A bit more on the baby bust issue (and my general attitude towards reporting and what I am trying to do with Unreported Truths)
A reporter approached me with questions; hope you find the answers interesting.
Tons to write this week - about the mRNAs and strokes, what’s happening in Gaza, the incredible (and deserved) blowback that one of the leading lockdown lovers/mRNA fanatics received this weekend. Also reader views on the baby bust - last week’s piece generated a ton of attention…
But first a subscriber-only bonus. Apparently Unreported Truths readers weren’t the only ones interested in the article. On Friday, this email landed in my in-box:
The Federalist asked me to do a short write up for their readers about your latest substack on the birth rate crisis. I know there will be more in your series, but I wanted to reach out to you to see if there’s anything you’d like to add now…
I think the gist of the piece may be something like how now that your COVID views made you persona non grata in polite society, you are liberated to speak your mind about this deadly third rail in western politics. So my questions are:
1. You write that this issue is one in which “the future of humanity is at stake.” You also say that the recent wedding made this depressing reality hit you “again.” So, would you say you’ve felt this way a long time, and since when-ish?
2. Did your views on this come as a result from exploring the gato/eugyppian extremes of the internet since your departure from the mainstream, or did you always have this worry but were unwilling/unable to explore it until your “mainstream media” credibility was already gone?
3. Is it something you ever brought up at the Times? Did they pressure you to not bring it up?
4. Birth rate discussions are one of those things that the corporate media mouthpieces immediately brand as extremist fever swamp Tucker Carlson/Michel Houllebecq far right wing radicalism (if they’re polite, otherwise they just call you a Nazi). Do you think there’s any chance these totally legitimate worries make it into the mainstream, or will they be as buried as COVID vax side effects and excess mortality?
5. Are you familiar with Mark Steyn’s bestseller on birth rates from 2006, America Alone? Did that help shape your thinking or did you come to this by other means?
6. Finally, tying it in to recent events, do you think all the pro Hamas mobs across the West this week, including the ones making Jews hide in attics in New York (!) colleges, will help wake the mainstream up to the power of demography?
(My answers - which I think may surprise you - are below the paywall.)
