In my world, interventions, assumptions, etc being proven in court is non-existent. I have to rely on my own wits, what I am seeing going on around me, what my colleagues are discussing, and in the event of things like COVID what APPEARS to be going on. Physicians have been trained to think this way for generations and it worked well. It has only been in the past 10-15 years or so that the top-down strategy and one of its corollaries "being proven in court" has ever been mentioned.

Just this AM, I had to start a patient on blood pressure meds.....Will it be lisinopril? amlodipine? valsartan? which one? ----- Maybe I should go look at lexus-nexus and find what the US Courts are saying. They did not need it on the pediatric schedule as long as there was an EUA -- EUAs are also exempt. But the EUA expires and they had to have it on the pediatric schedule before it was allowed to do so. That is why they dragged out the EUA long beyond there being any emergency.
