can protect against oxidative stress, potentially delaying age-related cognitive decline and improving short-term memory.

Blood Sugar Control: High fiber content helps regulate blood sugar and insulin levels, making them beneficial for managing pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes.

Nutrient Density: A single cup provides significant daily values of Vitamin C (approx. 24%), Vitamin K (36%), and manganese, along with 4 grams of fiber for only about 80 calories.

Both fresh and frozen blueberries retain their high antioxidant levels, with wild varieties often containing up to twice the fiber and calcium of cultivated ones.

Decaf's avatar

Thank you for this. I've just been doing research on the subject, and it seems tomatoes, like many things, are a mixed bag. I'll keep eating them but probably peel Roma tomatoes for cooking. A varied diet once again comes up as the way to go.

Nasty1's avatar

Let me give you some other insights. Cashews are not nuts...they're seeds...and equally toxic to your gut. Lectin (gluten is only one of the them) bombs. They grow on cashew trees as a seed pod attached to the cashew "apple" which is edible. Not sure of the health issues around the apple, however, the cashew seed attached is toxic.

Decaf's avatar

Oh no, another food I like. Thank you.

I hope that's the last surprise today.
